Kanaydian Music's Definition: My husband attends this school. It’s way better than taking English prep at a university. If you’re an international student needing to upgrade your English prior to your program, it’s a cheaper and more friendly option. They go above and beyond to see you succeed. I’m really happy my husband is going here. Before he was here, he was in a school that only had one on one classes and they charged so much. Here he has a class with a maximum of 8 students, and he is learning so much better. Deleasha was a great help with getting us started. 10/10 I would recommend this school to anyone looking to improve their English in Seattle and the surrounding area.

We receive daily updates about music classes, art classes, and Asian folktale classes. Every time I pick up Henry, multiple administrators and teachers say goodbye and cheer him on. From day one, we have felt comfortable entrusting our children in the hands of the teachers at YCA because they showed us so much patience as new parents and showered our boys with so much love, while ensuring they were always safe. The structure at YCA has allowed our boys to not only overcome some behavioral issues over the years, but also learn to absolutely love school and learning. When COVID hit, virtual kindergarten was not the best option for our oldest who had already graduated from YCA. Due to COVID, YCA received extended licensing and were able to accommodate him returning for a hybrid school year where he absolutely thrived. I could go on and on
Gabriella: YCA has been an incredible part of our lives. Our two girls have flourished there and the relationships that we have formed with their teachers--and other parents--have been wonderful. The communication from teachers--including a daily handwritten journal entry relaying some unique component of each child's day--is unparalleled. The app by which parents are able to communicate with the school is user-friendly and I've never waited more than a few minutes for a response. The school's administrators-- Chia Pei and HaeLim care so much about the children and expend the energy to bond with each of them. I cannot say enough about this school. We are so lucky to have found it and will be crushed when our youngest ages out.

The director spent time with our off-class tour and our concerns. The teachers are super responsive and patient. providing daily journals and interaction using app. Love them all! They even have music class and special Asian folktale class for small toddlers. If we keep living in this area, will stick with this daycare.
Kate MacDonald: from our 4 year old. Most adults don't understand where Dutch people are from! He learned this from his YCA teacher in their world studies class. They have the best foreign language program around - it's more comprehensive than even the local private elementary schools! Spanish and Japanese every week. We'll be leaving in a few months before our youngest starts K, and we're sad to be saying goodbye to the wonderful YCA family.
S Bear: Young Child Academy is absolutely wonderful. As my son moves on to kindergarten, we will definitely miss his time here.The Pre-K program is excellent with friendly veteran teachers, a variety of activities and learning, and friendly diverse kids and parents. There is a small but nice outside courtyard for playing. In the spring the kids make a weekly trip to the park. The monthly sharing day is the thing to which my son always looked forward.From a parent's perspective, the downside is that you have to pack your kids' lunch.

Amy Claxton: We have had a great experience with this school for both of my 2 kids. I had them in Chinese Immersion. It’s all Mandarin, except there is also a Pre -K portion in English for that age group. Good hot lunches and snacks also provided. Communication is good as well!
Ching Fong: My two children attended IMA from the toddler program through the Chinese Immersion program, including summer camps. I like that organic lunches are included, there's PE, extended care until 6 pm. Optional extracurricular activities are seasonally offered. When my attached child has a hard time getting into class, he's treated with empathy and recovers quickly. I'm proud of how the teachers and faculty at IMA have helped me raise my kids.I wish foreign language was offered during summer camp. Note that tuition is nonrefundable.My emphasis of education for my kids are on improving language skills, practicing life skills, developing self confidence/reliance and empathy towards others. Success at this school helped them set a solid foundation for the next stages of elementary school.[Updated] The playground structure renovated 2019.

Erin Walker: We have attended a number of Montessori programs in the Bellevue/Redmond area with our two children and IMA provides a wonderful combination of the Montessori environment with learning another language! We are so thrilled to have this opportunity for our younger child who is currently in IMA's Spanish program. Our older child currently attends Puesta del Sol Elementary and we are confident that IMA will provide a wonderful foundation for our younger child to develop the love of learning...my only wish would be for the Bellevue School District to incorporate more Montessori learning into their curriculum! We have been attending IMA since the opening of this location in October 2013 and it has provided a rich environment for our child to learn and develop. Also, the summer program last year was perfect for our older child to venture into learning a third language! Thank you IMA for providing this remarkable environment for our children to grow in!!
