Seattle Best Tea: what do users think?

Sophia D: Yum boba

Jennifer Wyatt: My go-to boba place in the International District. They use real brewed tea and you can customize the level of sweetness. My favorite is the yogurt green tea, half-sweet. There are options for whatever flavors you like and the helpful staff can guide you toward something you'll enjoy.PS If you found this review helpful, would you please "heart" it? Thank you!

Shane W: Seattle Best Tea is truly the best tea in Seattle. I highly recommend their Heavy Oolong and Pu'er. They also have expensive teas from Yunnan and Fujian, the two lush provinces where tea was first invented and where it spread throughout the world. The Heavy Oolong is a must!

brenda schwent: My favorite!!! I have gotten so many boba drinks here but always was losing the cards so ive never gotten a free one. This place is really seattle best tea though. Theyre all so nice too.

Huong Truong: Fantastic light oolong milk tea flavor that felt very high-quality! Service was also top-notch and very quick. I came in ~20 minutes before closing. The person working the counter greeted me cheerful and proceeded to make my order before I even got the chance to take a turn around the shop. Highly recommend and glad they stay open past 6 p.m.

Friday Afternoon: what do users think?

H B: The tea shop is very quiet inside with enough chairs and tables to drink and read for a long period of time. If you are a fan of their assortment of tea leaves, you can now get a in-person look to peruse various unique combinations you can only find at Friday Afternoon. I really enjoyed de-caffeinating and soak in the quiet away from the busy outside streets. There aren't that many snacks to go with the tea, though. Inside is smaller than I thought from having looked at the pictures, but has that cozy atmosphere.

Morgan Biddlecom: First encountered Friday Teas at a local convention a few years ago and I really love all the different blends and such they have, but going to the shop itself is a whole new experience! Played a really cute boardgame with my friend while sipping some expertly made tea. The staff is so knowledgeable and was willing to talk to me about tea and how to brew it and the history of it. I learned so much!I don't get up to that part of the city often, but Friday Afternoon is a mandatory stop whenever I do!

Robyn Johnson: My absolute favorite place all of the PNW is a little red chair in seattle's queerest tea cafe that feels more like home than a business. Especially with the recent decor change, I feel like anyone there could easily enjoy a cuppa tea, a good book, and maybe some quiet music on headphones. If you haven't tried any of friday's blends, I encourage you to do so; you won't be disappointed.

drew: There are dozens if not over a hundred tea options here. I had a delicious blueberry peaflower tea. Their large pot is definitely enough for two people to share, maybe even enough for four people if you’re not too thirsty.

Buck Wayne Mayden: I absolutely love it. They have every tea you can think of and more. They have seasonal tea, themed tea, and you can even have your own custom tea blend made upon request. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I've really been enjoying chess club on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Highly recommend for geek culture, inclusivity, and great tea!

chessa goss: Delightful tea shop. Wanted an herbal tea and was recommended the Red Chai. Perfect with a little milk and sugar on a cold day. Service, atmosphere, tea menu A+. If you know what taste you would like or even just non-caffeinated, these folks will make the perfect cup.Dietary restrictions: They ask you about your allergiesWheelchair accessibility: I was able to order take out with my stroller

S BY: and Golden Snails

Cecilia (Chaoticrambler): I’m a regular at Friday Tea. They always go above and beyond. They just recently did a massive remodel to improve the setup of the space, to try and provide us with the coziest atmosphere they could. They have delicious teas for every occasion and the staff is all very kind and compassionate and willing to explain the teas. The snacks? Delicious. I get both dine in and delivery from them whenever i can and the tea never disappoints

Alex Markey: This place is a treasure. The owners are so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended for anyone who is interested in tea.

Fernando Lobato: I’ve been getting tea here for a few years and they have some of the best in Seattle. While I get tea from a lot of places, this is by far my favorite, always amazing quality. Try the special grade green tea. When properly done, it’s exquisite.Amazing family owned business, they are awesome and will teach you how to properly steep and enjoy it.

Alex Mulyar: Some of the best green tea in Seattle can be purchased here. Family owned business, very kind and accommodating to all who come in. I always enjoy stopping in whenever I’m in the area.

Hannah Patience: A beautiful tea shop with incredible tea and even more lovely people. Thank you so much for your hospitality and the tasting while I was visiting Seattle. I’m loving the pu erh cake I purchased!Recommended dishes Cakes …

Perennial Tea Room: what do users think?

Kyle Miller: Fantastic loose leaf tea shop. Staff is always friendly, and knowledgeable. Tell em what kind of flavor you're looking for, and they have always had a recommendation, or been honest and would say they didn't have quite that and would offer an alternative.

Mandy Gillis: Such a fun tea shop with loads of great flavors! My recommendation for a perfect black tea is the Yunnan Congou!

Patrick Tabor: Great selection of tea. I wish they labelled more info about the sourcing and pick dates of the tea, although it is undoubtedly high quality. Something I noticed is that they use clear jars for storage and clear plastic wrapping for the samplers which is a shame to do to such fine tea. Wish they had fancy teaware, but they do sell some of various colored ceramic.

Lachlan Hetherton: Bought some Assam here last week while travelling for work - excellent selection of tea and extremely helpful staff. I was so impressed, I brought some friends back within 15 minutes!

Quinn Penney: They had a wide selection and a very friendly staff.

Polly: Friendly staff and great selection of teas. The milk oolong is one of my favorites, and this shop was no exception! I got a hot tea to-go.

William parker: Very nice buying experience

Amy Thompson:

Kiersten Berton:

Kristina Schoonmaker:

Lindsey Spoor:

Judy Hogg Nathanial Klein:

Queen Mary Tea Emporium: what do users think?

Torrei W.: Great high quality fresh loose tea options. When we arrived there was a sample kettle of tea out for the customers. The shop is small and quaint with decent pricing but not the most competitive likely due to distribution buying power for small shop. Highly recommended some of the best loose tea mixes here in Seattle.

Mari MacLane: Best tea! And lots of fun, pretty tea things

Jules Hetland: Great service. Lovely presentation. Wonderful setting.

Moto Rob: Excellent quality teas and food. Place is very small, with cramped seating and the Victorian chic styling looking a little dated, but a fun tea time experience outside of hotel options.

Diana: A very large selection of teas. Recommend!Just do not confuse, this is a store and a few steps up the street is already a restaurant for tea drinking.

Rachelle Sonneborn: Tea here is a wonderful experience

Freddy Israwi: Very extensive inventory of tea flavors, tea making paraphernalia, and tea culture books. Plus you can ask for any of the tea flavors prepared in a to-go cup and drink it in their quaint patio

Ava Sakowski: I was able to experience queen Mary Tea at TheRestaurant at Rhodes River Ranch. I tried the hazelnut honey bush and loved it so I bought the bag and the cup thank you for a lovely tea experience at a lovely place.

Alyssa Brake: I have always had a sublime experience here. The tea emporium has a wide variety of splendid tea with unique flavors and charming classics. The shop is clean and well stocked with beautiful tea cups and pots, books, to go mugs, other tea related accessories and tasteful cards. Love visiting here for my favorite loose leaf teas.

Gene schaffer: Can't ask better for such a unique variety and blend of teas. It's so tough to choose from to the point I want to cover my eyes and randomly point to a tea and then say I will take that for my order. Add to it any you-name-it accessories for brewing and very creative pots and cups.

Esmeralda Botello: A petite and quaint tea shop, holding both eclectic and traditional tea varieties. I will be returning. The chestnut black tea is very delicious. Add in some milk and a wee bit of sugar and you’ve got a rainy Seattle twist on a classic cuppa.

Sarah Thomas: This is one of the few places in this country where you can get high quality fresh tea. I used to go to Canada to get my tea but now I don't have to and their staff is always super pleasant and helpful..

Aditya Vis: Wonderful people. Friendly staff. Incredible collection.

Rina Geoghagan: Queen Mary’s Tea Emporium is a hidden gem. The teas are amazing and made by Mary herself. The lemon chiffon rooibos tea is the best tea I have ever consumed. They also have tea and crumpets to go. So good!

Sara Benabderrahmane: Wonderfull! I recommend this is better than any halal store ive been to around here !

Jirius Isaac: Good place to get Middle Eastern foods and products and meat and vegetables and basically everything relating to that

Brenda J Stratton: Love visiting this small speciality shop. Many items different than regular retail groceries. Always gave to try something new when I visit here.

Eman Sadoun: A good store with fresh halal meat.It has a bit of everything you need.

Brynn Eden: Warm and welcoming. Bring cash as they do give you a slight discount. They have a good selection for groceries. There are two solid places to get pita in the area and Goodies is one of them. I will also say for spices I'm never let down. The deli up top has manoushe that comes out hot from the oven. Get yourself a cheese and za'atar manoushe with the pickles. Perfect comfort food.

Craig Mohn: Nice people, good selection of olive oils, well-curated selection of olives and cheeses, good meats, nice selection of bottled and canned goods, pitas, and fresh hummus and baba ganoush.

H Baloch: Not much to buy but good were good.

Ayat Liftawi: , cheeses, olives, herbs etc..The employees so friendly and helpful especially samira she is the best👌🏻👌🏻

Jeff McCoy: Goodies is a great place to find middle eastern items. There virgin olive oil is top notch. Best to shop with cash.

Atulea: what do users think?

Caitlin Christian: Very cute inside and friendly staff, good playlists too! Much smaller than I expected from photos online.Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for alternative milk

Laura: Genmaicha hot chocolate was amazing - nutty, chocolatey, and not too sweet nor too rich. Matcha is great quality, and is properly sifted.I've tried some of the milk teas with boba, but wasn't as impressed, here's why:- their cups are smaller than typical boba cups, so if you add topping

Nam Anh Johnson: Safe to say that I hard launched my relationship with matcha. I went in with a lot of questions since I am new to drinking matcha. The baristas were so kind. I just got what one of them recommended which was a iced strawberry matcha with coconut milk. I asked for mine to be half sweet which was delightful. There wasn’t plenty of seating so I ended up waiting for a table which was not bad at all.Would definitely come back!

Dru Chan (Kitoshi): I was not expecting this place to pass expectations, but it kinda did. On top of that, I wasn't expecting white people boba to be this delicious? LOLI came here when me and my friend was trying to search for a boba place around capitol hill, and I was just walking around with him in the park just down the street. It was just a regular exercise type of day and I just wanted to satisfy a boba craving. We arrived, and omg during a weekday afternoon the place was already full and packed with tons of people sitting in their seatings spots. Was not expecting this place to be popular, but it seems so. Good for them! And then we proceeded to order drinks. I got their Hojicha something something boba. I might have told them half sweet with pearls, I really don't remember anymore. I only have like 1 photo of the place and it was the outside because there were no more seating within the establishment. After my first sip of the boba, I was surprised, white people do a great boba. The Hojicha was perfectly bitter and creamy at the same time. On top of that the pearls were delicious and perfectly sweetened. I would still give them 4 stars for their drinks and how amazing it was. I might be coming back? But we will see in the future! Good Job y'all.

nonkichi: Genmaicha Hot Chocolate $5.45Dirty Matcha $5.95The tea had a strong taste, was not too sweet, and was very delicious! For matcha drinks, they will make matcha on the spot 😊At a regular cafe, even 25% sweetness can be quite sweet, but at this cafe, even 50% wasn't too sweet and you could still taste the tea, which made me happy!Although the number of seats is small, it is a clean store with a cute interior On my second visit, I took out Matcha Latte and Ube Coffee Latte!Ube Coffee Latte was especially delicious 🍠 I want to go again!postscriptAfter that, I continued to visit and accumulated point cards It's delicious no matter when you go!

The Souk: what do users think?

Kevin Alexander: Gem of a shop nestled in north end of Pike Place Market. Reasonable prices for Middle Eastern and Indian specialty items. Warmand friendly owner and the baclava … yum.

Ko B: Stepping into The Souk in Seattle, you're greeted with the delightful aroma of fresh baklava and the warmth of the charming shop owner. Their baklava is the star of the show - a heavenly blend of buttery phyllo, rich nuts, and a perfect touch of sweetness. It's not just a treat; it's an experience, enhanced by the owner's captivating stories and genuine hospitality. A must-visit for anyone in Seattle craving authentic baklava and a touch of heartwarming conversation.

Micah Clark: Absolute gem of Seattle for Indian and Arab food ingredients. A small shop but staffed by the sweetest most helpful people. They had no problem helping me find things and are the nicest folks around.

Pan Mittal: This place has a lot of kitchen and other household stuff you need from India and the Middle East, and it’s perfect for last-minute shopping. You can count on their opening hours, unless Pike Place is having a special event. The cashier is super friendly and will help you find exactly what you need or something close enough.

Choodamani sampath: got all the things i searched for and much more. great!!

Yassir Solomah: Great selections

Mary Willhite: We came here for dinner staples while staying at the marina. They had an awesome assortment of spices and other ingredients. Then we found their baklava and I think it is the best I have ever had. The kind lady who runs the shop makes them fresh each morning and she was adorable and welcoming. We will be coming back to the market for this shop specifically.

omar khalife: Excellent home made baklava

vrinda pahuja: Some of the very few stores in downtown Seattle that have Indian groceries. They don't have a lot of variety but you'll mostly find the basic necessities. You can call them to confirm if you they have what you need. The person who answered my call and later helped me with the in-person order was very helpful.

Sudharshan Chakravarthy: The best Baklava in Seattle, hands down.

Rich Hladky: Exotic foods and friendly staff

Taha Qaraqe: Great chance to find plenty of middle eastern food supplements and gadgets. Very friendly owner and manager.I will let the photos speak for what this shop has!Definitely all kind of spices and pickles. Frozen Halal meat, poultry, okra, Mlokhye, hotdog, and sambosa.Fresh homemade baklava and delights.

Poda NaveenChowdary: Brought chilli powder here

Julie McKinney: You know when you go to an international food store and you search around for hours looking for what you need. That was not my experience here! The shop was small and I was looking for several Indian spices . The lady who worked there helped me find everything.. and they had everything I needed. Amazing!

Floating Leaves Tea: what do users think?

Heidi Reichert: Tea is very high quality and I am very pleased with my order that arrived expeditiously. I got a handwritten note too from Shiuwen xxoo. Santa Fe loves you FTL!

Lani M.: Update**We came back for another class and it was wonderful again. So much fun and we learned a lot. If you want to learn more about tea from brewing, tasting, smelling, and understanding quality of tea leaves email them and set up a class. You won't regret the experience!!I can not recommend this place enough. My sisters and I went here for a tea class and the owner was knowledgeable, funny, and extreamly skillful. She taught us a lot and explained things in a way that even a beginner could grasp. Learning this style of tea has become a real source of joy for us and this class helped all three of us expand in that in different ways. We are already looking forward to coming back for another class on our next trip to Seattle. If you are interested in gongfu style tea, Chinese style tea, or Taiwanese style tea this place is a must. Make time for a class on your next trip. You won't regret it.

Laeo Light: Amazing little shop. You can get everything you need here, including an education on how to make tea. The shop owner is so kind and made me feel very welcome despite how new I was to this. Definitely visit.

Max Yehaskel: Incredibly knowledgeable and kind, fantastic tea

Kevin Ng: One of the few tea places in the city that emphasizes the phenomenological aspects of tea consumption and the art of appreciating the aroma, textures, and aftertastes of 乌龙茶! Too often do tea galleries have a knee-jerk tendency to list lots of supposed health benefits of teas without any consideration of the quality of the empirical studies underpinning such clinical claims. Unlike those places, this tea store sidesteps the whole 'health benefits' trend entirely and focuses on the much more straightforwardly accessible experiential dimension. The importance of this dimension ought not be underappreciated!

Ray Lee: Floating Leaves sells high quality tea and has great service. I’ve ordered twice and things are always neatly packed with an additional sample and personalized note. Their descriptions come with a lot of transparency that gives me confidence in the product. Highly recommend the Alishan Black, and any Oolong they stock.

Leslie Douglas: Favorite place to order the best oolong ever!! They are also so kind and I am grateful for all the knowledge they share with their community!

Izzi Humes: amazing tea store with an excellent selection of oolongs and pu erhs! if you're looking for high quality tea, this is the place

Eric Reimer: They carry high-quality teas. Online ordering is easy. Delivery is quick. Each time I have ordered, I get a hand-written note thanking me for the order and a sample of something they recommend for me.

Darren Leung: I visited today hoping to better understand how to appreciate oolong teas and had the pleasure of speaking to Noah. He was extremely knowledgeable and his enthusiasm was contagious. I very much look forward to returning for more. A true 5 star experience.

Lilly Morning: This place has great selections on Oolong and Chinese black tea. The owner is very knowledgeable and she hand picked the best tea from the tea farms in Southern China and Taiwan. We got Four Season and GABA Oolong. Both fragrant, sweet and with a long lasting aroma in your mouth. Amazing tea!

Luke Jay: Floating Leaves Tea treats every sale like it's the babe in their arms! Great communication and top shelf tea. I got a wonderful 1966 aged Oolong and they had thrown in a nice sample of another with a lovely handwritten letter. Floating Leaves Tea and the World is a better place! 🌱💥🙏🏽

Patrick Tabor: . They will have teapots from Taiwan here soon. Everything is high quality!

Yuji Chan: I loved chatting with and learning from the kind tea shop owner. This is the real Chinese tea if you want to try some authentic stuff.

C.J. Collier: I love this place and their amazing teas. The staff are phenomenal, and I feel like family every time they welcome me into their shop.

Zagadka: Absolutely lovely little place. Excellent resource for loose leaf Taiwanese tea and a nice selection of dishware. Friendly and knowledgeable proprietor. It's always a pleasure to go and talk or get a recommendation. Also, I just discovered the YouTube videos and am looking forward to going through them.

David Neely: Our favorite spice shop. So many choices, so little time. Two walls of spice jars.We focused on all the Currys. cost $1/ounce. Friendly staff

Bee Keyser: They have all the tea and spices I need. Well priced loose leaf that I buy in bulk! You can bring your own containers for them to fill too, which is so convenient. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Market spice is my favorite place to get tea and spices, it should be yours too!

Ryan Wakefield: They make the best tea. Would have loved to be able to order a drink in store to take with us.

Marou Tepper: Market Spice reminded me of Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. I enjoyed browsing on the aisle full of different spices and tea. I purchased their signature cinnamon-orange tea which is amazing. Also bought a few spices which added good flavors on meat and chicken.

Sylvain DEMASSEZ: Good scents flood the store. It's hard not to find what you're looking for / Good scents flood the store. It's hard not to find what you're looking for.

Robert E: Cool place with both spices and teas. The illustrations they have on the bulk spice jars are neat. A bit on the pricy side.

Evan Dierolf-Evans: I was recently visiting from out of town, and this store was one of the places recommended to me. I was blown away by the spice selection and the help I recieved. I asked the guy working there if he had any favourites he'd recommend, and I wound up leaving with a couple different unique teas and spices. To the reviewers here who are serving up one star reviews based on political beliefs instead of your impression of their teas, wake up.

Moore Coffee Shop: what do users think?

Khushi Sharma: Art that never disappoints! ♥️All time favorite. Their toffee-nut flavor is sooo good.Vegetarian options: Avocado toast

Chris Sabatini: Cute and intimate little space with great coffee, tasty waffles, and Mexican atmosphere.Be warned though that limited seating and proximity to other popular breakfast destinations and the market can mean it goes from zero to slammed very quickly in the spring and summer.

A. S.: Recommended dishes Black Sugar Milk Tea

Kevin McNabb: Came in for the yogurt bobba tea, but the popcorn chicken smelled so good we had to get it. Absolutely delicious, 7/5 stars.Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Popcorn Chicken …

Zoe: TLDR: boba is decent, but if you go here get the popcorn chicken- you won’t regret it!Popcorn chicken: 10/10 - if you order anything, get this! The chicken is very moist and flavorful. The seasonings on top give it a good salty taste and the outside is nicely crispy. It’s served hot and it’s really comforting!Four Season: 6/10 - is more on the bitter side at full sweetness as I was told it is made with green tea. Green tea flavor is not that strongHokkaido: 7/10 - thought it was pretty good, very creamy so if you don’t likely really creamy drinks then don’t get this. Has a bit of a brown sugar/caramelized aftertaste

Phoenix Tea Shop: what do users think?

Samuel Gorman: Amazing tea shop specializing in awesomeGong fu style Chinese tea and tea ware. I take every chance to stop in and see what’s new. I’ve learned so much from the Friday tea tastings, and hope to check out their other cool events to. Super friendly owners and all-around great place!

Michael Ireton: Best tea shop in Burien!

Stranded in Seattle: Wonderful selection, kind and personable people! The gentleman who assisted us was quite knowledgeable about their tea and was quite helpful. We left with so many types of teas to try and paid very reasonable prices. Red Army and Phoenix Chai were instant hits and I will definitely be back to buy more! ♥

Jared Simons: .

Chris Moore: Independent tea store with knowledgeable owners! Super friendly. Highly recommend.

Mr. B: Great variety of teas and the owner was super helpful with questions.

Steve Moloney: Excellent service and products. I know very little about Tea. Phoenix Tea Shop taught me a lot about tea and set me up with a nice kit a well. I could have spent less or a lot more for the best stuff. I bought the $25 cake of tea not the $75.I just made a pot of Jasmine Tea from the old stuff we got at the grocery store and then I brewed a pot of aged 2016 Cloudy Days Jasmine Tea at 170 Degrees for 4.5 minutes. The difference is HUGE; Like comparing bakers’ chocolate to milk chocolate.

Rj Rueber: Chris, the owner? Knows his teas. I wanted to taste the purple tea, and we sat down and did like, a formal tea tasting. It was super cool. He's got a great selection. The passion and knowledge about tea was clearly evident in their operations, and they showed great respect to the cultures and origins of the teas as well.

John Paul Hansen: This is the place that taught be that there's a story behind every blend of tea, and the owner knows them all.
