The space was small but there were only 2 other brides there during my appointment. We didn't have any issues sharing the space. The staff was helpful with sizing advice and schlepping dresses back to my dressing room, thank goodness because those can get so heavy!The dress selection was great! I felt that the selection was big enough to have options in different styles, but small enough to not be overwhelming. For someone who has a difficult time making decisions, it was great to go to my size section and be able to say "okay, these are my choices!" Instead of having dresses made to my size.I tried on about 6 or 7 dresses total and I think dress #4 was "the one". Retailing over $2,000, Brides for a Cause had it for $700. On top of that, it was 50% off! What a steal! I am so happy I chose Brides for a Cause as my wedding dress destination!

Jennifer Ward: Great experience! I came in towards the end of the day. A wide variety of really beautiful gowns and accessories at great price in a lovely space. They were super helpful with tips on how to shop. I had some specific things I was looking for in a bridal gown, and although I had a few maybes, wasn't finding exactly what I wanted in the time spot. There's wasn't anyone booked right after me, and they were gracious giving me more time and helping me look for what I described. The extra time helped, and I left with a beautiful gown! I will need a couple alterations on the gown I chose, which they gave recommendations on seamstresses for. Several of my maybes were a very good fit, though. So if you needed a dress off the rack, this would also be a good option!

Jazzy Insights: I HAD to add this boutique to my list of wedding boutiques to visit wile hunting for "the one". Staff is excellent, they will help you out if needed, otherwise your bride tribe can help you get in and out of your gown. So many gowns to look through, it was quite beautiful. I couldn't help but wonder about the stories these brides had in their wedding dresses, or sad stories, if the wedding didn't even take place. I'm sure there has to be a book about what brought the bride to bring their dresses here! Such a cool opportunity to be able to donate to another women's dream. Although I didn't find my dress here, it was a cool first experience to try on dresses here, before I went to other boutiques. Thank you for the work you do!

However, the staff were extremely kind and cater appointments to the preferences of the bride. The space is gorgeous and I felt so comfortable throughout my appointment! Amy Laramore: I had a wonderful experience today at the Seattle location of Brides for a Cause. The customer service experience was excellent, and it was a wonderful place for someone like me who prefers to shop alone and keep things low key. They were friendly and informative when I arrived. The dresses are arranged in racks by street size which was helpful for me since bridal sizing is variable and usually runs a couple sizes smaller. You’re able to try on up to five dresses at a time with a max dress try on of 15 per each one-hour appointment. I ended up getting a gorgeous sample dress that was about 25% of what I would have paid for it retail. And how amazing that they’re a nonprofit that supports women-focused charitable organizations. Highly recommend!

Brooke & Jeff: Blue Sky bridal in Seattle is the perfect place to find your wedding dress. I had such an amazing experience here with my bridal stylist Mikaela. She really knew a lot about wedding gowns and was extremely helpful! I found my dress here and for a really great price. Best thing about it was I got to bring it home right away. No sitting and waiting for months to get the dress. Their selection is better than most bridal salons. Courtney Coffman: Blue Sky Bridal is a charming bridal shop! I "booked the boutique" for my appt which was private and fun. Skylar was a wonderful consultant who really listened to my likes/dislikes and pulled a dress I loved. Being a once-wed gown that had previously been altered, I had some fit concerns/alterations I would have wanted done and Skylar provided honest, useful feedback on what may/may not be possible. The shop allows you to put a deposit down to a hold dress if you need time to consider. I ended up finding my dress at another shop but my experience at Blue Sky Bridal was wonderful, and the dress I loved there helped steer me in the direction of the dress I ended up choosing. I highly recommend Blue Sky Bridal!

My initial appointment was with Ashley and she was super helpful and very thoughtful about selecting dresses that looked great on my figure and had the features I was looking for. I also had a follow up appointment later the same day with Mikaela who was also great! I was very impressed with their dress selection. I needed a dress quickly to replace my original wedding dress because I had a baby recently, so the fact that all their stock is available to purchase the same day was a huge bonus for me. I’m a street size 8 and they had an extensive array of high quality dresses in my size—they also seemed to have a wide range of sizes. The store felt really welcoming, the pricing was awesome, and I found a dress I absolutely adore!

The dresses are well taken care of, and for the quick adjustments, they’re very careful with the clips, adding pieces of felt for comfort and to protect the dress. The fact that my pre-appointment conversation with my stylist, Makayla, was already 10/10 — I had a feeling this would my final stop in wedding dress shopping.Before the appointment, Makayla first called me to ask for my vision, designers I particularly liked, and styles of dresses I wanted to try on. She really listened to what I wrote in my survey as well as what I spoke about verbally. She actually reviewed my Pinterest board and that already blew me away. We bonded instantly!Then the day of - my friend and I arrived at the store and were greeted as if we already knew everyone! Everyone was super welcoming and treated us like friends. Then we got into my appointment and Makayla took me through several dress choices.The entire process, she was so attentive, supportive, and really provided lots of great insight as a bridal stylist and helped me navigate lots of emotions and concerns about my wedding dress. She even encouraged me to walk up and down the store in several dresses and put on music to set the mood.By the end, we were all tearing up and I said YES TO MY DRESS!!She was so thoughtful and offered sparkling apple juice since my friend who came with me was pregnant so we could all cheers!Sorry I wrote a novel, but please consider an appointment here at LEAST! She was really attentive to what I was hoping for. I didn't end up finding my dress there, but I wish I had because she was the most supportive stylist I had throughout the whole of my wedding dress shopping experience!

Samila was my third bridal salon, and I showed Shae photos of three dresses I had tried on that weren’t quite right but all had different elements I loved. We found a dress that, with a few customizations, combined literally everything I loved into one dream dress! I cried happy tears as I wore it and could cry again just thinking about my dream-come-true dress and my wonderful experience. I felt so cared for by Shae and even the other gals in the shop during what was such a momentous and also emotion-filled experience of finding my wedding dress. I’m so thankful!

This place asks you to wash your hands as you arrive, which I loved because the dresses were so clean and in great shape. We had come from another dress shop where all the dresses looked so dingy and in desperate need of cleaning. Overall great experience and a beautiful intimate space.

I also worried that the sample sizes wouldn’t fit me given that I’m mid to plus size, but they did fit. For my first visit, the stylist let me and my group pick out dresses we liked and then she made recommendations as she learned more about what I liked. She actually pulled the dress that I ended up wearing. The stylists were so helpful and friendly. I also had my alterations done at La Belle Elaine and the seamstress did an amazing job! My dress fit perfectly on my wedding day and she videotaped how the bustle worked so that my bridesmaids could do it on the day. I’d highly recommend getting your dress here!

Estela C: Another wedding, another AMAZING mother of the bride dress!Kiko made me a stunning mother of the bride dress last year for the wedding of one of my twin daughters. My second daughter got married this year resulting in a second beautiful creation by Kiko.It is always a true pleasure to work with Kiko. He is a very talented “couturier,” he knows what he is doing, listens to you and comes up with ideas that result in a very unique and gorgeous creation. As he did last year, Kiko gave me advice on make-up, jewelry and even shoes! He is also very flexible for appointments and scheduling, not to mention that he always delivers on time!We went through the same process we did last year: I came up with ideas and Kiko sketched my dress. This time I was looking for a dress in a light weight and delicate fabric that would allow me to move and dance comfortably. We picked a beautiful, printed silk chiffon in a very light and soft blue and green color. He made a multi-layer asymmetrical bias cut skirt that he layered over a short silk charmeuse skirt. The layers had a French hem finishing and as I walked or danced the skirt floated softly in the air creating a very graceful movement, exactly what I had envisioned. Only Kiko could come up with such a gorgeous creation!I highly recommend Kiko for fine, unique and beautiful formal wear in Seattle. Thanks again Kiko for making another stunning mother of the bride dress!

When I asked last minute to do a bussel on my a-symmetrical train, he added it without any issue, even though it was a last minute request. He helped with earring ideas, hair/makeup etc so my look could really come together.Overall, I would encourage anyone who wants an absolutely beautiful and unique dress in the same budget you were thinking of for a bridal store gown to go to Kiko and get something miles above your expectations. Blue Sky sent me to Cicada, and over the course of 6 months Morgan worked with me over email and then in person to create my dream dress. Not only did she add the overtrain and handle the alterations to make my dress fit perfectly, she is professional, fun, and refreshingly real in the bridal industry. Cicada's staff are clearly experts at what they do--their custom made bridal gowns in the shop are beautiful--and yet they are reasonably priced. Another shop quoted me a rate so high I wouldn't ever have been able to do the customization I had my heart set on, but Cicada made it possible. Since it’s a mermaid fitted style dress I can really attach it to my bra or underwear without it being seen. And without a doubt the workers here already had a plan on how to hide the pumper without it being visible. They created a secret pocket on some spandex underneath my dress and they made sure it was easily accessible and also comfortable.I would recommend this spot for anyone who needs any alteration work. GLL's remedy was to send me newly cut sleeves but I would need to find someone local to remove the current ones, and attach the new ones that were the correct length.
