Claire: The salad pita was wonderful, it was a perfect serving - and the pita seemed house-made and spectacularly fresh. The chai was served in a cute black cup and saucer. We also had the blondie brownie, which was an amazing treat. The only negative was that the bathroom in this building is somewhat far, but it was clean, big, and had a pin code.

Chad Remmers: Great little bar on a rainy day. Pliny on tap doesn't hurt!

Patrick Hudson: Bar next to laundromat is why I went, Chris the bartender is the reason I'm coming back.

Katiedid: Pretty cool place, but the pizza was pretty small for the price. And you have to go to the bar to order. The atmosphere was nice. There were some super well-behaved dogs there. There's not much for a diabetics there. But all in all it was a friendly place for younger people

Ken Garbutt: Great stout beer & pizza.

Clayton Wernecke: Hey Carlos us guys from Wisconsin had a great time laughing and drinking with you. Service A+Food A+Atmosphere A+Keep up the good work Michael.

Online Reviews: Cool place.

Katie Duffy: We found out about this place because we went on a ghost tour in Seattle around Halloween. This place has a lot of history and has been around for a long time, the oldest standing restaurant in Seattle. It was once a Liquor store/ cafe and hotel/ "apartments" as a saloon or I would consider a brothel and a card room. The men would choose which women he wanted by the photographs on the wall. There have been so many different owners due to the "ghostly happenings" so much that it was featured on two different shows. The Dead Files Episode Burned Alive" and I'm not sure on the other name, but I did see it. From what I remember the tour was better than the food. The service was decent, not too busy when we got there as we found a table right away. The food was not the best from what i remember. I know it's changed through the owners, but there were more options to choose from before. I've been here a couple times so it can't be that bad, it's a little different each time.

Magnuson Cafe & Brewery: what do users think?

Lisa Lim: with side aioli and ketchup. The complaint/feedback for the vegetarian burger is that "everything is soft" and could use a "crunchy" texture. Maybe toast the buns or add crunchy onions because otherwise it's just a soft veg burger, cheese

Kim Leary: Food was yummy and the Viking Stout delicious. I had the portobello mushroom burger. It was messy but good. Food was a little pricy for the fact that there was no side with the burger. We made the wrong assumption that there would be a side but were able to order garlic fries, which were plentiful and delicious.Seating outside was beautiful and they had it meshed in with heaters so it was very comfortable even on a crisp evening.Vegetarian options: I had the portobello mushroom burger. Definitely not vegan but a good veg option. There were a couple of things on the menu for vegetarians. Not labeled but easy find something. I didn't try it but they do have a vegetarian burger option as well.

Dylan Fleming: I recently had the pleasure of visiting your establishment, and I wanted to take a moment to share my feedback about the experience. First and foremost, I must commend the ambiance of your café and brewery. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming decor created the perfect setting for a relaxing meal or drink with friends. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which provided a picturesque view and added to the overall charm of the place. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the selection of craft beers. The variety of brews available was impressive, and each one boasted unique flavors and characteristics. It's clear that a lot of passion and expertise goes into the brewing process, resulting in high-quality and enjoyable beers.

Jay Sungvorn: It was a nice place to eat with the water view. There are plenty of seats outside and inside. I ordered a classic burger and share 3 tacos with a friend. The classic burger came with Pickles, lettuces, and Tomato. The sauce was water down thousand's Island. The patty cook medium, it was perfect. The buns hold up and did not fall apart. It was on small scale compare to other places. Taco was ok. I would not order again. But other people like the tacos. Not sure what to say about the service since you ordered at the counter, but they seems friendly.

Ourrias: Excellent food every time I’ve been there! Portions are generous and the service has always been good. Staff and employees are very friendly and welcoming. And the views are nonpareil! Super glad this is my local pub - I’ll be a loyal patron as long as they’re in business.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids and dogs. Very family-friendly.

Emma Mrofchak: Such a great experience! I have never had such incredible service before. Their entire team seemed to work so well together and were always on top of refills, food and drink recommendations, clearing plates from the table, and timing for when they came by. We made a reservation for 6 for our friend’s birthday and they were so thoughtful, organized and accommodating. I loved the atmosphere, food, and drinks, but seriously the service was what put it over the top. Thanks for a great night!

Tessa: We were very excited to try this spot, the server was sweet and quick, but the food was awful and TWO chairs broken, one for my party and one for another party. I wouldn't recommend the salmon, there were bones in it, the mushroom pasta was extremely undercooked and the sauce did not taste pleasant at all, they didn't properly cook the burgers, the risotto was bland.

McKinley Pendergast: Larry provided fantastic service and made a mean drink in a wonderful and cozy setting, perfect place to warm up on a dreary January Seattle evening. The food was fantastic and had lots of options for a vegetarian, the drink Larry made was delicious and crafted beautifully, highly recommend stopping by!Food: 5/5 …

Monika Singh: Celebrated my bday and it was an exquisite experience. The ambiance was both inviting and sophisticated, creating the perfect setting for a memorable celebration. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of options available on the menu. From flavorful salads to creative vegetable-based entrees, Purple catered to my dietary preferences without compromising on taste or quality. The wine selection was extensive, offering a variety of choices to complement the meal. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience was impeccable.Overall, my visit to Purple Cafe and Wine Bar surpassed my expectations, leaving me eager to return and indulge in their delectable offerings again.

Steven Zopfi: We’ve eaten at Purple a couple of times now and we’ve been impressed with the service and the consistent quality of the food. The decor is urban chic with an impressive wine tower that dominates the great room. I started with a Purple salad which was delicious. I moved on to one of the dinner specials, which the night I was there was a mushroom gnocchi in a cream sauce. It was rich but delicious. The proximity to theaters and the quality of the food and service make this attractive restaurant an easy choice for us when we visit Seattle to watch a show or a concert.

Shawma: Really cool tavern-like atmosphere, delicious mussels and fries, and their expansive Belgian beer collection goes without saying.A great casual night out option with friendly staff.

Justin Lui: Solid bar food. Fries looked fantastic from afar. Beers are good and options are solid — even if I am not a drinker. We were here, as the Brits and HongKongers would say, for afternoon “tea” so we didn’t eat lunch or dinner but ordered the meatballs and pretzel.3 meatballs covered in melted cheese. Hearty and filling. The pretzel is good and comes with 2 dipping sauces: honey mustard and something else. Also pretty solid. For this one visit, I’ll give them a 5 star.

Matt R.: The fries are to die for.

John Swartos: One of the best Belgian beer bars in the US. Amazing number of beer on tap & in bottles along with wine and spirits. They’ve also got a top notch food program!Kid-friendliness: 21+ only. This is a bar, even though it has amazing food.

Tammy “Neilsnumber1” V: Visited from Canada.Wow, great place, the beer selection is outstandingThe staff were super knowledgeable about most of the beers.Food was great and the stoofvlees is most definitely hands down one of the best things I have ever had.Wish I could get their recipe.

madhavi paropkari: This was on my list for a long time. Place is super interesting with a old building and laid back vibe. On weekend dinner time place was full so took long to get seated. Keep in mind tables are super close to one another. Servers are very friendly. We ordered beet- feta salad and lasagna. Both were exquisite in taste. I will definitely go back and try other dishes they offer.

Aly SM: . My boyfriend & I were already too hungry to go somewhere else so we got the burger & the steak. The flavor of the food was definitely there, but for the price, you would've expected better & larger servings as well. The staff were super nice & attentive though but I'm not sure it's worth coming back.I may try the breakfast one day but it's definitely a pretty high price point for what it is.

Patrick Au-Yeung: The avocado toast was a revelation. Creamy avocado spread on perfectly toasted bread, topped with a sprinkle of Tajin for that delightful sweet and salty twist. It was a flavor explosion in every bite! The baked eggs were cooked to perfection, with a runny yolk that oozed out as I cut into them. Paired with grilled bread, it was a comforting and satisfying combination. Mango Iced Tea was refreshingly fruity, and the hint of mango added a tropical flair.Someone at Atelier next door recommended this place and he didn’t miss. I loved the vibe and decor of the interior. Very comfortable and casual, and being in the heart of Capitol Hill it’s very hip.

Jean-Luc Christie: Came here for a quick breakfast while visiting the city and had a great time. Great coffee, great food

Kimberly Ying: . I’ve had it several times, but even with the inconsistencies, it’s still super tasty. The caprese panini, which is seasonal, hit the spot. And if you don’t want chips, you can get a nice side salad instead. They didn’t even up charge me. The grilled cheese was also good. And I’ve had their hazelnut latte a handful of times too and haven’t been disappointed. Friendly staff too.

Matt Revilla: I simp for the OG Grilled cheese.

Binit Banerjee: A cafe and bar inside a climbing gym. The smell of pizza while u workout in the fitness area is far from ideal. But a cool place to socialize and chill after a good climbing session. I only tried their breakfast so far so would update my reviews as I try more items. My wife got the avocado toast with boiled eggs which seemed perfect after our yoga class. I tried the Americano with a bagel and it was nice . Service was great and the staff is super friendly. They have a decent seating space as well.

James Grobe: Best sandwich ever! Employees are amazing. 5 stars all day!!!

Isaiah Morehead: Full disclosure: it's inside Seattle Bouldering Project...it took me too many times to find this place..

S: Great food, portions, dealt with my allergies like champs.

Kellyanne Kennedy: Had a great time in their "lounge" on a Friday evening with a group from SSP. Been here for breakfast, but never in the evening. Outdoor heaters, lots of seating, tasty on-tap stout beer - love me some dark beer! Others ordered food and raved. Unfortunately, it was Friday and Lent, so, nothing for me...BUT will definitely be back to try the spiced ramen bowl, nachos and/or bulgogi burrito. Smelled amazing and were devoured. Looks like a perfect pre-Kraken game gathering spot....even better if "the Boys" win?!? 100% recommend happy hour/dinner after this experience.

Ashlee Hathaway: We enjoyed a great breakfast here. We got here around 9:45 on a Saturday right before the rush. Service was great, kept our coffee full and got our food out quickly. We started with the big cinnamon roll quick pretty good. The picture doesn't show it, but there was lots of icing. Huge for two people so we took the rest home for dinner. I had a delicious scramble with goat cheese and smoked salmon. Delicious. My husband has the breakfast burrito which was also good and huge. Definitely a big portion of potatoes. I also got a biscuit which was so good. We took a lot of leftovers for sure, so order wisely as they don't skimp on portions. They looked to have options for gluten free bread. All in all great breakfast and we'd definitely come back. Plenty of street parking around.

Pfeifer Hill: Blue Star Cafe & Pub is one of my old-reliable American breakfast spots in Seattle.I’m picky about breakfast food. If I had to pick a final meal it would be a good ol’ American breakfast. I’ve been to Blue Star many times and I’ve never been disappointed. The scrambles and omelets are great and are a nice big portion. You can’t go wrong when picking an egg dish, they’re all going to be good eggs. The Very Berry pancakes were a fantastic choice—they weren’t greasy, too thick, or too sweet. I think their french toast is also good, but I haven’t tried it.My expert recommendation is to switch out the toast for a biscuit or scone, you won’t regret it. Also the breakfast potatoes are can’t miss, some of the best in Seattle. As for the Bloody Mary’s—eh. Hate to say it, but I was expecting more. Don’t get me wrong, I order one every time, but it’s only because Seattle is lacking on the Bloody Mary scene and they’re my favorite drink. I find Blue Star’s lack depth and are a little too thin. I’ve tried the specialty ones and they’re better than the original.Nevertheless, if you’re hungover, need a place to meet your boyfriend’s dad, or are craving something that’ll make you proud to live in the US of A, Blue Star is a five star place to dine!

Hayden Smith: Yum! A gem in Seattle— spacious and BOOTHS! And gluten free options!

Anna M. Parras: I recommend you make a reservation. The place was packed with several people waiting, though there is plenty of sitting space. Service was amazing; fast, friendly, and attentive. Our food came out fast and was well cooked and served, with large portions and fresh. I ordered the French toast plate, and the French toast bread was a little crunchy, a little sour and citric, in a very good way.Their drinks are definitely something you don't want to skip. With a full service bar, you have the option of ordering the classics, but their signature cocktails and bloody mary are gold. You don't want to miss their breakfast shots. I had the cinnamon roll shot, and it was creamy, sweet, and delicious and big enough to sip.

Shannon McCafferty: Always enjoy the breakfast dishes here, especially the Turkish eggs.

Amy D: . There’s plenty of parking since it’s part of University Village. Food and drinks are yum!

Maria: ! Ask to taste a sip of the wines to find a good pairing. Two lunches and two wines about $80. It can get very loud when it's packed, but it's fine if you can drown out the noise or if you're with a group that doesn't mind crowds.Seriously, it is a beautiful space and tasty healthy food. If you can, get a seat sit and stay a while. You'll love the green space and decor too!

Todd: Great cut!

Jay Sungvorn: Saturday brunch with group of friends, I ordered brioche breakfast sandwich. The brioche was soft and moist, egg tasted plain, did not tasted salsa verde, arugula does make healthy. I added little green hot sauce for more kick. Without it, the sandwich tasted plain. My friend added bacon which it would be good idea. We shared mister potato chips, it is too salty for me but tzatziki sauce balance it out. Everything looks good. You ordered at the counter and go find a seat. You can also order at the table using QR code. They will bring food to your table. You can grab water bottle and empty glasses. They have water set up with condiment and also to go boxes. They have people come to pick up dishes.

Kalyna: Cutest little shop with outdoor seating on a street that isn't too noisy at all. I had a sweet crepe that was so good! Their double shot of espresso is only about 1/2 oz so make sure to order extra so your drink is flavorful! I felt bad having to ask for extra shots but staff weren't too too annoyed to help. I appreciate them!

Tom F: Latte was perfect and savory crepe delicious! Very chill neighborhood vibe.

Joel Poquette: Great coffee and atmosphere! The perfect place to sit outside. They even brought out some water for my dog.

Adam Kennedy: Intimate setting, like sitting in front of a warm fire with a friend. Cappuccino was Seattle solid. Staff was great.

Joel Pearsall: Superb food, fun staff and funky setting! Fabulous!!!

Richard Larson: Great place for a light brunch, or a morning coffee. Limited seating, but it is enough off the beaten path that you can usually find a place a quiet space in the corner.

Spencer Bernhardt: NO WIFI BUT cool atmosphere

David Lyman: Best neighborhood coffee shop with a truly local vibe. Lovely patio, delicious crepes. Baristas are awesome and remember you. Feels like home away from home.

Taylor Gardner: Funky local dive for those looking for a homey, Seattle coffee vibe.Building and shop look well-loved, the music and decor was charming, and the drink menu was as standard as they come. Overall, a good experience. My only thing was the actual drink wasn’t awesome. Other shops in the area have delivered on better beverages. Just my two cents…
