Camp Long: what do users think?

Yogi Donovan: A sensational hiking experience. Breathtaking view of the mountains, and options for challenges if you’re up to it.Please contact city officials prior to using area. Contact information is posted throughout. Also be aware that camp runs adjacent to west Seattle homeowners. Prepare for random marsh like conditions following rain but Eitherwise an “urban jungle” treasureRestrooms: Restrooms within the campsitePicnic area: Large space to break for a snack

Warren-David Thorp: Great place to have a gathering for special occasions

Jack Dennis: Amazing camp and fun environment

Green Ranger88: . This is my dog's favorite place to go.

Andrew Miller: Awesome park with cool climbing rock, cabins, fire pits and even a tadpole pondPicnic area: Covered Picnic tables and fire pits with bbqs

Aadland Stephanie: Great park .. hidden gem in the big city ..they even have a working pay phone

Omniversal Abundance Vortex: Nancy is so sweet and helpful! This park is amazing.

Alex Siwiec: , and has very few amenities. The coolest parts of camp long are all things that cost the city nothing —the ancient forests, the pond, and the old WPA-era climbing rock. The field though is rarely mowed and not really suitable to play, due to the large holes and ruts that go unfilled. The water fountains and bathrooms in the park are all typically out of service, and have been for years. Perhaps this is to make the park less hospitable to unwanted campers?I guess what irks me is not the lack of maintenance, it’s the barbed wire fence. If we can’t afford to put in or maintain fancy amenities, that’s fine… but the public should at least be allowed access to the trees.

Spaniard (Spaniard): Awesome park to have fun and get the kids to play and exercise!

Dhira Brown: So many fun features at this park and the trails are pristine with native forest. Highly recommend a visit.

K M-V: Great spot to take your dog for a quick loop walk. It’s also apparently a location for school kids to explore nature in a camp type setting. But they don’t mind you walking your dog on leash on the trails. I did spot a homeless camp which should be addressed if kids are exploring these woods.

Vincent Rowland: I really don't visit this park often enough. As far as places that let you forget you are in the city this park has got to be in the top 10. It has the vibe of a state park.

Fay Bainbridge Park: what do users think?

tackoracko Blasters: Beautiful with a lot or space to explore.

David The Traveler: Beautiful little Park ❤️ and nice flushing toilets instead of the hole in the ground like when your at a trail head.

Corrie Anderle: Amazing place to walk around and enjoy the view of the Puget Sound. Highly recommend!

Wildcraft Rose: Views of the Cascade Mountains, Puget Sound, and on a clear day Mt. Rainier and possibly Mt. Baker. This park offers both tent and RV camping. There is also a day-use parking lot. A little boardwalk and plenty of sandy beach. Keep an eye out for eagles and seals. You don't have to climb over all the driftwood and big logs because there's a path. Plenty of picnic tables and a number of benches. Reasonably clean restrooms. Not too crowded and a fun place to explore or have a picnic. It's really a pretty decent park plus - there's a big Pirate Ship structure in the kids playground.

Ji Hun Hong: Amazing viewThis is the perfect photo spots, also you can see the seattle...

Aymen Al-ani: Highly recommend this place! It was spectacular ☺️

Nice short hikes out west, and long flat trails to the east, playground to entertain kids just a short walk away. A wonderful weekend get away for glamping.

Esmeralda R. Ruano: It was a beautiful place, but be aware of the mosquitoes they will eat you alive

Dash Point State Park: what do users think?

Michael Taylor: We lived in Washington state for 20 years and camping here for 4days . We had 2 young men camping with us and friends that came and visited with us and a camp fire. On Sunday we went to the local kingdom hall of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES for the public talk and watchtower study. We also went wild waves theme park. It was a great time camping, fun, laughter.

Javier Antonio Ugarte Reyes: Very nice and hygienic to visit with family

Nishant N: I like the combination of nice green trails and the beach on the other end. Neither was particularly out of this world and the beach was a bit dirty. Plenty of spots to camp or picnic. Good place to check out and more often if you're close to the park.

Whitley & Brian Radeck: , but there is usually always a spot to park when we go. Not a lot of area for setting up on the grass, especially when it's busy, but I saw a lot of people setting up on the sand! Water was surprisingly pretty warm when we went, but it was also a very hot day!Came for a hike and it was lovely. Trails are well marked and clean. Very kid friendly. Encountered a few people along the trails.

Ronda Carrera: Always LOVE this park, reminds me of my youth! Sadly the tide was in so not much beach combing to be done today.😌

Ingrid Beatriz Haché: Always a stress reliever to visit this place.

aaron masseth: Trails were awesome, map a little confusing. But a great place to hike over all. The tide was out at the beach, weather was good. It's a beautiful spot.Restrooms: There are restrooms.Picnic area: Lots of area to picnic

Christopher Seim: Great boating, camp get getaway.

Terri Savage: Such a nice trip to take to the island. Definitely worth exploring.

Carl Patty: This was our first time to Blake Island. We anchored off the NW beach. Went ashore for the circle-island trail. Used the dinghy dock at low and high tide. Easy in and out. Restrooms were clean and conveniently placed along the trails near the campsites. Was a beautiful hike. Well maintained, wide trail. Was a little more hilly than I expected. Great calf workout.

Melissa Anderson: Every part of the island is beautiful. Views are stunning, water is cold, and tides are strong. Great for picnics or a day away to explore.Restrooms: Restrooms on both sides of the island.Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on leash.

Mike Clifford: Very nice Marina! Watch out for the raccoons!Picnic area: Nice picnic area - bring your own fire wood.

Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort: what do users think?

Kimberly P: Tall Chief has decent sized spots. The pool is great when it's available for use. Has plenty of showers between the two restrooms. Dump station always works and available for use.Location: 5/5 …

Julie Yarno: Great place. Didnt get to use the pool cause we went late in the season, but we had a great time. A little pricey!Walkability: Great trails and gravel roads

LAND ROVER: Thousand Trails campgrounds are nice but tall Chief is even nicer stayed there for 2 days going in and out of Seattle great place Snoqualmie Falls is about 10 minutes up the road which is the biggest Falls in Washington absolutely stunning go upstairs and eat at the restaurant we really loved our stay James was quite a nice and helpful employee really really took care of us thank you again James as you are a great human we really do love the campground but I want to say the men's bathroom needs a water heater installed ASAP lots of upgrades to the floors roofs countertops mirrors but without a hot shower it makes me lose a star don't tell anyone but I went into the woman's shower with my wife and got a hot shower the last night Ssshh don't tell anyoneNearby activities: Seattle Washington is only 35 minutes away tons of activities to do in a short driveSafety: Really safe RV park as all 1000 trail RV parks are highly recommended tall chief

Rudy Castro: The service was excellent. Very secured facility . Willcome again.Nearby activities: Nice nature walks. And trails were within range.Safety: The crew there, was very attentive and on top of things.Walkability: The trails were very well kept.

Erin G: Only stayed here one night but it was great! We came in a little late on a Friday. The man at the check in desk, Aaron, was very helpful and friendly. Definitely the type of person you'd want in a position like that. The sites themselves were very nice! Wooded to give a bit of privacy and provide some sound insulation. The only noise we heard at night was owls hooting. We used the dump station on the way out and they even had a little trash can for gloves which is such a thoughtful touch.Safety: Everyone coming in has a unique gate code which makes the place feel very safe.

Destiny Mangini: Rv water and electric hook ups! Looks of spots! Great place!

Danielle A du Nann: . Even though the pool was closed, our kids still loved the playground, mini golf, rec room with pool table, and being outdoors riding their bikes and scooters. The location is 10 mins from a gas station that has all your last minute needs

Dan Rogers: Love this place!Restrooms: Clean and stockedDog-friendliness: Pet friendly!Picnic area: Nice covered area!

Nicholas Mathews: Seems like a fun place to work

Scott Caldwell: Close to home, stock water available. Good corrals. Lots of trails.

Linda Dieckhoff: Beautiful!

C “Mickey” Centeno: This camp is well maintained by DNR and Backcountry Horsemen . There is a covered common area with 3 picnic tables and a small firepit. Large parking area with cinderblock pit toilets. Non potable water available for livestock in 2 locations. Several corrals- clean up into the manure bin. Several nice campsites, some suitable for tents, others for pull through living quarters, one large group suite. Access to several trails from the horse camp. Open on weekends from Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend. Contact Olympic Chapter BCHW for host program.

Thomas Warrington: Open during summer, Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM. If you're looking to get away while staying close to home, this is the place. Its extremely underused, currently I am the only camper not including the volunteer camp host. Please consider camping here or it may be shut down due to a lack of public interest.

90s vanessa medina: This will be my first time going out there to Camp is it free or do you have to have a permit or do you have to pay?

Michael Crawford: Yeah Green Mountains a nice place you can experience with your family and you can go riding your dirt bike there with your friends, or those beastly things called horses haha, I love horses they're just big and scary for children there's a lot of families walking on the trails which is really nice and safe I'm a bike rider so we all just have to watch out for each other be safe and have a great time

Martin D: Great place for a hike. Well maintained trails.

Joshua Thorpe: Loved it. Great hike

Doc King: Out in the middle of no where.

Laura Niemann: Beautiful campsites.

Joe Smalley: Serene. Water says not drinkable.

Tana Smallwood: Great trails, views, and a nice camp there too with a bathroom and shelter. Lots of parking up at camp.

Cheasty Greenspace at Mt. View: what do users think?

s k: Cheasty Greenspace at Mt. View offers a serene retreat within Seattle's urban landscape. With lush greenery, winding trails, and diverse flora, it's a haven for nature enthusiasts and hikers alike. The restoration efforts have enhanced its ecological significance, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching and peaceful walks. Though some areas may be steep, the views at the top are rewarding. However, limited amenities like restrooms may deter some visitors. Overall, Cheasty Greenspace provides a rejuvenating escape for outdoor lovers seeking tranquility within the city.

TEODOR TOFOLEANU: Just enjoying every day, being close to my house 🏠It's a romantic place for everyone.

m4c9yv3r: Nice tiny park in the city, very short trail but nice and secluded. With a couple of places to sit and enjoy nature.

Jennifer Kwok: Little green paradise by the road

Zachary Ross: Small little park, nice view and quiet place

Luan Roberts: I love this little slice of greenery. Although not a large space there are lots of paths to explore and new things to see. There are also some great trees to climb! I have never seen any evidence of illegal dumping or camping here, which is a rarity in Seattle parks.

Christine Taylor: Nice place to escape town for a bit

Ryan McLean: It's a good place to go for a walk.

Rene Ramirez: Beautiful!!

West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails: what do users think?

Sabine Meyer: Great urban forest hiking experience close to West Seattle. Kudos to the volunteers who are maintaining the trails. The downloadable trail map is super helpful. Trails are not beginner friendly are clearly marked. If you enjoy a more rugged hike than the broad trails in Lincoln Park and Seward Park offer, Duwamish Greenbelt is for you!Dog-friendliness: Lots of scents to follow

Hunter Funk: this was my favorite spot to visit in Seattle! i didn’t care that the trails were muddy when i went, the forest is dense and you really feel immersed; i think the rickety bits of DIY trail make it even better.

Brandon Faloona: are mixed in with tiny dead-end trails, DIY trail improvements, shortcuts, and trails leading to abandoned encampments.I found no trail markers to help stay on primary paths, but there is signage throughout reminding folks of the importance of staying on the maintained trails and signs with QR codes to download trail maps.Trailheads can be found at South Seattle College

Vincent Rowland: The main trails are wet and muddy six months of the year. The smaller trails are primitive at best and all too often dead end or lead to nowhere useful requiring you to turn around and go back the way you came. Not much for amenities like water or restrooms either. If you are prepared for that it is possibly the biggest slice of wilderness you can find without leaving West Seattle.

B: its a beautiful nature trail, but lots of trash and camp sites scattered along the walk. I always come across a dog walker with an unleashed dog. that always makes me nervous.

WR M: This was a really well maintained wide trail. At first I thought that it was not often used but I was pleased to see several walkers and dog walkers. I was also pleasantly surprised by the number of birds and woodpeckers that I heard. I'll bring my son here to enjoy nature while still being close to home.

Norm L. Hugh-Mann: A wonderful addition to the city...please report encampments in these areas to Seattle Parks before they destroy the green zones

I-5 Colonnade: what do users think?

Angie Sue Risvold: This place is amazing and so much effort put in to the creation of it that it's sad to me that its not used.I know there are homeless there but not many and it really is an experienced riders course but im just in awe of the craftsmanship. Beautiful

Christopher “CiViLX” Riley: One of the best mountain bike trials comp areas in the pacific north west. Small but packed with fun things to ride all under the umbrella of I5. Rain or shine this spot has something for everyone but more geared towards the high level riders.

Jeremiah Smith: Park only had 2 people living in it so there was plenty of roaming space.

William Altieri: This is such a fun place. As long as the jump lines are maintained, it will continue to be somewhere that I frequent. I go 4-6 times per week depending on the weather. Please maintain the jumps and also - the middle jump line is unusable right now due to trash, rocks and the landing surface. Could we get a time together to do some maintenance work as a community?Thank you!EUC_LOGIC

temple of healing: Great obstacle for bikes

Will B: The most interesting aspect of this park is that it exists under I-5. That is also the worst aspect of this park.Despite being situated under a thundering interstate, the park is airy and bright. It also has more features than your typical park. There are places to sit, a dog park, and a BMX type biking loop. Plus, the steps run through here.It would be a five-star park if it weren’t for the constant and loud traffic noise above. For a park under a highway, it’s practically the best it can be.Restrooms: No restrooms :(Dog-friendliness: There is a fenced dog area located here. Doesn’t appear to be busy.Picnic area: There is a stone bench and several picnic tables.

Brian Bales: I had a Great time here on my Ebike!

Mark Padilla: Huge

De Hoffman: My fave sneaky dog park

Eddie Tseng: Friendly state park. It’s a state park so it needs Discovery Pass, you can buy the pass there. It’s $10 for a single day and $30 for annual usage. All the trails are super friendly in my opinion. Short and shaded.

Paul E: gem. I have lived in W Wa my whole life, have driven near or by this park numerous times but had never stopped in... Had a grand day hiking the loop trail and identifying the wild plants and spent some time down by the lake. I can't wait to return
