Facility is nice, organized, clean. Plenty of equipment to use. Parking was easy. Would return here next time I’m in the area!

K Min: Kaden is a wonderful and patient coach! He emphasizes a lot on forms and progression during classes, which was a hard requirement when I was searching for a CrossFit gym. I feel safe here to try new exercises and even competitions that are out of my comfort zone. And I like the people here! There's no ego and everyone is so nice and supportive. Open gym hours are also very flexible as well.

Jason Lorance: Helpful, clean, professional, effective, and fun!

Neil Byers: I joined Valkyrie a little over a month ago and really appreciate the structure of the workouts, being able to track my performance and the welcoming community. Class sizes are usually no more than 10 people so you really have an opportunity to get to know others and have personalized coaching. It’s a great place to be, whether you’ve done CrossFit before or if you’re trying it for the first time.

Dylan Simonds: Very welcoming gym with great owners and coaches! And huge variety of workouts!

Most importantly, the coaches really focus on form at this gym. Coach Aleta is always watching us carefully to make sure we’re performing our movements properly and I appreciate that so much. The members at the gym are so so welcoming and friendly and it makes the experience that much greater. Glad I found this gym! 🙂

Katie WK: I have had such a positive experience since joining Valkyrie in 2019. I love that our community is comprised of a wide range of ages and skill levels and that there are so many different ways we measure and celebrate success. Personally, I am stronger now then I've ever been, lifting barbell weights I never imagined possible and doing skills that I didn't believe I was capable of. And there's still so much to learn! I am always impressed by the level of individualized coaching I receive during class or even during open gym. Each coach I work with truly enjoys what they do and celebrates alongside athletes when they accomplish their goals.

FUELhouse: what do users think?

Lou Ernst: Nothing but positives to say about the entire Fuelhouse Family — coaches and members. Incredibly welcoming and nonjudgmental. They offer a full range of services from one on one training to group classes. Challenging but approachable at the same time.

B Michelle Johnson: I love this gym! It was recommended to me by a friend. My usual routine was disrupted during the pandemic and as I have aged, I need to focus on weight training. They have awesome classes and fabulous trainers. They'll push you but they're also keen on good form and adjustments so that you can get your best workout within your limitations. I feel stronger than I have in years and everyone is genuinely nice. Love it here.

Alexey Rybak: I've been looking for a gym with a strong community for years, and Fuelhouse is exactly what I needed! The coaches and the community are fantastic.

jane kelly: Best gym in seattle and woman owned/operated!

Julie Churchill: Loved that Fuelhouse Gym made this Midwest gal feel welcome for a drop in class this morning! Owner Molly and coach Haley were all awesome, and all the members there were so great! Highly recommend!

Casey Brown: I've been a member of Fuelhouse since it opened and have been consistently impressed with how the gym has grown and continues to evolve into a very special business and community. Molly and her staff are committed to the overall health of their members. The physical health is, of course, important. The workouts are always fun, even when they are challenging and I've never regretted anytime I've spent there. Fuelhouse has become a home away from home and I've met some incredible people since joining who have changed my life for the better.Through the pandemic, Fuelhouse provided a means for the community to stay together and stay strong through hardship. They were also incredibly supportive when I needed to take some time off due to surgery and were an essential part of my recovery. All these and more are why I am proud to be a member of this gym. Come check us out!

Jen O2: I became a member of Fuelhouse this past September After a year of PT for a back injury. I’ve been able to rebuild my strength thanks to the training and encouragement of Jeff Sokol and Molly Kieland. It’s such a great community at Fuelhouse.

Jenn Seva: Caring, intelligent, genuine, creative coaches who attract caring, intelligent, genuine, creative people. FuelHouse is so much more than lifting heavy metal in a building with a cool mural: it is yoga, it is mental health, it is community, it is family, is my Third Place that supports and greatly enhances how I show up in this world. I am so glad I started there in January 2019 and look forward to an even longer future relationship. My physical fitness is in a much better place, as well as my emotional and mental health. Holistic gains at FuelHouse. Also, funny AF. So much good humor there.

Maria McDonald: Fuelhouse is so much more than a gym. It's a place to get strong, be supported, build friendships, celebrate life, be in community, challenge yourself, deepen your wellness knowledge base, change your habits, shift your mindsets, and learn from the most educated and inspiring coaches in the business. It is a one-of-a-kind fitness experience that might just change your life. We are truly stronger together, and Fuelhouse creates the environment where strength, in all aspects of life, thrives.

Mary Souder: I don't live in Seattle but while I was here visiting I went to a couple of classes led by Brian who was very helpful and encouraging, as were the other members. It can be intimidating to go to new gyms and this place is very warm and welcoming.

Annie Fitzgerald: FUELhouse is hands down the best gym I've attended in Seattle in the past 30+ yrs. FUELhouse has numerous trainers and all are highly skilled, knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and laid back while focusing on safety. The gym's owners, trainers and clients are welcoming and non-competitive and still focus on making one's personal goals reality. Highly recommend checking out FUELhouse if you want to get in shape, have fun, and feel good about yourself.

Lexi Brecht: and both coaches + members really make you feel welcomed and a part of a close-knit community day one. Very happy I found this gym — highly recommend :

Michael Kirkman: I attended a Strong First 101 kettlebell training class and I learned hands on high quality training techniques! This is a top notch gym for anyone looking to get strong the right way and build a body that will withstand the stresses of life and set you apart. The Training I attended was great and Annalisa, Jeff and Molly were all great instructors that really had high quality instruction that touched every aspect. I'm looking forward to attending in October!!

Luke Constantinides: I first trained with Coah Sokol three years ago when I was making a pit stop in Seattle to visit family for the holidays. This past week, I was able to train with him again, and remembered why I keep coming back. Coach Sokol and the FuelHouse team have rigorous classes, but the way they train and coach is detailed and helpful for those that have minor or major experience with kettlebells. Someone like me with intermediate knowledge on kettlebell techniques am always learning something new in these classes, and ways I can properly use kettlebells without hurting myself. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the PNW. Thanks again coach for the consideration!

Kristen Cramer: Just an update to say that I still LOVE Fuelhouse Gym!I I participated in the Tactical Strength Challenge special training classes and exceeded all of my goals and PR'ed in all events. The coaches kept me motivated, and encouraged me even when I thought I couldn't do it. I love that you can show up to any and all classes , and do your best, for that day, and it can be different day to day. In the same class one person might only be doing body weight and another massive weight, and there is no judgement or comparison. Show up as you are and do your best! UPdate 12/30/2021I have been a member since day 1 and feel so supported. No matter how my body feels and what injuries I may be nursing, the coaches offer great modifications and advice.I can't imagine that there is another gym in the world that could have stepped up like FH and its coaches have during this "Stay at Home" period. I have had 0 excuse for not continuing my workouts. The coaches have really shown up with learning new technologies and offering so many modifications for all abilities and access to equipment. I sometimes even talk back to the recorded video when I am working out, that is how real they are! AND in the midst of all of this, the physical gym had to be moved and the new one built out! I am in AWE of Molly and her team of awesome coaches. Thank you for showing up, even when I don't....

CrossFit West Seattle: what do users think?

Jared Tankel: The coaches and fellow members at CrossFit West Seattle are incredible. I’ve jumped around many gyms and workout plans and I have never felt as dedicated to a fitness program than I have a here. Amazing place and highly recommended for anyone wanting to try something new or find an established gym to continue their fitness journey. Support and dedication to the community are the guiding tenants of CrossFit West Seattle.

Devin Liddell: ; people of all shapes and sizes and abilities supporting each other. I'm also still improving as an older athlete

Eric Linxweiler: This is my second time now "starting" at Crossfit. I started here years ago, then life got in the way. I was fortunate enough to start again when so much has changed: me getting older, new coaches and ownership, and of course new friends. There are very accomplished athletes here, as well as those just looking to improve daily fitness. High schoolers to folks that have high schoolers as grandchildren. Everyone is welcomed, and everyone is encouraging. The workouts provided through their app are great, and you can reserve a time in class based on your schedule. It makes it very easy to know what to be prepared for, and to track yourself and see how far you and others have progressed. The hardest step is the first one through the door. Once you do, you'll want to keep coming back to this excellent community dedicated to individual and community growth.

Eli Barlag: CrossFit West Seattle has been my home away from home for over 10 years. The variety of workouts is amazing, fun and always possible to modify to member’s‘ abilities and fitness levels. Coaches are there for support, helping to make everyone feel successful.Through 2 hip replacements and other injuries have I always felt welcome, got all the help, support and encouragement not only from the coaches but the community as well.Who doesn’t love to be able to lift a barbell with classmates cheering you on or be a kid again by trying to climb a rope?

Christopher Hoyt: Love this gym! I've been to a lot of CrossFit gyms and this is one of my favorites. They have thoughtful programming, knowledgeable coaches, and a welcoming environment Whether you are completely new to working out, or are an experienced veteran, you will feel at home at CrossFit West Seattle.

Jenna Cohen: I love CrossFit West Seattle! It's that neighborhood gym that feels like you've been going there for years. They create an environment that is welcoming. Everyone is supportive and motivating! My favorite part is that every class is different. You are always walking into a new workout that is challenging and pushes you to be better. If you are looking to be surrounded by people that are uplifting and at all different levels, then give it a shot. Once you start going you will be hooked!

Joseph Hughes: CrossFit West Seattle is the place I go for workouts, great coaching and variation in daily programs, both key to staying fit in retirement. Highly recommended!

Jordan Proudfoot: I love CrossFit West Seattle! Best fitness community in West Seattle! I've been going here for over 2 years and began coaching here over the last year because I like the community so much!

Jenna Rerucha: and abilities. There are always people at my level as well as someone to inspire me!

Christina Bondoc: CrossFit West Seattle is AMAZING! I've been doing CrossFit on and off since 2016 and started attending classes regularly at CFWS last year. Among many wonderful things about CFWS, two stand out - the quality of coaching and the community! The coaches are experienced, knowledgeable, and always have options for every level. They make class so fun! The community at CFWS is phenomenal! I've made friends here which I am so thankful for after moving to Seattle a couple of years ago. Year round there are fun events like getting together at the local brewery, a holiday party, etc., making it fun to hang out with everyone in and out of the gym. Thanks to the excellent programming and supportive environment, I can honestly say I've never been fitter in my life and am amazed at some the PRs I've been able to hit by going to CFWS. CFWS is honestly the best!

Andy Kipling: Great community, great people, and great place! I have never been a gym person, but have found the programs, coaches, and monthly goals to be motivating and engaging and I am in the best shape of my life as a result! Thanks!

Logan Hennessy: Amazing community. These people practice what they preach. Come as you are and get a great workout.

Daniel Lee: I have a lot of battle scars from my earlier years of being in the military and enjoying life's adventures. My wife and I recently moved to West Seattle and I was looking for a Crossfit gym that valued people, community, and well-being. I have been going here for about 2 months now and from day one, they consider you as part of their family. Due to some of my previous injuries, they offer a lot of great alternative movements so that I can get an equal amount of work in. The coaches push you! All of them are amazing and want you to do your best and become your best. I'm happy to call CrossFit West Seattle my home gym and I am looking forward to becoming a stronger version of myself both mentally and physically.

Jack Dennis: Amazing place to workout

Chanomi Maxwell-Parish: . I have been a member at several gyms over the years and this one stood out from the beginning as being very well-run, attentive, and overall excellent. Danielle, the owner and head coach, is a gifted trainer with a knack for hiring similarly talented and passionate coaches. Highly, highly recommend!!

Karen Gibson: Finally found my workout home!

peggy ullmann: Super competent and attentive coaching! Gracious and welcoming members.

tony malerich: This box is awesome! Danielle really likes and cares about everyone, and that extends to all the coaches - Brittany and Sean and Abby and Sabrina and Jordan and Denise and Troy and Owen all understand what we can do, and push and challenge us.

Katya Prosvirkina: and everyone is friendly and supportive of each other during class. The owner Danielle is the best and truly cares about the members. She gets new/updated equipment for the gym every couple of months, schedules fun social events regularly in and outside the gym, and is always open to feedback about how to make the gym better and more fun. I highly recommend this gym for intense

CrossFit Twenty Pound Hammer: what do users think?

Julian Ordman: I've been a Crossfitter for almost 7 years and a regular member at TPH for almost 2 years. TPH is hands down my favorite of the Crossfit gyms I've worked out at. The coaching is top notch, with a focus on safety and scaling workouts to meet the needs of each individual. The programming is thoughtful, with clearly-defined training cycles and routine retesting to measure our progress. And last but not least, the community is extremely friendly and supportive.

Emma Whybrew: I moved to the area in May of 2022 and tried 5 gyms before I found Twenty Pound Hammer. During my search, the coach at TPH was the first coach in all 6 gyms to ask me if I had any injuries they should know about. I signed up and never looked back. The coaching and community at this gym is amazing. I’ve grown so much here and would encourage anyone looking to improve their fitness and find community to join the gym.

Jesse C: I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed my time at CrossFit Twenty Pound Hammer. When I first attended, the team made me feel welcome and wanted to support my ability and help me grow. They asked me about any injury concerns and helped me scale so that I could grow at my own pace and never made me feel like I was in competition or was underperforming against a set standard. I consider the team my friends and the entire gym community has been nothing but amazing. It's been nearly 3 years that I've been attending and I still look forward to the workouts.

Gary Owen: I've been working out with the crew at Twenty Pound Hammer off and on for as long as they've been open and my fitness journey always ends up back here. They really do have a special thing going. The training, the space, and the community are all amazing. I attended group classes for years until I wanted to start specializing my training to fit my individual goals and transitioned to their individualized offering. I would recommend that anyone, whether they're new to fitness and training in general, or a seasoned fire breather come and spend a few sessions in the gym. You won't be disappointed.

Xiaohan Song: Been in the gym for a year - everyone is so nice and welcoming here. Nice location, easy to park if you drive, and the coaching I received is top tier quality for sure!IMO crossfit gym is just like a regular gym but is much more effective and make the most out of workout time. If you are like me going to gym from time to time just to keep adding exercise to daily life, try this gym!

Amanda Snyder: I've been attending this gym for almost a year, and it's been an amazing experience! All of the coaches are extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. If you are like me and found yourself wandering around the gym weight room and not pushing yourself in your workouts, I highly recommend you try a class at Twenty Pound Hammer. It's been nothing but rewarding for me physically and emotionally.I would also add: don't to be intimidated. Everyone is always learning something new and in different places with their skills and fitness level. The coaches do a great job at meeting you at your skill level by scaling workouts so they're doable, while also teaching you new things and pushing you to do your best. In short, it's a wonderful community and I highly recommend this gym!

Katherine Sprudzs: and I still frequently get emotional regarding what an impact this gym and its coaches have had on my well-being. I cannot say enough or too many good things about Twenty Pound Hammer. I have a history of various eating disorders, body dysmorphia, and exercise addiction, so I was weary of starting Crossfit, given its generic reputation for being anywhere from culty and overly intense to downright unsafe. TPH IS NONE OF THOSE THINGS. Twenty Pound Hammer has allowed me to feel strong and excited about getting stronger. I come from a 20+ year background in dance and have a group fitness certification myself, so my standards and expectations for coaches/instructors is high. The coaches at TPH exceed them *daily.* They are so so smart, so safe, so kind, and so in tune with the people in the room at any given time. They always lead the group through a thorough and relevant warm up, welcome questions, offer lots of scaling options, share helpful tips and tricks, and in general are just amazing. I firmly believe this is the best Crossfit gym in Seattle. Give the gym a try for a week or a month; they have trial plans to see if TPH is a good fit for you!

Colin O'Shaughnessy Tucker: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI can not recommend this gym and its coaches highly enough. The programming is smart and fun, as are every single one of the coaches, and community as a whole. Definitely a special type of Crossfit gym worth checking out.

Slate Strength & Conditioning: what do users think?

Naomi Schwartz: Best gym ever. The coaches are amazingly supportive and knowledgeable. They push you to work hard, but in a way that feels empowering. The community is also warm and welcoming and encouraging. I'm so glad I found Slate!

Kristin Ainslie: The welcoming and inclusive community at Slate is what keeps me coming back week after week. The coaches, the other athletes, and the whole culture of the gym is like no other I’ve experienced. No matter what your level—I started as a complete beginner—the incredible Slate coaches will encourage, challenge and support you!

Clinton Dela Cruz: Great atmosphere and friendly coaching staff. Thank you Whitney, Buiford, and Johnathon!

kendra koeplin: Slate has been the most supportive and inclusive community of coaches and members! Coaches provide personalized modifications around injury and ability. Slate is a great place to get fit and have fun!

Lindsey Hornickel: I should have posted this review at least quarterly over the 5 years I was a member here before I moved to the East Coast, but I was spoiled. I know now I will rarely find a gym like this again. You should absolutely take the opportunity to check out Slate. You will find an amazingly welcoming, inclusive, member-driven, expertly coached environment to fall in love with feeling good and strong. Over the years I have watched long-time members, first-time gym goers, and former CrossFit competitors train together with the same result each time- positive vibes abound! I go back to Slate as my home whenever I am in Seattle and always will. Thank you always for the community you have created Clay, Karny, and Whitney.

Joshua Newman: Great community for strength and fitness! Knowledgeable coaches, regulars you get to know, variety of equipment and workouts. Slightly older crowd, lots of parents. No pressure to "over do it", just a very supportive, welcoming, positive community.

Celina Dill: Dropped into a class with my sister who goes to Slate regularly and loves it! The environment was inviting and coaches were kind and knowledgeable. I don’t do CrossFit regularly and felt totally supported at my level, if I lived nearby I’d jump to join this community. Thanks Slate for the awesome experience!

Suzi Zook: Super friendly, great workout, welcoming patient staff and fellow athletes.

Jose Alvarez: The vibe at Slate is phenomenal. When I am traveling through Seattle this place is a must stop. The 5am class has a killer vibe. The coach Morgan has great energy. You can tell he is truly passionate about his profession. All the members go out of their way to say hello and make you feel welcome. Lastly, the owner Whitney is great. I sent a late email asking to drop-in and she got back to me immediately. This place is 🔥. 🌲 🤙

Michael Lau: Great drop in option.

Alexandr Corenciuc: Great place and awesome coaches!!!

Seamus M Keating: An amazing community of supportive people that really care. If you want to get in better shape but maybe are intimidated, the welcoming group of coaches and individuals here are a perfect place to get started.

Kirsten L'Heureux: but she showed up to each workout with an informed plan and knew things about the injuries, and strengthening around them, I hadn't yet learned. We spent January and February training 1:1, and I gently joined classes in March. I was even able to start running again

David Bernstein: after a shoulder injury and surgery. I was terrified of the roided-lookimg stereotype lifting ridiculous amounts of weight at blazing speeds. But I gave it a shot. Slate is my second gym and even though I now live ~20 minutes away, it's worth the drive. The coaches at Slate are AMAZING. First, their focus is good form--not weight or speed. This means you always have someone with an eye on your safety. At the same time they balance encouraging/pushing you with continuing to coach/correct. Not easily done, but they do it right. The community is equally as amazing. People are friendly and welcoming, encouraging, and just enough peer pressure to push yourself for a good workout. Are there people who can lift really heavy really fast? Yes. But they're actually the nicest, most encouraging, helpful people there. You're judged on your effort, not your weight/speed.The space is large, equipment is good, and they've followed COVID precautions well.I could never keep myself accountable or on track just going to the gym. But having a scheduled workout and signing up for class has gotten me in shape. Can't recommend Slate highly enough.

Madison Leong: I have tried out several gyms in the Seattle area, and Slate is BY FAR the best. The coaches are all excellent, the programming is challenging, and the atmosphere is supportive and competitive. Whitney has even set up tents outdoors so we are still able to attend classes during the pandemic.

Tom D'Angelo: and feeling intimidated by all those people. That's why I love the Slate coaches and fellow members - we all belong. We are all committed to doing what we can. Great people and great coaches make all the difference.

777 Strength & Conditioning: what do users think?

Jacob Stucky: I absolutely adore everything about 777! From the vibrant staff to the wonderful members, it's been a welcoming journey since I joined in April 2021. Everyone greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm! Thanks to the incredible coaches who are not just skilled but also incredibly supportive, I've seen a remarkable boost in my strength and endurance. Starting with no clue about CrossFit, I've not only discovered its effectiveness but also found my fitness family. It truly feels like home! 😊

Chris Pittack: "This Must Be the Place" - from the day I walked thru the door I have been super impressed by this home away from home. The folks who workout at 777 are passionate about fitness, the community is incredibly inclusive and the instructors are second to none. As an aging athlete the coaches watch me closely while providing the guidance and insight I need to not only get stronger but prevent injury. My skiing and sailing have seen marked improved thanks to Taylor and her team.

Fran Mason: I dropped in to support a friend there who had suffered a loss, and I had a great experience. People who did not know me were very welcoming and I had a great workout at my own pace. Thanks!

Heidi Lally: . I was bit intimidated by Crossfit-style weight training, but everyone has been so supportive and the coaches are super helpful. I'm still a newbie so there's lots of stuff I can't do yet

Richard: Love this gym! It's a great community; everyone is so encouraging, I'm able to push myself to be a healthier human!

James D'Amanda: Before I joined, the idea of going to strength training classes was intimidating to me. That changed very quickly because the owner and trainers were genuinely super welcoming and encourage you to go your own pace. Being a part of this gym community has had so many positive effects on my life beyond just getting in better physical shape.

Zoe Delain: AND tiered pricing?! I'm not sure it gets better than that. This place is great for all levels - I never worry about not lifting heavy enough or not being able to do certain movements. Crossfit can have the rep for being cut-throat and exclusive but the vibe of this place is the opposite. Everyone is wildly encouraging and the feeling of "belonging" is palpable. My workouts here are often the best part of my day - I can't rave about this place enough.

Pete Schwab: Great gym. Hidden gem in Georgetown. The vibe here could not be more welcoming. It’s like a really cool family. Coaches are top notch. I’ve been weight training at 777 for over a year with Taylor, the owner. Her programming really works for me and I’ve had great results. I get super personal coaching that has pushed me as an athlete, but in a safe, methodical approach. I’d recommend this gym to anyone.

S B: I’m so thankful to have joined this gym after my old one closed! I was really struggling to reestablish my workout routine while things were so unpredictable during the pandemic, and the supportive coaches and members at 777 have helped me find my new ‘home’ and the inspiration to show up several times a week. Everyone is really welcoming to new folks, and every level of athlete is welcome here. I appreciate the diversity here, and that it does actually feel like a big extended family. PS don’t miss the holiday party, it’s a total blast!! 💃🏻

Jenny Whelan: Such a great gym! Welcoming community with great people to work alongside! Just show up, workout, and you’ll leave better than when you arrived… The coffee is pretty great too! 😊

Justin Howell: of the coaches are positive, fun and take time to give pointed feedback even during busier classes.

Keith Hobby: Incredible gym with great people and even better coaching. The workouts are tough in the best of ways that I've never got anywhere else. Would recommend to anyone interested in starting their fitness journey or looking for a new home base.

Jeremy Kraft: Been working out here for about three years. Fantastic community, great coaches, and excellent programming. Incredibly inclusive and welcoming of all skill levels

Jenny Li: I’m a very casual fitnesser and have never had an issue here. Friendly members and staff, nice space, lgbtq+ welcoming as well.

Elaine Sher: Been with 777 for two years now and still loving it! I have never been part of a gym before because I always feel intimidated and a bit lost about what to do. 777 has been a game-changer for me as I get stronger and more at ease with my body. I always feel welcomed and supported not just by the owner, all the coaches, but also by the community. Highly recommend.

Erin Wallace: Amazing staff! Immediately made me feel welcome even as a big powerlifter. I felt so much support and kindness and patience as I learned all the new stuff.Fantastic space and solid equipment. Has everything my powerlifting heart desires and all the fun Oly plates. Lots of strong human stuff and loads of equipment for conditioning.

Duck: What a welcoming community. I am encouraged to be my best and celebrate my personal achievements. Many different levels of members work out together which is so motivating!

Virginia Winslow: . The trainers are awesome and really helpful. The gym culture overall is really accepting. We started training 1:2 with the owner as our personal trainer training up my partner and I after we really fell off the workout wagon during COVID. It brought us out of our slump and prepped us for joining the group classes which looked SO intimidating at first but wasn't the case once we joined in! You can adjust the workout to your skill level and no one cares if you can't do a handstand pushups

Bryce Pielage: It's a really awesome gym that I've been going to since 2020, I've met a lot of really wonderful people there, and It's easy to become friends with people at this gym. The owner Taylor is a lovely individual who I've known for quite some time, and she makes a great coach and person overall.

Asia Beale: This is my favorite gym! As a more quiet person, and not extremely athletic, I am so nervous stepping into new gym spaces and communities. I had no reason to worry here! The coaches and staff are there to help you reach any goal, no matter how big or small. And the other athletes are the most encouraging group of people. You can tell that everyone at this gym loves the community they’ve created, and I’m so happy to be a part of it!

Elliott Bay Community Fitness: what do users think?

Becca Kretschman: I’ve come to this gym for over five years. As a former regular gym rat and cycle class person, this is a far superior experience, product, and community. I was super intimidated by CrossFit but Rohan and all of the coaches are so welcoming and knowledgeable. Any workout is adaptable for all body types, ability, and injury. I’ve even moved across the country and maintained my membership so I can attend classes virtually. The workouts are great, but the people are what really make this place special.

Soo Yi: I’ve been a member of this gym for about a year and absolutely love it! The coaches are great. I’ve always been active but was intimidated to focusing on lifting weights. Everyone is so friendly and there is a huge community here at this gym.

Suba Chandrasekaran: I highly recommend EBCF! I joined EBCF over a year ago as I was looking for a gym that would help me build a better fitness routine to become healthier and stronger. I have always been an active person as I love to do yoga, run, hike, etc., but never felt stronger when doing these activities. I would sign up for gym memberships that had all of the equipment you could ask for, but I never had a clear workout plan that helped me progress to the next level.EBCF changed that immediately as the programs are challenging and are focused on strengthening all areas of the body! The workouts can easily be modified or scaled if I didn’t feel comfortable and the coaches are very supportive in working with me to achieve my fitness goals. However, my favorite part of EBCF is the community! I have met amazing, like-minded people at EBCF and I’m always excited to get a good workout in with a great group of friends!

Cheryl S.: are at all levels and always encouraging each other. Thanks to Elliott Bay Community Fitness that I am now feeling healthier, stronger, and happier

Sandeap Reddy: Positive:Professionalism,QualityGreat gym with an excellent coaching staff! The community of members is incredibly friendly and supportive!

Christopher Thomas: . And trust me: you're still gonna get a great workout. If you're looking for a way to get fit or stay fit with a community that is friendly and welcoming, you can't do better than Elliott Bay Community Fitness. I mean... it's right there in the name.

Palak Tripathi: Positive:Communication,Professionalism

Lauren Ellingwood: I’ve been to many gyms over the years and EBCF is by far the best! Great coaches, awesome people, and hard workouts. Everyone is extremely welcoming and encouraging, no matter what fitness level you’re at. I felt like part of the community right away! The owner, Rohan, is personable and will work with you to help you reach your fitness goals. Virtual classes have continued to keep me fit throughout the shutdown.

Evan Neubauer: I've been a member of EBCF for a few years, but I was completely blown away when, early in the pandemic shutdowns, Rohan and team moved their entire operation seamlessly online and haven't missed a day since. While we're all looking forward to being back in the gym in person, I have been able to stay more active than anyone I know because of the hard work of Rohan and the coaches at EBCF. I think anyone in Seattle interested in a solid fitness community should check them out.

Andria Hansen: I love the Elliott Bay Community Fitness at home workouts. They are relatively short but are high intensity which is perfect when trying to squeeze it in while the kiddos are napping. I like how every day is different and how the workouts are thoughtfully designed to work every part of your body throughout the week. I have been doing them for about a month and have already noticed changes in my body. My legs have never been stronger!

Tom Peled: HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dropped in from Spain for a week of meetings. Came for one WOD and enjoyed it so much that I automatically made a week pass! Very well equipped! Professional Staff! One of the best programming I've seen! Still go to their website to get inspired for WODs in Madrid.

Christina Manis: Drop in from out of state, and Joe was awesome! Great environment, coaching and FUN! A+++

Ian Aarsvold: Dropped in to Elliott Bay CrossFit unannounced today, and was welcomed immediately. Coach Eric did a great job on warming up the class, demonstrating/correcting movements, and motivating the class. Very nice facility and environment!

G D: Great atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Nothing but straight shooting let’s make you successful in your training attitude , and members have common vibe. Welcome to the tribe. Definitely will be returning when I’m in town on business as a drop-in.

SODO Fitness Mechanics: what do users think?

Diana Burgess: I visited as a guest from out of town and had a great experience! I am very new to CrossFit and appreciated how Greg, one of the owners, was so patient and really took the time to explain things carefully and correct my form. I plan to come again the next time I am back in town.

Steve Z: I cannot imagine a nice group of gym buddies or coaches anywhere in the world. Everyone is incredibly supportive of each other and the coaches are brilliant at giving just the right instructions in a clear and inspiring way.

Susan Leipziger: I’ve been coming to Sodo for several years now can tell you it’s the most welcoming, safest, and cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. The coaches are fantastic and will work successfully with anyone at any fitness level. The focus is always on performing movements safely and on buildings whole-body fitness. The owners, Angie and Greg, have built a friendly, welcoming community that actually makes it easy and fun to show up and work out on a regular basis. I give SFM my highest recommendation - if you’re on the fence, come try it out!

Manuel Tellez: Attending SODO always makes me happy for the rest of the day. Great coaching and members make every class incredibly fun. And you get fit on top of that. Wow, much fit, such strong. 5 star.

Mai Huynh: By far, the best gym I have been too! I even cancelled my other fitness memberships just to spend more time here. The coaches and members always inspire and motivate me to believe in myself to achieve much more in my fitness and it’s always a good feeling when I’m able to lift more weights than what my mind think. Thank you for making me a stronger person and living a healthier lifestyle! I would recommend this gym as it’s an awesome place for fitness at any level with no judgment but inspiration.

Tommy Rowland: Is round the only shape you've ever been in? Not sure where to start? Need someone to help you and show you how to do things the right way? This is the place for you. The coaches are fun, knowledgeable, and caring. This gym prides itself on making sure people are safe and enjoying a good-natured community to do fitness in. Workouts are scaled to your ability and you'll love the people you work out with. You won't find a better group of people, all working towards their goals right next to you and cheering you along the way!

Timmion Nichols: Coaches are knowledgeable and focus on form. Very good at suggesting modifications, especially for injuries. Great community of members and there’s plentiful parking!

Trebor: While it may be hard to get up early in the morning every day to attend class, I'm grateful for this place and the coaches! They are all knowledgeable and always provide constructive feedback to let you know how to improve.

Emily Monteiro: I am a member for 5 years now and I love my SODO Fitness community!

Karen Connelly: Awesome place to workout, and focus on the workout. Greg and Angie are the best, as are all the other coaches and people who attend.

Chris Rosenthal: Amazing gym

Cheyenne Roduin: One of the best group of people and coaches anyone could hope for.

Jay Sandel: I have been a member of this gym for about 3 years now. This is by far the best gym I have been a member at in Seattle. The coaches are top notch, care about your goals, engaged in you as a person, and help you perfect your crossfit ability in a non-judgmental way. Other members are also very fun to work out with - there is always laughter at the gym and many social opportunities to get to know one another. JOIN THIS GYM - you will not regret it!

Ryan Bohannon: .It's also a very inclusive place and I've never seen nor felt myself or another person be unwelcomed here. I hope and intend to be here for another 5 years.

Hugh Wanzakaffi: Great Crossfit gym! Excellent coaches and workouts every day!

Catherine Warren: I'll keep reviewing this amazing gym on every platform out there to get the word out -- SoDo Fitness Mechanics is the real thing! The amazing owners and staff are wholly dedicated to providing the best possible experience for members, even during quarantine.During COVID, they've been innovating hard. They offer equipment rentals, coach-led Zoom calls, socially distanced outdoors workouts, group-led online classes, daily workout videos to complete on your own time, and a library of recordings to help you perfect your form at home. Plus they still offer one-person classes according to state guidelines. The whole gym is as squeaky clean as a gym in the SoDo District can possibly be. It's a COVID-safe, challenging, supportive, encouraging environment that makes me want to go back several times a week just to feel happy. I've gained a lot of muscle and lost a lot of inches! In short, I recommend this gym unreservedly.

Kristi Suznevich: I have nothing but positive things to say! SFM has provided a space for me to become more confident in my own strength and endurance. The coaches are so knowledgeable and inclusive of all levels and needs. On top of challenging and motivational workouts the community is so fun to be a part of!

Ballard CrossFit: what do users think?

Ashwini Srishyla: Wonderful community and great coaches! They have an open gym available separate from their CrossFit classes. Plenty of parking available on the premises.

Angie Moe: Great gym. Full functional fitness in welcoming & fun environment. I've been able to get in the best shape of my life. Highly recommend.

Heidi Perkins: Had a great time attending this gym! The coaches were friendly, knowledgeable, and were extremely helpful with pushing me to what my body could handle. I was sad to leave Ballard CrossFit when I moved. Would recommend to anyone!

Daniel S.: Awesome community and superb coaching. Welcoming to all ages and fitness levels.

Raphael Hyde: Went there for Murph and had a blast!

Taylor Jacobson: Former CrossFit naysayer here. So glad I decided to try these guys out. From end to end everyone here was friendly, accommodating, patient, knowledgeable. Very safety conscious. Very supportive community vibe. The space itself is great. Only good things to say. My one caution is that there's a lot of skill and strength required to do a lot of the moves and you really really have to ease into it slowly if you aren't already fit and proficient in the techniques.

David French: Great coaching, challenging programming, and most of all a super friendly and supportive group of members to push you to become stronger and have fun.

Hephaestus Thunder: This year marks the fourth year I've been a member at Ballard CrossFit. I spent most of my life as a corporate gym rat, spending time and money without any interactions with people, let alone seeing any results. To say that I'm not the most outgoing person is an understatement - the people at BCF changed that! The group at this box are amazing, very open, warm, non-judgmental. We don't care what people look like, shape they are in, but more that they show up and put some effort into the workouts. You can expect tons of encouragement and a staff that will make sure you are doing things properly and safely. Ballard CrossFit really has changed my life for the better, so happy I took the chance and signed up!

Nate Douglas: Great coaching. Good emphasis on proper technique and warm up to prevent injury. Effective and safe. Already seeing results after my first month. Highly recommend.

CrossFit Deliverance: what do users think?

Charlie Whiton: .

Zach Berkompas:

Alexandra Hedin:

Tasha Hausmann: I joined this gym after working out alone for 18 months during the pandemic and moving to Seattle. I am so glad I joined this community! I was welcomed right away. Exceptional coaching and classic CrossFit programming. They do an excellent job tailoring to newbies and veteran cross fitters alike. Amy and James know and love their members, check in how how they are doing relative to athlete goals, and provide lots of feedback on movements. I appreciate their suggestions for scaling so you can make the most of the workout no matter where you are in your CrossFit journey.

Jocelyn Hutton: An amazing gym. Besides the meticulously cleaned and maintained equipment, and the well thought out workouts, the coaches are thorough and care about your fitness. But more importantly, they care about your wellness. The community at the gym is fantastic. As a transplant to the Seattle area, this was vital for me. You need a friend? You need a workout buddy? You’ve got it. You won’t find a better gym in Seattle!

Brett Cohen: Nothing but great things to say about Crossfit Deliverance. The programming is excellent, and the coaches are both knowledgeable and helpful. This is a great box, and I would recommend it to anybody interested in crossfit, whether experienced or novice.

Gabriel Collins: I’ve been going to Deliverance for 6 years and won’t Crossfit anywhere else. This box has great coaching, equipment, and programming. Coaches are very attentive and experienced and can meet anyone’s needs, whether they are an experienced Crossfitter or novice.

Joe Jang: Came into this gym with little to no experience and a bit skeptical but all the coaches and community of people that come here make it incredibly comfortable and safe to jump right in and learn. I really appreciate the emphasis on learning the techniques the right way and they're with you the whole time to motivate and coach you along!! Thanks Amy and James!!!!!

Juan Salazar: Has what you need to do your own workout, i did a drop in here. Coach was friendly.

Foundation CrossFit: what do users think?

David Witt: Foundation is such a wonderful place. The trainers do an incredible job with teaching, programming, and scaling workouts to your fitness level.Tony and Andrew have built a welcoming and fun culture. It feels like Cheers, but with barbells.

Elise Tinseth: A wonderful gym and supportive community. Great for new athletes looking to join the CrossFit community and opportunities for high level athletes to improve skills.

Cole Murphy-Hockett: Having not worked out in years, I sought out a gym that was close to where I live, and I'm so glad that gym was FCF! This place has given me the tools to start feeling more confident in myself. Every workout continues to push me. The coaches and community are great and it's probably that little extra social pressure that makes me keep coming! Would recommend this place to anyone--from beginners to the competitive weight lifter.

John Lyssand: Foundation CrossFit provides an amazing fitness experience with a strong sense of community. The members are great and build a very welcoming atmosphere, creating a motivating gym experience. The coaches exhibit remarkable attention to detail, tailoring workouts to individual needs. Since joining, I've witnessed substantial gains in both strength and overall fitness. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a results-driven gym environment.

Gabriela Sobral: Love working out here!! Great environment if you’re a beginner like me, and the people are great!!

Maia Kurnik: FCF is my home away from home. Friendly and welcoming.

Steven Pool: classes at my previous gym without ending up on the floor and had just done Festivus, so I walked in thinking I was on my way to "competition ready." Owners Andrew and Tony and their amazing staff of coaches quickly showed me how far I still needed to go and that I wasn't adequately challenging myself. Their programming was next level for me and every class was a schooling both in technique and in regards to what I am personally capable of. I purchased personal training sessions with Coach Ron Hook and he has helped me to level up considerably since I started with him 6 months ago. His professionalism and honed technical skills are apparent in just one class with him, but he has a super supportive, friendly, and an extremely patient approach that compliments his practical knowledge perfectly. He taught me that you aren't pushing yourself hard enough if you DON'T end up on the floor and so that's where I ended every session. The community in this gym is exactly what I've been looking for. It takes time as it does with all groups of people, but I was eventually taken in by a positive atmosphere of friendship and people who support others in their goals. The other members are the kind of goal oriented, driven people that have me getting to class early and hanging around after just so I can catch up and see how their weeks are going. Join this gym and make sure you thank me when you see me there everyday! And, no, Atlas isn't a horse!!

Valerie Valerio: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat atmosphere and coaches! Definitely recommended 👍🏽

Jo Hz: Amazing coaches. Great space. Top quality COVID protocols. Best gym I’ve ever attended.

Mark Cheeseman: Awesome gym with super awesome staff. After only a couple of months, some of the staff feel like family members. They are super fit and resourceful. When I suffered a bout of bursitis in my shoulder, the coaches were super helpful and adjusted the daily workouts to accommodate my injury.

Kenna Little: I’ve been coming to Foundation for about a year and a half and it was one of the best choices I’ve ever made, for both my physical and mental health. They have well trained and experienced coaches, fun programming, and a wonderful, welcoming community. Whether you are a competitive CrossFit athlete, more into Olympic weightlifting, looking to lose weight, or just interested in being active for an hour each day, you’ll fit in and find the coaching you need to pursue it.

INDUSTRIOUS - South Lake Union: what do users think?

Jacob Visoky: Visiting from out of town for a work conference, and did four classes. Highly recommend coming to this gym. The workouts are easy to follow and aren’t too intense if you have never done CrossFit before. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Siso Fd: First CrossFit class in Seattle and I ended up choosing the industrious.Definitely a 5 star experience. Thanks for the owner and CeCe the coach for being so welcoming.Definitely will be back every time I visit.I recommend 👌🏽

Joshua Morgan: Simply the best. The programming, equipment, coaches, and the attention to detail are above anything else offered in the space. They’re always wanting to improve and take customer feedback very seriously. If you haven’t already, come check it out!

Mahek Chheda: I’ve lived in Seattle for 6 years and tried almost 10 different group workout gyms. Industrious is by far my favorite and as the tagline says, I’m definitely the “Fittest I’ve ever been”. Highly recommend if you’re looking to get serious with your fitness goals but maintain consistency while at it!

D Carl: Absolutely love this gym! Not the typical gym bro xfit vibe that so many other boxes have. Do t get me wrong, I can bro out with the best of them, but this gym feels much more welcoming and accessible to the general public tha typical xfit box. Coaches and nice and pleasant and will give u gr8 instruction. Workouts have both RX and scales variations. The unique thing with industrious is the individual workout area dedicated to each lifter. I like this style alot but may not be for everyone.

Andrew Min: 5-stars all around from the team, the environment/gym, and the workouts themselves. Highly recommended Industrious to anyone looking for a great blend of cross-fit/HIT/weight training/cardio

Lucija Calic: Moved recently to the US and this place made me feel at home in Seattle. Haven't done crossfit before Industrious but fell in love with it. The gym is great, you have your dedicate space to work out, the coaches and the atmosphere are amazing. So happy I found this place! Would recommend it to anyone who is interested in crossfit, you can see daily workouts on their Instagram page.

Demco Fitness: what do users think?

Tamie Callahan: I started working with Sonja about two years ago. I'm 70 years old. My goal was to build upper arm strength and make sure I was steady on my feet. I did Sonja's intensive introduction course and then continued on for about a year and a half. Sonja is awesome. Her instincts are excellent with regard to the type of exercise I needed and how to make adjustments. Today I've got my own routine and go to my gym three times a week for a shorter workout. And I feel great. You can even feel the muscles in my arms, which I never had before. I highly recommend Sonja's program. For someone like me who was never interested in weight training before, Sonja was the perfect solution. I looked forward to going to the gym with her and still do. I will be forever grateful for her guidance. Is it intimidating for a 70 year old woman to join a gym with a bunch of young people? A little. But in the end, I was hoping that I could inspire them. You're never to old to learn how to take care of your body. Thank you, Sonja.

Eric Schuman: Demco fitness is the BOMB. The trainers will work with you to accomplish your goals no matter what they are. Maybe more importantly, Demco is a family. The trainers make a point to introduce everyone to each other and there is tremendous support. Best gym in Seattle.

Elizabeth Arcese: The trainers are Demco are the very best! I appreciate their expertise, openness and support for all who are there. In a world of workout fads, Demco is a great place to focus on your strength in a real, lasting way.

Suneeva Saldanha: Great fitness programmes designed by Ro and Sonja. Totally recommend this place.

Melissa Tran: I've joined numerous group fitness classes over the last 10 years, along with strength training on my own 3-4 times a week. I initially joined Demco when I hit a plateau and lost motivation. The semi-private training with Sonja and Ro exceeded my expectations. I love that they create a personalized program based on your goals. They paid close attention to my form and gave me tips that made the biggest difference in my strength training. It made me realize I've been working out the wrong way my whole life! I'm the strongest I've ever been now and I'm closer to my goals of how I want to look aesthetically. Additionally, Demco is such a supportive, fun, and non-intimating community. I really looked forward to coming to each session because starting my mornings here made my day 10 times better. I'm forever grateful I found Demco on google, and for everything Sonja and Ro has taught me!

Hailey Bae: Roland makes workouts fun!! Thanks to Ro, I have been working consistently for over a year and for the first time in my life, workout does not feel like a chore. In addition to making sure that the program fits your fitness level, he designs workouts that are fun, creative, and effective! I am so thankful to have met him and wish more people can train with him.

Vishnu Sanjit: I’ve been training at Demco Fitness for just over 7 months now and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. Roland, Sonja and Brendan are incredibly invested in helping you make progress and are a constant source of positive reinforcement to keep you motivated. They paid close attention to my form and movements during my early days to optimize my workouts and more importantly, to keep me injury-free. Overall I feel a whole lot stronger and more confident in my ability to push myself even further. Highly recommend you check this gym out!

Stella Chen: I've been doing semi-personal training with Roland at Demco Fitness for a month and I can already feel this is much more effective than training on my own. Location is nice and people here are friendly and motivated. Will definitely come back!

Isobel Ross: I love it here!

Danielle Fleischman: This is the place to go for all your fitness goals, I recommend it to everyone I know.

Tim Dapar: Demco Fitness coached by Sonja and Ro provides a safe, judgment-free zone, where we gather and celebrate each others accomplishments. The PT classes are tailored to meet your needs/goals, and the group workouts offer a challenging, yet fun environment where the exercises change from day to day. I look forward to going to the gym because it not only gets me stronger physically, but for the mentals as well.

Ben Hemani: I've been working out with Ro at Demco for the last year. It's an awesome little gym with great people, top end equipment and a convenient location. What more could you ask for!?

Prerana Bhounsle: As someone who spent years being over-reliant on group fitness classes that were not tailored to my body and goals, coming to Demco was such a breath of fresh air. The coaches at Demco really care and are invested in your success. I have never had this experience anywhere else. Cannot recommend enough!

Jeff Crisologo: I always feel welcomed and part of a community when I work out at Demco fitness. My favorite are the group class workouts with coach Roland, it’s fun & challenging at the same time 💪🏽 🏋️‍♀️

Amy Neuberger: This is an excellent gym that provides personalized training programs and fitness education suited to your goals and experience level. The gym owner and coaches foster a positive and fun environment where you don't just grow more healthy and fit, but you gain a community.

Gina Day: I have been training with Roland for two years, and at Demco fitness the last one. Prior to working with Sonja and Roland, I had never touched a kettlebell or barbell. Getting started on a fitness journey can seem daunting, but with their technical expertise and encouragement I’ve overcome a lot of those fears and picked up a bit of muscle along the way.The group fitness classes have become my daily escape where I can separate from the stress of work and focus on self improvement. Sonja and Roland have cultivated a group of like minded individuals who like to lift heavy things together, but also laugh and celebrate each others accomplishments.I’ve made the most progress in personal training sessions. Roland has done a great job at tailoring my programs to what ever goal I have for that season of life. There’s always an emphasis on safety and education, which I really appreciate. If you would have told me a couple of years ago that I’d be learning power cleans, I wouldn’t have believed you. I owe a lot of my progress to these two!

Neba Zaidi: I've been training with Coach Ro for over a year. This gym is phenomenal. Coach Ro takes his time to support each individual during group fitness- he breaks down the movement pattern, makes individual adjustments, and is a great motivator. As a beginner, I felt very welcome to the gym community who are regulars and consistent with Ro. They also help with identifying areas of growth and are fun to be around. Everyone has a growth mindset that is motivating to be around.

Green Lake Strength & Conditioning: what do users think?

Carly Chan: New joiners spend 2 weeks in small classes to learn the basics, then you'll have 3 buddies to go to regular classes with. Coaches & staff are supportive, classmates are friendly, and you are given space & time to focus what you want to achieve.I always struggle with body coordination & physical movement, and all coaches have been extremely patient in guiding me to avoid injury. So don't worried if you're new to exercise - this is a place that will help you get stronger!Thank you Nate, Kate, Shilo, Hannah, Zeyab, Mikaela, Tracy, Antonio, Jonathan, Patti, and Olivia for all your help & coaching!

Rachel Moorhead: This gym is the best health investment I’ve ever made. Living in the neighborhood, I’d waffled for months over joining—it’s pricier than some other gyms but you get SO MUCH. I do the individualized design program, where I get a 1:1 coach to start, then very small group sessions overseen by a coach as we do our customized strength workouts. It’s like getting private training 3-4 times a week, plus membership includes all the group classes they have running daily.I have some old injuries and the coaches have kept me safe while helping me get much stronger. And the people are the best part! You see the same faces and the community and friendships are awesome. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Cindy Liou: GLSC is a wonderful place with very supportive, helpful, and friendly staff. The staff make sure that you learn the right form and technique in an encouraging way that meets you where you are at. It has a great community that has not only helped fix my hip pain, but also for the first time in my life consistently gotten me into the gym several days a week. Even on my rough days, there is a genuine sense of "glad to see you, way to make some time for yourself." The space is clean and bright, and inviting to workout in. I highly recommend GLSC!

Katie Cannell: GLSC is a great place! It's incredibly inclusive and the coaches are awesome. As someone who has never really lifted weights before, I've learned so much about proper form and technique. The coaches take the time to explain movements and gently correct you.Highly recommend for anyone interested in strength & conditioning, at any level.

Matthew Hoover: , so I can always find something that fits my schedule. The coaches are also really friendly and supportive, which makes the workouts intense and enjoyable.

haoxiang hua: Joint individualized design, small group class up to 6 people in Nov, 2023. It's a gym as well as like a community. The culture is very inclusive. I enjoy both training and socials.I especially want to recognize my assigned trainer, Zeyab. He is professional. He helps me to program my exercise for each class, which really helps me to build muscles. You can also tell him your goal and he'll adjust the exercise to meet it.

Derek Veldkamp: Joined in November of 2023 to get back in shape with my spouse. Really nice & thorough onboarding experience; classes really focus on technique, and are less focused on how fast you are compared to others.Patient, fun coaching staff, good variety of classes, times, and membership plans.

Zuzanna Coggins: Loved the variety and programming and amazing instructors! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gym in the Seattle area!

Alex Guest: I joined GLSC about 6 months ago. After coming back from several knee injuries, I decided that I needed to for real incorporate strength and conditioning into my week instead of just saying I’d do it.I had never really lifted weights before and was nervous to try at first, but I like it now and it’s helped me feel stronger while running and mountain biking! The on-ramp classes were super helpful to learn the basics. The are tons of classes, classes are always different, coaches are intentional to teach everyone how to safely use equipment to do exercises, and provide 1:1 feedback to help you improve. Thanks, GLSC!

Daniel Pepper: My wife and I were gym refugees since our local Crossfit gym closed 2 years ago.At Green Lake S&C we found a new home.Skilled and friendly coachesVaried classes, with lots of availability throughout the day and week.Bright, open space.Clean, with two bathrooms plus a hand washing station.Friendly fellow gym attendees.

Alexa Albert: Been a member of this gym for over a decade! Owners are wonderful!!

Kristi Rendahl: So grateful to have found Green Lake Strength and Conditioning! It’s a welcoming and affirming community of folks who support each other wherever they’re at.

Bast: expensive yet worth it

Joseph Joo: that have been challenging, but fun to incorporate into workouts. The coaches are awesome. We get to know the coaches and they tailor classes

Chris Clark: I've been going here for ~8 months now and it's great. Workouts can be intense but there are members at all levels in the classes and the coaches provide quality guidance on how to scale up or scale down the workouts. I've also done some personal training which has been helpful to dial things in. Lastly, its a great community with lots of locals. Very low pressure with high reward.

Alita: I've been going to this gym for ~3 months & really enjoy it! I was a long-time member of Orange Theory & when I moved to Green Lake, I wanted to find a new gym that was first and foremost, convenient. I've never used the barbell & was a little intimidated at first, but I've gotten the swing of it. The best part of the gym is the vibe. It's very laid back & unpretentious. I'm not a fitness guru by any means, and there are people of all skills and experience levels enjoying classes. They allow dogs! I've even seen a baby in a stroller there once & it really made me smile. I don't plan to bring either with me but I looove how welcoming they are. It allows people to make time and space for exercise. It especially gives primary caregivers, who tend to be mothers, the chance to prioritize themselves. I respect the hell out of that kind of culture. My fiancee is going to join soon, too! The only thing to keep in mind is it's definitely more expensive than the average gym in the area, but for the walkability, structure & culture, it's worth it for me.

Lowell Bander: LOVE IT. The Individualized Design program is perfect for me! So amazing to have a program that's personal to me and have experienced coaches give me form tips every time I go in!These coaches are so solid! I go in the mornings, and Olivia, Laurel, and Chassi are amazing

Wendy Warren: After months and months of driving past GLSC and thinking "well I'm not really a strength and conditioning club person", curiosity got the better of me and I toured, promptly signed up, and haven't looked back. Nice people, a wide variety of coaches and members, a broad schedule, good programming, lots of encouragement, dogs, and a welcoming environment. Can't say enough good things about the place.

Loft Fitness: what do users think?

David DuBose: Great gym with great people. Very inclusive and welcoming to everyone!!

Logan Drummond: I just wanted to let folks know that Loft Fitness is a fantastic gym with really knowledgeable and caring coaches. I typically don't enjoy gyms very much, but Loft made me feel very welcome and cared for from the very beginning. Tours are totally pressure free for signing up, which I appreciated so much, and there is an awesome social dynamic to the gym where they have special events throughout the year. I can't recommend this gym enough to folks who are also neurodivergent or anxious about being at the gym as well. Give them a try! I promise you won't regret it.

Ethan Brentlinger: The variety of classes offered and 2

Steven Foiles: The programming and coaches are great. I genuinely enjoy going in and it’s so easy to go often because they have so many daily classes. I highly recommend joining Loft or dropping in.

Paige Pon: if not done right but I feel like Loft Fitness sets the bar

Mica Bailey: Happy I found this place! Great place to get your sweat on. Knowledgeable coaches, great programming, nice equipment, fun crowd, clean space.

Julie Myers: I just joined and have had a wonderful experience during my first three sessions. It’s a women owned business that feels inclusive in so many ways. From body positivity to health at every age to safety and injury-free before all else. I’m excited to join their nutrition coaching group and attend their community events. If you’re looking for a challenging work out where you feel inspired not pushed to be the healthiest version of yourself with a built-in sense of community, then this is your place!

Aaron Vw: Welcoming atmosphere, terrific coaches and members!

Neil Jones: I love my experience here. The staff is knowledgeable and the trainers are helpful

Mark Sexauer: I'm in my 40's. I have always struggled with staying in shape. Mostly because I could not, no matter what I did, self motivate at the gym. I just never worked out hard enough to get any results. I remember one day spending over an hour looking up exercises on my phone at the gym. The Crossfit Loft is a group setting and has been the only thing that has worked for me. I haven't felt this good overall since my early 20's. The instructors and class structure are what you pay for and for me and my personal experience it's worth it. You get out what you put in so it still takes getting there and putting in the work but I couldn't be more happy with my commitment to the Loft.

Laurie Gribschaw: in my performance and I attribute it to the programming, supportive environment, and diverse class offerings

Kevin Guidry: I’ve been at Loft for 7 years. It’s better than other gyms I’ve been to because of the experienced coaches and the community.

Kelly Robertson: I love starting my day at LOFT. The coaches are engaged and welcoming, no matter your fitness or experience. The atmosphere is friendly and there's plenty of space and equipment for everyone. You'll definitely get a great workout here!

Frank Garcia: I’ve been a happy member at Loft for years now. It’s a very inclusive and thoughtful gym. All the coaches and members are equally rad as well, I really couldn’t be happier with my gym.

Michael Ziwisky: I'd been doing CrossFit for about 4 years before I moved to West Seattle and joined Loft. In the ~5 months since I joined, I've hit new PRs on several lifts that I'd been stalled on for months or years. I attribute that personal growth to the excellent staff of attentive, knowledgable coaches who are always emphasizing proper form. Special shout out to Lincoln Brigham who teaches an Olympic Lifting class that's turned Wednesday into my favorite day of the week!In addition to the awesome coaches, the community is super positive, supportive, and fun, and I've met some great friends there to hang out with even outside of the gym.

George Ghali: Fantastic gym, I truly enjoy working out here. The instructors are sincere, professional, and genuinely care about your progress and holistic health and well being. Culture is competitive, but inclusive. The people here are always encouraging, and inspire me to keep coming in for workouts.

Kelli Thomas: I love this gym. The coaches are the absolute best; the members are great; the location, space, programming and equipment are so good. It's one of my favorite places to be.
