General Assembly Seattle: what do users think?

Marcel N: I've just taken intro classes in my spare time over a couple years. Love the business model that General Assembly has! The intro classes are very in depth for a short session. I just came from the cannabis panel they hosted and I'm shocked nobody took advantage of this profession event! When I finish my college degree, I'd very much like to take on the full classes at GA

Anastasia Tavare: free info sessions to get to know the curriculum and people there. I wasn't disappointed at all. Check out their info session or networking events, even if you don't think you need to attend the classes they offer. Honestly, anyone can get at least something out of any event the GA puts on. Get your learning on and check out an event!!!

Helen Ell Tran: They have free introduction to classes at night time and hosted the Google Sprint here. It was great.

Kids With An Edge Math & Reading Tutoring, Computer Classes and Early Learning Center: what do users think?

Sahar Rooholamini: This teaching and learning partnership has really boosted my child's math skills and confidence. She has made such great strides this year, and her solid performance on middle school standardized testing really demonstrated her progress.

Michelle Rappaport: My child came out of math last night soo soo excited about subtracting from zero. And I can already see such an improvement in her mental math skills. Thanks for turning her whole relationship with math right side up.

Stephanie Halpert: My son is now confident in math. Thank you!

renee sliker: A year ago, my daughter was behind with reading and now is flying through chapter books! It’s been a great experience. I plan to also start my son when he’s out of preschool!

sabra landon: I cannot believe how much my 11th grader has improved in math, and how much confidence he has gained in just the last couple of months of working with KWAE. It has taken so much stress off of him and I am grateful.

elvira castillo: . She makes math accessible and fun

shazi Barhamand: Miss Anu's classes have made our son so much more confident and comfortable with Math and well ahead of where he would have been had he not been in her classe . We couldn't have asked for a better math teacher. She is patient, understands how kids minds work, and makes classes fun for kids. You can tell that Miss Anu does this more out of a genuine love for teaching and a passion for helping kids than as a job. We are incredibly grateful to have somebody as committed as her teaching our son.

Shabnam Gulkk: My 4th grader's progress in math is very good. He had a math test last week and he got the highest score in the class because he covered the first five chapters with Ms Anu in her small online group. Her teaching method is very good and easy for children to understand. When he started with Ms Anu about 5-6 months ago, he did not even know his times tables and multi-digit addition/subtraction were challenging for him, but now he is scoring the highest in his 4th grade math class!

Rachel Friend: We have had a great experience with KWAE. Online tutoring, even for younger children, has been very effective and enjoyable. It's efficient, and we've seen immediate results. I highly recommend!

Vivek Sharma: , or writing funny or creative stories without worry about what people might think. Working with Anu has given them so many stretch learning opportunities – the math they learn with her pushes them far beyond what they do in school and that helps them feel confident in their skills. It’s amazing to hear them come out of class bursting with pride because they just learned a high school level math concept! We highly recommend Anu!

Moon Majumdar: Ms Anu is the inimitable greatest math tutor. You have to try it to believe it. Last year, she helped my then 3rd grade daughter go from being very upset about her math skills to now enjoying math and feeling more confident. While my then 1st grader has always enjoyed math and been pretty good at it, he really enjoys the small group online tutoring setting because he says it's more fun! Both kids will be continuing with Miss Anu again this year!

Colin Gamroth: Love this place!

Aaron Pedersen: We wanted to say a huge thank you to our tutor, Payton, for everything she has done for our son. Having such a supportive, gifted, patient, and excellent teacher helping him realize how well he actually CAN read means so much. I think that it means more to him than he will realize for a few years. He's reading signs randomly and just genuinely seems more comfortable and confident. She's a fantastic educator and we're so thankful to have met her.

Matthew Anderson: since he started working with you just 3 months ago

Laura Powell: My son has been doing online math tutoring with Ms. Anu since online schooling during the pandemic began in 2020. It started out as a great way for my son to get some enrichment in math and gain a deeper understanding of the concepts being taught online. We have continued with the tutoring even after online school ended because he finds it engaging and fun. He has a great rapport with Ms. Anu and learns so much from her.

Dan H: I cannot say enough good things about Kids With an Edge. Our daughter moved into the HCC program and went from kindergarten math in K, to 3rd grade math in 1st grade. She was struggling with the leap because of gaps in her foundational skills and understanding. We worked for months at getting her up to speed, usually very inefficiently because it took me a lot of trial and error to find the right way to help her understand.Eventually we learned about Kids with an Edge, and everything changed. Ms. Anu is incredibly kind and patient, and is absolutely a pro at communicating concepts in a way that kids understand quickly. She’s also very adept at diagnosing where misunderstandings are happening based on incorrect answers.Within three or four weeks our daughter was moving quickly and adeptly through her math, and beginning to show signs not only of confidence, but if pride and excitement. It has been such a game changer for our whole family, and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Abby Silva: , her teachers could not stop raving about her progress. Fast forward to her final conference in June, and she surpassed all of their expectations and is now on track to be ready for second grade. What has stuck out the most is their repeated comments of how much confidence she has now. Because they have provided her with the tools to work through ELA and Mathematics, our daughter actually enjoys it now

Joel McIntyre: Nothing but positive feedback. It's been hugely helpful. We're so grateful for the help. My daughter has really started to enjoy reading and seems to be gaining a ton of confidence with it.

Sarah Bricknell: coordinated any necessary changes to the schedule. My daughter is feeling good about math, loves her tutor and her grades are stellar. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Flatiron School: what do users think?

Kamal605 Madbar: . Every mod shows exceptionally significant abilities in the Software Engineering industry. Also, in my pursuit of employment, I discovered numerous chances where my new abilities were regularly in the required or favored abilities segment of sets of responsibilities. Being a Flatiron understudy requires devotion and difficult work, yet I guarantee it's totally awesome! Flatiron additionally has adjusted to virtual adapting extraordinarily well and makes a solid local area among accomplices. I created solid associations with my partner mates and have worked with a considerable lot of them on projects post-graduation. Discussing post-graduation, Flatiron offers individualized week after week profession advising that has been important during my pursuit of employment.

Dana Jackson: I attended the 15 week intensive full time software engineering bootcamp at Flatiron. I was part of the Seattle cohort, but because of Covid-19 the program was conducted entirely online. I thought that would be a drawback but it ended up being great. With no commuting I had more time to dedicate to coding and I was able to fit in a few more to-do's each day, like going for a run or getting an errand done. This program is an amazing way to learn a new skill very quickly. The structure of the program is excellent, and allows for self motivated learning but also provides a lot of much needed direction. I came from the performing arts so I was afraid I would be a fish out of water, but I had no trouble jumping right into the new material. My instructors were truly top tier educators, and really cared about my success. I cant say enough positive things about my experience at Flatiron. I feel it gave me the boost I needed to change my life and launch into a new career with confidence and momentum.

Matthew Sedlacek: . Each mod teaches very relevant skills in the Software Engineering industry. Moreover, in my job search, I found many opportunities where my new skills were often in the required or preferred skills section of job descriptions. Being a Flatiron student requires dedication and hard work, but I promise it’s absolutely worth it! Flatiron also has adapted to virtual learning exceptionally well and creates a strong community among cohorts. I developed strong connections to my cohort mates and have worked with many of them on projects post-graduation. Speaking of post-graduation, Flatiron offers individualized weekly career counseling that has been invaluable during my job search.

Margarita Morozova: I graduated from Flatiron School's software engineering immersive program in December 2020. Due to pandemic the program transitioned from on-campus to remote learning. We had to be on Zoom every day 9 to 6. Our day would start with a group discussion summarizing yesterdays lessons, we would then move on to pair-programming, then there would be a lecture and then we would finish the day with working on labs.I came to the bootcamp with zero programing knowledge and in four months graduated as a full-stack developer totally confident in what I've learnt. Honestly I was a bit skeptical before I've started this program, I couldn't understand how one can learn so much in such a short time. But the program is super intense and the curriculum requires you to learn and practice new concepts every single day. Every new skill you are taught comes with it's own labs which require you to use the skill until it becomes second nature. I like that Flatiron teaches you not only specific languages and frameworks, but they teach you how to learn, which is a great skill to have in life in general and certainly an important skill for a software developer.A word about instructors; the instructors we had were top-notch, super knowledgeable and helpful, and could explain complex, unfamiliar technical concepts in a way which anyone could understand. Our instructors were super supportive and they motivated us to keep going. The school's support does not end at graduation. Everyone is assigned a career coach who supports you for next 6 months and helps you during your job search.

Steven Parsons: . I worked 50-60 hours per week, doing a bit of extra practice outside of the curriculum. I finished at the end of July. I spent the following 2 months working 40-50 hours per week on my job search, practicing for interviews, and studying. I applied to over 200 jobs. At the beginning of October, after a 2-3 week application process, I accepted an incredible offer to join J.P. Morgan as an entry level Software Engineer on the other side of the country

Alec DuBois: Attending Flatiron School has been one of the most valuable experiences of my life. The instructors, staff, and coaches are knowledgeable, attentive, and really care about the success of the students. Each module was like being plugged into the Matrix for a few weeks and then waking up like, "I know Rails." It takes skill to pull off teaching at this pace with this kind of quality, and Flatiron pulls it off.

Eli Tooloee: Attending Flatiron School is the best decision I've ever made. The instructors did a much better job teaching than university CS professors ever did, and they seemed to legitimately care about students in a way universities don't. Probably because Flatiron is actually dependent on you getting a job after graduation. The curriculum is also good, with high quality lessons and exercises, not at all like the horrible materials used in many CS courses. The only warning I'd give is be ready to work hard. Your brain will be tired. I got through a college STEM degree putting in about 40% effort, but that will not work at Flatiron. You cover so much material so fast that you can't afford to fall behind. If you're ready for that and they accept you, sign up ASAP. You'll be upper middle class by this time next year.

Don Mallory: The instructors and curriculum are perfectly suited to folks from all walks of life and experience levels. They ensure every student has the support they need to succeed in the program.

Andy del Valle: I couldn't have asked for a better experience! All the instructors and peers were all friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Flatiron School to anyone wanting to start a new career in software engineering.

Alex Borst: You put in the work, and you get the results. It's as easy as that. Good luck to all future career changers.

Andrew Matheny: I attended Flatiron back in October 2019 and it was a fantastic experience. The teachers were very knowledgeable and I learned a ton. They really prepared me for my first job in tech. The campus is also very nice and I got to meet and work with a lot of fantastic people.

Scott Slatton (Crossmine): .From my experience at Flatiron my wife also decided to pursue software development but due to COVID has had to go through Flatiron's online course. I will say that from seeing her work schedule it is just as great as the in-person course that I went through so I would highly recommend it if the campus is still closed when you are reading this.

zeca paulo: I liked the structure

Kathy Fair: Very impressed with the ceremony and presentations. Incredible support staff, teachers and instructors.Talking with the students after graduation, a few showed us they're diplomas, two mentioned they would have "aced" high school if classes and teachers were likened to they're experience in technical school.
