Jenny Roza: I really like using Aveda Institute for my haircuts - I am a simple easy going client and I understand they are students. I don't mind that these services do take a while, or might have learning curves, but there is always a supervisor to review the work I have received, and I always leave satisfied! Seattle is super expensive - this a great way to save money and give the students more hours of experience to complete their program!
Sadiye: First time I was there for a hair coler. After all, I was very impressed and happy with everything. I forgot her name, start with G, she was very confident about her skills, she was nice and friendly. She was able to cover all my white hairs, then styled. She was very successful! Price is also good. If you are a senior, you get discount, which is very helpful. Ladies, I recommend that place to go and try. The place I went in Capitol Hill, very close to Seattle Central Community College. After one week, I went back to this place for highlights. Next time, hopefully soon, Iwant to try facial. From now on, I know where to go for my hair.

Anne Hepfer: This is the best deal in town for a haircut or any other hair or skin treatment in town. The students have your hair or skin checked at every step with knowledgeable teachers. I've gotten fantastic haircuts there for more than seven years. Every time I've gone the staff and students have treated me well and they have always been professional. The only drawback, which really isn't one, is that you have to give cash or venmo a tip.

Yukako Amari: I have gotten hair did sporadically for years here and I do have some regrettable moments being a picky knit picker too, but in my experiences, faculties are usually quite accommodating and fair- I can tell they care about the students a lot- and as a squeaky wheel customer, I get to be a part of students learning journey too. It’s of course a hit and a miss at the time, but I find it to be the case anyways for the regular salon until I find a special match- its hard to come by like any romantic partner to find the one lol- since I lost my ultimate hair styling person, it’s been the case for me for years.. so I keep coming back to the school to get things done that I need to get them done the way I want them done, even if I need to come back to get it re- done. The OCD part of me 😅🔫 sigh.There’s less egos to battle since they are learning and there’s a super great faculty who does bang trims if avail.Of course the pricing is hard to beat- so if you got some guts n ballz to squeak to get what you want, it might worth it for you too. 😛🧡

Bianca has years of experience under her belt and has amazing technique. Today I got my underarms waxed and I barely felt it. Last her bed side manner is impeccable! If possible I would give her 100 out of a 5 star rating!

Hannah Snow: So thrilled to have found this place. I saw Emerald and she did a fantastic job on my lash lift and tint. I have really stubborn lashes that point straight down. I’ve had multiple botched or mediocre lash lifts at other salons in Seattle and so I was eager/nervous to find a skilled technician. Emerald skillfully wrangled my every one of my stubborn lashes into place. The whole appointment was really fast compared to my experiences at other salons and totally painless. Jenna Eversole: I loved my experience at Vuus Beauty school. The prices were so affordable, and the services were great. I got a manicure and got my eyelash's done and the students are so kind always making sure you're comfortable. I got gel polish on my nails and they last a while. My eyelashes are also beautiful. I personally prefer more antral eyelashes and they did so good. I wanted a doll eye and i got what i wanted. For me when i ask for natural eyelashes most the time i don't get what i ask for but i got exactly what i asked for. I also saw some people with beautiful long eyelashes, and it also looked Classey. The manager is so sweet and so are the students.

From that I was just feeling really self-conscious.From the first phone call I had with Amy to chat and later schedule an appointment I knew she was the person I wanted to work with. You can tell from someone’s voice whether or not they have passion for what they do and Amy’s passion and love for what she does was felt through that initial call.From my first appointment she was very reassuring and more confident than I was that my skin would make incredible progress, and I trusted her. Each treatment my skin did improve so much and the biggest change I noticed was from my third to fourth treatment. I am loving my new skin; it looks the healthiest it has in years, maybe ever, and if you’re on the fence about doing this I highly recommend committing to it and Amy would be my number one recommendation.

Alexis Branch: I am a recent graduate of Tints Master Makeup Artist Program and I have nothing but good things to say about it. This school is Veteran friendly. The VA covered everything. The instructors especially Ms.Sable actually care about their students and them making it in the industry. They keep an open bridge with students even after they graduate. I’m still able to hit up any of this when I need advice about anything. They take covid seriously there. Mask up and covid sanitation EVERY hour and covid meetings once a week. They really encourage there students to give nothing less than their full effort they won’t let you fail. It was amazing to also have Cosmo in the same building and being encouraged to build those connections with them.

My skills have grown so much in the last 7 months and I feel very prepared to take on jobs in the future. All the module teachers were amazing to work with and they have a passion that is just so infectious. I had the privilege of learning from Ms. Sable, Ms. Stacie, Mr. Tim, Ms. Abby, Ms. Isabelle and Ms. Kara. I was in the makeup artistry program & I will say if you decide to attend you are signing up to pursue a career in the MUA field and it isn’t just playing with makeup all day. It will challenge you creatively every single day. Other than that I do recommend TINT to any aspiring MUA.

Kayden LaBrake: On 4/15/2024 I saw Morgan Hemingway for fractional resurfacing on my face. She was confident during the process, and let me know what/when she was doing throughout it. She numbed my face, so there was not much discomfort. It felt a bit warm and stingy, but that was expected. Working with Morgan was easy and comfortable. Afterwards my face was a bit sore and raw feeling, but by the next day started feeling better. I look forward to seeing her again in the near future. I also attached a few photos to show what it looked like a day post the appointment.
Leah Heitkemper: Been having my laser work done here for the last couple years. Chelsey is amazing! She always makes sure that I get the best result and am the most comfortable that I can be even in the toughest parts.

Instead, why doesn't the company just pay their people a good living wage? Their prices are rich enough. For this reason I just go for services that are a must or on sale.

Maddie Shields: I’ve been getting my waxes and facials done by Melissa for the past year and a half and I look forward to my monthly visits each time. For the wax side of things, Melissa is so easy to talk to to help make the time fly by and she is also quick as can be and has a good eye to details. I’ve gotten Brazilians, legs and eyebrows on the regular and she keeps my brows thick but well shaped. When getting a facial she provides an almost sanctuary like experience. The bed is warmed and she provides a wonderful neck to arm massage as well. If I didn’t get extractions I would probably fall asleep. From my understanding the other estheticians provide a similar level of service as well!

Before seeing her I had bought products based on popularity and not necessarily on what would work for my skin. When I had my first facial with her, she had me bring in the current products I was using. We went over why something was/wasn't working for my skin and it was very eye opening. Whenever she recommends a new product she always explains why she thinks it would benefit my skin and so far I've seen nothing but positive results. Also she is amazing at brows! Anytime she tints them I feel like a new person!

She has taken the time to look up products to help my skin, while also keeping in mind there are certain ingredients I need to avoid. She took the time to look up the safety of different products prior to recommending them and I really appreciate the extra help she has given me. The treatment I did get was superb. The setting is very clean, relaxing and high end. They have used a lot of the products they sell, so can give first hand recommendations. While getting the facial, I also had eyebrow waxing. I've had problems with my skin getting pulled with prior waxingsat other places, but this was very gentle. Highly recommend this business.

My bangs have never, EVER, looked how I wanted them to until this cut, I literally almost teared up! I will be going back for color, which we discussed and I know what to ask for.
