Hot Cakes: what do users think?

Megan Cosgrove: . Happily returning again! Thanks hot cakes 💛

Kristin Genna: I got to try the vegan brownie gooey cake here and it did not disappoint. It is so rich and tasty. It was packed on a Saturday night but we were still served fairly quickly. I only wish the ice cream portion was a little more. It really pairs nicely with the richness of the hot cake and I ran out of ice cream before I finished the cake portion. Next time I'm in town and I visit I'd probably order an additional scoop.

Nana’s Green Tea: what do users think?

Nhiem Le: Food: 5/5

Jong Lee: Great desserts! Next time we want to try the entrees like the katsus

Ananya: Super cute place - I’ve been to the bellevue location and it was nice to see one open up closer to home in seattle!Definitely busy and harder to find seats, but the treats are yummy and come out in a timely manner.

eli kim: but my partner loves it. So I'll round up from my 4 to her 5. Clean food. Nicely put together. I like the non-green tea

Cafe O Dessert: what do users think?

Minsu Kang: A moderately sweet and fluffy dessert! I've only tried the cakes, but I'm very satisfied so far.Recommended Recommended

kenmas toes: it was very good. i got the matcha cake and it had red bean paste on the inside. it's wasn't too sweet and match wasn't over powering. 10/10 would eat here again.

Y M: I love box cake, it’s perfect sweetness and super fluffy moist cake. Highly recommended 💕

Brian M. Demkowicz: Friendly service and the Taro Cake is da bomb!

t d: Thanks so much for the beautiful cake for my son 1st Birthday! The cake was even better than I imagine. Their cake is always moist, not too sweet, and very flavorful.

XeroKynos: Lovely little bakery with some Asian-inspired flavors. They offer various crepe cakes.

arya: Booked a birthday cake here. Very delicious and beautiful!

Skywalker Feng: Convenient location, great service, authentic and delicious HK style desert.

Brandon Riehl: Delicious!

Laura Kong: Salted egg yolk lava cake is my favorite cake, we bought one for 6 people, but actually it’s not enough for 6 people, one cake is perfect for 4 person!

Angel Cake: Delicious desserts, lady at the counter was really nice too! Came around closing time and received a bonus dessert~ 🍰

Cindy Li: It is very delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness. Some cakes are a little pricey but totally worth the price. Doesn’t open on Monday’s

Cindy xuan: The birthday cake is huge and beautiful

Megan C: Great egg tarts. I'll come back.

SUSU Dessert Bar: what do users think?

Lala Cloud: Never had a better dessert place than this. Can’t wait for the reopen, these pics are on the older side but prior to their close I went pretty regularly. Never had anything I didn’t like. You can taste the quality ingredients and it’s pretty safe to order anything and end up liking it.

Anya Noble: These might be the best patries I've ever had. Such interesting flavor combinations! I had so much fun trying different patries with my family. Everything was divine. I really recommend SUSU, especially if you want something original, not just boring familiar sweets.

veronika ha: The best !!! I love food, this is the best bakery that I have been to in Seattle. I have lived in the the area for over 20 years, thank you for opening !!! 🤓

Annie Cheng: They have many durian flavored desserts, which is rare around here! All of the desserts are beyond deliciously made, you can feel they put a lot of thoughts into making each items.Btw, the marshmallow on the their version of reese’s cup is super chewy, which adds a really nice texture!

Keri Ding: . Recommend their durian puff

Yü Wu: slices each day. That's what I like about SUSU. They don't aim to sell as much as they can but only bring out the best quality stuff. Their menu is "chef's choice" and is always featuring something new and fun. Durian Pâte à Choux, Whiskey Truffle

Sam S: Love Durian Pate, not watered down. Cold durian, like ice cream.

Melody Xiong: First time here and thought overall the treats were good. Got one of the cookies, whiskey truffle and the durian cream puff. The cookie and truffle were good but not anything too crazy. I really enjoyed the durian cream puff! I thought that it was really good and had really good durian flavor. Will definitely go back to get the cream puff!

River Flanary: You can't find better deserts anywhere. They have a revolving variety of wonderful and exotic options for any pallet. There is always something new and delightful to try. It's a chefs choice kind of place right now, so you have to come in person to see what they have lined up beautifully in the window. They are currently only open Thursday through Sunday and I recommend you get there before 11am to beat the line. People flock to get stuff here.

Ron S: Worth the wait! They are delicious!Takeout: Yes …

Jason Philip Yoong: Durian pastries are a must try. Delicious. We did have to line up 15 minutes prior to opening to get one.Owners seem super cool.

Skywalker Feng: I didn't know anything about this bakery, until I noticed a long line of people waiting outside the front entrance. I gave it a try and this is the best decision I made today. Their whiskey truffles are godsend from heaven. It has a rich flavor, from the combination of dark chocolate and truffles, but not too oily or greasy. I will definitely come back some other time to try the rest on their menu.

Jay Chang: Hands down the best dessert place in town ! this is what i've ordered- Durian puff- Cookie- Caramelized croissantThe durian puff blew me away, it's sweet and flavorful, the cookie is sweet and salty at the same time, the texture of the body is perfect, lastly the caramelized croissant, it's my favorite out of them all, sweet and crunchy exterior with soft and flavorful center. I need somebody to keep me away from this place.

Arundhati Tillu: The durian soft-serve was surprisingly great! I don't like the little bits of corn in the soft-serve, but it doesn't takeaway from how great this dessert is. I wish they start staying open for longer and on more days

Siyu Chen: Great dessert place, we really love the cheesecake and whisky truffles. BUT the waiting line is CRAZY. We’ve been here couple times, and had to wait almost every time even when there are not that many people. The most recent time, we arrived right before it opened, and waited for almost two hours. There were lots of people, but the major problem was that they were sooooo SLOW. Only two people to handle introducing varieties of dessert/checking out/packing food/organizing counter/etc….. It could have been improved. Overall, awesome pastry only if you are patient.

Livi N: This is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. Everything we got was delicious. The basque cheesecake was so light and airy. It was the first time I ever tried that style of cheesecake. First time trying kouign-amann too. I never see anything like this where I live! Maybe I’m not looking in the right places.

R&M Dessert Bar: what do users think?

Derek Breniman GMAIL: This place has the most delectable desserts in the Pacific Northwest. We had two tarts and almond cake, and the chocolate ganache gentleman behind the counter were also very hospitable and informative.

Marissa Violante: We attended a private dessert tasting here and it was even better than we expected. One member of our party was unexpectedly unable to attend, and the lucky person who joined us instead has celiac. We let Rod and Mark know upon our arrival, expecting that maybe one of the desserts could be made gluten free, and they surprised us by making adjustments so that three of the four were celiac safe. The service was impeccable, and the desserts and wine pairings were phenomenal. We will be back for future tastings.

One Bite Cafe: what do users think?

Erin Yoon: One bite isn’t enough 😋My personal favorite was Tiramisu!Food: 5/5 …

fernando Robledo: Service is great food is great but management is leaving one 17 to 19 year old un there to do everything and are completely over helped it's so busy and no one to help staff up please your poor emoyees

Jamie Hannam: Lovely.Grace + Team are wonderful. They went above AND beyond at this clean, bright establishment. 🌞

E R: Cute spot and good food and drinks! Highly recommend if you're in the Roosevelt areaVegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options and substitutesDietary restrictions: Gluten free bakery.

Grace Henneford: , fluffy cakes, onigiri, gluten-free options, shaved ice, and more all sourced locally or made in house.•There's additional merch you can buy•Couple board games to play•Some outlets with booths & tables to study at•Photo wall•Friendly staff•Option to order on a kiosk on site or face to faceMy one down side is the service can be very slow, but through observation I noticed they get a lot of orders online that they simultaneously have to keep up with. There's usually only 2 people max making drinks and taking orders on top of that.I think the drinks and food are worth it though and like all cafes you'll have things you like over other things, but that means there's more to offer to broader audiences.Dietary restrictions: Partnered with a gluten-free business/caterer

Austin Heinz: are excellent, when I dare to indulge in them!Maybe my favorite thing are the Samgak Kimbap, with tuna or spicy bulgogi. They're really delicious and convenient, honestly super addictive.

Seth Warnö: IF YOU LOST AN IPHONE 11/19/23 - it is/was outside the door as of 8:30pm. I tried to knock on the door and give it to the employee inside, and they seemed very hesitant and said that there was a "weird person outside" so they didn't want to take it. I don't know what this weird person did or if that was a reasonable decision for the employee to make or not, but it seemed like a brand new older model iphone and I'm sure someone is missing it.

Modern Japanese Cuisine & Desserts: what do users think?

Jonathan Betz-Zall: Generous and nicely varied portions in the bento boxes. The salmon collar was fine. The karaage chicken was well cooked but too cold by the time we got it home. I'm sure it would have been great if we'd been able to have it at the restaurant. The matcha roll cake is listed as their most popular dessert -- it's easy to understand why. An outstanding balance of colors, textures and flavors. I hope to remember to get it every time!

Hugo Aguas: Yes!!!!! I'll say it again for the people in the back- yyyyaaaaeeeesaassssss! So cute, so good! Yeeeaaaassss! It's that time of the year again where restaurant week reigns supreme, and this time they didn't miss! I had their restaurant week special which was a salmon box. Everything was perfect, especially the salmon belly, grilled salmon and salmon sashimi! Everything was fresh tasty and out of this world.Despite this location doubling as a bakery, they know how to make sushi and prepare wonderful pastries. The matcha cheesecake was superb with plenty of fresh matcha powder on top and mung beans on the bottom. This was easily my favorite matcha desert ever! While they don't have indoor seating, I saw two small tables outside. I'll be going back and happy freaking restaurant week!

Luke Hippely: I had a mackerel bento box - it was delicious and healthy. Friendly staff!

Lisa Chen: Lovely store and employees! Got some great suggestions for bentos for the family. The food was delicious and nutritious! They also sell some goods like bags and cups which were very cute.

Bil E: at $30 all in for a chirashi bowl that is 80% the portion of fremont bowl, I am not excited about the quality trade off that might be present.

J Y: The eel over rice was delicious with a nice warm miso soup!

Gabrielle Root: We live down the street. We also eat at restaurants all over Seattle. The thing that stands out for me at Modern is the food feels like it’s lovingly prepared. The ingredients are premium. Even the to go orders are carefully prepared. We get the salmon bento a lot, and the cuts of fish are premium. It’s the perfect amount of food. Tiny garnishments of pickled vegetables compliment everything perfectly. Service is also top notch. Love this place!

Alyssa S: Their sushi is really fresh and their customer service is incredibly friendly! Their desserts are also really good!Location is really close to the Woodland Park Zoo so I would highly recommend taking a quick trip over to it once you are done with your zoo trip.

Wan-Yu Wu: Awwww I love their custard puddings so much!!! Will go back again soon to try more dessert options 3

Nick Richards: Delicious. Nice to have dinner and dessert take out!

Allison McIntyre: My favorite sushi restaurant near my house. The staff is always very friendly and I love the desserts and drinks in the front.

A la Mode Pies: what do users think?

Mason Chan: Delicious pie. Probably the best cranberry pie I've ever had. The employees were also very inviting and helpful.

Erin Funk: is funny and gave great crust tips. I went back for the spring class. I plan to get my pies from them for my wedding. I can’t rave enough.

Summer Lambert: Tasty key lime pie slice and friendly service!

Benjy Files: marshmallow cream. This cafe has never failed me. I’m sad that they’re closing due to the building being rebuilt! Thankfully they’re also in Ballard. :

Bobby Chang: We came in to taste pies for our wedding. Chris was a great host and all the pies were so delicious, which made it hard to make a decision between any of them.

Mike Liu: Delicious and decadent pies. I had a slice of the s’mores pie and the marionberry and both were so delicious and rich.

Rinda Ann: We go here every single time we go to the Woodland Park Zoo as a little treat and its always yummy! Bummed that it's closing for renovations but we can't wait to visit when they open back up!

Maria Fernanda Wilhelm: The Mexican hot chocolate pie is their best one!

Irene Williams: Wonderful pie! We got a mini pie to split between 2 people and it was the perfect size. The marionberry hazelnut was to die for. They have ice cream, soda, and hot drinks available to accompany the pie. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and you can get pies to eat there or to go. Good fast service and a clean interior. Sure it's a little pricy, but it's supremely good pie in a nice neighborhood next to the zoo, so what would you expect?

Shilpa Shastri: Amazing pies and even better customer service! Would highly recommend them!

Shawn Bolton: I enjoy how close this A LA MODE pies location is to Woodland park Zoo.

Quinn RQ: This is the best pie place in Seattle in my opinion. Their variety of fresh fruit pies is unmatched, and I don’t find them as greasy& over sweet as other places! My personal favourite is the banana cream but the raspberry is a close second!

Bambū Desserts & Drinks: what do users think?

Kyle Cooley: The halo halo drink was really good.

Sana Jahan: This is a different take on the usual ice cream dessert and a pleasant one at that.Loved the taro coconut ice shave but it's a bit overpriced for ice shaves. But definitely worth a try!!!Also they are quite generous on the quantity and the normal size is quite a large quantity and is actually for more than one person :D

Andrew Sang: Prices are high but the products are really tasty. I think that if they reduced prices for certain items, this place would be incredibly successful

Nick Huntington: Best shave ice I've ever had. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Jason Lee: Their fruit teas are amazing, especially during the summer. The pandan waffle is addicting.

Lovely A: The avocado wasn’t as fresh but atleast the shop was open !

Willow Boettcher (Will): Minus one star. Gave us the wrong drink 🙄😒

Pearus Dee: I love this place. they always get me in and out and the service is amazing. if I don't come in for awhile they always let me know they missed me when I do come, and the feeling is mutual.

Elizabeth Mohundro: My kids LOVE this place. The snow ice is a unique dessert and well worth the trip. They have great boba too with lots of flavors to choose from. It tends to be quiet and not too crowded like some of the other places in the area - a real hidden gem.

Kallen Tu: Lots of interesting flavors if you are craving bingsu. We ended up getting a regular strawberry cheesecake shaved ice for 2 people. It was a good serving. The ice at the bottom seems very compact and not like typical shaved ice. The ice at the top looked a lot like mozzarella cheese, but tasted good all the same.

Kakigori dessert cafe: what do users think?

Kelly Lane Essmeier: Lucky find. Looking for soft serve and found senbei! I have not had it before, so I can't compare, but I can tell you what we ate was absolutely delicious. We all tried a cheesecake version which contains fresh fruit, cheesecake, and shaved ice with milk.I will return so I can try the watermelon, the mango, sticky rice and what is lava toast!!!Also, PLANTS!

Devan Esslinger: Good variety of interesting plants for sale. Very delicious cookie and an even better mango cheescake shaved ice. Will definitely be coming back for plants and snacks.

Drew Gill: , take the leap. It's frickin amazingI will say it's kinda pricey though

Wan Wan L.: Very cute and modern dessert shop. They have live plants inside for sale and neat looking chairs with bicycle pedals on them. The presentation of the bingsus is a 10/10. The iced animals on top of each bingsu is super cute. The bingsus themselves were not super sweet. The sesame bingsu came with red bean paste along with mochi balls. We ordered the sesame, match green tea, and chocolate malt & Oreo bingsus. They were all very good and refreshing. And you do not feel full after having a bingsu here.

Dan: 2nd best shaved ice in Seattle area.

Luis Puente: Love the Thai tea. Beautiful place. Great location. They even sell the most beautiful plants in there!!! Absolutely loved it!

Gio Mojica: Delicious pastries and Boba. This place is always busy. I’m glad I went when it was slow. The staff was cold maybe a bad morning for them 🤷🏽‍♂️😬

Pratyusha Das: Awesome desert place. If you like asian deserts and beverages, I will definitely recommend this place. Best part of all the desserts is that they are not tooo sweet. We tried the tiger sugar boba tea and coconut dessert.. very good😀

Mari Kim: Opens at 1pm. Worth the wait: we hung out at Phantom Quartz up the street while we waited. We walked out with three pieces of cake: cookies and cream, chocolate truffle, and the irresistible birthday cake. Best part? Cream cheese icing. Not too sweet with a slight tang, and creamy rich.Parking: Busy intersection, hard to find parking. Walking is very option.

Jeff Nakatsu: and I prefer Simply Desserts. Different but still great 👍🏼

Prateek Sharma: Had a slice of the "Strawberry White Chocolate Cake", which is one of their popular flavors. It tasted nice overall. The cake wasn't overly sweet, strawberries were fresh. The frosting could have been lighter. Overall a nice grab if you're in the area.
