We got our puppy last summer and she unfortunately broke her leg towards the end of the summer about 1 month before I was starting a new job. As my job start date approached and we were looking for someone to watch our pup, we learned about Max and John of Mr. Pups. When Max and John came over to meet our pup, they were so gentle and patient with her, we knew they would take care of her in her delicate state. Once she got her cast off and could start going on walks, Max was extremely diligent and perceptive about her needs. I remember one day he was worried that she was possibly limping a bit more during their walk so he brought her back early and insisted we pay him a discounted rate for the walk since it was shortened. How sweet and thoughtful can you get?? We have been using their services for over a year now and have continually been impressed by how kind, thoughtful, responsive, dependable and overall just fun to talk to these 2 are! I could not recommend their services enough, they will take amazing care of your pets!

Tristan Eddy: Mr. Pups is incredible! My super shy pup was really skittish around guys but she quickly warmed up to John and Max. Now she whines in excitement when they come to the door. It's a miracle! I swear that these guys are dog whisperers. I've seen them at the park with their groups and they have this incredible way of managing the dogs and making sure that each is being looked after and enjoying their time. Also, talk about dependability! Max is always right on time and is super flexible if something comes up in my schedule. So personable, kind, and without question, a dog person that I trust a million percent with our little guy.The place itself is cute! A little house that has been converted so there is an indoor play area, an indoor quiet space for the pups to take snoozes, and a hallway for grooming that goes out to the backyard. What’s amazing, is that there is zero smell!!! Other daycares we have been to have had horrible smells and one we have stopped going to because our dog would come home smelling like urine.At Jake’s all the pups go potty outside. I was horrified when I heard that Higgins went inside his first day, but they couldn’t have been nicer about it and they let me know as any responsible dog owner would want to be aware. Keo was so kind about it and said it’s not unusual for a first time which was a huge relief!When I dropped Higgins off the next day I was so happy hearing Keo chatting to Higgins before the other dogs came in. I could just tell that he actually cared about my dog and that my dog would be in safe hands.My only regret is that we tried other places instead of going to Jake’s first.Try it. It’s worth it!!!
