Daniel Crowe: Excel Mandarin is definitely one of the more productive classes out there. I was initially unsure about a class over zoom, but it turned out to be convenient and feel natural - thanks of course to talented and experienced teachers as well. I also was hesitant about the price, but now after finishing Q3 I think it was more than worth it. From meeting West-coast people with similar interests, to the wealth of resources that we get to keep, it feels like a good deal. They know what they are doing with sample classes, because I thought "Why not sit in, what have I got to lose?" but was hooked right away.

It's gonna take a lot more learning to become really good but I now know all the foundations of grammar and speaking.The teachers here are AWESOME and the class is a blast plus it keeps you accountable and on track to keep moving forward. I never thought that I'd be able to learn this much at this speed, but the teachers and curriculum are absolutely outstanding. If I could learn other languages using the exact same classroom format and lesson structure, I'm sure I'd hop on those right away as well. Seriously, 20-30 person classrooms have nothing on this! The teachers are extremely friendly and helpful, and do their best to make sure you are learning effectively.If they had a Q4 class, I would surely sign up for it...

Lauren Khoo: It’s been such a fun, enriching, and effective experience to learn mandarin with ExcelMandarin. I’ve just finished the Fluency series of 3 terms. I’m so impressed with the progress I’ve made in a relatively short time and the enjoyment I get out of every class. The instructors care personally about everyone’s goals and progress and they foster a fun class environment. Also, I really liked the relationships and sense of community I gained with fellow students. EM has been a great part of my year. Between the homework and the classes multiple times a week, it is a time commitment, but it’s worth it if you want to learn!

Learning another language can be really challenging and vulnerable, but the teachers truly care about each student and create such a welcoming, fun, and supportive environment. I just finished Q3, and 8 months with EM has made me feel more confident in Chinese than years of schooling in other languages.

Their approach to teaching - focusing on speaking, lots of practice in class, tailored toward what would be most practical for most people - has enabled me to progress faster in learning the language than I would've been able to in other programs. On top of that, my teachers and classmates are funny and enjoyable to spend time with! I'm continuing on to the intermediate conversation class because I'm excited to further improve my speaking fluency and discuss more interesting topics with classmates.

Caleb Lin: were more effective than years of Spanish study through high school. The instructors are uniformly talented and are deeply committed to their students and to the art of language pedagogy. The curriculum is thoughtfully constructed and is concentrated on the most important aspects of oral communication. I managed to handle the coursework while also maintaining a full-time job, and I imagine that if I were able to commit even more of my energy to the classes, my Mandarin would have improved even more. I cannot recommend ExcelMandarin more highly.

Chris LoCasto: I had an awesome experience studying Mandarin at ExcelMandarin. Having just finished up Q3, I'm really happy with the progress I made. All of the homework, articles, and vocabulary tools you get access to provide a solid structure for learning, but the real secret sauce is the instructors! We had Darren and Eco instruct us for Q3 and not only did they explain things really well, they made class a lot of fun to attend. I'm honestly really glad I decided to learn Mandarin here and can't recommend it enough.

Donna Lee: Taking the Q3 classes at EM was the obvious choice for me after learning so much with Q2 and the Q3 session did not disappoint. I felt that my speaking and listening improved so much. It was fun being able to have discussions with the others students, using Chinese in complex sentence structures. The curriculum is well organized and the teachers are amazing. I felt that the individual feedback for the homework and quizzes were so helpful and when I had questions, they always responded so quickly and thoroughly. The Q3 classes were great and definitely pushed my fluency to a higher level.

This was a great learning experience, and I left the class feeling empowered to speak Mandarin in real world scenarios and ready to continue my learning. The classes ultimately focused on expressing thoughts and feelings, and opinions on everyday work, life, and hobbies. The teachers were really great, and I always felt supported in learning at my own pace, with a good push as well!

What really stood out was the professionalism of this company, especially Ryan. Several years after the work was done, I needed to paint a large spot on my wall that was previously painted by Ryan’s company. I couldn’t find the paint color that was used. I contacted Ryan for the information, within less than an hour he sent me via email the exact paint used and it’s color formula. Again, Ryan is the ultimate professional and provides the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Arielle Jendruh: If you’re a parent of littles, this may not be the clinic for you. I struggled out of the house after juggling my newborn and toddler and was set to arrive right on time for my appointment. When something unexpected happened on my route, and Google Maps predicted a 10 minute delay for my commute to the office, I gave them a courtesy call to let them know. I had already been driving for 45 minutes with my newborn in tow, and they cancelled my appointment because another patient’s appointment was scheduled 10 minutes after mine. I wish I hadn’t given them the courtesy call because they didn’t show the same courtesy back! What a waste of the morning and so much unneeded stress that I now need to repeat later this week. If the appointments are spaced this closely, they should tell all patients to show up 15 minutes before their appointments. I really like Dr. Greene but this was a really frustrating experience, which is making me rethink if it’s the right clinic for me during this season of life.Update:I do want to share that my visit with Dr. Greene and his team later in the week was very pleasant, and I appreciated how he provided me additional consultation beyond the initial purpose of my visit. He offered new strategies for caring for my postpartum skin and he shared that he previously worked as a pediatric dermatologist at Seattle Children’s. I am still frustrated by the earlier problem with traffic causing my appointment to be cancelled, but this is still the best clinic to go to if you want to glow. Another dermatologist I saw at one time mentioned that Dr. Greene is the best in the region.

Benazir Dadayeva: Dr. Greene and entire staff are wonderful. My concerns and questions are always answered unlike all other dermatologists dr.Greene l leaves room for valid concerns and is open to discussion altering plans for clearing skin within the comforts of the patient and giving gentle pushs on what he recommends best. I have gotten a wonderful laser treatment for under-eye veins and am in process of clearing post acne scarring.I referred my husband and he too was very pleased that the dr.actually took time with him took culture to establish reason for this scalp breakout and listened to all of his concerns with carefully customized plan of action. For as long as you speak up about ALL your concerns, you should get a wonderful science backed experience.

Caroline Plummer: I saw Dr. Greene today for some skin concerns on my face. He and his entire staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and collaborative patient care. Dr. Greenberg recommended a biopsy to rule out a skin cancer diagnosis, not knowing that their clinic does not accept my insurance. When he found out that they did not accept my insurance, he asked me to come back to his office for a consultation and he spent a considerable amount of time telling me what procedure I may need and gave me names of Dermatologists he trusts to do a specialized procedure, and who may take my insurance. Certainly above and beyond. I highly recommend Dr. Greenberg. He truly cares about his patients.

Chi Trinh: I have been a patient at the clinic since Oct 2022. I first went in for a consultation on acne treatment. Dr. Green was kind and patient in explaining all treatment options to me, and let me make my own decision what treatment I was comfortable with. Fast forward 10 months, my face is clear of acne and my skin actually looks good. I have visited two other dermatologists in seattle but nothing they prescribed for my skin worked, so I am very happy and grateful for the results I attained at this clinic.Now, while Dr. Green and my aesthetician, Amanda, have been really great, I have feedback to give to the front desk team. I was booked to come in at 11AM on a Thursday to get my second microneedling session done. I had to take the morning off from work knowing the appointment would take between one and one and a half hour to get my skin numbed and microneedling done. At 10:50AM, while I was driving to my appointment, I received a call from the clinic that they only scheduled me for an hour and "for some reason" did not account for the time it would take to get my skin numbed. They asked if I already had my skin numbed at home because they had another patient at 12:00PM, and if I did not have my skin numbed, I need to return at 1:00PM to get the procedure done. I obviously couldn't return at 1 since I already took the morning off work and had meetings in the afternoon to attend. I had no numbing cream, received no numbing instructions prior to the appointment, so I was puzzled what led the front desk to make that assumption. Then I made a U-turn and drove back home, wasting an hour driving.I am fully understanding sometimes hiccups happen and no operation can be perfect. However, I could have gotten this call at 10AM that morning, not 10 minutes before the appointment. Now as I recount this story, I don't understand why they were fine with rescheduling my appointment but not the 12:00pm appointment which happened later and the patient probably did not leave their house yet.I just hope they are more respectful of my time.

Surgery went great and I'm planning on hiking this weekend!

Anastasia Tavare: free info sessions to get to know the curriculum and people there. I wasn't disappointed at all. Check out their info session or networking events, even if you don't think you need to attend the classes they offer. Honestly, anyone can get at least something out of any event the GA puts on. Get your learning on and check out an event!!!

Helen Ell Tran: They have free introduction to classes at night time and hosted the Google Sprint here. It was great.
