Regal Thornton Place IMAX & ScreenX: what do users think?

Aaron Hoffman: I just wanted to give this a 5 star review because it makes me sad seeing people rate this theatre 2 and 3 stars due to advertisements before their movies began. People are so self consumed they don't understand how tough the movie theatre industry is and how incredibly difficult it is to be a theatre owner in this day and age. How else do they expect this industry to stay open? While we have streaming taking over, people boasting about the movies they can watch on their fire sticks for free, writer strikes that prevented high grossing films from premiering in theatres, falling stocks, COVID, and bankruptcies. It's been a bloodbath for theatres and I share much sympathy with anyone who owns them. These people want to complain about advertising. That's disgraceful. I hope when I'm old, theatres are still alive and thriving. If they aren't, it'll be the same ones rating you poorly based off the advertisements before the movie began wishing that they were still available to them.

Michael Lysen: and I really enjoy this theater! The seats are nice and comfortable. I love that they still have a few arcade games too!

James C.: Great theater!

Daryl: Good theater overall, just wish they had recliners. Workers are friendly and inviting.

koolaid261: Nice theater great staff ..... Fantastic experience

Andrea Alban: Love the workers and the cleanliness

Andre Segers: and I didn't feel ripped off.The seats were also totally fine, and pretty comfortable. Although there's not a ton of space in front of you, so try to get the first row behind the aisle

Jared Blatter: It was my first time here and I had a great experience! Super impressed with the video and audio quality. I recommend getting there early to find appropriate parking and get your spot as there's no reserved seating.

Doug Sparkes: Best IMAX movie theater. If it's a BIG movie then see it here. 4 stars because you can't reserve seats. For decent seats, get there at least 30 min before the show.

Mario Cristiani 2: Seattle's only physical IMAX screen! Anytime we want to see a movie in IMAX we go to PacSci and it never disappoints. Tickets are reasonably priced at $21 for adults. They sell beer/wine and concessions at reasonable costs with proceeds going to the center and science summer programs. The only real downside is no reserved seating. However, the screen and sound quality are unmatched so it is worth showing up a little early. We end up here a couple times of year and love it every time.

Matt Sidor: Great IMAX screen and picture quality; we saw Dune II and it looked and sounded amazing. Super friendly and helpful staff; I was struck by how consistently positive they all were in their interactions with customers. Concession service is slow but I didn't mind that too much; plan ahead and get in line early for it if you can.

minh doan: I always enjoy coming to this theater, the IMAX screen so beautiful. Color, quality, and audio is super nice. But even guest's services when I call them are super kind, efficient, and resourceful. Have to shout out Sara for helping me out and being delightful. Will be returning and recommending to friends.

Brandon Monson (Brandowizard): Lovely theater, booming loud audio system, and good reminder sign to pull up online tickets before entering the below-ground lobby. Popcorn was decent, nothing great, but definitely expensive. Seats were comfortable with a fair amount of leg room. No parking hosted by the science center, you need to street park or find a parking ramp nearby.

Jac Chambers: Watching Deep Sky made me cry it was so awesome. The sound, the screen: they’re just absolute indescribable experiences. Please go see a movie here; you won’t regret it.

Panos Giannopoulos: This is a great cinema, with huge screens. Probably one of the best in Seattle. Only thing lacking is this cozyness feel.

Matthew Thompson: Awesome chairs and cool employees

Michael Lysen: One of my favorite theaters! I come here all the time and love it! My only complaints is that some of the seats are pretty beat up. I’d also love to see a few arcade games that you could play while waiting for your movie to start

Kristen Jack: We went for a matinee of the 25th Anniversary showing of The Matrix. My 16 year old had never heard of it! We all loved the movie, comfy seats and you can't beat the price!! $5!! 😁😁😁

Marc G: Comfortable seats, plenty of space too.

Beano Trombino: It's like a surreal photo the way this place is laid out but it's fun. Chairs were hella comfy still not all blown out. Movie was awesome. Plenty of room in the aisles and seats. Even had little slide tray tables to hold your drinks and food for you if ya wanted! Awesome location. Most definitely going here again.

Mark Gardner: Great movies with great free deals

Nate H: I’ve never been here, but I have heard good things about it.

Jake Denning: It ain’t the location, facilities, or the prices that earn this location five stars - it’s the staff. The staff here simply rock. My wife and I were traveling through Seattle and had a few hours to kill before hitting Sea-Tac, and they were super accommodating and understanding that we can a couple small bags.

Daniel Oakes: Went to see the league of Ungentlemanly warfare was a pretty good movie.Decent amounts of action. Some good comedy parts.Good movie also the a m c provided good service

Mark Bodine: Place needs a up grade. Been going since they opened it. Taking my kids now. They love it.

Igor Vieira: Not the best or more comfortable seats in the world, but good facilities and location.

Gosha: Seats are pretty bad and the screen could use cleaning

Chanele Latrice: Great crew excellent movies

Herb Stanton: Great place, nice team, and fun movies. Shout out to Drew for the great customer service during a rush.

Moazzamali: Moazzam Ali Faisalabadi

Norberto Aguiar: Love this AMC location! Beautiful and cozy, the staff is very kind and engaging. Love the diversity of employees. I always end up chatting with an employee about movies there. The sound quality was fantastic. I watched Immaculate and was blown away on how satisfying of a horror film it was. My only gripes is they sell no Icee's which is a bummer because there's advertisements for them and wish parking was free or atleast get some sort of discount for movie goers.

Anabel: and no rowdy college kids. Because of the 21+ limitation every single screening I've been to has been so quiet and respectful.

kory lorimer: Super comfortable chairs and a great concessions. For those that drink they have alcohol. While I have children and even grandchildren - children are not allowed which makes for a quiet theater. It’s quaint and has sweet character!

Naomi Koo: Clean, spacious seats. Pretty much all you could want in a theatreBathrooms are a bit further from the seats though, all the way upstairs. Would not recommend peeing during a movie

Lola Flick: I definitely understand the complaints that ppl have had ab this theater. Overall though, it’s a local cool movie theater!! It has rlly good student prices and a cool vibe.

Reed Scheppe: Cold dingy quiet. Perfect

Henry Baker: Best movie theater popcorn

Sophia Garoutte: It’s cute! Lovely little place. Projection is good and sound is also good. Not the best in the city but I think the average moviegoer will not have any issues.

Andie Holcepl: Terrific old school theater with that college town vibe. Great prices.

Max Gillespie: Excellent value for money. You pay for what you get. Got GOTG3 opening night tickets for 10 bucks and the theatre wasn't even full. Seating is comfortable but dirty. Pretty run down, but worth it.

Amanda Heminger: I love this place. The old building really has character. The new employee is WAY nicer than the old one that used to yell at me. New guy is a sweetheart

Dave Johnson: Very old theater with a lot of charm.

joshua Mills: No real butter but the popcorn was good plenty of salt the facility on the overall is on the up-and-up saw cocaine bear there and newest scream movie and palm trees and power lines my brother coincidently trained one of the main characters from that movie in Boston

James Longley: Local place.

Em Steen: Love this small theater! Fair prices. I love coming to this gem!

McRae Naayers: Welcome to Elttaes theaters! I love coming here for movies. The staff is really nice and the seating is so comfortable.I've come here for opening nights, regular watching, sometimes on their discount days as well. The popcorn and drinks are typical movie theatre pricing- a little expensive. It's just a warm and welcoming vibe honestly, I felt like I belonged and was a part of the community when I came here.

Ursula Pfitzer: Sami festival

Andrea Clemens: The coolest movie theater we've ever been to. $6 movie Tuesdays. Only 3 screens so they sell out fast.

Margaret Reed: Friendly staff, comfy seats, good sound. There was a line on the screen I could see sometimes depending on the scene. Diet Coke was superb. Popcorn had pretty good flavor but wasn't really that hot.

licha kelley: It was great to be in a real movie house with such a big screen. The popcorn was delicious. We were 25 again!

Judy G: This is a comfortable and clean venue with a nice staff and excellent popcorn!

Melissa Sanson: Great local cinema with fair ticket/concession prices, friendly staff, and great showings.

Joe Mallahan: Slightly worn down theater with awesome big screens, great movies, and a fun snack bar that includes great local beers.

Maria: One of the last old original theaters in Seattle. The staff keeps it super clean, and stocked with good snacks. And how can you go wrong with SIFF selection of movies? Outside there tends to be a few homeless sleeping but they've never posed a problem. And the theater staff keeps the front sidewalk clean/clear.

Rich G: Great theater, staff, screening selections

Grand Illusion Cinema: what do users think?

Ryan Jasinski: Fantastic find in Seattle! My only regret is not going here sooner! Amazing movie selection you won't find anywhere else.

Ali Mae: Volunteer staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The theatre itself is tiny but mighty and surprisingly comfortable. Never thought I’d love Old Bay on popcorn but goodness their popcorn sprinkle selection is top notch. Excited to drop in for another 16mm double feature event soon.

Alex Barnaby-Brown: lots of parking, and the chairs are super comfy

Hestia Davis: Amazing atmosphere, amazing people.

Justin Rollo: Amazing little theater with super friendly staff and comfy seats. Only about 50 seats though, so I’d recommend buying tickets ahead of time. So far I’ve seen two films here, and I plan to keep coming back.

Abel Ramos: Excellent !!!!!

Jessica Bonifas: Very cool small independent cinema that plays movies on film!

Finu Lukose: Very intimate indie theater. Pretty consistently has interesting programming so check their web presence for offerings. The signs showing you where the physical theater are might be easy to miss.

Tom Drake: on FILM ever again and this place did that for me. Thanks so much volunteers!

Daniel Nelson: IYKYK The Grand Illusion Cinema is the best place to catch a movie in Seattle. 100% volunteer run. One of the last places that still runs film in Seattle.

Admiral Theater: what do users think?

Russell Brown: It has been awhile. Do you still have a balcony and ultra violet lights sterilizing the restroom toilet seats? Attended the Admiral theatre starting during WWII, but moved east in 1968. Very upscale then and looks even better now. Lovely usheretts; "Hubba-Hubba ding-ding, baby you got everything." Smooth talk in 1947.

Devan B: I love supporting this theater! It’s well kept, clean and the screens are pretty darn decent still as well as the seats. GET POPCORN, best popcorn I’ve ever had, hard to explain, maybe a nutty flavor but just don’t fill it with the butter from the self serve spots, it’s gotta be from the service counter.

Ania B: The best movie theater in west seattle! Well, it may be the only one but it's the most fun to go to - STYLE, tasty popcorn, great movie selection!

Cameron Skaggs: Cute, historic theater with a boat-like theme. It has four screens showing the latest releases. Chairs were plenty comfortable - for newer movies on busy days, get there earlier as it's open seating. Good snacks and friendly staff. Would definitely return!

Leah B: I live about three blocks away from this movie theater but for some reason I’ve never attended a movie until now. I feel so lucky to know that anytime I want to watch a new film I’ll be able to go here instead of one of the bigger theaters. Being that this theater is within walking distance of my home, I might be biased however it was better than I expected. Virtually no line and great seat selection. Also, this was the first movie theater. I’ve been in outside of IMAX that has well upholstered reclining chairs. Staff specifically Sam was very kind and helpful. I’ll be coming instead of typical theaters.

John Nye: Great independent movie theater. It's not an AMC, but it's so much better. Check out the current movies being shown and check it out with your choice. You will enjoy it.

Scott Griggs: Good current movie selections beautiful atmosphere

julianna p: great owner, not so great employees

Michael Lysen: Great place to see a movie that won’t break the bank

K.: Adorable neighborhood theater! Clean and great snacks

Kelly Malloy: Danny the manager and the crew are so great! I hosted a party and Danny was so helpful. We are so lucky to have our own local theatre and the big hits!

Arrow Mae: Charming old theatre

Central Cinema: what do users think?

Matt Hainje: This was my visit. I love the mix of the movie and delicious food and drinks. And it was all at a very reasonable price. I'm looking forward to returning.

Rhiley Allbee: Love coming here for drinks/snacks and a movie. We haven't eaten dinner here before, but may try in the future. Love their popcorn with brewer's yeast, cardamon sodas, and seasonal fruit crisp. Great date night location.

Afsaneh Vaez: Always a splendid time

Rasha Tobia: Love this place! It's fun, the food and drink options are great, and the movie selection is amazing. The only thing you consider is due to how the seats are spaced out, it's difficult for larger groups to be close together. Perfect for groups of four or less though if everyone wants to sit together.

Matt Perrone: Central Cinema is a movie theater in the Central District of Seattle. It's known for having food and beverages delivered to your seats while having a higher experience than a normal theater. Seating is almost bar style instead of lounge chairs and they usually have intermission. There are lots of movies they play with lots of events for older movies as well. The staff here are always great, and they have a good sized menu with prices that aren't that crazy. We love coming here and been doing so for years so I highly recommend coming here for a date night or with friends if you can.

China Shi: Wow the dinner was delicious and the movie Moulin Rouge made Valentine's Day perfect. I highly recommend going there for a great movie and dinner.

ben jelinek: and it was fantastic. The theatre was quite full

Jess Makler: I love this place. Just moved to Seattle, and the staff here made it instantly feel like home. Such great people and such cool movies and workshops.

tovvaar: Great theater. It has 2 small projection rooms. Plenty drink variety and popcorn 🍿!

Brandon Vasquez (B for Business): Loved the atmosphere, the film, metropolis was amazing. Loved the building and the cameras around. Only bad thing, started 25 minutes late, that wasn't very neat, overall good experience!

George Howe: We went to the first session of Chris Julain's workshop on film scoring. He is wise and funny. A true mind on the subject. My partner and I had a lot of fun.

Ark Lodge Cinemas: what do users think?

John Risdon: Ive fallen in love with this wonderful little theater. Super awesome and hope it stays forever.

Robin King: I recently went to see a show here and was super impressed with this local gem! I appreciated the selection of films for a small venue, and the concessions were a great variety - appreciated the kids and adult options as well as highlighting local options. Seats were comfy and sound was great - also with the small theater, great view! The murals and architecture made it feel like a fun experience offering something special compared to sterile big box theaters. We then had a private viewing here and everyone who came had such a great time - I wish I would have thought of this earlier! I really appreciated the accommodations to make it a special event and would highly recommend as a great option for a private viewing as well. Great celebration of a small local business!

Richard: Cute private showing for a friends birthday party.

geofre: Ark Lodge is my new favorite place to see films in the neighborhood. I love not having to drive to South Center. I wish I would have discovered it sooner. I saw Godzilla minus one and Poor things here. I'm not sure if the popcorn has real butter which would make it amazing like Landmark Theaters used to have in like central cinema has. But they do have a lot of awesome drink choices like Jones Soda and hard cider. The Prestige theater is so comfy and the house theater is just as big as any mall theater which surprised me that it was hidden away in this historic building.

James: Great local theater we should all be a part of to show our community love! They put shows together that you can’t find at the corporate joints, thanks Ark Lodge!

Magaly VP: Loved this place so cute and so happy it’s around! They have a fun concession stand, merch and all the charm. Will definitely be coming back and was overall so happy with everything. I believe it might be street parking only but just arrive early or park at the Walgreens across the street if it’s later on in the evening. Wish I got pictures of the inside but will for sure be back so can do then 🏼

Brielle Rutledge: I love this cinema! I used to live over here and would come more often but I still try to make it out when I can.Always the sweetest folks working and the films that they play are always super curated and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve found some of my new favorite films through this cinema. They are doing great work. 🤘

Steven A: My go to spot for zany/avant guard films that you won’t see anywhere else. The owner’s/staff’s passion for movies is palpable. For better or worse, they always have an intro to the film. Popular films often sell out so buy your tickets ahead!

Landmark's Crest Cinema Center: what do users think?

Alexa Severtsen: Great value theatre! Seats are comfortable and screen is easy to view above those in front of you. $9 for a ticket is a steal compared to other theaters in the area. Popcorn is pricey, $9.40 for a small is high. Would do better to offer $7 for a small and $12 for a large. Parking is also free and short walking distance to front door! Highly recommend if you like that small town theatre vibe.

Chris Rupp: Love this place. Great local theatre vibes, but still a legit movie theatre. Love the ticket prices; can't find those anywhere else these days. I hope to support this place with continued patronage until the end of the earth, 'cause it's a gem.

Dee Gee: Such a great little theater! While it's low frills, it has lots of charm. This theater is older and smaller than others, but it's also cheaper, significantly less crowded and still provides a fantastic movie watching experience. The guest services team members were so friendly, helpful and engaging. As someone who has had many customer service and retail jobs over the years, you can tell when we legitimately enjoy working at a place and I got that vibe here. The venue was clean and maintained. There are dedicated parking spaces on the lot, but not a ton. However, there's ample street parking. We saw the new Dune sequel on the Friday night after it just released and were able to park in the lot. The individual theaters are fairly small, but we were still able to have our pick of great seats. The audio/visual quality was perfect too!My favorite thing about this theater is its refreshment offerings! They serve beer and wine that you can take into the movie, the butter they use for the popcorn is REAL, MELTED BUTTER, and there's a wall of candy dispensers where you can mix your faves and purchase by weight! The next movie you see, go see it at Crest Cinema!

Oz Ragland: Small arts oriented theater with a real small theater charm. Landmark is an awesome company that has brought many a fine film as well as plenty of stinkers, just what we need... Choices!

Tucker Thomas: Cool theatre. Kinda trippy and creepy. Feels like you traveled back in time to the 70s. I don't think they've updated the interior at all. Seats and screens were newer and comfy. Would give them a 5 but they wouldn't sell me a beer after our movie had started. Maybe they were closed out or something, they didn't say why but I was trying to give them money you know?

James Kang: Very clean and staff extremely friendly highly recommend!

janet chatwin: Best Popcorn and price in Seattle

Francisco Outhet: So happy this old girl is still goin'!OK to be patient, as they're running with fewer staff...

Liz White: been going here for years. great theater.

David Bechtel: This place has charm in spades. Cinema is the proper word for a place like this, not movie theater. My only gripe is the seats as they are not very wide and the arms are fixed. I recognize this may only be a problem for larger folks like me.There also seems to be irregular spacing of the rows. We noticed that the seats we wanted were significantly shorter on leg room than the ones above and below it. We tried to sit in them but we could not move at all without bumping the people in front of us. So, we moved down one row and had MUCH more leg room. A minor gripe, but one that was quite odd.

Robin Duong: Very friendly box office, they answered my request right away. Located in a cozy spot near Greenlake Park.

Patricia King: A Die Hard Christmas was a total blast! Cast and production were great...laughed so hard our faces hurt. Thanks SPT!

Wendelin D: Great little theater 😁

Kanisha Alexander: Great place to park to walk the lake.

Kelley Martin: What a wonderful local Gem!! My Husband and I are brand new to Seattle, and are enjoying getting to know our local area. We actually rode our bikes to the theater, and not realizing the bike parking situation, Ms. Woolery allowed us to park them in the protected beer garden area. She was so lovely to do so!! And we had a fantastic time! The Die Hard Christmas was hilarious! And the team and staff were phenomenal! We'll be back!

M W: Great show! Fun little theatre

Connor Garrett: very cozy theater… would watch anything here

Jody Dahl: I've lived in Seattle for 30 years and i had never been to this little gem. The theater itself is tiny and seats are packed pretty tightly. So we masked up... We saw 'A Very Die Hard Christmas' and it was more than entertaining! A lot of 80's references, which I caught by my younger friends didn't... but they still loved it. Will definitely come back.

Hannibal Person: Really fantastic performance space with comfortable seating, adjacent parking, and plenty of nearby restaurants to grab a bite before after the show.

Kaylee Petersen: but the view was so nice. The people working the opening were very friendly. I purchases a cookie but they also had alcoholic beverages to be enjoyed. Not a lot of space for people waiting to get to their seats. It's a small but fun theater and the cast did an amazing job on thr show. Everyone was wonderful and I would definitely go back. Don't forget to donate! They deserve it!

Robin Hanetho: It was so much fun, we saw a Die Hard Christmas. It was interactive and awesome

Nate Murillo-Oaks: Great performances! Talented cast!
