Gabel's Custom Refinishing & Upholstery: what do users think?

Aleksandar: Easy communication, fast and efficient, did great job on fixing small tear on the inseam on a sectional.

Dina Alhadeff: Beautiful and Thoughtful Work. Pure Craftsmanship.Sent our old rattan sofa and chairs to Gabel’s. David and his crew gave me options throughout the process and as you can see in the photos, transformed garage sale pieces to their original beauty. You can’t buy furniture like this and Gabel’s knows how to restore product to better than new. Working with Del Webber, they did an absolutely wonderful job. Great group to work with and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Thank you Dave, Del and Gabel’s group - just gorgeous!!

Miranda O: Gabel's took my great grandfather's handmade cedar chest from basically kindling back to a family heirloom. They listened to how I wished it to be restored and really delivered! Definitely recommend.

Nancy Passe: Great quality of workmanship. Completed on expected time frame. Dave and Chris were pleasant and helpful.

JDS Boston: Consistently excellent service

Alex Sargeant: Very high quality of work. Months long backlog.

David Padgett: Very helpful and professional company

James Meline: Awesome people. Would recommend for any furniture repair or refinish.

Heather Stephens: . I am so incredibly pleased and grateful. And I love the team there. The care, attention to detail, and dedication to craft shine through. And the people are simply really good humans, people you'd like to gather with around a campfire and just be. Kudos to you!

Ruth Emerson: My mom first started taking things to Gabel's for refinishing and/or re-covering, and now I use them as well. Flawless workmanship, very careful and reliable. Typically I am surprised by how great the items look, never thought they could be revived like that. Worth every penny.

Ceasar Marroquin: My dad works here so I think it's a cool place and the people working there are really nice

Susan McCloud: Gabel's does refinishing and upholstery with great care. They do a lot of antiques, and do them beautifully.

Jill Marotta: I bought a beautiful but tired dresser from Ballard Reuse. Gabel’s did an amazing job bringing it back to life. They were so easy to work with and repaired the top board which had split. It is glorious! Thank you!

Plum Studio: what do users think?

Zeb Burke-Conte: . An adventure!

Richard Baxendale: Robbie is a master craftsman. The fretwork on our 2 DR chairs was broken. He restored them to their original new condition. Very fair pricing. Don't be put off by the dicey back ally to his shop or the scruffy shop itself. Will be bringing him some new items to repair without hesitation knowing they will be treated well.

Mary Eileen Hood: Robbie just repaired our beloved MCM dinning room table and chairs, after 20 years of use and kids there was some damage. He did a fantastic job, the repair work and restoration of the original finish is seamless - we couldn't be happier and would highly recommend his work to everyone who will listen. It is fantastic he is so close by, please consider using his services, Seattle needs support and keep craftsmen like Robbie.

G M: Had a small job done. He was able to take care of it in 15 minutes. I appreciated his efficiency.

kathleen taylor: Robbie, the owner of Plum Studio furniture restoration, just finished another great job for me. He repaired two beautiful old, cherry dining chairs that had come apart from much age and use. Robbie knows his craft, and it shows in the results. His studio is down an alley just west of Eastlake. There is an inconspicuous sign at the alley. Try him! It’s great to have such skilled craftspeople in the neighborhood.

chloe hamilton: Robbie did a great job repairing my couch frame at a great price. Highly recommend!

Deborah Hamby: Excellent experience. Came in under the estimate and on time. You’ll enjoy getting to know Robbie.

Ruth Fruland: Thank you, Robert!

gmsdistribution: Bobby is GREAT!! Very knowledgeable! He blew me away and told me my cabinet was probably made in Michigan before I told him I bought it in northern Indiana. He was able to fix the doors and they work good as new. VERY IMPRESSED!! 10 STARS!

Cullen MacKintosh: Did a great job repairing my wife's antique bed frame and an old table of my dad's, both at a reasonable price. Also had good advice for maintenance.

Debra Samson: Robert Bumpus is a artist, a craftsman and a genius. I brought a pair of chairs to him that no one else would touch. The wood was disintegrating and sections of veneer were missing, but they belonged to my husband's grandmother and I wanted them restored. He worked painstakingly and resurrected them, restoring their beauty as well as their integrity. I cannot overstate the quality of his work and how deeply he cares about doing a good job. Bravo, Robbie!

Lesley Hazleton: . It's where serious, loving work gets done.My Thonet chair -- my favorite one, however beaten-up -- had made a couple of ominous cracking noises, so I brought it in for an assessment, thinking it would need at least some kind of bracing if not a far more expensive repair.Robert gave it a through examination, showed me where the problem was

Brad Bebee: We recently moved across country and a late 19th century oak wall bed that had been heavily damaged in the move. Plum Studio did a great job of repairing, reassembling, and restoring it. We would highly recommend them and would use Plum Studio again. Before and after pictures are below.

Adam Le Doux: I bought an antique wooden stool that turned out to be too tall for my table. Plum Studio did the alteration quickly and well! The studio is slightly hidden so make sure to visit the website or call ahead for directions. Also it's best to bring cash if you can. I'd go there again if I need any future furniture repairs or alterations.

James Patterson: Our dog had badly scratched our mahogany closet doors. We thought we would have to have them completely refinished. Plum Studios was able to work out the scratches and restain the damaged portion without refinishing the whole doors, saving us a lot of time and money. We were very pleased with the work.

Eidem Upholstery, LLC: what do users think?

Bo: Friendly people. They gave me a free ride home with a brand new cushion at a great price. Highly recommend.

John Donaldson: Used online reviews to select Eiden to recover the cushions to my Morris chair. I’m extremely satisfied with the results and top notch quality of there work, we’ll definitely use them again.

Linh Nguyen: Amazing work for the most reasonable price in Seattle. I brought in my tufted cushion to be repaired. He fixed in on the spot with efficiency and professionalism. I highly recommend Eidem Upholstery.

Jan Swanson: After 2 failed attempts from an online cushion maker, I went to Eidem’s and could not have been happier. I had a sofa cushion replaced and Ed did a great job… it fits like a glove! It’s hard to match the shade of leather but it came very very close. Go local!!

Kelly Mabry: I loved working with Howard and his team. He and the Eidem crew are friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for my small, custom upholstery needs. The quality of work is outstanding! It was a genuinely fun experience to visit the shop and meet everyone at Eidem. Howard was great at recommending finish details for my custom furniture piece and was very knowledgeable when it came to picking out the right type of fabric for my piece. Outstanding work all around. The finished piece is flawless. I’d highly recommend Eidem Upholstery.

Kenneth Castillo: Brought our recliner in for a reclining mechanism repair and it was finished in 15 min. while we waited. Excellent, experienced and professional craftsman at a better than average rate!!!

David Bowman: It is a very busy place.

Jonathan Mathews: GREAT UPHOLSTERY WORKSHOP FOR MY INTERIOR DESIGN CLIENTS. NICE CREW AND GREAT LEADTIMES ON ORDERS.

Eric Robinson: The job would require literally 2x as much fabric as what Howard told me, 2

Jeff Johnson: howard, since your the best in the bidness. I am going to give you a 1885 sewing machine. Great show piece, or run it. Thanks for all the greatest times and bidness wid yall. Yer no 1 in the upolstery bidness.

Ebanista School of Fine Woodworking: what do users think?

Joe Weber: I took the Beginning I course with Jonathan and I could not be happier with choosing Ebanista. Jonathan is a wealth of knowledge, passionate about woodworking and is approachable to inquiry. We had a class with a wide range of skill levels and Jonathan was able to meet each person where they were at. He was encouraging, friendly and fostered a positive learning environment. I highly recommend Ebanista for advancing your woodworking knowledge.

Steven Sirianni: Just finished the Beginnings 1 class and it was such a great investment. Jonathan was an amazing instructor. Incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. The class was incredibly well paced and we learned about so much more than just how to complete our project. Jonathan is a wealth of knowledge regarding how to tell which tools are worth the investment, what to look for in difference pieces of wood, and how to improve your skills quickly. I already signed up for Beginnings 2 and I wholeheartedly recommend Ebanista to anyone who wants to learn more about woodworking.

david crutcher: I just finished the beginnings I class and I am currently signed up for three more classes. it is a pleasure learning from Jonathan. and i am looking forward to the next three classes.

Alexa Patnode: . Jonathan’s passion was contagious. Already itching to come back for more!

Ian Jurgensen: This school is just great. I've taken a couple of workshops, and finally took my first full class, box making. I'm no stranger to a woodshop, but this really challenged me to slow down and work with purpose... and the end result was just phenomenal. Jonathon is a great teacher, not only on skill, but safety, and design. I'll def be taking more classes in the future.

Caroline: Ebanista offers great classes for those interested in learning about woodworking, how to use common woodshop tools, including hand tools, sharpening, and finishing. The beginner I class is taught by Jonathan who is extremely knowledgeable. Use of tools is supervised so that students feel safe as they build confidence. I've already signed up for beginner II and other workshop classes.

Yang He: I took the beginner class and it turns out to be a wonderful experience! I really enjoyed the peacefulness that woodworking brought to me. Jonathan is an awesome mentor and taught us so much more than just how to build the tray. Looking forward to the next class I’ve signed up!

Katie Accomazzo: I really enjoyed this class. I’m he emphasis on safety and quality. My first project turned out really well! I’ve already signed up for additional classes.

B P: Before joining the class at Ebanista, I had 3 years of woodworking experience, mainly with power tools. Jonathan allowed me to start from the Beginning II class. Both Jonathan and our class teacher Ross Day are super duper experienced and passionate about woodworking. We have 4-5 students in the class. So we all have sufficient time to communicate 1:1 with our teacher. We made a mitered box with a frame and panel lid in this class. Although I have made several types of boxes before, I did learn a lot during the class, from recognizing and handling grain direction, to resawing to make a bookmatch pattern, to fine tuning dimensions with planning and much more. This is an invaluable experience of learning hands-on techs and tips from master woodworkers. I'll definitely join more classes at Ebanista.

Lucia Fernandez: My experience with Ebanista is one I will value and carry with me as I continue the woodworking journey. I found the instruction comprehensive, but in a fluid and casual way that allowed plenty of room for questions and understanding the foundational principles, while applying them in practical ways. The practical knowledge taught is only one aspect of the more holistic approach towards what it means to work with wood and express its inherent beauty. All in all - classes are an awesome, rewarding experience for those seeking in-depth understanding.

Kaveh Noorbakhsh: class sizes. Overall, you get a sense that the goal of the school is not just to get people to pay for classes, but to find people for the teachers to hand down their knowledge. If you can find the time and money to takes classes here, do it, you won't regret it.

K Campbell: The 6 weeks that I spend taking the Beginner 2 class were the best six weeks of my year so far and learning under Johnathan was a terrific experience that reignited a dormant love for woodworking. One of the best things about this school is how much the instructors care about making sure that you are developing skills THROUGHOUT the process of building a project. What you build is not the end in itself but the vehicle through which you build and hone your skills as a woodworker. These are the best possible conditions whereby I can learn and apply that learning to future projects.I have nothing but great things to say and I'm looking forward to the future classes that I've already registered for as well as any new ones that pop up on the calendar.Sign up before it's too late or you'll miss out!

Carolyn Silk: A great comprehensive and fun introduction to fine woodworking. Beautifully equipped shop and smart experienced instructor. Opportunity to appreciate the nature and qualities of wood, learn techniques and become comfortable working with a wide range of power and hand tools. Already looking forward to the next class!

Jake Farley: I’ve taken two classes at Ebanista now and can’t wait to get to number 3. Every class is packed with work and valuable information, and the results speak for themselves

Alejandro Lobo: I took the Beginnings I class and it was a great experience. The professor Jonathan is very knowledgeable and the classes went by so fast. The class project is well thought to introduce beginners to different tools and techniques.

Keegan Wiltshire: I just finished a few weekend workshops and the beginners 1. While I eagerly wait for beginners 2 to start I’ll take this time to sharpen my tools, reflect on what I’ve learned so far and read some of the recommended books they have available for checkout. I feel honored to be able to learn and be taught by such masters of their craft and teachers who love what they do.

Jay Lee: Jonathan was an amazingly patient, knowledgeable, and funny teacher. First time I've worked with wood and power tools, but under his supervision I felt safe and confident.

RH Seattle | The Gallery at University Village: what do users think?

CARMEN THUNDER: I absolutely love this store. I have been coming here since they opened and it always a high end experience. My favorite is the cloud sofa.

Lauren Spears: We ordered the Oslo Open Dining Table and it was too small for our space so I called RH to swap for the larger option and they immediately assisted! Game changer! The customer service is IMPECCABLE! We also ordered dining chairs, an 8x10 and 9x10 rug and love it all, very high quality products, a smooth and professional delivery process and The RH Gallery in Seattle is so nice it gave us a lot of inspiration for our own home! Highly recommend this place, the customer service is second to none. Thank you!

Cynthia: Fine well-made furniture.

Christopher Pxttx: Wow! Not much more be said.

Patricia Graf: Beautiful modern design with each room that was displayed

David L: Beautiful store. Almost intimidating since it is incredibly large inside with high ceilings.

Luis Puente: Beautiful furniture and the store has a great view of the Gallery

Jane Lu: Beautiful showroom, great for getting ideas and inspiration. Like others said though, the staff is standoffish and dismissive. Not very welcoming.

avi wylen: Extremely expensive unless your super rich you cant buy anything

Ludovicus de Soncoeur: Everything looks the same. This place would make an excellent apartment though. This store is for people who swear there's a difference between beige and beige.
