C. Stein: Huge variety of materials for you to make your own jewelry. From gemstones to Swarovski and everything in between. Even if you want to replicate something you saw on Pinterest, bring the photo in and one of the incredibly friendly and helpful employees will guide you on what you need and how to do it. If you need help with a project, bring it into the store and you can craft it there with some assistance. Most of all, they are the most affordable bead store for the quality of the items you get.As a side note, get here early if you plan on making a trip because their parking lot is small and fills up quickly. And because they are nestled in a residential neighborhood, street parking can be limited.

Emily Minnette: An amazing shop! The fabric, patterns, and art supplies are one of a kind. The staff is so helpful and warm. A perfect place to buy a present or find something you can’t find anywhere else.

Rueben Otero: They've got a ton of great fabrics both for apparel and quilting. The apparel could use a bit more variety, but the staff is sweet and helpful and they enjoy my dog in the business. Not a must that i should be able to bring my dog, but it's nice to take a stroll down and pop in.

They're a bit pricey at first glance, but you get a lot of individualized attention and you get to use some of the best sewing machines out there. I love their fabric selection and everyone who works there is so nice! I make the trek to Pioneer Square just for Drygoods Design.

I decided push needle might be a fun way to express myself and a friend recommended Drygoods Design. My friend was spot on. I left with the materials I needed and the info to get started. The store was clean and we'll laid out. It was my first time shopping for these supplies so I'm not sure how there prices are compared to other shops. I knew I could find everything online for less but I love to shop local when I can and I want to talk to a human about the craft. I totally recommend this place. They're downtown, for me that was a huge plus.
Kreator Kiki: Lots of good products here. Fabrics and trims high quality, but really pricey. Maybe everythings a bit overpriced, but clean atmosphere and kind people.
Vahishta Vafadari: Great place for sewing classes, as well as materials. The people who work there are very helpful when it comes to getting started or picking a project. Lily: Did the 3 hour private lesson for my husband’s birthday and it was a blast! We loved the Netflix show Blown Away and wanted to try it out for ourselves. Our instructor Darrien was super informative and patient, and helped us make 5 custom pieces. He even made us a beautiful wavy bowl at the end! The front staff were also very friendly and accommodating. We have a newfound appreciation for the art of glassblowing!

Briar Rose: The environment was very inviting upon entering the store/shop. Staff were kind and open to discussion while I was waiting for my time to start on a two hour private lesson. They explained everything in detail from safety and use of the different tools to how to handle each piece. They did step by step on how long to keep the piece in the furnace and when to bring it out. The shaping of the pieces was done by the instructor, but I was still able to help during some of those points. Such a great experience and I do plan to come back when I can to do another piece.

Edgar was the artist that assisted us and did a great job, he’s super chill. We made 2 pieces and can’t wait to go back now that we have the hang of it. Her shop in Renton, the Seattle area, is awesome for shopping for fabric, crafts, and all of your sewing needs. Amita Siddiqui: Super cute place to take craft lessons. Lots of fun stuff in the store to just browse too. My daughter and I took a pairing class which we loved. It was short, easy and just the right activity for a rainy Seattle evening. Beats kids staring at a screen. You get to use your hands, be creative, and with no pressure for fixed results. Can’t wait to try their embroidery, resin art and other classes too.

Miranda Bradley: This store is such a joy. The products are a lot of fun and the classes are fantastic. They do their reward points in "butts" so you get to say fun things like "I'd like to redeem some butts, please." It's the perfect spot for fun gifts, stickers, crafts and a cozy sweatshirt or pair of socks.
Holly Chan: Monster has always been my go-to spot when shopping for unique and delightful gifts for loved ones in my life, and it’s the first place I recommend to others! Love cats? Nerdy stuff? Plants? Space? Quirky humor? There’s something for everyone here, curated from small diverse businesses across the country. It’s also from this shop that I’ve learned of new artists and small businesses, and for that I’ll always be grateful.The staff are always welcoming and friendly as soon as you walk in. Sometimes if you’re looking for something specific they’ll go on the hunt through all the options with you, or sometimes if something sparks joy you’ll end up gushing with them about it for ten minutes. I haven’t had a chance to try out their crafting classes yet, but I’ve been meaning to, especially if it means getting to hang out within the great vibes of this treasure trove of a store.

Laura Hall: I loved the beginner's jewelry making class this past weekend! We finished a copper brooch and silver, jeweled pendant. I really wasn't excited about the brooch but I see now why we did it-- learned a lot and made the pendant much easier. Dana is a hoot and a wonderful, patient teacher. Will absolutely be going back for further classes!

They offer classes ranging from Beginning to specialty classes like wax-carving and fold-forming. They also have one of the most awesome jewelry collections in town.

The culture is super friendly all of the students walking around to see each others work looking for inspiration and being super positive and supportive. All of the tools are clean and well maintained and up to date, and the same can be said for the work space. Dana is probably the most delightful person you could ever work with on a project one on one, I loved her humor. You will have a great time here!
