Medgar Evers Pool: what do users think?

SRUTHI NAGALLA: It has everything and is inexpensive.. I love how the swim coaches are willing to help you get better. I made use of the coaching hour, which is FREE, to improve my strokes.

Maggie Vinyard: Great pool - lap swim mid-day is usually active but not crowded. Lovely sauna included with visit free as well.

Sheen Hunter (#SheenTV! #SeattleFreeze): This place is the best haunted pool in all of Washington State. A great place to swim if you can get pastthe door.

Sydney G.: This place feels like a hidden gem. My boys love open swim. The lifeguards are awesome.

Chris Pleg: Great class for kids learning how to swim . And the pool temp is not too hot or cold.

Terry Barksdale: Great place for senior swim and aerobic workout are those of us with tender. A great crew!

Gabe Sandreth: Outstanding lifeguards and facilities

John Michael Yasutake: Hidden gem!!

Troy Kaser: The swim lessons here are great. The instructors are great with the kids.

MX T.: Staff are very friendly, very clean water, I don't smell bleach like other pool. I swim 2-3 times per week. I hope they will open Saturday and Sunday during Fall quarter and long hours during weekdays like Summer quarter. I miss movies on Friday night they offered before Covid.

Cartier Rowlette: Haven't been to Medgar Evers pool since I was a kid, took my grandson for the first time, and he throughly loved it. Will be coming back soon. 💯👍🏿

Queen Anne Pool: what do users think?

Harry: I have seen huge growth in myself since entering the water at Queen Anne Pool One year ago. The pool has transformed me from an awkward swimmer with very little skill to a 50 mile a month aquatic athlete. I greatly appreciate the amazing resource for fitness and health, including their wonderful sauna and the amazing staff all kind, helpful and willing people who really care and work hard to accommodate each and everyone’sNeeds, goals and safety

David Powell: Nice pool for lane swim

Rayna D: Good place

Paul Grandgeorge: Friendly staff and great pool to go do some laps!

Stephanie LaCasse: Get to take the kids swimming. They could use a swimming suit spinner, for drying out the suits when your done.

Chundong Wang: If they provided the hot shower, this would be 5 star! Great location, full size pool!

Geoff Nelson: A bit dated, but works fine for your lap swim. 25-yard pool, 6 lanes, 2 diving boards. Be sure to check the frequently-changing pool schedule before you go.Lessons are quite crowded and can be hit or miss depending on which instructor you child ends up with.

Jorge Vilches: Great staff, and a clean pool!

J.T. Altschull: Love this place. Been swimming here since it opened in 1977.

L L: Nice pool

Kayleah Wheless: Staff is great

Jacob Miner: Great place to bring your kids for swim lessons. They have classes for most age groups, and we started our girl at 10 months.

Megan J. Merritt:

David Harrison: Зимой просторная парковка. Не знаю, будут ли проблемы летом.

Irene S: The staff here are the best! And such an awesome park location! It's okay to park further away in the neighborhood. And there is a nice sauna if you enjoy that like I do!

Ballard Pool: what do users think?

Pepper Harris: When you walk in the chlorine smell is very strong, locker rooms were a little musty not not too bad. Pool itself was fabulous, there was a diving board, a slide and a rope swing. There was a swimming test required to use these water features but it was a simple backstroke across the with of the pool. They also had a very decently sized hot tub.

Lala: Great building and amenities, friendly staff, central location

Carlie Phillips: Basic neighborhood indoor pool. Offers a good range of times for classes, lap swims, and open swim. The hottub/spa is only 2 feet deep. Lockers in bathrooms.

Glady Torres: Such a great family run business! Love supporting them! A great place to learn to swim with views of south lake Union!

elvira castillo: Wonderful instructors. My daughters have loved learning here and I’m amazed by their progress in a short period of time.

Anna Artamonova: It was a really fun experience. I got my lifeguarding certification, and the instructors taught us everything really well and efficiently. Sam was a very informative instructor, and Brian was very helpful during the pool section of the lessons. I learned a lot, and I am very grateful to the staff for teaching us and helping to get my certification!

Jesse Dannenbring: They have done great work helping our child get over their swimming fears, and built up their confidence in the water!

Alicia Lee: 1:1 lesson is really the way to go for kids to learn how to swim. I have 3 boys learning how to swim currently and I love their established curriculum as well as all their instructors who are all very good with kids and teaching them how to swim. I also appreciate their transparent scheduling system and very organized manner that the whole program is ran which can only result from staff who are dedicated and experienced in the business. I plan on getting the boys in the program until they are "swim team ready".

Jenn Lin: The pool is great, just the right temperature. The staff are friendly and helpful. We always have a great time!

Bethany Smoltz: We are so grateful S&S is open during this crazy time. Having a safe, healthy outlet for my son has been truly wonderful. The instructors are amazing. They seem to provide the right level of encouragement to help my son achieve his goals. It's been fun to watch his progression and overall water confidence grow.

C C: Precise individualized instruction and a positive environment.

Kalyan Meola: Friendly people, easy access on public transportation, and a lovely pool!

Seth Nguyen: Staff were super friendly, bathrooms were surprisingly clean which was a plus, shower water was hot and had soap, and the pool itself was pretty spacious with 2 diving boards, a rope, and floaties provided. The place comes with stuff to store small valuables for free and a larger locker for 25 cents, but felt safe enough to just leave my stuff on the bench next to everyone else's belongings. Both people and staff were respectful, and compared to other pools I've been to, the chlorine wasn't an issue/too strong so long as you rinsed before and after in the shower. All in all, a great first experience, surely coming back!

Samena Swim & Recreation Club: what do users think?

Emily L: We just finished a great week of spring break camp at Samena! I'll start with Preschool camp, which my youngest attended and it truly exceeded expectations. My 3-year-old has never been dropped off for preschool or camp so I wasn't sure he would even stay. Ms. Rosie is some kind of Mary Poppins magic, because he had no issues with staying on day 1 and by day 2 was excitedly running down the hall to get to his camp. How he grew so much independence in one week is beyond me, but something special is happening in the preschool room at Samena! The "big kid camp" was a total hit. My kids have been to summer camp so I was pretty sure they would enjoy themselves, and boy did they. Every car ride home at the end of the day was filled with their chatter of everything they had done. I think their biggest take away from the camp, is the friendships. They love the swimming and games so much, but Samena is also a place to foster really good, meaningful relationships between the kids. By Friday I had exchanged phone numbers and emails with several parents so they could all stay in touch. What a memorable week for my kids that seemed to pass far too quickly!

SANJALI KAWAL: I have been with a trainer in Samena and he did amazing help with work outs and tailored my sessions according to my medical needs .Results were amazing . Xavier did amazing job by helping in my training sessions. If I will plan to enroll for training sessions I will prefer Xavier only there .Thanks Xavier

Patricia Schaechter: Welcoming atmosphere and wonderful staff. I mostly use the pools. Right now the outdoor pool is being remodeled but will be in top shape soon. The deep water aerobic class is fabulous—great instructors who really care for the clients. Lifeguards are friendly & professional. The front desk staff are great! Wonderful family recreation center.

Doug Topp: Overall my family has had 26 years of good experience. Samena is currently making a large investment in new concrete flatwork and much needed drainage system upgrade. It looks like it's going to be nice when all done. Much of the gym equipment is seriously dated and when things break such as plumbing valves, swim suite drier, or sauna lights, it typically takes numerous months to get repaired or replaced. Not sure why that is.

Chrissie Chi: I've been doing a series of personal training sessions at Samena, and I'm impressed with the results and the overall experience. This gym has a warm and friendly atmosphere. My personal trainer Xavier was exceptional. He tailor my workouts to my specific fitness goals, and also ensured that each session was challenging and varied, which kept me motivated and engaged. His expertise in technique and form made a significant difference, helping me to see tangible improvements in my strength and endurance over the past year.My only complaint is that the facilities are limited and some of the equipments are out dated. I am hoping they can get some of the newer workout machines as LA fitness has.Overall I highly recommend Samena for anyone looking for professional training environment. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your fitness to the next level, this is the place to be.

Kapil Gupta: I am giving this 5 star review to "Samena Club" primarily because of my experience with the personal trainer Xavier.I have been training with Xavier roughly since Q1 of 2021. At that time I started the personal training session because I was training for a endurance hike. However, even after I completed the hike, I decided to continue with Xavier since it was so good for my health and fitness.Xavier is very knowledgeable regarding the various postures and alignment. For instance, I used to experience regular neck and upper back pain and he added some exercises to my sessions and now that aspect is drastically better. After working with Xavier, my fitness has improved a ton, I am more flexible and my weight training ability has improved dramatically. Xavier knows exactly when to push the client vs. when not to. More importantly I feel good when I have a session with Xavier since he is very encouraging and caring.I intend to continue the sessions with Xavier for a long time and would happily recommend him to other people as well!Kapil

Sadie Whitaker: Элейна на стойке регистрации очень отзывчива. Чрезвычайно качественное обслуживание клиентов. Они — свет на неделе моих детей и превращают занятия по плаванию в радость.

Kirk Mason: This is one of my happy places. The water is perfect and the people working there are awesome.

Peter Makosi: My kids enrolled for swimming classes we are excited great pool nice people

Debi Grace: I attend water aerobics and love the instructors.

Shrikant Prabhu: Love this pool for my kids . No need to book in advance but timings can vary all of sudden so call before you go every time

Lucy Pearce: I’m taking adult swim classes here to improve my technique and learn front crawl. Our teacher Oliver is the best! I had to call out sick tonight and they give you a pass to practice at an open swim session. Wish there were more private changing stalls but that’s a small inconvenience. The water is warm too. The front desk person is lovely. And if you are into the nostalgia of going to a pool as a kid in the 80s, this fulfills that.

Robert Finley: Water aerobics class is nice..Good instructor and great location.

Robin B: Great pool

Roberta Gigi Carr: Did my survival class here. Nice and clean.

Chris Turner: Love the people and the pool. The only problem I have is that when the water exercise instructor is called to fulfill lifeguard duties or is out sick we get to the pool only to find that we need to turn around and go home. It's very frustrating. I don't live near the pool so it's an odyssey to get there. They used to let us stay and do our own water exercise at no charge when there was a problem with the class but the last month if you want to do that they still charge which seems unreasonable to me.

Richie Magpayo: Kiddo taking swim lessons here. He loves it. Old facility but still great with an awesome staff of lifeguards, swim instructors, and helpful reception people.Plenty of parking, clean restrooms.

Raymar Maranon: Nice and clean pool! Staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Johana Warrick: This was the very first place I swam when I was a few months old 22 years ago. I haven't been able to leave the water ever since. There is nothing better than the water. Taco Doctor: Growing up in the Endoline/Fauntleroy neighborhood in the 90's was awesome. All the neighbor kids would come over to my house in the morning and we would put our bikes in the truck and pack in a d my mom would drive us to the top of Lincoln. We would ride along the beach and then spend the whole day here. This is where i learned to swim. Its a nice salt water pool. It completely fried my 9 year old hair from going every day in the summer but that was easy to fix with hair conditioner. When we were done, we'd bike through the park. Eating black berries as we went. We'd eventually end up back on the block. Slowly going home for dinner. Man, i miss those lazy days of endless summer afternoons.

Goldfish Swim School - Redmond: what do users think?

Ally Tasker: Our son is afraid of the water but these teachers are encouraging, don’t push him to tears and very patient!

Delaney Couvrette-Merrick: Awesome swim school for littles! Great facilities and smoothly run program. Classes are fun and helpful.

Nila D: Excellent swim school. Excellent facilities, structured curriculum, small group sizes and well trained coaches, supervisors and lifeguards. Front desk staff is friendly and always willing to help. Both our kids love it here and have progressed well. Its a few months on the waiting list but well worth the wait. We are very happy with our experience here and highly recommend the school.

Karrie Cardiff: Highly recommend gold fish. They've gone out of there way to make my child more comfortable in the water. I have been so impressed with the staff. It's service and dedication I hardly ever see these days. I'm so impressed with them.

Katie Quiniola: and just felt like she wasn't improving. Goldfish has exponentially improved her skills. And for my youngest, unlike other parent/child swim lessons we've participated in where it's mostly just singing and playing, I feel that Goldfish is teaching her actual swimming and safety skills. I also appreciate how the instructors tell us why we're working on the skills they're teaching/how what we're doing is building water safety skills. Goldfish is a more expensive option than some other lessons, but well worth it in my experience for this critical life/safety skill.

Jonathan Harris: Very comfortable pool for children to learn how to swim. Nice warm pool, nice shower, good changing room. Teachers are engaged and active.

Arpitha Swamy: My kids love to go to their classes every week. Initially when we enrolled them in 2022, there were some issues, my kids were accidentally removed from the waitlist but they apologized for their mistake as it was a system error. And has been a great experience so far. Instructor Sean is one of the best, very caring and friendly to the kids

Caitlin Escobar: Wonderful place for kids to learn swimming. We have loved every instructor we've had here and both our daughters are confident swimmers thanks to Goldfish!

SwimGuru: what do users think?

Nicholas Postiglione: I decided to bite the bullet and go all in on Swim Guru. I wish we did this sooner - it is absolutely worth the cost and effort. My kid was terrified of the pool but in 4 weeks of intense 15 minute lessons he is diving under water and doesn't want to get out of the water. Molly and team have a phenomenal program. This isn't high schoolers leading a swim class in their free time. These are professionals who truly know what they are doing and teach kids to respect the water and the danger it presents. To sum it up - you can spend a year at the YMCA floating your kid around the pool and pretending they are learning something or you can do Swim Guru and actually teach your kids how to survive in the water within a few weeks.

Lindsay S: Our 3-year-old daughter went from being terrified of the water to safely swimming. We've worked with both Molly and Hilary as coaches. They are excellent at what they do and artfully balance building confidence and helping kids work through new/uncomfortable experiences in the water.

Vishal Sethia: , and I can confidently say that she's absolutely exceptional. Stef embodies patience and encouragement like no other. She possesses the remarkable ability to understand precisely where you are in your swimming journey and meets you there, making every lesson feel tailor-made.Stef's motivation is truly infectious, driving you to give your best. What sets her apart is the homework she assigns, which proved instrumental in helping me improve significantly. Her teaching style is remarkable, as she breaks down techniques into easily digestible morsels, ensuring you not only understand but can execute them in the water. One thing you can always count on with Stef is her warm smile, which welcomes you every session and immediately puts you at ease. Thanks to her unwavering support and guidance, I went from having a fear of the water on day one to confidently swimming on my own in just eight classes. At 35 years old, it's an accomplishment I never thought possible, and I owe it all to Stef's expertise and encouragement. She's an absolute gem of a swim coach, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to embark on their own aquatic journey.I would also like to thank SwimGuru that made it possible for me to connect with an excellent swim coach and schedule my sessions based on my availability and comfort.

Christopher Sanford: Brenda was an excellent teacher of me as an adult learner. She was patient, positive, pragmatic.August 2023. Just had four lessons--with Hillary, Brenday, Nick. All were helpful, supportive, constructive.

Hana Cho: Just had our first lesson with Hillary. It was wonderful. Little is afraid of her head going into the water but Hillary was so calm and soothing and the first 15 minute lesson was hard but daughter came out being proud she dunked her head in 5 times. Every kid is different but we feel we needed this method for our pandemic kid as we weren't equipped to teach her ourselves and we are so happy with Hillary. Yes, 15 minute lessons are annoying to drive to and from, but I do see how that delivers the max amount of exertion and mental capacity for my kid. Looking forward to the other lessons. Money very well spent!

Eric Stobin: Helen and Emma are excellent swim instructors! It has been so exciting to see my 4 and 6 year old learn how to swim in just a few classes. The instructors, Helen and Emma, are absolutely wonderful. they both are excellent with their communication skills and are able to keep both boys calm when they are scared or are about to cry. both Coach Helen and Coach Emma have a gift for teaching swimming. It feels like a great investment since we feel it is important to teach water safety at a very young age. both boys can float and swim and attend classes at LA Fitness or Underwater Sports, both places very close to each other on Hwy 99. again, I am extremely impressed with their ability, skills and professionalism to provide quality instruction to our kids. Our kids now love both coaches and look forward to swim class twice a week. we are extremely happy with Swim Guru and feel very lucky to have found such excellent instructors who are great at teaching kids the basics of swimming and floating. It's money well spent and we are extremely happy at Swim Guru.

Candice Boley: take 1:1 lessons at Swim Guru since spring 2021, mostly at Underwater Sports, and also the N Seattle LA Fitness

Rory McAuley: Swim Guru has been a great experience for us and our kids! They are 6 and 9 years old and have made so much progress with their coaches Tiegan and Emma at the Mukilteo location. They have developed positive attitudes toward swimming, improved their skills, and are now able to be safe and confident in the water.

Sandy Tseng: Swim Guru is one of those places that one feels happy to discover and lucky that a place like this exists in the area. Living in a city like Seattle, surrounded by water, my husband and I wanted our kids to learn to swim at a young age. Our son's preschool frequents Green Lake, and it gives us peace of mind to know that he has survival swimming skills. He started taking classes in October 2017, and before the holidays, he had already passed a clothing test. Previously, he was terrified of putting his head underwater, and now he is almost ready to snorkel with us in a few weeks! Earlier this month, he went through a brief period of regression when he was suddenly fearful of swimming one day out of the blue. Coach Carol and Coach Brenda did everything in their knowledge and power to address his fear immediately before it became the new normal. Efforts were made to make swimming fun again by bringing toys back into the picture. They stopped working on new skills and went back to basics. They had me get into the pool with him. Since he connected most with Coach Brenda, arrangements were made for him to have Coach Brenda each time he was scheduled for a lesson. I never even requested the switch, and I don't know if anyone was inconvenienced as a result, but it really helped to have consistency during his struggles. Swim Guru went out of their way for my son to have a positive experience again. It was just over and beyond my expectations, and their dedication to their cause makes their swim program exceptional. Moreover, in my observation, what is just as impressive as their ability to teach swimming skills is the coaches' understanding of a child and his emotional needs. None of my son's cries or fears were dismissed. Brenda kept talking him through it and somehow won him back to enjoy swimming again in less than two weeks. Who can understand the mind of a three-year-old who swims like a fish for months and then cries and declares he doesn't want to swim the next day? Not me, the parent, but apparently the coaches at Swim Guru can. They were so understanding and patient with him in building his confidence back. They even had suggestions about what we could do outside of lessons. These coaches are highly trained and experienced professionals who have gone through rigorous and extensive training. They are not college students working part-time. I'm grateful to the whole amazing team of coaches for their dedication, patience and gentle firmness in their teaching. As a mom who swam competitively in a past life and holds a deep love and regard for the ocean, I've always wanted to share my love of swimming with my son. Now thanks to Swim Guru, I can see that dream becoming a possibility! I would give Swim Guru my highest recommendation without reservation for anyone who is considering swim lessons.

McKenzie Brickl: Amazing - teaches kids safety first, then technique. We are so impressed by everything our girls have learned in a short period of time.

Yuzo Watanabe: Both of our kids learned how to swim quickly with Coach Carol and Kat. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

Evergreen Community Aquatic Center: what do users think?

Kim Chi Ngo: . Every month you sign up. There's no guarantee you'll get a spot as it's first come first serve, but current kids get priority registration earlier than non students. So then sometimes you end up picking a bad slot just to try to a good slot next time. Because of that, you may end up with different teachers every time which is not ideal imo for learning to swim. Most of the teachers follow a very set routine plan for the lessons, and don't stray from it even if your kid can do 3/4 things really well and needs to focus on just 1 thing. The price isb$9/lesson and you pay for all the lessons for the month regardless of whether or not you attended. You get what you pay for i guess. That said, there are some staff that are more permanent than others and I've had great experiences with a number of the staff here. My only other gripe is that students in lessons can swim for free and practice during public swim. HOWEVER little kids need adults obviously and the adult is not free when accompanying a student. So I basically can't help my kid practice the skills he's learning without also paying 7 dollars each time.

Jim Lasersohn: Rare find: a 9 lane 25 yard pool in town. Not too hot or cold pool temp. Spacious change and shower room.

John Michael Yasutake: Hidden gem!

Ania M: Place needs to be updated but my daughter loved her instructors. Fun people working there!

Christopher Guizlo: Fantastic facility for swim lessons for kids.

Georgia Edward: It’s your average community pool- open swim, lap swim, etc.

BluntWeaponEnjoyer: 10/10, if the homeless don’t keep the taint goblins away from the greatest swing set ever constructed, this will

Mike Farrell: Unless your homeless, it's a great park . The people who live around the park do not like the homeless they treat them poorly.

Angelo Ambion: Bathrooms need an upgrade.
