Andrey Karayvansky: Great place! So sad they are closing out.

Eric Wardisko: ☠️ .R. I .P. ☠️👁️ It’s not gone yet but it will be by May 31.Get in there and put a few tears in the floor. This place shed the blood of my children with broken guitar strings and they shall never benefit from the sacrament of their suffering. A truly senseless and tragic closure. I will miss this place forever.

Ewan Hruska: Sorry that this store is closing for good very soon. They have been an amazing source for a lot of musical artists here in Seattle. Sad day when they close their doors for good. :(

Keala Milles: Nothing to say. This place is the best

Chey Costello: The best instrument shop in Seattle, and probably the country. Genuine expertise and kindness from the staff. We need more shops like this in the world.

David N Reno: Been going here since I was 13, and always dig the selection 🤘❤️

Poor Premenstrual Darling: Got a beautiful guitar and they even accessorised it! Shame they are closing 😓💔

Charlotte Alexander: I love this store so much! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices seem fair and reasonable. A true Seattle gem.

Steve The Mechanic: For you Drummers., need parts for your kit, here is your place

Kevin Cameron: A nice spread of use, esoteric instruments and electronics. Friendly, helpful staff. Parking on side streets off Roosevelt.

Dan Becker: One of my favorite used instrument stores of all time. Definitely the one I've spent the most time in and bought the most gear from. So long and thanks for all the fish, gang - you'll be sorely missed, and fondly remembered.

Sherry Fan: this store has consistently great prices and amazing, personable staff!! save trading musician please :’(

Sonia Mo: Thank you for all the fun visits, cool gear, funny spec descriptions and the Black Metal tapes!

Ted Brown Music: what do users think?

Aaron Kahn: Matt and his team run a great shop. He generously lent me a high-end Bach Strad trumpet at a very fair price and did so with consummate professionalism and support for my professional needs as I was waiting for my Shires horn to be repaired. I am truly indebted to Ted Brown and will trust them with musical needs I may have in the future!

winnie: Fantastic experience as someone who is disabled! I was unsure if I'd be able to play an instrument again but Nat was incredibly patient, helpful, and made sure I was comfortable. Really went above and beyond, thank you all!Parking lot was big and looked accessible as well- hard to find in Seattle.

Carter: , and having it moved from their Tacoma store to Seattle for me to try out. I was given a private room with the cello to try as long as I needed. All in all, a happy customer. Thanks TBM!

Delanie Montoya: Ted Brown is awesome. I had an old clarinet that needed everything replaced and it came back to me looking brand new! The turnaround time was also fantastic! The staff is super friendly and helpful!

Michael Zou: got my first guitar here and am very happy, staff are friendly and helpful and their products seem to be quality as well. i never review stuff but this place was a standout

Catherine: Got a great beginner’s guitar lesson!

chloe mai: ive had a great experience here. the three times I have ruined my trumpet this year ted brown's repair guy Tim was always reliable, fast, super kind, and very reasonable! the last time, I totaled my bell and one of the spit valves. I went to another repair place that I've heard great things about, and they didn't even take a single look at my trumpet. they just told me that they were lined up with appointments until a month later and that it would be $100. So ofc I went back to Tim and he fixed the whole thing for only $25! I was back playing again the next day. This guy really goes above and beyond. he doesn't try to fool or trick u into thinking that the fix would be hard and costly. hes super honest and straightforward. Ted Brown will always be our go to repair shop from now on.

Will Gross: Very friendly staff.

Lawrence Fosnick Davis: The service is excellent and if they don't have something they are happy to get it transferred from another store. We were there for a tux shirt for band and they were great.

Joshua Lang: Great customer service and support.

william Field: They have a lot of acoustic & electric instruments, sheet music , lessons & practice rooms.

Cary Emens: Great music shop with very informative and helpful staff. A great musical instrument destination especially in these times where a lot of music stores are closed.

Raul Robles: Very happy with my experience here! Found most everything I needed for band/wind ensemble-related activities. Also had to get my instrument serviced, and the technician and people working there went above and beyond my expectations. 10/10 would recommend

Eric Horner: They had what I needed and the staff was nice.

Danny Finan: I recently had a wonderful experience here. My son inherited a violin from a great grandfather and it needed to be completely restrung and tuned up. I’m clueless about instruments so walked in hoping for a good experience. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and they were able to string the violin on site in 20 minutes. In the meantime my son and I had a great time looking at the huge selection of instruments.

Ilya Veli: Great store, great quality selection of guitars. Super knowledgeable staff. I've bought 3 guitars , harmonicas, ukuleles and audio equipment. Great service.

Guitar Center: what do users think?

Max Kim: Awesome employees! Very nice and knowledgeable.

Andrey Karayvansky: were super helpful!

Frank: Best

Bouala Keopraseurt: I went here during the day and towards closing. It's pretty busy during the day and staff are everywhere and helping customers. And then there's closing.... Not as many workers, but they didn't seem to care bout the customers, unless the customers was going to buy something. They only ask " how they can help you " once and that's it... I thought it was really rude and unprofessional. My advice is go during the day if you're needing/ wanting help with your music stuff.

JamesDAAH: Great staff. Very helpful.

George Alderette: Best Guitar Center in WA State. Knowledgeable, helpful and Outstanding Customer service and support. Inventory is well maintained and always organized ensuring a great shopping experience.

juan montealegre: Had the pleasure of being assisted by Lizzy, who was proficient and dedicated, had an intimate knowledge of the features and selling points that make a purchase relevant; and even pointed me to a guitar that I wasn’t planning on buying and through objective demonstration convinced me to get a guitar that I am now TEN times more excited to get.Super friendly and patient staff, clean and organized store and really fun to roam around and get lost in it.You guys rock!

Poor Premenstrual Darling: The beautiful man who works here gave me brilliant and thoughtful advice 🙏

Suraj - Progressive Comfort Solutions: These folks are so great. Ryan in the guitar department is the man. So so helpful. Also, the Store Manager Tyler was extremely helpful and gracious. They folks know their stuff and really care!

Delina Valadez: It was friendly service

Spencer: Employees were very welcoming and helpful. Definitely makes me want to come back, thanks!

Alyda O'hUigin: Helpful staff and great selection of instruments and music

Emerald City Guitars: what do users think?

Kyle Caraway: Great customer service. This is what guitar shops are supposed to look like, and even smell like. Reminds me of music stores back when I was a kid. Was passing through town w less than an hour to kill. Stepped in to check out the shop. What a great vibe and the staff was super friendly. Would love to be able buy something more than a t shirt next time. Highly recommended.

Wasabi Samba: Jay and Liz have helped me several times with a supportive and kind attitude! Thank you! Love this place.

Hunter Preston: Guitar heaven, awesome folks

Lotte Off: This is a good all around guitar store and seems to be one of the last ones. It's behind the locked metal gate, just ring the bell. Have many good accessories as well.

Jordan Lamb: This is one of my favorite guitar stores in the country! These guys know their stuff and are so cool and accommodating. Much love 🙏

Ian F: Beautiful store with tons of vintage gear. Friendly employees. A pleasure to walk in and shop. Came all the way from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to see it and was not disappointed.

Dusty Strings Music Store & School: what do users think?

Stephen Smith: I came down from Canada for a Mariners game and wanted to check this place out after the game, as I’ve heard good things. It’s amazing! I wasn’t in the market for any big instrument purchases, but got some picks and an instructional book. I had such a fun time checking out the mandolins, banjos, dulcimers, and ukuleles. I know nothing about harps but admired the ones they make in house. And I was so happy to finally go to a music store that stocks quality ukuleles and not just the cheapest entry level ones available! I had a great conversation with one of the employees about ukuleles and another one at the cash register who checked me out. They were both super friendly and helpful. This place is amazing and now I know I have to come by whenever I’m in Seattle!

Bruce Baker: Incredible selection of instruments, supplies, books. Active rooms for gathering to jam, sing, learn. A treasure.

Laura Alexandra: They have a wide variety of instruments and they are also a school. People are very nice here and if you have any doubts they are happy to help

Anna Hagen: From harps to stools to harp specific pickups, Dusty Strings products are some of the best investments I've made as a musician and performer. Great products and great people!I'm a fulltime professional harpist and my first Dusty Strings purchase was the padded harp stool-- I've carried it to every gig for 15 years and it is a back saver! Then I installed the Dusty Strings pickup in my pedal harp. Despite the nerves of applying glue to my instrument, the installation was easy and the pickup made gigging instantly better! I can plug in by myself or connect with a sound engineer in a minute. Because I could amplify and not strain myself trying to be heard, I recently performed 28 gigs in one month. I've used their pickup so much I've installed two more in my 36 string lever harp and 25 string lap harp! But the best thing is the Dusty Strings team. They are so gracious to work with. Whenever I had a question about their products and my harps, I would call and get wisdom and tips from people who are obviously passionate about their products. I love any chance to interact with them.

Ralph Palmer: Excellent store for new and used instruments as well as lessons. Mostly fretted instruments, I think.

Kaya Peterson: I went here to rent a banjo yesterday and the customer service exceeded all expectations. I'm a beginner and they gave me an extremely thorough overview of the instrument and just generally seemed to really care about music and the instruments and enjoy introducing people to those topics. In addition, the rental process was simple and a fair price, in my opinion. I'd highly recommend going to this store, we are lucky to have local businesses like these in Seattle!

David Pfister: John in the repair shop was very knowledgeable and able to lower my guitar action to a much nicer height. Very neat shop, check it out.

Susan Canfield: I recently went to Dusty Strings with a precious guitar made by my husband in the early 1970s. He passed and I wanted to get it repaired so it can be played at his memorial service. The two Jacobs I met with there were exceptional. Jacob P was sensitive and helpful with my request, and Jacob C did a beautiful job on repairing the guitar in time for the service. He did an assessment, explained each step of the repair process, and communicated along the way. Rarely does one see such thoroughness and pride in workmanship as demonstrated by Jacob C. I highly recommend him, if you ever need repair work on your musical instrument. Thank you Jacob C and Jacob P!

Na Hyung Choi: Quality instruments, wide selection, knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff, every time.

Dhairya Thakkar: Extremely warm and courteous staff. Really good customer service.

Marcus: Amazing music shop with friendly and helpful staff, loads of stringed instruments, lesson of all kinds. It was a lovely experience going there, and I'm gonna sign up for singing and song writing lessons... ❤️...parking is a little difficult as it's on a busy intersection, so you may need to park on some side streets.

Alexander: Great selection and probably some of the best customer service anywhere in the city. Got my first guitar here when I was 9 as well as my most recent one at 24, and the service/experience has remained consistent the entire time

Matthew Sarb (Matt S): Dusty Strings is a welcoming and wonderful store! Every time I come here, I am inspired to make music and play the harp. 5/5, without a doubt.

Emily Hancock: Very nice store with helpful staff. The classes are great!

Ben: the employees are knowledgeable, honest, and extremely helpful. been going for years and don’t plan to stop any time soon. don’t think i’d be nearly as far musically without some of the kind people at this store. thank you!

Patrick Au-Yeung: What an amazing shop. So many synths you can try in person. Very knowledgeable staff, and the interior design is cozy yet spacious.

Elena Siegman: One of the coolest spots in Seattle. They are so helpful and community oriented. I'm always nervous to ask questions or for help for my burgeoning hobby making music electronically. Not here. They are happy to help and foster an incredibly supportive atmosphere. Also it is so fun to walk in and hear the beeps, boops and whirrs of people playing around with their synths and patches.

Emily Rose: Unlike any other synth shop. Hit up their go fund me so we can keep them in business. Specialty knowledge worth the prices, practically a library and the best synth shop in the PNW. Eurorack fans rejoice! they will help you troubleshoot damn near anything and they’re so friendly. Amazing gear refs that will save you thousands in stumbling through on your own, many hobbyists themselves working here!

Jason Blair: Amazing place with people steeped in synth lore and culture! Deep knowledge of all things EM with emphasis on Modular synthesis. Simply the best!

Colin Meyer: More bleeps and bloops than anywhere, super friendly staff, helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to help you figure out how to make weird noises

Joe Breda: The best store in seattle!

Eric Ringger: Old school Radio Shack vibes for this n00b.

Charles Coslor: Very cool store. This was my first visit and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The employees are inviting and not pushy about anything. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The fact that they have something like 18U by 208HP and it's available to fiddle with is really really awesome.

Michelle Wiles: Excellent place for all you electronic musical needs!

Luiz Alfredo Martins Junior: I bought 2 keyboards when I was in Seattle... Amazing service! You feel free, you can test as many times as you want on the keyboards, very different from here in Brazil. And great prices too.

Aria Blair: I could spend hours and hours here just exploring dozens of amazing instruments all out for you to touch and enjoy. They have a gigantic euro rack they just encourage and even teach you to mess with. I made some utterly awful patch and had a blast. If you're even a little interested in electronic music or just like... Music at all, this is heaven. The staff are wonderful, the prices are absolutely reasonable especially for their used gear. I literally take people here from out of town because it's so cool.

Rosewood Guitar: what do users think?

Scott Hoagland: During my brief visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service I received. Even though I don't play guitar, I needed my instrument restrung, and the staff at Rosewood Guitar were incredibly helpful. The gentleman who assisted me was kind and patient, and he gave me a set of strings and directed me to online resources to finish the job myself. He didn't pressure me into buying anything or try to push a profit, which was refreshing to see. It was evident that his priority was ensuring I had what I needed to complete the task at hand.Overall, my visit to Rosewood Guitar was a positive experience, and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of guitar services. The staff's knowledge and willingness to help, combined with their dedication to excellent customer service, made for a great experience.

Robert Lewis: I was looking for a new guitar, and had something very specific in mind. Rosewood had a guitar that matched what I was looking for at a very fair price. There was no effort to sell me something different. A perfect no-hassle transaction. I cannot imagine a better shopping / buying experience.

shayne mckean: I took in an Epi Flying V that needed some nut and fretwork. Absolutely happy with the work! It now plays as well as any Gibson I have. Kyle did a fantastic job! Thank you!

Meghan McCormick: . They donated a guitar case to store the instrument in.

Kevin Haylock: Very helpful and will take their time to assist and advise anything you may need

Aaron Kassover: Great shop with a beautiful selection of guitars across all prices. The guitar I bought cost 95% less than what the other customer in the store bought while I was there, but they were happy to give me just as much help and attention.

Stephen Oliver: to be told as the first response to me

Teri Smethurst Yeh: Great guitars. Recommend!

Rosalyn Grau: My son love this place. The owner was courteous and very helpful to us. I recommend this place a hundred percent.

Lee Douglass: Best classical guitar store in the Northwest, bar none.

Thunder Road Guitars: what do users think?

V Jenkins: I've been trying to buy a JVM 210H to compliment my Gibson Les Paul Standard for about 2 years. Thanks to Frank I was able to finally buy one. And it is clean!

Jaime Machuca: , they’ll even let you play some guitars if you’re nice, definitely come by.

Pea Cock: So fun to hang out with all these beautiful beasts

Jameson Craighead: This was my first time going to Thunder Road. I had heard from a friend they do great acoustic pickup installations. I went in last week and spoke with the owner Frank, he said it would be no problem to install even as a lefty and we also agreed to get a setup with new strings done as well - I figured after having the guitar for ten years it was a good time to do so. Everything was ready within 48 hours. I picked up several days later and am incredibly pleased with the pickup, setup and overall look and sound it creates. Frank and his team are so awesome and know their stuff about guitars. I look forward to my next experience with Thunder Road Guitars!

Nicholas Wechsler: They have very very high end guitars here. Everything from les paul customs to usa jackson customs. Impressive shop.

Steve Browne: Great service by an amazing staff of musicians who love guitars and their job. I got a great deal ,in the Seattle store , w an outstanding trade in for a new instrument. Don’t go anywhere else till you stop by TRG’s !!!

Johnny Zayas: Bought a Strat thru their website from out of state. Arrived set up perfectly, had great communication w Frank, a first class gear shop! Many thanks to the crew!

Ms. B: Not only does Thunder Road have the best selection, but they also have the best service! My family brings all our guitars here for our needs!

Dave T: Just purchased a used les paul custom from them. It was described accurately and shipped fast. Second guitar I have bought from them. Smooth transaction.

Andrew Watts: Great guitar shop with fair prices, great with my kids too.

Colin Joost: This is what a good guitar shop should be. They’ve got the standard assortment of new gear, some harder to find stuff, and some really interesting and rare used gear. I bought the latter. Good price. Nice folks. Set up on the guitar is extremely good. I would trust them for repairs and adjustment as they clearly know what they’re doing over there.Guitar Center sucks 🤘

Gerry MacCamy: . Still, they could have charged me. They said not to worry about it.We are lucky to have guitar guys like these right here in West Seattle.

Brian Clament: Great staff, amazing selection of gear

Jeff Baran: They know what matters, and can help you get the real deal parts.

Chris Sperlich: Great shop!

Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar: what do users think?

Brian Endter: Finally, the guitar buying experience I was looking for! Amazing selection and super cool shop. Most of all, I appreciated their patient, laid back approach, especially as an intermediate player. They gave me space and plenty of time to play in a quiet amp room. No pressure and none of the ‘too cool for school’ guitar bro vibes I’ve had in other shops. Just people who seemed genuinely excited that you bought a particular guitar that you connected with. Love what you’re doing – keep it up!

Mack McCoy: , and sent me on my way - one happy customer with a guitar that basically got the hotel spa treatment!

Robert Schuppert-McDonald: The staff was very knowledgeable about reselling guitars. I felt very comfortable leaving two electric guitars on consignment with them.

eden Casper: Very friendly place and vibes are good. The guitars are beautiful ❤️

Kevin Otto: An absolutely incredible business with extremely cool people, beautiful rare guitars, and expert luthiers and guitar technicians. Customer service is top notch and I trust them wholeheartedly. I feel so lucky to have found Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar. You should definitely go there if you like guitars and amps.

Matthew Vest: I just want to shout out to Thomas at the guitar bar. I brought in both of my guitars to get some work done on them, which would have left me without one for a couple weeks; however, Thomas got to work immediately and spent 1.5 hours making one of my guitars play better than ever so that I was able to go home with one while he works on the other.Great work, excellent service. I appreciate that kind of thought.

Oleksii Motorykin: ! Very professional and nice people.

Peter Beshai: Beautiful store and super friendly and helpful staff!

Justin Campbell: Incredible selection!

Troy Cook: I brought a Tweed Bassman in for a cap job. Not only was the job well done but Leo would be proud that this 67 year old amp sounds this good! When you are entrusted piece of Fenders history, you need to choose your repair shop carefully. I fully recommend Mike and Mike's!Jim did an outstanding job, for which I am grateful!

Albert Kim: New guitar player, bought a guitar with super high action and was stressing out about it. I came in without an appointment and Adam helped me for a solid 30 minutes right then and there to bring it down, and the guitar was good as new. He didn’t charge me a dime! Will definitely do business here in the future.

Fred Pastukh: Great place and Great specialists!!!Great service!Best in Washington State!!!Highly recommend!!!

Jackson Walker: I love Mike and Mikes! They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their selection also is very select and I know I’m getting a good guitar at a good price when I shop and Mike and Mikes. I’ve purchased 3 very nice guitars here.

Derek Buckley: Great store with nice stock and extremely friendly staff.

Ian F: Most incredible guitar store I have ever seen. I am from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and have gone to every guitar store I get the chance to and this blows them all away. Even carter vintage guitar in Nashville doesn’t compare. The only downside is that the average guitar costs around $2000 so this isn’t the place for someone who is looking for a more budget minded working musician type grade of guitar. But there are plenty of stores around like that. Truly a special place.

Drew Holmes: There are a lot of quality guitar shops in the Seattle area but a huge shout out to Mike Ball and team. I bought a used Les Paul from them and the service and products were top notch. The key in a shop of selling a high end selection is knowledge and service and being an informational liaison to what you are looking for and not feel like you are at a used car lot. The patience and time taken were great. Playing all of the vintage guitars in an amp room to be able to narrow down choice and fair prices were also key. The shop itself is a like a guitar museum of great vintage guitars but set in a cool retro vibe that was fun just to hang out in as well. Would recommend the shop 100%**** Bonus tip *** on a side note their YouTube channel is also great for history of some vintage guitars

Greg Vinson: This crew did superb work on my Steinberger super strat; perfect fret job and set up that included taking the complex trem unit apart and cleaning it up; rough before and smooth as silk now; action as low as possible without buzz; plays like butter and they took the time to talk with me before and at pick up time, and made sure they did the kind of setup that is perfect for me, which only a good consultation can produce; I will be coming back!

Bischofberger Violins Ltd: what do users think?

kat: , as well as sheet music. I would highly recommend coming to this shop!

Hanah Choice: They were so kind and informative when I came in to upgrade my cello strings

Jay's Prius: Super cozy and sweet, love the vibe.

Troy Kaser: I needed to rent a viola for my 4th grader. The staff here were super helpful and took the time to set us up for success.

Ben M: A brilliant, magical little store. I came in to rent a violin as an adult beginner and i was treated to expert service and pleasantly persuaded to rent a viola instead. Well 6 months later and I'm really happy I chose the viola. Highly recommend this shop!

Anne Cisney: Wonderful staff! Very knowledgeable and great in talking with my kids.

Jurni Roco: As you walk up to the shop you're greeted by an old world sign perched high on a former clock post with the words "Violin Maker".The door is festooned with an old sign made of a top plate. As you carefully open the door you're immediately transported into an old world studio. Youll see a wide range of instruments awaiting new players, and students waiting for their turn at private lessons in one if the studios above. You might find an unfortunate soul explaining how they broke their instrument that they've brought in for repair. It feels like magic.

Stacy Yen: Great service and quality instruments

Ann Allen: . Friendly staff, great value/quality. Inspiring just to be in the store.

Lisa Leingang: Very helpful staff. Informative. Not pushy. Will definitely be using this shop for more musical needs in the future.

Phil Hirschi: Love going into their beautiful space.

Rachel F: Always really friendly here, I love having a string shop on Capitol Hill! In the past they have let me us industrial cleaner on my bass to get the incredibly sticky rosin off the varnish which was so sweet of them. Recently there has been a supply chain issue with bass rosin. I went there not expecting to find it and I did I was expecting it to be dry, but I was blow away to find that they had just gotten it in after not having it for a while and it was super fresh at that!

Stefan Tabit: Love the vibe of this place! The staff were quite friendly and let my friend take all the time they needed testing out several different cello bows.

Charity Sandstrom: Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly service

Molly Melbye: Bought a Klier Cello from Bischofberger late in 2020 and the face split open when the temperature changed a few months later. They first offered a repair without charge, and when that didn't work they issued a refund without hassle. I am deeply grateful for them taking very good care of my trust. I'll be back!

The Bass Shop: what do users think?

Brian Koopsen: I happened to be in Seattle, so I thought I'd stop in and see what this place was about. It has been a very long time since I was in a well stocked music store. So many quality basses, amps and cabinets! It was a pleasure talking with Jeff, who is every bit as enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the gear he sells as anyone could possibly be. Very friendly place, and stacked full of quality gear. I can't wait to go back!

Stephen Blair: Chad and Jeff were a huge help in the purchase of a custom bass. They communicated with me through the entire process with no issue. Although I’m happy with the instrument, I’m thrilled with the level of customer service they provided. You cannot put a price on the knowledge and support this store offers. Having been in and out of music shops for 30+ years, this is on my list of top 3.Please consider buying your next set of strings, strap, amp, or bass from The Bass Shop in West Seattle. Chad and Jeff are a great hang as well. Thanks Bass Shop!

Brandon Clevenger: I had a great experience at The Bass Shop this morning. Everyone gave a warm welcome when I came just after they opened. Jeff quickly got me set up with an amp and let me do my thing for an hour while I tried out multiple basses before landing on my BB435. He checked in regularly and was nice and easy to talk to. Not pushy in any way. Every bass that I played was in tune and well set up. Not like the chain stores where over half the instruments are out of tune and have a bunch of fret buzz. And when I picked my bass out, Jeff looked it over to make sure there weren't any last minute adjustments needed before I took it home.As a nice little cherry on top, they have some really cool instruments in stock here. Lots of custom shop and vintage stuff that you don't usually see. It was fun to walk around for a few minutes and check out all of the eye candy before taking off.Thank you Jeff and the rest of the team here for the great experience today. I plan to return in the future.

Joaquin Castillo: Great shop that is well organized with a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I'm a novice bass player and Jeff answered all my Amp questions with great down to earth advice. I'm going to purchase my next practice rig from them and I live in California. That's how great this place is, I'm more than happy and willing to pay extra to keep them in business. Must stop for any bass player who finds themself in Seattle.P.S. My wife wanted me to mention how nice they were to her and my girls, she said that's very uncommon.

Stuart Smith: Purchased a beautiful Mike Lull bass from this shop for my birthday. Packing was first class, shipping and communication best I’ve experienced, and the bass is beyond my expectations. First rate all the way 5+ stars. I’ll be back again.

Conrad Berger: Excellent service, literally best place for deals. I had an issue with my electronics that required soldering, and these geniuses did it in 3 min while showing me what they did. Never were rude, and have a great variety of amps, pedals, and basses. MUCH better than your average guitar center.

Graham Hunter: Absolute best place for bass gear in the pnw!!

Buddy Mack: , this thing plays great and sounds awesome!

James Fulmer: So Impressed! First Review I've ever written! I was directed to The Bass Shop by another guitar shop in Seattle. I called and talked to Jeff. He shared with me about the website and their wide selection. There was just the one Bass that fit what I've been looking for. After the 160 mile drive to enter The Bass Shop/Thunder Road Guitars. I was welcomed and encouraged to freely check out anything of interest. Jeff helped me zero in on the Bass of my interest. I took a lengthy bit of time in my decision. But it was the complete friendliness and accommodating to my specific need that Jeff tailored a non high pressure deal making me the sale I couldn't refuse. I'll Highly Reccomend The Bass Shop/ Thunder Road Guitars to any musician searching for a great deal! Thanks Jeff and other guys!

Walter Cano: Incredible work and friendly folks!

Tige DeCoster: The Bass Shop is THE place for all electric bassists. The bass collection is well curated with both reasonably priced professional instruments. For those with deeper pockets, there are many beautiful instruments to choose from, too. In addition, they have a selection of boutique effects and both used and new amplifiers. Shout out to Chad!

Lou McSheffrey: I made the trek from Olympia to the Bass Shop, and it was definitely worth the trip! Jeff was a huge help and very customer friendly; he listened to me as I discussed my amp needs. There were no pressure sales, and I had an idea of what I was looking for, but we confirmed it by trying several different configurations. I ended up buying one of the two amps I was looking for, feeling good about the purchase knowing that I had a store to go to if there was a problem. Thanks again, guys. I'm sure I'll be back for a lightweight cabinet! Lou

Jimmy Naron: Bass bass bass bass bass bass

J. Jones: and couldn't be happier. They said the bass was in excellent condition, and I must say, you could convince me it was a brand new bass off the wall. Their communication and customer service was great. The bass came packaged and protected extremely well, and the shipping was really fast.I asked them to set the bass up for me a certain way, not really expecting much since I'd be changing the strings out and it's so subjective anyway, but I was actually surprised at how well the bass played out of the box with their setup.I would have no hesitation purchasing from The Bass Shop again.

Tom Anastasio: I just sold another bass with the bass shop. A pleasure dealing with a pro shop of this quality. I hope to do more business with them in future.

Jared Banks: The best place for bass players.

Levinwood: Great! I've had my flute tuned up there a couple times over the years. Great service. Reasonably priced. Nice people.

It plays and looks as good as new! I would definitely trust them for any future work I need done.

Will Hughes: Really nice people at good prices!

Kathy Meredith: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessI contacted Marie Rice from out of the US. I shipped my flute to her for a total overhaul. Marie was a consummate professional. She answers communications and respond quickly. Her work on my instrument was exceptional. She made a 40 year old flute look and sound brand new. I highly respect and recommend her service. In Harmony!

Jonas Rivera (Kirbycatcher): Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessGreat repair on a pretty out of shape alto saxophone. It was a little expensive but it was indeed a lot of work. Thank you for the repair Dustin.

Emily Cheever: Marie is absolutely the best. Great service, lovely humans, excellent work done. Highly recommend.

Scott B: Great shop loaded with caring professionals! Marie is awesome and her knowledge and passion for her craft was immediately evident! I brought her a near 100 yr old sliver plated brass clarinet that was my dad's as a child and after their care, it looks and plays absolutely beautiful. I retired the case it was stored in and it now sits in my music room on a proper stand and is the shining star of the room.

James Sweazea: Only place I go for instrument repairs right now. Dan is the best!

Eric Cook: Had my then 50 year old Reynolds cornet refurbished there 20 years ago and it came back like brand new! Dan did great work and even showed me around the shop. You can see and feel his passion for the work and are rewarded with a beautifully restored instrument under his master hands.

Steve Ainsworth: and they reassembled the valves to the horn. Took about four weeks, which was fine with me. Although the cost was pricey it was well worth it. My Besson now plays so much better: I was ready to stop playing because my sound was terrible. Thankfully I discovered the leaky valves was the problem not as much the player.

Mason Lim: Fast repair/general maintenance. Got my trumpet maintained and repaired back in 2 days.

Al Martin: Dan Oberloh is the best repair guy in the biz. Not just locally, either. He is known throughout the wind instrument world.

Lorena Long: Local business repairs high end instruments and does custom work. We love visiting this little shop with its amazing array of parts. These guys have an astounding amount of skill and knowledge and we always feel we are in good hands with them.

Brian Stevenson: Literally the best in the business. If other shops cannot or will not fix your horn, the guys here will defy even your greatest expectations. They do the jobs other people wouldn't even consider

L.A. Oftedahl: Genius brass instrument repair. The workshop is worth a visit to see all the machines and tools. Not to mention the gallery/collection of instruments.

Georgetown Music: what do users think?

Jeff Albertson: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A great spot to buy, sell or consign new, used or vintage gear. Always something cool to check out here.

Khanthaly Nualsaeng: I was recommended here by a local friend, and I was not disappointed. Brent was friendly, if a bit quiet, and engaged with my questions well! The check-out process was quick and satisfying with no manufactured pressure to buy more. I loved that prices on used gear were low, even if they were like-new; really encourages to re-home these beautiful tools and waste none. I'll always remember where my first bass is from.

David Yama: PS: Traded a Epiphone Les Paul for an Epiphone SG here, and I'm over the moon. Great freaking setup guys, can't put this baby down. Good job good job, as one days.

Rafael m: Walked in with a question and walked out with gear.

Josh Wise: I always have and always will love an independent music store. This scratches that itch for me

quin: good amount of stuff

Kheda Medley: Bought my first guitar here. Bruce was INCREDIBLE, always support local business. Knowledgeable staff, genuinely seemed interested in getting me started and set up, met my needs perfectly. Thank you

J W: Great resource and friendly people!

Pete Blunk: So helpful! Great shop, got a great deal on a used Les Paul. First time I'm there and they were super friendly and it's a great small business. I'll definitely go there for anything else I need. ♥️♥️♥️

Katt Purington: Guys behind the counter are knowledgeable about all things in the shop and give good advice/recommendations on pedals and guitars. Appreciate the store's selection of picks!

Todd Todd: Rare and special.. a great guitar store with NONE of the creepiness of the corporate guitar chains

Ean Paget: These guys are great. Very knowledgeable staff who are patient and eager to assist. We need more mom and pop music stores!

Los Ramos: was a wonderful first-time musical instrument shopping experience. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable and respectful even with 1,000 basic questions fired their way. Not at any point did my wife and I feel like we had stepped onto a car-lot with salesman salivating at the mouth trying to get us to sign on the dotted line, like a few other stores did that day. They seemed just as concerned that we found what it's that we were looking for, as we were. Sale or no sale, we weren't treated any different and you can tell they both have passion for what they do. All that on top of a beautiful guitar in stock it wasn't hard to come back later that day and make a purchase. We will definitely continue to do business with them. Thanks guys!

Silesia Guitars: what do users think?

Taylor Dabb: Whenever I drop my guitars off here I know they're in good hands. The quality of work is impressive and the prices are fair. The only downside I've experienced is that the turnaround time can be a little long, but I can't fault them for being so good that they're busy -- it's always worth the wait.

Brandon Ring: Top notch guitar Lutheran in Seattle. 100% recommend Dagna. She is a master in her trade and it shows.

Brandon Brockway-Ring: Take your guitar or bass here. If you want a pro to work on your guitar, look no further. Dagna does absolutely amazing work. I thought it was a reasonable time to have the work done at a very fare price. I will bring all my instruments to have them worked on here. 10 out of 10!!

The Crayon States: I brought in my old MIJ Fender Mustang with a pickup that I have been resoldering and spraying contact cleaner in over the years, but she suggested replacing the jack and did so in 15 minutes and charged a very fair price. It’s been playing great and now makes me want to bring in other at-home repairs and maintenance that I have been doing myself. Her fee for a setup is very fair and now that I’ve seen her work, I am recommending my musician friends to her shop.

Craig Webb: Excellent service, everything is well explained. Awesome employee's. Great workmanship.

scott abrahamson: The best! All you can want in electric guitar mods

Joe Creech: Did an amazing job replacing the nut and doing a fret level on my electric guitar. Totally changed the feel, a joy to play now. Thank you!!!

Sandara Tapnio: I've had some fret work done on a couple of guitars here....workmanship & pricing is good. I'll probably use this place as my go-too luthier

Ted Sweeney: The awful background buzz on my bass is completely gone thanks to new copper tape shielding from Silesia. Kind folks, reasonable price, pro work. Thank you!

Lauren Eva Lane: TAKE YOUR GUITARS HERE!! I had a single broken tuning head, and John was able to find a new one AND replace it within 30 minutes at a very reasonable price. Highly HIGHLY recommend their services and will be going back if I’m in need of any adjustments to my instruments!

David Guenther: So, I'm new to playing guitar and decided to pick up one off FB market place. Not knowing anything about instruments, I quickly found out that the sound was very off. I brought my electric guitar to Silesia Guitars and they fixed it all up. Now I have a great starter guitar that sounds great. The owner and employees are kind and knowledgeable. It was a great price for the service and I highly recommend.

Ryan Parr: This is a great company if you're in need of guitar repair. I have an old classical guitar that was about 50 years past due on a tune up. After just a few weeks the team at Silesia were able to address a number of issues by upgrading the bridge, nut, and completely replacing the tuners. They even finished the job earlier than expected. Thanks for such great service!!!

Taylor Baker: Great communication, and very thorough.

Nitrousoxide2k: Excellent work, lovely people, skilled and actually care. Don't leave your precious instruments with McGuitar Center, give it to the pros at Silesia.

Blake Petri: It took about 3 weeks to get my guitar back from her but it sounds better than ever and looks great. The owner was incredibly nice and I will recommend this shop to anyone else who needs a tune up.

thomas howe: . The workmanship exceeded my expectations. The guitar has never played or sounded better. Well worth the money. I couldn’t be happier with the job.

Steven Shults: Great experience. I got a new nut and some fret levelling done on a Strat. The work was done very well, and the setup was done exactly as we discussed. The guitar was ready for pickup at the time when I was told it would be. Interactions with Dagna were pleasant and professional. My previous local luthier went out of business, but it seems like I've found my new luthier. I'll definitely be back.

Music & Arts: what do users think?

Michael Perkins: Local downtown Burien shop for musical instruments, supplies, sheet music and private lessons.

Felicia C: . There's ample parking at this location as it is shared with the other nearby/attached businesses. If you live in Burien or the nearby areas, it is extremely convenient. I HIGHLY recommend seeking this Music & Arts out for all their music needs. :

Cara Ivy: Great place for renting school and instruments!

Matteo Griffin: Every interaction I have had with this store has been good. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, MUSICAL! Pricing for rentals is affordable and the payments actually accrue equity towards an eventual purchase.

quin: i get lessons here, really nice

stephanie kuborssy: I am a band director in the area, music and art has been nothing but helpful in times of need not only for my program but for personal needs.I emailed them asking if they had any means to donate instrument name tags one year, and they brought me boxes full of them for free.I asked them if they could help me finance an instrument and they did everything to let me shop/play test before purchasing.Anthony is an incredible worker, he is always helping me out when I call. I recommend music and art over Ted Brown not only for basics but for repairs and purchasing.

Vance: Nice little store. Pretty decent selection.

Shedlie Louis: Great school

S Berg: Always friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff here.

stephany choi: I am learning piano from this location and I really enjoy coming here. My instructor is amazing and staffs are nice as well.

Jason Maroney: Been coming here for years. Lessons for my daughter, instruments, sheet music, and free guitar stringing with string purchase. And amazing customer service. Great with all ages. 😊thank you!

Jaime Muñana: I have been coming to this store for over a year now. Everytime that my daughter and I have been there, the people have been so kind and very helpful. I would like to point out that "Christian" has always been very instrumental in addressing our concerns! I highly recommend this store to any parent looking to either purchase or rent an instrument for their child!

Heather Shropshire: Great customer service.

Timothy Thedford: Evan, Anthony, and Amy. I love this shop, love them. Amazing customer service, just really kind, sweet people. They all deserve raises. Don't shop at stupid Guitar Center. Come to Music & Arts. It's my favorite music shop in Seattle.

Anita Fairbanks: full-size viola in Washington, and the quality is delicious. This month, I purchased two violas with Anthony using our credit, and he was amazing. He helped me find an upgrade, walked me through shipping, was quick to respond, and was very knowledgeable about my rental history and available discounts. Over the years, I figure I probably have saved two or three thousand dollars by using the Music & Arts program that grew with my three kids. I strongly recommend these stores for homeschooling and for personal music education. They really went above and beyond with me.
