Tokara: what do users think?

William W: My wife and I had one of our most unforgettable meals at Tokara. The server Keryn and Elvis were very knowledgeable withe menu and helped us make the right selections to make the perfect evening. We strongly suggest couples that are interested in trying everything to just order the 6 and 4 course separately as suggested by our server. Each serving can be shared with one other person so you can essentially try everything this amazing place has to offer. Looking forward to our next visit with family and friends. Thank you to the Tokara team for making our visit one of the best.

Ben Wade: Delicious, beautiful seasonal treats.

Denise Tanaka: The most delicious and authentic mochi you could ever eat in Washington. Fresh, great texture and delicate, if you really appreciate mochi you will notice there's not many places like this. I've seen a lot of folks complaining about this place on yelp but it's because they are used eating overly sweet candies. This is not the place for that type of sweet. The owner is also very kind and lovely, it was a nice found! You can order through Uber eats Wednesday or Fridays and pick up or call and reserve a box to be picked up on Sunday. All details in her website.

Dr. Tomesh L.Ac. DAOM Licensed Acupuncturist: Ordered through ubereats. Packaged great and everything was tasty. A little slice of Nippon in Seattle. Each piece was delicious and beautifully designed and I love each little description on the website. Ordering again soon. My sister loved them as well. Pair wonderfully with a bitter green tea. MIRO tea shop a great place also have them too, check both out.

Megan Buxton: Delicious wagashi year round with specials for various holidays. Highly recommend. Owner is very kind, communicative, and accommodating.

Nana’s Green Tea: what do users think?

Nhiem Le: Food: 5/5

Jong Lee: Great desserts! Next time we want to try the entrees like the katsus

Ananya: Super cute place - I’ve been to the bellevue location and it was nice to see one open up closer to home in seattle!Definitely busy and harder to find seats, but the treats are yummy and come out in a timely manner.

eli kim: but my partner loves it. So I'll round up from my 4 to her 5. Clean food. Nicely put together. I like the non-green tea

Hiroki: what do users think?

Xin Yun Tea: Green tea tiramisu👌🏻

Ben Kesseler: Hiroki has excellent cakes, especially the green tea tiramisu. Parking on site is usually doable, if you order a cake ahead, you're guaranteed a great party!

lei: The Tiramisu I tried has a little too much sponge cake to my liking, I don't particularly care that much about lady finger vs cake but perhaps this is how tiramisu is generally made in Japan. Tastes good though.

Moose: Family owned Japanese cafe. Cheesecakes are good. Flavors are good but slices were a bit too soft when you take them out of the plastic holder and can fall easily when slicing.

Kelley Martin: We have no words for these master desserts!! Recommended by the lovely gentleman at the counter, we selected the Mango Honey, and Matcha cheesecakes. WOW!! Lite and airy and sooo lovely on the palate. We just moved into the neighborhood, and this will be a regular spot for us. Thank you Guys!

Tuan Vo: I had a few of their cakes and their mango creme. Paired it with an iced matcha latte. It was amazing. Highly recommend this place for a quick fix. Nothing overly sweet. Just perfect.

Ben Sferle: Better than advertised!

Jesse Hart: I couldn't pick just one, so I bought one of everything. Totally worth it!

Modern Japanese Cuisine & Desserts: what do users think?

Jonathan Betz-Zall: Generous and nicely varied portions in the bento boxes. The salmon collar was fine. The karaage chicken was well cooked but too cold by the time we got it home. I'm sure it would have been great if we'd been able to have it at the restaurant. The matcha roll cake is listed as their most popular dessert -- it's easy to understand why. An outstanding balance of colors, textures and flavors. I hope to remember to get it every time!

Hugo Aguas: Yes!!!!! I'll say it again for the people in the back- yyyyaaaaeeeesaassssss! So cute, so good! Yeeeaaaassss! It's that time of the year again where restaurant week reigns supreme, and this time they didn't miss! I had their restaurant week special which was a salmon box. Everything was perfect, especially the salmon belly, grilled salmon and salmon sashimi! Everything was fresh tasty and out of this world.Despite this location doubling as a bakery, they know how to make sushi and prepare wonderful pastries. The matcha cheesecake was superb with plenty of fresh matcha powder on top and mung beans on the bottom. This was easily my favorite matcha desert ever! While they don't have indoor seating, I saw two small tables outside. I'll be going back and happy freaking restaurant week!

Luke Hippely: I had a mackerel bento box - it was delicious and healthy. Friendly staff!

Lisa Chen: Lovely store and employees! Got some great suggestions for bentos for the family. The food was delicious and nutritious! They also sell some goods like bags and cups which were very cute.

Bil E: at $30 all in for a chirashi bowl that is 80% the portion of fremont bowl, I am not excited about the quality trade off that might be present.

J Y: The eel over rice was delicious with a nice warm miso soup!

Gabrielle Root: We live down the street. We also eat at restaurants all over Seattle. The thing that stands out for me at Modern is the food feels like it’s lovingly prepared. The ingredients are premium. Even the to go orders are carefully prepared. We get the salmon bento a lot, and the cuts of fish are premium. It’s the perfect amount of food. Tiny garnishments of pickled vegetables compliment everything perfectly. Service is also top notch. Love this place!

Alyssa S: Their sushi is really fresh and their customer service is incredibly friendly! Their desserts are also really good!Location is really close to the Woodland Park Zoo so I would highly recommend taking a quick trip over to it once you are done with your zoo trip.

Wan-Yu Wu: Awwww I love their custard puddings so much!!! Will go back again soon to try more dessert options 3

Nick Richards: Delicious. Nice to have dinner and dessert take out!

Allison McIntyre: My favorite sushi restaurant near my house. The staff is always very friendly and I love the desserts and drinks in the front.
