It lived up to my hopes.The environment is nice, open, and relaxed. I’ve always been offered complimentary refreshments while waiting for my appointment.The staff are all professional, friendly, and on-point. Everyone, specifically Tim, helped worked with me to find a new style and has been a pleasure to work with ever since.I know the place offers some more advanced services but I’ve only done haircuts so far so I can’t speak to those. But, the haircut experience has been great.

He talked me through some of his ideas, and then went to work. The man knows his way around a set of clippers and did excellent work, checking in with me at each stage of the process to both explain his technique and make sure we were headed in the right direction. The trim he gave not only looks great but is designed to grow in correctly so it'll have longevity. Affordable, comfortable atmosphere, great results. I will be going back to Valentine's and I highly recommend it to those in need of beard assistance or a trim.
Juan Carreno: The experience here is amazing. Barbers are knowledgeable and know what's up with your hair and how you should treat it. Plus they are sick with the cutters. Tim was my barber and was super informative and made my experience super comfortable and gave me to he knowledge about my hair. Definitely recommend Tim!

Eric “Castronaut”: Dropped by the shop end of the day and they were able to squeeze me in first thing the next morning. Davey was personable and interesting to talk to. I’ve got a balding top and he was able to give me a cut to downplay the thinning hair and provide some styling recommendations with some clay pomade. A cut is $50, but he spends solid time making a terrific fade. I wish I were a Seattle local, I’d come back!

James Ku: I think Penelope was the lady who cut my hair and I think she did a great job. She didn't talk much because she was concentrating on cutting my hair. I think she did fine work and I'm very satisfied with the results.I just have one concern, whatever clipper she used to shave the back of my neck at the end of the cut, she really needs to stop using it. The back of my neck is still red, raw and burning and its been 30 mins since my cut. Maybe it's better to switch to shaving cream and razor if a close shave is the result you want.Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my haircut and she did a great job. I think that peice of equipment isn't so great for a close shave on sensitive skin.

Julio Rosales: Both Carol and Kristen have cut my hair and done an amazing job every time. I highly recommend them and JAX barber for a very good haircut experience. Haircuts are typically 45 minutes long and they give you a free cleanup within 3 weeks of your haircut which is great. Be sure to book your appointment online ahead of time though because their schedules do fill up fast.

Leilani Dunlap: All of the stylists here are incredibly friendly. The salon has always been very clean and felt inviting whenever I’ve been in. Sierra always has made sure I’ve felt comfortable and even brings out snacks. I’ve had my hair cut and colored here for the past couple of years and have always been pleased with the results and my visit. The pricing is competitive, which is great considering hair upkeep is becoming a luxury item. 10/10 would recommend!

What an outstanding haircut! Vic is from Madrid and has been in Seattle for two years. He has some seriously great barber skills. Rather than giving him detailed instructions for what I typically get, I asked him what he thinks I should do. He told me, I said “go for it”, and I’m glad I did. My hair looks fantastic. Not a crazy-tight fade, but a fade that fits the shape of my face perfectly. Vic took his time and actually stopped to show me his progress several times, just to make sure I was happy with the progress. On top of the great cut, Vic is a great conversationalist. Chris Kosednar: You cannot get a better short haircut in Seattle. Trent the owner cuts mighty fine and in my experiences his other barbers are similarly high quality.
Andrew Thune: You get what you pay for! Trent and Lindsey have been the most incredible caretakers of my hair for the last couple years. I was referred to them when my other barber moved to LA. I recently moved to Bothell, which is a 30-45 minute drive from Old Habits. I saw a trendy looking barber shop about a 2 minute walk from my new place and decided to give it chance. I thought, if this works out I could save myself an hour plus round trip whenever I need a hair cut. Lets just say I won't making that mistake again. Within 1 minute my entire head was botched. Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber looked better than I did with that stupid bowl on his head. I had to wait a couple months to let it grow out. I couldn't book an appointment with Trent fast enough. I went in there today with my tail between my legs and explained what had happened. Trent laughed it off and told me not to worry. Long story short, best hair cut of my life. I can honestly say that every time I walk out of Old Habits. Whether it's Trent or Lindsey, you know you're in best hands. They take their time and pay attention to every minor detail of each client. They are also some of the nicest most personable people you'll ever interact with. If you're looking for a new barber shop and on the fence, look no further. Old Habits is the best shop in town. I'll never go anywhere else again.
