Beth: If you are looking for a cake for someone special or just yourself, I recommend you try Morfeys. I have purchased from a handful of other shops in Seattle over the last 5 years and so far, Morfeys Cakes is my favorite. I wanted to surprise my fiancé for his birthday with a white confetti cake that reminded him of his childhood and this cake was so cute. The buttercream was smooth and delicious, without any strong sugary aftertaste. The raspberry buttercream filling was my favorite it was sweet and just a little tart. After we opened the cake, I placed it in a cake container and two days later the cake was still moist and the buttercream tasted fresh. Erin, was just as sweet as the cakes she bakes and was super accommodating. I highly recommend!

Destinee Sanders: Stopped in to check out what Morfey’s had to offer and tried this absolutely delightful melt in your mouth almond citrus cupcake. Took a look at the cakes and they were works of art. You definitely need to call ahead or go online for like wedding cakes, birthday cakes or other celebrations. If you are passing by like we were stop in for a cupcake you wont be disappointed.

We went with lavender haze and chocolate decadence. Lavender haze was a perfect light flavor and chocolate decadence was so rich and moist. The cake bites were the perfect size for everyone to try both flavors and not leave half of a piece of cake left uneaten on their plate. We loved their cake.

Worth the wait: we hung out at Phantom Quartz up the street while we waited.We walked out with three pieces of cake: cookies and cream, chocolate truffle, and the irresistible birthday cake. Best part? Cream cheese icing. Not too sweet with a slight tang, and creamy rich.Parking: Busy intersection, hard to find parking. Walking is very option.

Indranee Saha: Delightful cake store! Marina is a skilled baker and her cakes taste as good as they look. I ordered a set of mini chocolate cream cupcakes and a chocolate mousse cake for a birthday event and both were smash hits with our guests. The mirror glaze work is incredibly beautiful, and the mousse melts in your mouth. Marina was prompt with her suggestions and replies and placing orders to picking them up were hassle-free. Will be returning back!

The frosting was a Swiss Meringue Buttercream and was the perfect amount of sweet. It wasn't too thick and really added to the cake rather than burrying it.The 6" was a good size for a group of 8 adults and we only ate about half of it so there was plenty for leftovers.

Erin Orth: Why did I give this place 5 stars? They don’t have a lot to choose from but the cupcakes are gourmet, moist, light and really tasty. The cup in the picture is two cupcakes smashed together and boy is it sweet! It’s also original. I’ve never seen anything like it and if you want to impress your friends/family with some gourmet deserts, this is the place to go. Support your local establishments!

We tasted a wide range of innovative flavor combinations, and easily found something that we both loved. She was also able to accommodate dietary restrictions – making a small gluten-free, dairy-free cake to go along with the primary cake. She worked with us to keep us on budget and delivered a stunning and delicious cake. We kept the top for ourselves and enjoyed it during our honeymoon and we fully intend to order a small cake to celebrate our anniversary!

Anyways it was a Poppyseed cake with strawberry jam. It was incredible! I only wish you sold slices. The frosting itself was just a bit too sweet for my taste. How could you possibly make such fabulous cakes over and over again without a little bit of magic? My husband and I ordered a cake tasting box with six of her custom and unique flavors, and you know it’s a good problem to have when you struggle to choose just one. In the end, we went with one of her micro wedding cakes in the espresso pecan crunch flavor, which was so flavorful and fluffy with delicious crunchy pecan bites. We also asked her to add sugar flowers that matched our wedding flowers. It was definitely worth it. Her flowers added a beautiful custom touch that tied our dessert table into the rest of the wedding.We will absolutely be ordering an anniversary cake when the time comes. She was very responsive, helpful and created a beautiful cake that complimented our wedding colors and flowers! I wanted to accommodate all my guests and serve gluten free cake and Honey Crumb was one of few who I could turn too. With Carla's guidance we chose a "micro wedding" cake to serve our 30 guests and not one bite was left over -- only the gorgeous sugar flowers! Mary Gilmore: I am a picky home baker/chocolate cake enthusiast and i was impressed. They sell out quickly though! Get there early! I got there 4 minutes after they opened and there was already a significant line.The only problem i have is their rotating menu is fun but apparently somewhat unpredictable - i really only came for the april seasonal coconut cake and they ended up not having it. Also these are obviously hand made and with high quality ingredients but paying 10-11 bucks for a single slice of cake that tastes like something I could make at home gives me a touch of sad. I still will tho, chocolate cures the sad.
Katie Reinsvold: We happened upon the shop by accident. Oh my gosh! Where have they been my whole life? We bought three slices, Salted Caramel, Cookies and Cream, and the Vanilla Bean Custard. They were all equally delicious and unique. The gentleman helping us was very informative and it was a very friendly atmosphere. It's a good thing we live in Lacey because I would be there every week if I lived in Seattle. They have quickly become our special occasion splurge. We will eventually try the whole menu I'm quite sure. We are very lucky to have found this gem. I think about going back all the time.
Madhur Chopra: Wonderful cake shop- has me looking forward to my next visit. We had the banana cake with banana pudding in the layers, and the chocolate malt cake. We loved both, but the banana one maybe a tad bit more! The cake slices are generous and around $10 each. The space is clean and inviting, if not a bit basic, but that's the aesthetic of Georgetown in general I think. Will be back!

The chausson aux pomme was the most disappointing. I actually don’t believe it should be called that as it’s an interpretation of what it should be: definitely a bit too cakey, more like an apple turnover. You would never find one with powdered sugar in Paris.The frosting on the eclair was great, but I’d actually like to see a little bit thicker, more airy layer of pastry.The parking in the neighborhood is definitely tricky. Make no mistake, if you live nearby, you should indeed go here. The food is good, and the people are lovely. I am just searching for the tip top and driving the city to find it.Parking: Be prepared to walk a block or two
Suman Grewal: The incredibly bad news is I found out that Rosellini's has a deliciously moist decadent chocolate cake that I can get by the slice. I can't think of another place I've tried that is on par or better. So now I run the risk of getting this any time I experience the slightest life hiccup where I justify getting myself a little treat. It's going to be a problem.Also, the morning bun is always a yummy choice. Cinnamon sugar with a bit of orange zest. This place is delightful.

Ty Hen: Found on Alaska mileage plan, and decided to indulge my pastry tooth after seeing they had lemon bars. Bars were decent(crust was a bit undercooked; crumbly and bland, not buttery or flaky. Lemon vanilla donut was soft and tasty, just a tad pricey for the size. Were out of a bunch of drinks on the menu, or didn't have them. The girl working wasn't clear. She wasn't unpleasant. She was very polite, just seemed distracted and a little perturbed, like something had occurred earlier and she wanted to get home. Clean establishment, but the decor wasn't welcoming. I may or may not be back.

Everyone thought the food ranged from B+ to A+.The so-so news: All 3 of us ordered espresso drinks. We were told straight up it was a latte or nothing. My husband asked about a double shot straight and the barista said, fine. It was a pretty slow Sunday, we must have waited 10 to 15 minutes for 2 double shot lattes which were meh.Also, it looks like they just opened, which isn't true at all. They had 3 chairs & 3 little tables inside, when they clearly could have had double that inside, and there were 2 tables outside with a few more seats. I'm sure the excuse is well--COVID, but they could do better. But double thumbs up for take away!Dietary restrictions: This is a great find if you know someone with celiac disease. It's so great just to them finally relax and enjoy themselves because there's no gluten!Parking: If you know the area, 15th near the hospital, parking's tight, but we have a disabled parking pass, and there's a spot a block or so away for vehicles with disabled permit holders. Not fantastic, but it's Capitol Hill.

He recommended an amazing cafe for us, as they only serve drip, coffee and espresso. Lots of great recommendations to go to. Will definitely return if I'm ever back in Seattle! Ben Kesseler: Hiroki has excellent cakes, especially the green tea tiramisu. Parking on site is usually doable, if you order a cake ahead, you're guaranteed a great party!
lei: The Tiramisu I tried has a little too much sponge cake to my liking, I don't particularly care that much about lady finger vs cake but perhaps this is how tiramisu is generally made in Japan. Tastes good though.
Moose: Family owned Japanese cafe. Cheesecakes are good. Flavors are good but slices were a bit too soft when you take them out of the plastic holder and can fall easily when slicing.
Kelley Martin: We have no words for these master desserts!! Recommended by the lovely gentleman at the counter, we selected the Mango Honey, and Matcha cheesecakes. WOW!! Lite and airy and sooo lovely on the palate. We just moved into the neighborhood, and this will be a regular spot for us. Thank you Guys!

Mara U: The cupcakes are phenomenal with rich flavors, moist cake, and light frosting. The macarons are expensive and somewhat flavorless and not worth getting. The chocolate cupcake though is amazing and is a must for chocolate fans.
Taylor Russell: Good cupcakes, though their per-cake custom price is a little extreme... We know they're one of the best around so we paid it, but it's a "yellow flag" for us going forward. We provided custom toppers and they did an excellent job with our instructions and matching the decor. Great customer service from everyone I interacted with!
