Twice Sold Tales: what do users think?

Jaime Jackson: I love the people who work here and the shop cat!

Gabriel Kabar Trust-Bolack: A historic landmark in my humble opinion. This bookstore used to reside in the U-District. Lots of sweet felines roam languidly about the store. Great place to find a story to get lost within.

Jesse S.: the cat who seem to love people. Love having this wonderful place in the neighborhood.

Colleen Cavanaugh: Lots of books around. Not well organized. There are a lot of trip hazards in the place and it does smell like a cat lives there. I've been in other bookstores with cats and you wouldn't even know they were there.

Deepan Guharajan: Terrific book store!! The owner is lovely, and their cat is such a sweet one!

Austin Carson: Gabriel! I love you! You’re awesome! I love everything I purchased!

Al Baez: Good selection of comics, priced correctly

Vic Toria: Happened to be in the neighborhood and noticed this gem! My boyfriend was super excited to find another book for his collection, while I rummaged through a box of random toys and found a Pokemon belt that fit me perfectly. Gotta check in on this place periodically for more finds!

Daniel Rodriguez: Good service, good prices, will come back here again!

Peter Donchev: Great selection, friendly staff!!!

Nadia Michelle: Well organized, extensive catalog both with new and old stuff. Friendly frontman.

Quincy Slade: Gabe is a great dude who's been so good to his community for decades.

colin elliot: My Spidey senses are tingling.

Committed Comics: Good selection. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly

Paul T Maack: , but I'm not the kind of guy who needs that many comics.I've been to a couple of other comic shops, and didn't care for the vibe I got. This place is pretty grounded and I can't see myself going anywhere else for my comics needs anytime soon. Plus, I enjoy supporting local businesses whenever possible.

David Johnson: An amazing comic shop with a huge selection. The staff are rad

Niko Haritos: I've een going here for years, and I love it. Owner is super nice and very helpful.

1998 Honda Civic: This place is awesome, I came in earlier today and was just expecting a small hole in the wall comic place but what I discovered was a really chill and cool place with a ton of comics, and like not just mainstream stuff there’s also some really cool and weird finds in here. Awesome atmosphere and a 10/10 selection make for a store I will definitely return to.

timmy miracle: I'm from out of town so I only stopped by once but they were very helpful. I'll definitely drop in again next time I'm in town.

Mikequius Rodriguez: Going there on one of my days off in Seattle is always a highlight. To start always going to the farmers market and walking around and then ended like going to this nice place to get a good comic book or a graphic novel.

BEE S.: Cleanly and iconic! This store has a bunch of nice collectibles and books! Definitely a staple of Pikes Place!

Sam Wolk: Best book store in Seattle maybe

Jefferson Petrey: One of the last great used book stores in Seattle. Vast selection of fiction in every genre, as well as an extensive philosophy and theory section. Trade paperbacks and graphic novels, sci-fi and fantasy isle, and rare and out of print books behind the front counter. They are regularly buying used collections, so what happens to be on hand at any given time changes from week to week.

Outsider Comics and Geek Boutique: what do users think?

Lily Hammond: Helpful and knowledgeable staff

Christopher Focht: Great little comic shop with a decent selection.

Vera D.: What a fantastic shop! What first caught my eye were the collection of Nooworks print clothing in the window. The brand celebrates bodies of all shapes, colors and sizes and I was impressed that a comic/geek store would carry it. I also found a unique tarot card set, a cool D20 die with liquid center. I wanted to buy all the books, and loved the artwork and cheeky geek Knick knacks, magnets and stickers. Highly recommend a visit for that geek in your life including yourself.

Josh Velasquez: Awesome co-op comic book shop with a great selection featuring large and small creators alike.

Sean McNeil: Great local comic and game shop. They have limited space, but as a result are very careful with their curation. Anything that is on their shelves is there for a reason.

Jolyne: Outsider Comics is a terrific little comic book store filled to the brim with unique stories to be told, and wonderful people to recommend them!I have visited twice now, and have had great experiences both times. The staff are super friendly and greatly knowledgeable on the many genres offered throughout the store. This includes a modest section of more classic Marvel and DC comics and manga, but their niche and a majority of their stock has to do more with smaller indie comics, especially queer stories.Which, I must say, is a breath of fresh air! I've come to love so many unique comics that I would have never had the pleasure of reading before learning about this place. The staff are LGBTQ+ friendly, and often queer themselves, which means they're all pretty knowledgeable on the queer side of comics, alongside a plethora of other genres, and topics. My purchases so far have all been wonderful, including Girls, Full Court Crush, The Sprite and the Gardner, Prince of Cats, and Girl Juice.I recommend every story!Beyond comics, they also offer cute little pins, dice that will warm any dice goblins heart, and a handful of other wonderful little trinkets and flair. If you're passing through Fremont, or are already looking for your next comic to consume, please support Outsider Comics!

Michael Dwyer: This is a comic store for people who think they don't like comics. It is not the LCS for DC and Marvel fans. But for people who want *experiences*, it is not to be missed. It is packed to the rafters with such a broad selection that you'd never be able to find what you want. But that's the other magic part: the staff who welcomed me quickly figured out what I liked and pointed me to books I'd never heard of and would never have even known existed.

Lisa Zinkie: Super cute store with lots of newer graphic novels and tons of fun items. Super sweet customer service too.

זאַב: Outsider Comics is teeming with adventures, stories and humanity. There is something for everyone and the co-op owners are happy to join you on your graphic novel journey, making suggestions and learning about you as a customer. I could not recommend this shop enough!

David Anthony: Love this place!!! So much packed into a lovely and cute store!

Miranda Bradley: I found so many fun comics. This place is a delight.

Eric Yurko: staff, cozy atmosphere, and a lot of great comics! Picked up several I have always wanted to buy.

Seth Halleran: Extremely friendly local comic store. Well worth a visit

B L M F Literary Saloon: what do users think?

eric williams: It’s been years since I lived in Seattle, but what I remember the most is the used bookstores. On a recent visit, I discovered the Literary Saloon, and I was reminded that there really are the most amazing used bookstores there.Mr. Johnson is the most masterful curator/literary merchant I have encountered on my most recent trip. He was happy to help, but really happy to let me look through every single pile like a crazy completist freak. Please, must be seen to be believed. If you are a thoughtful, smart, and widely read…this is where you will likely lose two hours of your vacation in the essays section.

--: . I spent an hour viewing different books, which felt doable with the smaller space and foot traffic from many visitors coming and going. Folks with mobility issues may or may not be able to have adequate space to move around in the store. I was not disappointed by the titles I came across, so it looked like there was something for many people to enjoy and pique their interest. The owner was welcoming and chill, they would walk around the store to ask if customers were finding everything ok and offering assistance. There was no overbearing tone or sarcasm from them, they were just a literary saloon owner who wanted to help. I appreciated that, and found many titles to add to my wishlist for a future visit and for purchase. I even got a free B L M F themed bookmark with the book that I bought, which I thought was a nice gesture. The condition of the store was clean, the floors were swept regularly, so the only things left on the ground were mats and books overflowing from the shelves. To me, B L M F Literary Saloon is a book haven and is up there with the bookstores that I have visited, easily in my top five. I will definitely do business here in the future, thank you so much for an excellent experience!

Amanda C.: When you walk in and it’s almost floor to ceiling books, you know it’s going to be good. The best kind of maze and some really cool and interesting books.

Matt Barnes: Stopped by while visiting Pike Place. They had a wide selection of graphic novels, which really surprised me, and I left with some great reads!

Stephan Gonzalez: This is the best store I have visited in years! Wasn’t looking for anything but found something at a wonderful price. The store clerk knows where everything is, very nice guy. A must visit.

Damon Hawk: stories. Thought you’d be interested!

Steven Morris: The fella in the store helped us find local authors, going in depth about their significance and a description of their stories. Great place!

Karin D.: . I found several books to purchase, which is quite the feet considering my current TBR pile. We will definitely visit again!

Ranjani Srinivasan: Cute second hand bookstore. Can find most titles you're looking for, but runs a little pricey in my opinion. Each book is priced ~ 60% of the original price.

Jane Wallis: A fabulous place, lovely selection, and a unique, wonderful and helpful curator. Great music playing, chill ambience. Could have spent all day here.

Bill Richards: Lovely place, love second hand book places with bloody friendly staff

Lion Heart Book Store: what do users think?

Jeremy Webster: Great selection of rare and beautiful literature. I picked up the Tao Te Ching. It changes things if you read Tao as path. Thank you for sharing it with me.

Karma: Great store! Has $1.00 books too ❤️

Trinity The Tuck: Cute book store. Fun location!

Daniel Smith: Love it! Nice little store with a large selection. Friendly and helpful staff. I will say, some signage in Pike Place Market on the ground floor or near entrances would be helpful, as it was a little difficult to locate when the suite # starts with a 5 and the floor the bookstore is on is 4.

Amanda C.: Very cute store with a nice selection. Stop in!

Kris C.: The owner welcomes you and offers direction. I have found some reads along with postcards with lovely art displayed on them here! Bookmarks, journals, and postcards are a must to tie together a bookstore and they're found here. This is a small, quirky little bookstore that you must walk into while in the Pike Place area!

Epic Heart Healing: Highly recommend this charming bookstore. It has an awesome assortment of titles to choose from. Above all, the atmosphere and the owner are vibrant, friendly, whimsical, and welcoming! My husband and I loved visiting this past week and meeting the owner David and browsing through the books! What a lovely bookshop. Also, his books are very reasonably priced. Visiting Lion Heart was our favorite part of this weekend. Check it out! You'll be glad you did!!!!

Angel Olmos: I LOVE bookshops and this is the first one I stumbled past on my trips to Seattle, so I peaked my head in. What happened next was the nicest man poked his head out from behind the counter and greeted me with the most kindness and generosity I would’ve never expected from a stranger. Never before had I met a person with such a bubbly and upbeat personality than him. He regaled me tales of all the books I took interest in, and he was very knowledgeable on just about everything. Unfortunately, I left the store wanting to pick up some Camus but he had just sold his last copy the day before. Despite not buying a thing he was appreciative of me stopping by and hoped I’d stop by again. So two years later, that’s what I did. Out of all the time that had passed one memory stood out to me from pike place, and it was this very bookstore. So I’m my return I went looking for it and lo and behold that same upbeat demeanor found me again. I exchanged pleasantries and he greeted me in that same pleasant attitude. This time however was different, he had Camus! So I stocked up on the books I wanted and with great appreciation sent me on my way. It was fate that I saw him again, recently his mother had become Ill-and so he hasn’t been able to be open all the time, and that’s partly a reason why i believe he enforces a mask policy at his store but it’s a small price to pay for the livelihood of his family and those around him and that’s something I can deeply respect. Rarely do you meet a person who stays in your head over such a tumultuous time and I have got to tell you, this is one such person and place I highly recommend you stop by and do you your shopping at.

Alexander Cole: Came to Seattle for new years. My favorite part was meeting David, the store's owner. We had a lovely chat about the book I purchased. But the most valuable thing I left with was the interaction. Will definitely be coming in here everytime I'm in town.

Neel Venugopal: The owner has a glowing personality and can answer any question you have about anything in the store. Truly a great experience, and can't recommend it enough if you like walking in book stores.

Brian Rowe: Cozy bookstore with a friendly worker behind the counter. I got 3 interesting books for less than $15! My new fav local bookshop.

David Parajon: Buy books here when in Seattle.

Kyle Langston: Great store, good selection and a fun overall experience. The shopkeeper, David, is very friendly and enjoys chatting with people and getting to know you. Definitely check it out if you’re in the Pike Place Market area!

Kyle Giddings: The store owner is the gem of Seattle, the books are great as well.

Jane Doe: Absolutely adored both the owner and the store! Great collection of books, including- Amish romances. Loved the owner, a fabulous experience

Tate: The most intimate open mic night in Seattle. Highly suggest coming by and purchasing a pastry to support the shop

Giorgina Rizzello:

Véronique Maucor: Отличный клуб карате

Arcane Comics & More: what do users think?

John Gabel: Nice place for new and back stock comics. Decent prices overall, a few high cost books, but overall, it's a good comic bookstore!

Anthony Spriggs (Keeko): Always helpful to me as I reintroduce myself to comics. It's going on 5 years now and I'm very glad to have these folks here!

Alex Loumos: Great local comic shop, with friendly staff and a wide selection of comics for kids and adult fans.

Dana Lopez: I was frantically searching for a particular single issue the other day and a quick call to Arcane proved fruitful! The wonderful staff was able to search their inventory and let me know they found it and would be holding it for me. Quick and helpful!

Kirby York: Bar none my favorite shop, there's a VERY indie friendly selection, there's a kids, toys, and games selection. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and have great discussions! There is a particular ease of entry to getting a folder. This is a comic shop that is definitely comics, I would push this place more if I could.

Sean Kuhlmeyer: Great comic store!

zach henson: Awesome, friendly shop!

Richie Magpayo: Comics, manga, graphic novels, game boards and character figures. I'm a casual reader but since kiddo has taken to reading graphic novels, and being a huge kaiju fan, this shop so close to home is a new favorite. The staff is friendly and was a wealth of knowledge for us newbies.Recommend a visit!

colin elliot: It has a friendly kids and young adult section, but the toy selection could be better. There are a bunch of comics behind a desk that you can't get to which is kind of a weird vibe but overall its chill, and well worth a visit!

Jay Griffin: Great place your comic needs

Lisa Cathey: Great prices! Great selection!

Adam Alkhouly: Favorite comic book shop now.

Dino Miciano: Great staff and the best comic store in town.

Half Price Books: what do users think?

Travis Madison: Very helpful

Will Maguire: Great place for books. I like coming here.

Kat Wilkins: I bring my used books and cd's here and staff is always helpful and nice.

Michelle K. Sublett: but they had a good selection. Was looking for LGBTQ fiction, which is difficult to find, but we ended up purchasing some DVDs. Clean and good salespeople.

Ken Huynh: Wonderful place to find books. Even my 9 year old kid excited

Mark Hume: Great products, great selections, great prices.

Stephen C. Hayes: Was looking for Poulini's book, MURTAGH to buy. Had to order it.Also found 5 DVD MOVIES, FOR $2.00 apiece. Checked out everything in the store. Was quite busy, for a Wednesday. Checked out their written music shelf. Nothing was available for the kind of music that I was looking for. But, I still think that HALF PRICE BOOKS is a great place to get hard to find articles

Ben Kappler: Great selection of books at affordable prices. I purchased a DND book here for my brother. It had an alternate art cover that typically fetches a high price but they were selling at an attractive discount. They also buy Pokemon card bulk, albeit at a very average rate.

Chris: Great selection of sci-fi/fantasy books! Fair prices as well

Keith Johnson: Best bookstore!

Jordan: Grab a book and head to cafe for an amazing meal!

F Williams: This is such a great bookstore! They have a wide variety of topics, all excellently stocked. The staff is super helpful as well! There is a great cafe/restaurant connected to the bookstore that you should definitely check out during you're visit! I would recommend the Chai!

Josh A: Great bookstore. Huge selection, really cool inside. Staff was super friendly. I have a friend who isn't a strong reader, and they were very helpful with him.

Left Bank Books Collective: what do users think?

Kate Powell: Excellent selection of graphic novels/comics, plus political theory, history, and gender studies, but even beyond their areas of focus, they always have something interesting I've never seen before or elsewhere.I personally really appreciated the mask policy, especially considering how hard it must be to ventilate that space.Customer service was excellent, and the vibes are immaculate.

Richard Bond: . Buy a book for yourself, get another for a prisoner

Renae Lynch: Shop here. Their selection is unmatched. They provide a delightful safe space in the neighbourhood ❤️💛🖤

Mars Jacobsen: Amazing selection of authors and titles! The poetry section was my favorite. I love poetry by trans authors, and there was plenty of new content to enjoy. I also really appreciate that masks are both required and provided. Even in 2024, it's an important part of community care, especially in a location that brings people from across the world to enjoy all that Seattle has to offer.

Mandy Gillis: My favorite bookstore in Pike Place Market! Super cute space with an incredible selection of LGBTQ books, in addition to other great reads. The sci-fi, fantasy, and non-fiction sections are fantastic!

Jillian Adams: Sweet lil, indie, book shop with anarchist, LGBTQIA+ support, great finds and a perfect way to ensure you can explore global views and perspectives. Love.

Nikita: Cool place, lots of zines in the back and I always come away with a new book I didn’t plan on reading

Syranda Wiley de Navarro: Really loved the selection in this bookstore!

Alice Garner: Amazing bookstore with the best decor and very friendly staff! I was sad they were out of the book selection I wanted but that’s ok! Great anarchist bookstore with a decent Black Studies selection too!!
