He ask me a few questions, and then he gave me a tooth pick to try resetting the radio. The radio works fine now, I never would have thought about resetting it. Thank you so much. I had initially made the mistake of going to Car Toys- where I sat in a fishbowl of a waiting room for 7 hours only to leave empty handed as nobody there knew how to install a CarPlay stereo. Duane M: In a world where "quiet quitting" is becoming the norm, Ballard Custom Audio is a local company where they they take pride in the excellence of their work and it shows in all your interactions with them. My wireless Carplay Alpine installation worked great, sounds great, looked like a factory installation, but the GPS signal was erratic. After multiple sim card changes, and a new phone from Apple, we finally figured out the GPS antenna needed to be moved. Ballard Custom Audio did it without charging me again. The attitude is what is great, not nickel and diming you to death, just solving your problem and teaching you how to use your new gear rather than leaving you to figure it out on your own. They were interested in solving my problem, not making more money off me. Work is pristine, fairly priced, they treat your car and your time with respect. Highest recommendation.

john And: for getting me all fixed up a few weeks ago. My rig was lacking sound with the "so called" premium set up it had coming from the dealership. Nothing was premium prior to my pit stop of stereo warehouse.This whole crew was positive vibes. Very knowledgeable in the industry having grandfathered amps plastered on the wall taking you back in time to the latest systems you can dream of. Showed me around the shop with all the set ups they had and took care of me like I was one of their own brothers. Prices couldn't be beat nowhere, but i can't put into words the hospitality they shared with the excellent customer service. I came from many zip codes away, and it was so worth the extra commute.

Josh Gifford: Amazing service, above and beyond. I live in Anchorage, AK and I was looking to upgrade to McIntosh gear and high end B&W. There are no dealers up here for that equipment, so logistically this could be challenging. When I called Definitive Seattle to discuss audio gear and upgrading my system, Mel Mesick took the call. Immediately, we clicked and throughout the entire proceess from up here to listening in the showroom, he went above and beyond any other salesman I have ever worked with. The knowledge and expertise he has at his fingertips will blow you away. I have only come across a couple salespeople in my life that have been this knowledgeable. He spent hours over the phone and in person discussing options, suggesting cost effective solutions, coordinating the listening session, and expertly shipping and crating all the equipment to a standard I have not experienced before. In the end, the system is beyond what I could imagine and I consider Mel a friend as much as a salesman. Thanks again Mel!

In fact, my original salesperson from back in 1990, Tom, is still working in the store! I am a rare upgrader, but it came time for an all-new system, which for me this time meant going all digital. This time around I worked with Paul, and he has been fantastic. He has always been happy and ready to back up his beliefs and statements with real-world demonstrations for me to hear. I spent many hours with Paul on many different days, and he was always the most pleasant and helpful person, whether I showed up unannounced or at a prearranged time. Ultimately, after shopping around and listening out of town to speakers that were not available in Washington, I again purchased at Definitive. They know what they are doing, we put together what I wanted in my budget, and they can simply deliver. And, the support through all of this has been awesome! Ty Miller: Absolutely 100% enjoyable experience purchasing from Definitive. And more specifically Carrie, who stuck with me for weeks as I bounced around from speakers to preamps to streamers. Turns out everything I thought I wanted initially, wasn't actually the best solution and she really helped me find the right component to do what I wanted. And better, this piece is so nice I can't believe it. Who knew changing from an AV receiver using pre-outs to a Streamer/DAC would have such a major impact on the sound, but it did and it is a significant difference. Like going from DVD to 4K UHD. Thats the only thing I can compare it to in terms of me being "wow" when I first set it up.So much for internet research, highly recommend you have Carrie help you when you're looking for hifi components!

George Pappas: Fantastic experience at the Audio Connection! John is incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with an education rather than a sales pitch. He was patient with our questions, respectful of our budget and gave us lots of time to listen and try out different components with a variety of music. We left confident we had made a great purchase from a true expert with a wealth of experience. His follow through with details was something rare and special—he trimmed and prepped our cables, professionally set up our turntable, taught us proper technique for cleaning records-- then called to make sure our set up went well! Brian Warn: This shop is a true gem in the Seattle stereo gear sales and repair landscape. I found the store after looking for places that are able to perform tuneup and repair work on a late-70s turntable I was given and have had on a shelf at home for over 10 years. John not only tuned it up, but had some great cartridge and rewire recommendations that will make the turntable sing. Along the way, I discovered in his store an excellent bookshelf speaker pair that I will be purchasing today and a phenomenal Marantz CD player that I'll also be picking up and adding to the vintage stereo system that I'm currently assembling.Shops like this one are hard to find and I'm glad I found John's store.
Amy Vonk: I'm so glad I found this shop. I had a headshell with a broken wire that John repaired for me and then recommended and installed a cartridge for my turntable. He then spent a good amount of time perfectly balancing the tonearm and my records have never sounded better. I also picked up a record cleaning brush which he taught me to use properly. He really knows his stuff and I enjoyed watching him work and chatting with him. I'll definitely return when I'm in the market for better speakers.

Lester White: Out of town for work. Was looking for something to do. Stopped by to see what they had. They carried Harbeth speakers. I have read reviews on these but had not had a chance to listen . The got a pair out for me to audition. This is a great place .Very friendly staff. A look of different equipment, new and used. Wish they were located in my home state of MA.

Thy: I took my old school Cadillac here to have them fix my power cord to my amp, because my subwoofers were not working. They fixed my power cord and my subwoofers still weren't working, but they help me figure out the problem and fixed it in like 45 minutes. The stereo system I have installed in my car has an app with system settings and I didn't realize that my subwoofers we're turned off. Not only did they figure all that out and fixed it, but they taught me how to adjust my subwoofers to my liking. Extremely warm welcoming as I entered the store and it was my first time here. Very professional and the service is amazing. I'll definitely come back without a doubt when I need other work done to my car. The price was super reasonable and well worth it. Such a blessing, if you're looking for custom audio installation or anything for your car, you should definitely pull up.

Mark: Overall I had a good experience with Foss of Tukwila and I would return for future business. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was waffling between a lesser quality stereo deck and one with more modern features. I changed horses the day before the install because the quality built into the Kenwoood was far more superior. The sales person acted as a consultant and guided me through the process.The install of my new Kenwood is clean and sounds great. I definitely feel that if I have a problem, the shop will take care of the issue. I also noticed that the lobby was busy but they were sure to keep track of who was next and were respectful to everyone which I can appreciate.I don’t give 5 star reviews but this one gets 4.5

Seth Lay: I recently bought a 2001 Lexus GS 430 with the factory Nav and Mark Levinson system. However I wanted to upgrade my sound system and went to big box stores like Best Buy and Car Toys to see if they were able to help in the matter. The answer I got was nope they don’t have the correct harness for it or no the car is to old and it would cost way to much to require the entire vehicle. I almost gave up but found Foss Audio on Google search. I came in and spoke to Nate the Front Desk Manager about what I wanted to do with the vehicle and also went over some options to enhance my audio. Man he blew me away with so much knowledge and also the pricing. His guys took cared of my car and revived the sounds system. It sounds amazing and it was well worth the price. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in upgrading there car systems to speak to Nate at Foss Audioin Tukwila! Those guys are the bests!

Soufiane: This record store in Seattle is hands down my favorite! It's so well put together. The owner always suggests the best stuff, spot-on based on what I've liked before. It's all about that 'less is more' vibe here. Plus, the records come with detailed notes, which is super helpful. Really hope this place sticks around! Huge shoutout to the owner for the awesome recommendations. I appreciate it a ton!
Nathan Miller: A small music store with a fairly light selection. It's wide open inside with loads of space to move. There are some CDs in all genres, although it's not comprehensive for any and felt weak compared to other stores in the area. Same goes for records. You won't be able to dig here for hours to find that hidden gem since they're all on the surface.

Josh Bell: Still the best, most interesting and eclectic record shop in town.

Julian A: I used to have two favourite record shops in the States. Rebel Rebel in New York which is sadly no more and Wall of Sound in Seattle. I have been coming over ,irregularly, from the UK to their emporium of records for some 15 years plus. It’s run by two partners and what I like is that their recommendation are always excellent but subtly different. One prefers a classical more funk bent where as the other prefers in my view the beauty of the lyrics. It is one of the best sites in Seattle and I hope exists for many more years.
