I used to be one of those geeky followers that logged in to watch services from California. I'm a huge fan of Dr. Kathianne Lewis, the spiritual director. She is one of our greatest teachers in all of Centers for Spiritual Living globally. When I found out about the job opening, I jumped at the opportunity to work for one of our living luminaries. All meditations are preceded by a gong sound bath to realign a person on a cellular level. If you have not experienced a gong sound bath, run, do not walk to Guru Gayatri for this not-to-be-missed experience.Guru Gayatri experienced teachers bring their own special spark to kundalini yoga and the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. A beautiful way to check it out is by going to the Sunday morning class at the Fremont Abbey. Not only is this a beautiful space usually reserved for musicians

Marilyn Smith: Kundalini Yoga is surprisingly different than other yogas. The yoga center Guru Gayatri focuses on the whole system- mind, body and spirit to a great effect. In addition to targeted yoga poses, there is an emphasis on meditation and breathing exercises. Lots of conscious breathing. As a Vipassana meditator, I recognized the immediacy and effectiveness of Kundalini yoga, and am now a regular practitioner. Highly recommend.

Ken S: I recently read a rather critical and highly opinionated review piece by a Mr Thorsteinson who doesn't even seem to have been a student of PA. Worse yet, his total lack of understanding of psi and how extended sensory awareness works and the years of legitimate research backing this most basic elements of human consciousness, was instead replaced by an utter skepticism bordering on intellectual arrogance. Well, as they say, no light can ever enter a shuttered mind. As a prior student of PA, I will say it was a positive, and extremely useful way to open to one's intuitive/psychic abilities in a safe and supportive environment. Madeline keeps the experience light and positive and draws to the school some really amazing folks, some of whom, I am still honored to call friends. I've spent many years investigating human potential and psi phenomena and can unequivocally recommend Psychic Awakenings to any student seeking a deeper understanding of their own latent psychic gifts, which will most certainly find fertile ground for growth and development under Madeline's guidance.
