Sam: These guys are great! I honestly pass the store all the time and thought it was just a lumber yard. The team was super helpful, I needed a unique temporary fix to get water from my sink to a hose and fast! They came up with a genius solution and it worked great!! I will be using them all the time! Their selection of screws and fasteners is impressive!

It’s like the Mary Poppins bag of hardware stores— you’d think it would only hold so much, but then you name and they have it! From custom lumber cutting to an entire paint center to random magnets I needed for a project. And I cannot stress enough just how wonderful the staff is. Mike Carlson: This visit to Lowe's was very quick and pleasant. I only needed a bath faucet diverter kit which I looked up online before heading to Lowe's. I was able to find the kit without any issues. All the aisles were well marked and there were plenty of employees available should I have needed to ask for assistance. I went midmorning in a weekday. Parking was not an issue and going through the self checkout was quick and easy.

Nelson Jay: . Then some months later I purchased a line trimmer that uses the same battery. Both tools have been terrifically solid and well-suited for our corner lot with a mid-sized lawn and various planted beds and pathways. Fast forward to last week when I plugged in the normally trusty battery, and "poof"! Nothing happened. Silence. Normally the charger lights up and a fan kicks on to cool the unit while charging. After checking a few plugs to make sure it was the charger or battery, I took both pieces to Ace Maple Leaf. Shout out to Floor Manager Caleb who quickly troubleshot the offending charger and declared it was the culprit. He ducked into the back, rummaged around and produced a working charger, then sent me on my way. I SO appreciate when people like Caleb are empowered to make things happen. Another example of the excellent customer service at Maple Leaf Ace. The entire floor team at this store is dedicated to customer service and making their very best effort to make sure you are helped and off to your next project. GO TEAM! Thank you, Ace Maple Leaf.

David Miller: Maple Leaf Ace Hardware is a small little store that is useful for small, quick shopping visits. I'm always able to find what I need, and there is usually not a line to check out. My only issue with this store is the prices. I understand that it is a small locally owned store that may not be able to compete with Home Depot for example, but things seem to be several dollars if not more expensive than I would find them elsewhere.Other than that, they have a great selection of products and the location for me makes weekend chores go smoothly. I will continue to shop there.

As it turned out, I was looking for the wrong size. Luckily, the super knowledgeable person named Jeff pointed that out to me by looking at the screw I brought with me, and showed me the correct ones to buy. I don't know what to do without them.

Nate Venckus: I walk in, mouth agape. Next thing I know, a Yuma Myotis is headed straight for my face. Before I can react, a Mexican free-tailed swoops from the left, going for my eyes. Both bats are clearly being controlled by employees of this store.I miraculously escape serious injury when, just as I think the assault is over, an aluminum little league heads straight for my abdomen. I keel over in pain, the air expelled from my lungs. As soon as I catch my breath, I look up to see an Ace Hardware employee staring down at me condescendingly, head shaking and finger pointing to a sign that reads, “Masks Required.”I can’t help but laugh. Not only am I an animal lover, but I can’t get enough of a good practical joke — especially in today’s society! This place gets two thumbs up from me. I’ll be back next time I’m in need of some old-fashioned fun!

Selina Luna: Shout out to this amazing hardware store, today coming off the freeway from Kirkland our upper radiator hose burst and the car started over heating... we pulled over and called our mechanic who's shop was about 15min away and counting due to traffic 😑. My husband went over to the entrance and was greeted by a very nice gentleman who was very aware and helpful with our situation. He showed him to some tape for a quick fix and even to a water spicket to fill the radiator. Thanks to the Employee who helped my husband out we made it to the shop and got the car running as good as new! He didn't catch your name but thank you from us both!

Dave Barth: Water heater purchase and installation. Less than half the price of the two estimates I got from plumbers. Got an estimate over the phone and had it installed a couple days later. No upsells or problems. If you're just swapping out one water heater for a similar one, that's very straightforward and a plumber is going to charge way too much.

This morning in less than 10 mins he fixed my table giving me back my closet and helping create a breakfast nook I have dreamed of. I am so happy and grateful for the extra attention. Philip L: I am very pleased with the results of working with GS Building Supply. My agent was Brandon and he was unfailingly patient and helpful. I had some hiccups with my layout needs - a gap between the current tile floor and the new cabinets was about 1" and we needed to come up with a plan to hide it - but they were all taken care of.Just remember - they don't do electrical, plumbing or tear out of the old kitchen cabinets. Otherwise, good luck to you.

Kelley Johnson: I love this store! It's a true blue old school hardware store that almost always has what I need as a fix it myself homeowner and gardener. Great tools, supplies, plus the more fun necessities in all housewares every season including specialty items. You could stock your whole kitchen with quality things from here plus have great gifts and kid's stuff too. The staff is totally accessible and knowledgeable and nice and I can be in and out fast. I go several times a month and can avoid all the big stores that take too much time and are harder to navigate and often disorganized. I highly recommend trying our small stores first and this one is exemplary. Plus it smells like a real hardware store and just opening the door is a pleasure to my senses. Long live tradition that is high functioning and prices are no more than the big stores, and often less. 5 stars and this review is long overdue for how much I love it. Going there now for 2" nails, a garden tarp, bathroom cleaning wipes, laundry soap, a new teapot, and to return some electrical supplies that I ended up not needing.

Jacob Dwyer: Go to a big box store if you want cheap materials and nonexistent customer service. Come to Stewart if you want quality merchandise competitively priced, with exceptional customer service from knowledgeable staff who quietly, consistently get the repeat business from the pros that know. There are only a few legacy lumber yards in Seattle, Stewart has been around for as long as they have because they do it all correctly. Thanks you guys, I have had several successful jobs with Stewart Lumber's help.

Everyone takes their time and ensures they answer all your questions and share their knowledge. This means sometimes you wait while staff is helping someone, but it's worth the wait! Will keep coming back for the awesome and knowledgeable staff!---My 8yo has gotten into whiddling and I didn't know where to start. Charles was a huge help. I did have to approach someone to ask for help. I found that was a bit more difficult because it didn't seem like the employees had identifying name tags or uniforms and I came when some were on their lunch break, so I asked the person at the register. But to me that seems like a minor thing. If you want help, ask for it.Very glad I came here.

Hiya There: Friendly staff helped us find rare pieces we needed for furniture hardware we couldn't find anywhere else even online. This store is awesome and staff is amazing and knowledgeable. Love this place and I have told everyone about it. I'll keep traveling here from Bellevue to get what we need. They have so much stuff and their window display is cute to lol. Ty guys for your help.
