Seattle Voice Academy: what do users think?

Wesley Eagle: including the "Beginner VO," "Audiobook," "Video game," and "Promo" classes. Each course provided a unique and valuable learning experience. The curriculum is well-structured, allowing for comprehensive exploration of various facets of voiceover work. Whether it was diving into the intricacies of audiobook narration, capturing the essence of video game characters, or mastering the art of promotional voiceovers, each class offers valuable insights and practical skills.Shana, the owner of Seattle Voice Academy, is an exceptional instructor who brings a vibrant and engaging energy to her teachings. Her passion for the field of voiceover is evident, and her wealth of knowledge and experience make her an invaluable resource. Shana goes above and beyond to help students identify their strengths and providing constructive feedback and guidance every step of the way. Her teaching style is not only informative but also inspiring, creating an exciting and nurturing learning environment. In addition to Shana, I had the pleasure of being taught by Michael Blum, another talented instructor at Seattle Voice Academy. Michael's down-to-earth approach, quick wit, easy pace and direct communication style were instrumental in helping me refine my voiceover skills. His expertise and ability to convey complex concepts in a straightforward manner were invaluable. With Michael's guidance, I gained a deeper understanding of the industry and honed my abilities as a voice talent.Seattle Voice Academy goes beyond group classes

April Stanford: SVA is my go to for all things VO. Shana is a godsend and can take all my money! lol

Brandon Kinney (Wooshbar): I went from knowing nothing to having my own website, Demo tape, and representation at an agency because of SVI. When I was done with the classes they were there for 1 on 1 coaching and now that I have a home studio I do my coaching at home too to make sure we are working on my setup.I knew nothing before and I am becoming a professional because of SVI, I couldn't recommend it enough.

Azurespot: I really loved the Animation/Video Game class! Instructor was super knowledgeable and I want to continue to learn voice over.

Stacey Chow: I really enjoyed learning about the voiceover industry and I had so much fun! The workshop was super informative and Shana is really knowledgeable about the industry

Kayanna Davis VO: Who knew, I’ve been calling it customer service for the last 20 years, but its acting! And I’m good at it. Thanks, SVI for helping me exploring this talent. After taking VO 1&2 I look forward to taking more classes at SVI. I'm excited to jump into the world of VO. All of the instructors are well versed in the business as working VO talent. The class cost and size are great. SVI created a fabulous classroom environment where I felt supported by not only staff but also my class mates.

satyam singh: Nice

B V: Good teacher. Knowledgable. Personable. Honest. Was able to share a number of ways for each of us to improve our acting. We needed to loosen up more, and she helped with that though we needed to loosen up even more! Price seemed reasonable for the amount of content. Was interesting listening to others. Reading 'cold' was interesting though I would have appreciated a bit more time with my copy to get to know it.Cons: The chairs got a little uncomfortable by the end of the day.

Liza Sheehan: We are so lucky to have a resource like SVI here in Seattle. Regardless of any other private or online learning you do for VO, getting together with local VO artists at all stages of their career and deepening your craft and business chops under the guidance of excellent teachers is priceless.

Amy Walker: Shana is really great. I do a lot of public speaking in my job and I started working with Shana to improve my presentation skills for both live and online presentations. I have enjoyed working with her and I would highly recommend her. Thanks, Shana!

Alyssa Stock: I've found the guidance at Seattle Voice Institute to be excellent, and exactly what I was looking for, in my professional goals. As someone in an intermediate place in my singing career, Shana and Heather were able to point the right direction forward in several areas that have needed work. They are personable, professional and have a comfortable space for lessons and different kinds of work. I found them through the glowing reviews listed here, and have found them accurate!

Joe Madsen: I really like working with Shana. She really knows the ins and outs of the Voice Over business and is very professional. Besides that, she's really easy to work with and gives great direction. I look forward to working with her and the Seattle Voice Institute

Symantha Reagor: I've had such an amazing time studying at the Seattle Voice Institute. I found them when I did a search for vocal coaches after I was diagnosed with severe vocal cord dysfunction. I needed a coach who could teach me breathing exercises and help me retrain my vocal cords to function properly and the coaches at SVI provided me with such great support and education that my VCD is under control now. My voice is stronger and healthier than it has ever been.

Ty Anderson: Shana is doing a fantastic job of getting my Video game demo produced and I always have a great experience when I take classes or have demos made.

Debbie soelter: Amazing amount of useful knowledge given and presented in an engaged entertaining way!

Dave Tucker: provides coaching that is up to the minute based on the industry standards, because these instructors are immersed in the industry. Each question is answered with the gravitas of personal experience, not merely a list of best practices. SVI’s instructors are deeply rooted in the Voice Over community – locally, nationally, and internationally. With instruction that in comprehensive, interactive, and highly entertaining, the SVI team has propelled me forward in my Voice Over quest, trimming years from my learning curve by maneuvering me around common pitfalls and potential mistakes. This is possible only because these instructors have already witnessed

Adrien Gamache: The place to go for voice training and to produce a first class demo reel. Gin and Shana are professional and well organized. They know the creative side of voice work and they know the market.

Michael Soma: SVI is a GREAT place to learn what you need to know to start your VO career, the staff is top notch and Gin and Shana take you step by step in your training. I have been to 4 different classes and have learned so much it boggles my mind. I have taken what I have learned and now have 7 audiobooks out. I can't say enough about Seattle Voice Institute, they really care and it shows.

Kramer Burton: These guys really know their stuff! Shana made it a blast to learn and I am looking forward to learning more from everyone.

Meany Center for the Performing Arts: what do users think?

William Potter: Awesome venue!

Tom Vail: Not a bad seat in the house! And, great sound.

Paul Peterhans: It is an exquisite venue where the performances are amazing and the people who work there are so friendly and kind.

Pablo Zayas: Meany is my favorite theater for all dance performances. It's an intimate theater where all seats have a great view of the stage.Add a wonderful set of people helping around and you got an excellent few hours of entertainment. Parking is conveniently located to place you right at the entrance of the theater.

M Martinson: Great music venue

Yuval Hamudot: Beautiful auditorium

Lis Weller: Good to be back, the ambiance is excellent and all the people very nice. There only drawback to an older building is the bathrooms are in the basement and our seats and the water fountain on the balcony but the performances are usually worth it.First dance of '23-'24 season was Grupo Corpo which we usually look forward to but this year although the dancing was incredible, as always, the acts were too long and very repetitive.

P. E. McKee: Dance performances are uniformly excellent. Concessions at intermission are a little ad-hoc, sometimes great sometimes meh. After performances the whole audience tries to fit through one door to the stairs and one slow elevator

Zhutian Yang: The improv soup opera was so fun!

Jessica Kay: Always a good time with this Improv group!

Cameron Crabtree: Super funny. Good experience to be around people and watch a live show! They do ask if the crowd has suggestions so a chance to participate!!

David Klein: Great show. Haven't laughed that much in a while.

Julian Haahs: Best theater in the PNW.

Reid Rohrich: Very impressive what they do. Some of the seating isn’t great so make sure to get there early if you’re with a bigger group.

Adam Konig: I go here infrequently for various improv shows throughout the year. Great local theater big fan

Haleh Nekoorad Long: Great little comedy club. Tasty cocktails at a great price $8 each!

Jackie H: Fun way to spend a night laughing with friends!

Joe: It is allways an unexpected and original show filled with laughs and surprises. Book it for an affordable and memorable outing and a nice introduction to the theatre for the younger set, too. Theater is small enough that any seat is good, though some are a bit worn with time.

Mike E: A great Date night destination. The Christmas Carol show was very well done.

Kayti Karle: I've been to this show a number of times and I always recommend it!! The Theatersports show is my favorite and is always funny!

Pacific Northwest Ballet: what do users think?

Sazi Wald: . Just wanted to give kudos to the amazing staff and dancers!

Robb Montejano: Wonderful school and instructors! They really care about the kids health and well-being!

Miss Marple: Great theater! The Chinese ballet - simply great!😍

Swanky Christy: Amazing first time experience at McCaw hall ballet. Nutcracker was one of my favorite ballet! It brought me many childhood memories as my mom used to take me when I was a kid back in Europe. Classic Tchaikovsky music was always such a pleasure to listen. I love the costumes, the choreography the music, decorations everything was absolutely amazing.Only one thing I didn't like but it's not ballet related its more to McCaw hall. Coming from Europe and going my whole life to ballet & theatre we have amazing breaks with champagne small bites and fancy crostinis. The beer in plastic cup and selection of some donuts was absolutely disappointing. I took 1 champagne that they forced me to pour in plastic cup and it was so disgusting! I regret I took that drink I couldn't even finish it. I wish choices were more extravagant just like in Europe.

Simon: fun

Alex Free: I recently attended a performance of The Nutcracker by the Pacific Northwest Ballet and was absolutely blown away! The dancers were incredibly talented and the choreography was stunning. The theater itself was beautiful and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend attending a performance if you get the chance!

Sara Gardea: Swan Lake was beautiful. Such a joy to watch

Rebecca Rose: I had the best time seeing Nutcracker! Nice venue, if you have a chance to go to the ballet you definitely should.

S M: Great place to see the ballet. Nutcracker is incredibly family friendly. Gorgeous costumes, beautiful dancing, pleasant atmosphere. Cost is reasonable and there are differing cost tiers that allow you to find something that fits your budget.

David Nold: Swan Lake. Perfectly done. How lucky Seattle is. Four acts so three intermissions. Some great seats still available. Thinking of seeing it twice.

Nibs: First time attending the Nutcracker Ballet. Such a fun evening with family and really kicked off the holidays for us!

Janelle Donovan: before the show starts. It's a lifesaver to not have to stand in the line during the intermission. I would also suggest getting there early for the Nutcracker because they decorate the lobby and it's easier to get booster seats. The show itself was very well done, although I would have preferred not to have the movie in the beginning and middle.

Apurva Zawar: The Nutcracker 2021 was amazingly performed by the brilliant artists.🎉🎉
