Susan Gallotte: The Almquist is such a gorgeous gem of a venue right in the heart of the lower Queen Anne neighborhood. Their bar and barrel room are both beautiful but my favorite part of the whole venue is their greenhouse. You can’t go wrong with any of it!

From the generous venue access time, easy load-in, helpful & accommodating staff, and beautiful details, Almquist easily earned my five stars. I highly recommend taking a tour and imagining the possibilities. Vendors, this is absolutely a venue you want to recommend to your couples!
Helen Smith: . Eggs Benedict was generally good; the eggs were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise was wonderful, but the English muffin was so tough that I couldn't saw through it with my butter knife. Seriously, like shoe leather. The sweet potato hash was very tasty, but it was brought out after everyone had finished their entrees, so most people didn't even bother trying it. The fresh fruit plate was fabulous. Still, despite these small flaws, Almquist WInery put on a near-perfect event! I highly recommend them for your next event.

Almquist has multiple spaces that can work with many different decor styles, and we were able to create the modern, intimate, and colorful wedding of our dreams so easily. All of the staff we worked with went completely above and beyond, and Table Catering served some of the best food I’ve ever had, wedding or otherwise. People who attended our wedding said it felt just like us, and my spouse and I would not have been able to achieve that without the support and excitement that the Almquist team had for our ideas. They completely elevated our event, and I would recommend them to anyone. I’m so happy we chose them for this important event, and can’t imagine our wedding anywhere else!

The recent event was a very intense partying wedding, the kind of even where staff could find it quite stressful, but the staff was incredible. They were polite, helpful and cheerful from start to finish. The venue looked enchanting as well of course.

Stephanie Hernandez: . We had always planned for an intimate wedding of 40 people and this venue was absolutely perfect. As soon as I stepped onto the venue property I knew it was the one. I instantly knew that I wanted to hold the dinner reception and dancing in the greenhouse. We held our cocktail hour inside the restaurant and had our photo booth setup in the restaurant as well. If you are going to book Almquist for your wedding you must work with Table Catering Co.

Catherine Romberger: Great tasting spot in SODO. There’s a very nice patio where you can enjoy a tasting outside. We got five tastings for $15 with the Artisan Experience. All of the wines were great, especially the 2022 Rosé. The servers were very friendly and helpful and kept track of where everyone was in the tasting. We had a large group and they kept everything flowing smoothly. The food was also great and we enjoyed the cheese plate and charcuterie.

Brian LaFaille: Great local winery that’s just down the street from the Starbucks HQ. Stopped in here for a tasting, and the environment is incredible. Great outdoor patio with an indoor tasting environment with various “rooms” that the owners crafted. You can tell the owners took care to decorate the space with intention and care. Definitely worth the stop if you’re south of downtown!
Angie Savela: We used Elsom Cellars for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks. It was the absolute best way we could have started our wedding weekend. Everyone was so nice, the wine fantastic, and the space beautiful. We were able to run a slideshow on their TV which was a hit with our guests. We used their preferred caterer, Red's kitchen and Catering, which was effortless and the food even more delicious. We're looking forward to more glasses of wine at this lovely place.

She helped coordinate with an outside company for the rental of a few tables and chairs to supplement what they had.My friends did a tasting prior to the wedding to help us select wines because we moved away, and they told me the staff were great.I can't comment on the wine because I didn't have any, but my friends loved the grenache! Looking at the itemized receipt, the albarino was also popular.I would host an event here again in the future. Easy to work with, affordable, and a great inside and outside area. They made it really easy!

Paul and the entire staff are the most friendly, accommodating, easy going, informative hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. Dennis and Paul are quite literally walking encyclopedias of wine. Not to mention the wine is, of course, top of the line. The tour of the winery was amazing, there is free growing asparagus you can pick and snack on while walking the vineyard. Youll probably also be greeted by their resident felines Rachel and Nyla. This place really is the whole package...amazing wine, hiking, a sauna, outdoor swings and lounge areas. You could easily kill a couple days staying here....there’s even an airBNB rental! I’ve never had such an amazing host in such a beautiful area. If you’re going to be planning a trip in the area this place is a MUST VISIT.

Laura Alexandra: I always passed by the front of this place and wondered what it was like, until I visited it a week ago. I had the opportunity to meet the staff and try their food and their Locus Cabernet Sauvignon. Everything was super delicious! I loved the humus and the cheese and charcuterie, but my favorite was the double chocolate brownie! It was super tasty. This is a perfect location to taste delicious wine and also to bring a date or spend time with friends.

Kimberly Pham: Delightful little tasting room in the corner of Urbanwork plaza. It has a pleasant vibe and good wine. Service is friendly but pretty slow pace. A friend is a wine member here so we enjoy dropping in once in a while for tasting. This tasting room can be a bit cold during the winter so highly recommend bringing extra layers.The price of the bottle is slightly pricey, most of their bottles are $45.No food is served here so we usually bring our cheese platter.Overall, tasty wine and a nice atmosphere.

I think these wines will probably not be this inexpensive in the future, as the winery gets discovered. Enjoy them while you can still afford them!It is not clear from the website, but they do offer reasonably priced glass pours. Don't miss this winery, if visiting others in the complex.

As a newbie to the wine world, things can be very intimidating, but she made me feel at ease. I learned a lot and enjoyed my time thoroughly.

Christopher Walker: Located at the North end of Boeing Field, with floor to ceiling windows, this is an excellent place to do a tasting flight or buy a false and watch the planes. Standing tables only on the lower floor, and family friendly. Tasting flights are self directed, meaning there are 12 wines available to taste and you can choose any six of them. The knowledgeable and friendly staff is happy to help you navigate the available offerings, in addition to recommended tasting orders. Wines are available by the glass as well, and are an excellent opportunity to sample some of Smith's pricier bottles. Small bits such as cheese and charcuterie are available as well.

You enter a very friendly environment to taste only a few wines and maybe buy a few bottles, but the host was able to read quickly what my wife and I liked and even gave us more wines to taste than the 5 they had scheduled for that day. After the tenth wine I came out with a case of 12 bottles of wines to enjoy now and in a few years.

The spinach and sun dried tomato was incredible!

Kimberly Pham: A while back, I visited a tasting room but didn't find it particularly remarkable, so I never went back. However, tonight I attended an event hosted by a law firm at the same place. To my surprise, I was truly impressed by their Syrah wine. It had a distinctive and uncommon flavor profile, being both peppery and bold, unlike the regular Syrah wines I've tried before. The selection of wines they showcased tonight left a strong impression on me. Given that I live nearby, I have decided to give them another chance and revisit their tasting room. If you happen to be in Urbanwork, I recommend checking them out as well.
Russell Robinson Jr: Structure is amazing! Even a “bad” wine here is better than most, and very affordable. You won’t find more personable and enjoyable owners than Brandee, Brian, and Logan. Highly recommended!

The owners Brandie and Brian are personalable and make the experience incredibly welcoming. You walk out with more than just a wine tasting, you leave feeling a sense of fufuliment and an experience you won’t forget. We joined their wine club on the spot and can’t wait to try their new wines and be a part of their annual release parties!

Tina Burch: Popped in to wait for a table across the alley. Not a wine drinker, so I had a cider. The sommelier poured me a wine dessert, which was fantastic, so we ordered a bottle to go. Very friendly and knew their stuff. If you need a place to hang out while waiting for your reservation or just to taste good wine, this is the spot. It's off the beaten path of the traffic for Pike Place, so not many tourists come in unless they wander off.
Aiman Al Khachi (Chu): 4/8/2023: We came back here because our friend Brad works here and we didn't want to pass up the opportunity of cheese and crackers with a flight or wine. It was the first time we ordered food here and we really enjoyed the cheese and crackers!6/16/2022: Took my mom and my auntie here for wine tasting for the first time in Seattle. The experience was great, and our server was extremely kind. My auntie is new to wine and wasn't finding any of the wines to her liking. Our server brought out another one for free to help satisfy her. She was really pleased ultimately satisfying everyone. I would definitely recommend this place.
William Magill: A quiet hideaway located in Post Alley, the Tasting Room is the perfect spot for a flight sampler, glass, or bottle of wine. In the event you get caught with a long wait at The Pink Door, make your way over to kill some time in an atmosphere that is sure to relax you. The ladies behind the bar are sure to steer you in the right direction if you’re a rookie or wine connoisseur.
Millie Kwan: It has been many years since I've been to The Tasting Room. They specialize in specific local wineries which is fantastic, but it also means that their selection will be limited. Still a great place to meet friends and taste great local wine. It's also not in the really busy part of Pike Place Market so a great place for a chill drink.
hxax: Stopped in as we were waiting for a restaurant table. We were told over an hour but it came to be only 40 minutes. The host was very attentive and quickly checked us out so we can make dinner. The wine was fantastic and they have about 4 different tasting flights you can try. Host mentioned she may do custom flights but not when they are busy.

Aaron Sokoll: The wines were delicious, and Robert was so knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to explain the wines and the vineyard history. It’s clear that his knowledge comes from his love of this wine. The wine is great, so it makes sense. We will definitely be back.

Emily Michael: I grew up near wine country in California and have a very sensitive and picky palate when it comes to wine. I'm overjoyed to have discovered Domanico Cellars! I tasted 9 wines and liked each and every one. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED. Tucked in a low key corner of Ballard, their tasting room is a hidden gem. And dog friendly! If you like very special, high quality wine then don't wait, get there ASAP!

Steve Seely: One of the worst things for me about moving away from the Seattle area was no longer having access to Jason Domanico and his wonderful wines and winery. The wines are excellent, especially for the price. The winery itself is great, great fun; as others have said, a jewel in Ballard. Jason and his team are terrific hosts, it's always a fun time hanging out and tasting his well-crafted artisan wines. You can't go wrong, and...don't assume you'll always be in Seattle and able to take the opportunity!

Eric Rinker: Great wines and the owner does the tastings. Very interesting conversation and if you are lucky he will give you a tour of the production area and regale you with stories about his interesting past doing high-end furniture. Needless to say, one of THE most polished tasting rooms around. Just visiting is worth your time.
Kelly McLean: Website says open for tastings Saturday &Sundays. Hours M-F are 9-5 for bottle sales. Recalled this was fabulous wine. Wish they were open today!

Drew Nash: The owner is fun to chat with and really knowledgeable about winemaking and woodworking. He offers many more wine varieties to sample than any other tasting rooms and they're all fantastic. Very laid back atmosphere and not pretentious like some other tasting rooms in the area. Highly recommended.

P. Kahn: We were so fortunate to be able to take the wine and cheese tasting class with Shelly Fitzgerald in her final version of it prior to the facility closing. Shelly was fantastic and so were the wines and cheeses. The other 3 couples in the class were also super nice which made the whole experience even better. The facility is wonderful and it's surprising that Gallo, who is purchasing Columbia is not also taking ownership of the building. If you can squeeze in a visit prior to closing, I highly recommend it. Thanks Shelly and good luck with you new adventures.

Heather A Adams: Came here for a second time and did the wine and chocolate tasting with 8 of my friends and it was a blast! Thank you Javin for taking care of us!!Hot Tip: you can order from the pizza spot next door and enjoy it with your wine at Patterson!We had a lovely tasting here and we received some great wine knowledge, and brought home a few of our favorite bottles. We received a gift certificate for a tasting here. We didn’t expect to bring any bottles home. Just enjoy the ride. The Chiefs fight was actually really nice and it went great with the wines. There wasn’t many people in there and the service was super sweet yet not overbearing.

We were a little disappointed with the $50 minimum to waive the $25 tasting when most bottles were under $50, meaning they wanted you to buy

The icing on the top is that we had a birthday party at the Sodo tasting room on Saturday, and we had a group of 20-ish people, all drinking VERY enthusiastically.
