Sheryl Kirby: My husband had called and put something on hold. I drove down after work from Everett. The traffic wasn't bad, got there about 9am, they weren't busy, picked up the item and went home. They were friendly and nice guys.

Everyone takes their time and ensures they answer all your questions and share their knowledge. This means sometimes you wait while staff is helping someone, but it's worth the wait! Will keep coming back for the awesome and knowledgeable staff!---My 8yo has gotten into whiddling and I didn't know where to start. Charles was a huge help. Very patient and recommended good entry level options as well as safety ideas for us. We'll be back as the hobby grows!

He also made sure to explain the why of what he was recommending, so I learned things as well.I see some reviews complaining about not being proactively offered assistance by an employee. I did have to approach someone to ask for help. I found that was a bit more difficult because it didn't seem like the employees had identifying name tags or uniforms and I came when some were on their lunch break, so I asked the person at the register. But to me that seems like a minor thing. If you want help, ask for it.Very glad I came here.

Christian Gonzalez: Best wood selection and prices around. You can find the sizes you need of most lumber. I really wish they had some hours on weekends, I would buy much more often if that was possible.
Brian Connolly: A wide variety of wood, and better prices than the big box stores. They sell most hardwoods by the board foot and label each board. Many species you likely haven't heard of before. You can browse to find the piece that works for your project. I haven't used them, but there are a couple bins of cutoff pieces sold by the pound.

Eli 3000: I’ve been a carpenter in Seattle for a long time. I always thought this was a hobbyist kind of place, but finally tried them out for a staircase.This place makes me smile. Lots of really nice material. Competitive prices, from what I’ve seen. It’s like a smaller Edensaw, but they’re way more helpful. And they’re in Seattle. We’re lucky to have them.

Jennifer Washington: . It was the most awkward thing, because they were all standing behind the counter, staring at me until I walked out. I thought maybe as a paying customer who is spending $1000 would be OK making them stay up in five minutes late. But they are so adamant about getting out of there at 4 that it is stressful and awkward and makes me not want to go in the store, but their wood it’s so damn good and one of the only places to get it. I’m sure if you can get in there earlier the guys are very helpful and it is a much more pleasurable experience.

Upon completion of my purchase I was told that my lumber were to be delivered within 2-3 days and on the 2nd day I received a call from Comptons Driver giving me an ETA of 30 minutes and 30 minutes later my order was delivered to my Jobsite and was handled with care and left neatly where requested. The driver along with two other employees were very professional and friendly I highly recommend Compton for all your lumber and other renovation supplies.

Marci Capprini: On a fateful cold rainy Friday October night at 1 am my car started overheating in the jack in the box drive Thur as I was picking up a DoorDash order for $5.75 . Found myself there yesterday post getting a re-use it piece of furniture that needed a little love. Rockler had a piece of hardware that worked. Of coarse I browsed the store and got a few other ideas, and one of the employees gave me a tip to make a V groove cut using a table saw, I could not pay the price of the router bit of the same for just one particular cut at this time. - Thanks. A no sale on that particular one item, but made a customer for future sales. I really appreciate that type of business.

I'm a woodturner and Rockler carries many of the things I use, such as tools, blanks, and exotic lumber. If I was into other types of woodworking, I'd still shop here. They are stocked with woodworking necessities. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Jacob Dwyer: Go to a big box store if you want cheap materials and nonexistent customer service. Come to Stewart if you want quality merchandise competitively priced, with exceptional customer service from knowledgeable staff who quietly, consistently get the repeat business from the pros that know. There are only a few legacy lumber yards in Seattle, Stewart has been around for as long as they have because they do it all correctly. Thanks you guys, I have had several successful jobs with Stewart Lumber's help.
