Teresa Still: Go here!!! Don’t waste your time running around anywhere else. I went to six different places to find awful customer service and nothing even close to what I needed. Matt at Limback was so nice on the phone, took the time to look and see that he had everything I needed which was Red Oak for trim around my front doors. When I arrived he had it setting aside for me, it looked wonderful and worked exactly like I needed it too. The other gentleman loaded it up for me and I was in and out in 10 minutes.They were awesome, I highly recommend!!
Shannon Newman: Limback Lumber has been nothing but spectacular. Lots of options for wood and trim, and they will do some cuts to size at no charge. We needed to order a very thick/large piece of wood for our mantel and they arranged it with their supplier and cut it to size for us. Responsive and nice to work with, and prices are reasonable. Will be going there for all of our wood needs in the future!
Lisa Fitch: These guys are great! This long time lumber company is located in the heart of Ballard. I don't know lumber and construction products at all and was determined to build a catio myself. It was more than I anticipated, but these guys were SO helpful! Not only did they recommend certain products, but one of the recommendations was out of stock. They told me two other places nearby that could possibly stock the part.... then, they took it one step further and two of them got on the phone and called around to find it for me! When I went to the new place to pick it up, they had it waiting on the counter for me. Such service! Definitely 5 stars

Daniel Archer: Limback lumber is an amazing family owned lumber yard serving the ballard and North Seattle area. They sell Douglas fir lumber and have an amazing selection of fir and cedar trim stock. They have a trim area with many trim profiles common to older homes in the area. They can also match your trim. I highly recommend.

Vicki Carey: We had Olympic Deck come out and totally transform our deck and railing. We added light for a pop of color in the evenings that add such curb appeal. Whenever we have a problem, they come out immediately and resolve the issues. I 100% recommend this company.
Douglas Monroe: .The primary "craftsman" for the build was Ilie Sobel. Ilie had helpers when needed, but did the work almost all himself. Every cut and angle was perfect. His skill and competency is un matched. He worked long hours arriving early and staying late until done. Every day he cleaned up his work area and stored tools.Dimitri monitored progress with several visits and made sure supplies arrived when needed. It is rare to find such a qualified and reliable contractor. Everything was done as promised. If you are looking for a deck, Olympic Decks is by far the best in the market! We love our new deck. It was quite a large job, but they knocked it out quickly, efficiently, and with impressive craftsmanship.They were always very professional, and quick to respond to any questions we had about materials and design. We added a staircase to the deck mid project, and they were able to incorporate everything seamlessly.They even came back after the job was done to fix some damage done to the deck by another crew working on our paver patio, no questions asked. Jordan Barr: Dimitri and the crew at Olympic Decks are nothing short excellent. From the moment I engaged them for a bid they were extremely professional, on time, and helpful throughout the process. I had a pretty intense double story deck rotting away that needed removal and rebuilt on a very steep hill and they assured me they could knock it out no problem. They also helped advise through the permitting process and even chased down another engineer when the first one flaked getting me the stamp the city needed. As soon as permits were done, they had a crew out soon after and were there until it was complete. It’s hard to find companies who do good work and even harder to find ones that are responsive. I totally recommend them and will definitely be using them again next time I have a deck project need. The deck turned out gorgeous, sturdy, and sound.

The driver along with two other employees were very professional and friendly I highly recommend Compton for all your lumber and other renovation supplies.

Greg Vetterick: Okay these guys are not polished customer service reps, right? But they can work you up a door quote pretty quick if you have done a little homework in advance. We got quotes in a few door options and settled on a door that was in stock at the distributor to meet our timeline. It took about a week to come in. They called when it showed up, helped me load it into a Home Depot truck, and took the time to make sure the door was in good shape. Couldn't ask for much more than that, really.

Christian Gonzalez: Best wood selection and prices around. You can find the sizes you need of most lumber. I really wish they had some hours on weekends, I would buy much more often if that was possible.
Brian Connolly: A wide variety of wood, and better prices than the big box stores. They sell most hardwoods by the board foot and label each board. Many species you likely haven't heard of before. You can browse to find the piece that works for your project. I haven't used them, but there are a couple bins of cutoff pieces sold by the pound.

I thought maybe as a paying customer who is spending $1000 would be OK making them stay up in five minutes late. But they are so adamant about getting out of there at 4 that it is stressful and awkward and makes me not want to go in the store, but their wood it’s so damn good and one of the only places to get it. I’m sure if you can get in there earlier the guys are very helpful and it is a much more pleasurable experience.

Ben Garry: We used Archadeck for a deck demolition an rebuild to support a hot tub as well as a deck covering, privacy screens, and a small shed. They were a delight to work with. They helped us plan out the space and choose the materials, and when it came to the construction the team was pleasant, communicative, responsive, and most importantly of all did great work. When a few unanticipated issues popped up they were quick to get on the phone and explain what was happening, and dealt very fairly with us on splitting an unanticipated charge that popped up. We're really happy with the construction and even the hot tub installation people remarked on how nice a job it was. We can't wait to spend more time outside in the space.

Raylene Deck: Our experience with Wight's Deck + Design was great. From our first e-mail, they were prompt and thorough. We got multiple bids and choose Wight's because they were honest, upfront about permits and restrictions with our property, and commitment to quality work. Our project was large, involving two decks with one being a hot tub deck. Other builders did not want to move or coordinate with electricians to hook up the tub. Wight's had no issue and took care of it for us which was amazing. The whole building crew were great people. They kept us informed throughout the project and were polite and helpful. Our project did take a lot longer than initially planned due to COVID material supply problems, but I can't fault them for that. In the end our new decks are beautiful and well built. We would definitely recommend working with them!
Julie Hacker: dealing with him. Finally I discovered that he hadn't even gotten the correct permits from the city and had not built to code or even using all the materials in our contract. He was so fired! Thadd and his crew helped make it all right, working with me and the city and an engineer to get all the boxes checked for permitting and code and safety. We now have a new back deck that is beautiful and safe and an amazing covered front porch that we get nothing but compliments on. I wish I had known about Wight's Deck+Design when we were in the planning process. We look forward to working with them again on future projects. Cannot recommend them enough!!!

He was really helpful and made sure I had the exact amount I needed.I didn't get to explore the store since I got there towards closing, but it looked gorgeous - lots of older things and antique things. I feel like I could get lost browsing around.

They ended up offering the most reasonable price compared to the other companies we were getting quotes from. The painting crew led by Yeferson Oliva did a fantastic job patching up numerous holes in the walls and made the walls look brand new! He was professional and communicative and gave me periodic updates on the progress of our project. The project was completed on time as expected. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

Andrew Aiken: If I could give more than five stars to the Queen Ann Painting and Carpentry crew, I would! They were outstanding in every aspect of our project. Cory as the PM was outstanding with communication, scheduling and pricing. And José and the rest of the team on site couldn’t have been better. The quality of their work was excellent, and they stayed late into the evening a few nights to wrap it all up on time.
