I don't think they usually deliver, but they were happy to help me out since I live only a few blocks away. Top service and excellent people. Very competitive prices for the level of finishing and craftsmanship. I stop by occasionally just to see what new and beautiful piece they have in. A neighborhood gem!

The price was quite reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality of the materials and craftsmanship, the amount of work that was put into it, and the fact that it was custom-built. Meredith Hansen Favero: Chris is amazing! He helped us through purchase and finishing a dining table from his lovely shop. Unfortunately, we noticed a few flaws in the wood. He quickly sent out a specialist to do repairs, but we decided that it needed replaced. He was so cooperative with us through this process and even offered to have it picked up since we don't have transport for the table. We look forward to having Tirto as a resource for quality service and furniture in the future!

Couldn't give a stronger recommendation for this store.
Michelly Calzadilla: Cool furniture store that's a lot larger than expected, but pretty far out of the way. Almost everything is wood with neat designs and decent quality. There were a few things we saw, but quite a bit was proportioned for a house moreso than apartment living. Prices were in-line with what you'd expect given the quality and designs. I would have appreciated more variety in colors and materials. I recommend checking it out.

Robin Harrison: We had originally ordered a similar sofa from Apt2B, which is a national major chain, and with a promise of 4-8 weeks delivery time, and no couch after 5 months with no real delivery date in site, we got our money back from Apt2B and headed to Modern Design Sofas here locally in the Central District.BOY, are we happy we did! Service was absolutely fantastic, it was so nice to get to feel them out in person, and the delivery time was VERY reasonable and our sofa is LUXURIOUS. It's my dream couch and all our friends are obsessed.10/10 would recommend them for your sofa-purchasing needs.

Mike Sousa: I am extremely pleased with the service I received at Modern Design Sofas. Josh was great to work with and was patient with me as I took about 3 weeks to mull over some decisions about the size of the sectional and the fabric choice. There was never any pressure whatsoever. He was very helpful in letting me know things to consider when I was deciding on a fabric and gave me several samples to take home to consider. He was also key to me picking out the correct color for the legs that would go best. In addition to the great service, MDS has a very smart and sharp array of designs and styles. I shopped around at several other stores I would always typically go to in years past but I kept coming back to MDS.

Jill Bender: Many of our friends have enjoyed their Modern Design sofa for years. We did our own assessment of sofas available and found the quality and design of the sofas perfect for us. We are very happy with our new sofa and the service was excellent.
Bruce Meyers: Very unassuming store that is jammed full with sofa's & chairs. At first, I thought that most of the designs and colors were not right for my son & his wife. However, two sectionals caught our attention. One had a desireable contemporary design with nice fabric. The second one had a better design and the sofa was about 10 inches wider than the other one. However, the fabric was all wrong. Josh was so helpful when we told him what we were looking for in terms of design, colors, and durability. He showed us several other fabrics that ticked all the boxes for both color, texture, and durability. To our surprise, Josh showed us how we could customize the sofa with a better fabric for no increase in price. We could select the color of the wood legs and for a modest fee we could add 6 button tufting to each of the three sofa back cushions. Both the back and seat cushions were fully reversable and could be serviced at the store if anything went wrong in the future. All of this could be made for us in Los Angeles and delivered in 4 to six weeks. We looked at several chain furniture stores and another local store. Modern Design sofas had the best quality and prices compared to the other stores. We bought a high quality customized sofa with the lowest delivery cost for about what we would have paid at a higher end chain store. Their sofa didn't compare in terms of design or base price fabrics.

Not only did they have an impressive array of fabrics to choose from but the quality, craftsmanship, comfort, service and delivery all exceeded expectations. To top it off, it arrived in only 5 weeks and it was made in the US. We will be in need of another sofa for our home and will absolutely come back to Modern Design Sofas! Julie Busch: as well as larger modern spaces. Most retailers cannot. The price was great and I got exactly what I wanted in a high quality well-designed item, in what looks and feels like a custom fabric, for easily half the price of anywhere in Seattle or generally online. They have a brick and mortar location downtown with design assistance, but you can also order everything online and the owner will contact you about delivery and choices. My custom sofa bed was here in just three weeks.. This store is a well kept secret.
Laura K: . It was easy to schedule delivery, the delivery company brought it up a steep staircase and took away the packaging. It's held up to my dog no problem. This year I easily switched out the legs for some I bought on etsy which changed the vibe of the couch. I love that the couch is US made, and sold by a local seattle business.

One of the chairs we bought there a number of years ago broke, and they sent someone out to fix it free of charge. More recently, we had a great experience buying a special order sectional from Patrik. He was knowledgeable and extremely accommodating as he helped us get the perfect piece at the best price.

Service was very good particularly for the Deco that required some set up. They do charge for delivery but really worth it because it's very personalized and the delivery personnel really know the products. Room & Board is one of the few retailers that when you complete a survey, you know they read it. For the most recent coffee table purchase I had a question and a comment. I received a response just a day later. While not expected they went above and beyond in response and action. I would whole heartedly and confidently purchase at Room & Board again.

Holly: Retrofit Home, a unique store located in Capitol Hill, Seattle. Retrofit Home is more than just a furniture store; it’s a mini-department store with a sophisticated, fun, and edgy aesthetic. If you’re in the Capitol Hill area, be sure to check it out! In addition to furniture, you’ll find home goods, kitchen essentials, and unique gift items. The every day books were my favorite collection to browse through. Quirky and funky, Retrofit Home sells lots of items you won’t find anywhere else. While their products aren’t cheap, the quality and uniqueness make up for it. Even their sale items can be fairly expensive, but they’re worth it if you want something special. I told the employee I loved their store and the vibe was so inviting and if I had more time I’d probably buy a lot more! So, if you’re on the hunt for distinctive furniture, home decor, or delightful gifts, consider paying Retrofit Home a visit. It’s a gem in Capitol Hill!

They steered me towards velvet to handle cats as well, which I hadn't thought of before. I've had it for 6-7 years now and it still looks about as new as when I got it delivered, despite being routinely puked on by my cats.

Quoted end of April would be outside that promise and verbal estimate was before the promise date. Still an honest account of what we experienced to date. Glad you are paying attention to our reviews as I see other experiences like ours. More as our order progresses to see if the estimates hold true to form. Right now 3 stars out of 5 which is neither negative nor positive as I noted good order experience but bad updates and estimates. Guess you can earn the other stars on delivery follow through.Last update: Couch delivered on April 1st. Great construction and easy delivery arrangements. I even arranged to have them take away the old couch. Excellent!

Pamela Sawyers: Today we purchased Harrison Spinks Northumberland Beds, Luxury toppers, and adjustable bases from Vic, who took the time to find out our special needs and wants. Vic was exceptionally knowledgeable in what he thought we would feel comfortable in, and he was spot on. Having just arrived here and still waiting for our furniture to arrive, he immediately let us know they would provide us with a bed while we were waiting for the new one we ordered. Outstanding service all around.

Vic showed me a latex mattress which I was a little bit skeptical of...but he answered all my questions and gave me more than enough info to make me feel comfortable with the purchase. Very knowledgeable and not pushy, but really helpful. Probably will end up getting a couch from him as well. Definitely will be back and refer friends and family.

We live a distance away so just drove up on Sunday for pickup at the warehouse site. I called even before the warehouse opened to check if my vehicle would work for the set being picked up. I got the pleasant help needed. Upon arrival, gentlemen there was very easygoing, found my order quickly, and loaded it into my vehicle. I also needed a new piece of wood to stabilize this middle of our bed and he made one on-site, free of charge. So yes we'll be back online or in-store and this accentuates that the drive

Their third-party delivery service through Ryder was a bit disappointing compared to other white-glove deliveries we've had, but not a huge deal.So far, we love this couch and would highly recommend it!

I needed to get some parts replaced because I still love the timeless pieces I owned. Went to the Tukwila store and had the pleasure of dealing with Amber Friedman. Unfortunately the vendor was no longer someone they worked with but she said she would follow up. after some extensive research on her end she found a solution to our problem. It took some leg work for such a small part but big headache. It would have even been easier and more expensive to buy another dresser but she knew that I wanted to keep this piece. Because of service like this from Dania, I dont think I will ever go anywhere else. Plus when I went in there they had the most gorgeous furniture that I actually should upgrade anyway. So Amber, I will be back for some new pieces but 100% because of your outstanding customer service. Thank you.

We visited several showrooms and researched a few online retailers.We found ourselves at Dania in Tukwila. We were greeted by Dexter. He was very friendly and showed us around. After leaving, we were leaning towards a brown leather sectional. Not 100% set on it, so we did more research.We ended up visiting Dania 3 more times before making the purchase. He was there all 3 times to answer more questions. We ended up getting a white leather sectional sofa.From time of purchase, leading up to delivery, and day of delivery, Dexter called to ensure we had what we needed and our expectations were met. Even on his day off, he had another associate follow up with us.The delivery team was wonderful. They were friendly and professional. They were careful with our floors and cleaned up after themselves.Unfortunately, one of the corner piece was incorrect and didn't fit like it should have. I sent Dexter a photo, and right away, he was on it. He had to work through operational logistics and ended up sending out another sofa set! The delivery team replaced the incorrect piece and double checked to make sure that I was happy with it. They were willing to break down and take back the entire set if I wasn't completely satisfied! I feel like delivery companies are in a hurry to get in and out, but these guys were all about customer satisfaction.We could have easily bought this sofa online, but I'm so grateful that we met Dexter and had his assistance throughout the process. He really cares about his clients and will do everything he can to go above and beyond.If you're looking for furniture or a house

Friday Hunt: My review is from the other end. I love his mid- century modern style, when we downsized we consigned several large pieces of furniture and are very pleased at the professionalism there.He is clear, organized, and prices things to sell quickly but also making enough for both parties to be happy with a 59/50 split.He will also consign IKEA pieces if their style fits in, but at a lower price to make sure they will sell.The shower room is always clean, and there is enough space to display all the pieces attractively.All in all, I’m very happy, and if I needed any furniture that type, I would definitely shop there.
