Alan Zhang: Easy going shop with 0 judgement people. I've taken many adult programs through BikeWorks and they have all been great experiences. The shop is also has lots of used and new parts and cool bike builds to look at.The events and rides they host are amazing too! Happy to give my money to an organization that I can see the work they are doing day to day

kostondub: An amazing community resource. Whether they're teaching bike repair classes, doing charity drives, organizing group rides, hosting bird watching and education or helping keep tires out of a landfill. Thanks for supporting local Seattle cyclists. We need more joy and compassion in this world Bikeworks delivers.

Chris Sinco: Great LBS in South Seattle that has fair prices and quick turnaround for repairs. Also a lot of inventory on used parts to pique one’s curiosity. Not to mention the staff are knowledgeable and not bike snobs!

Shannon Ren: I have only ever had positive experiences at Bike Works both at the shop where I had my bike tuned up and through the Adult Programs where I’ve taken classes, volunteered, and participated in programming. Bike Works is an integral part of the South Seattle community providing resources to everyone and encouraging people to ride bikes in an equitable and compassionate way. Highly highly recommend visiting the shop, checking out programming, and donating!

Imran M: Great shop, super fun to browse their parts and restored bikes. They never fail to have the random little part I need for a build, and when my partner needed a new shorter seatpost they proposed sawing the existing one to the right length and did it right then & there in 5 min. They also do great work in the community and are worth checking out for open shop, volunteer parties, etc.

Rebecca Chase-Chen: Bike works is the best! They are a rock of the community-serving everyone and spreading access and joy of biking. We have been going to bike works for almost 10 years for tune ups, bike parts, kids bikes and donations. 🤩Here’s a review from my daughter:Bike works has made learning to bike fun! -R.C. Age 10

Harshal: Great Bike shop --- even better flyers

Also they even gave me a free bike a few months ago from their donation program and the bike is super nice and works like a dream! Love the company and all that they do 🏼

School of Bike: what do users think?

James Lin: Unfortunately Cory is closing shop soon, which is a shame because this is a wonderful local bike shop. Cory did routine maintenance on my bicycle last year, offering honest advice and very reasonable rates. The attention to detail was excellent. Cory tuned my gear shifter and trued my wheels. Sorry to see you closing shop, the neighborhood will miss you.

Rick Mohler: I've had multiple positive experiences with Cory. I bought my commuter bike from him and he's serviced it many times. He also has serviced my former 20 year old steel road bike and straightened its frame after a crash. I've also purchased an array of parts and accessories from the shop. In all cases, Cory provided me with excellent professional advice and extremely fair rates for his work. We are very fortunate to have his shop in the neighborhood!

Andy Pierce: Came in for a missing part on my Peloton bike cleats. Owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to find the exact part I needed to fix my cleats. 10/10 would visit again for anything bike-related.

Anna Trakhman: Cory runs a one-man bike shop! He’s extremely knowledgeable, if sometimes sassy. He custom-built my most prized possession: an all-steel gravel bike I use for everything, ranging from daily commuting around the treacherous pothole-y city streets to multi-day, gravel and single-track-y bike packing. He knew exactly what I needed, perhaps even more than I did. You’ll pay a premium for the quality work and thought he puts into his bikes, but consider it worth it to support a talented and dedicated small business owner. Go Cory!

Adam Magargee: Corey is awesome, I’m glad I found this little bike shop. It’s a small operation but he does well to take his time with you and get your bike back quickly. Fairly priced too, especially for Seattle. I’ll keep coming to him as long as he’s open.

Christopher Strautman: Originally stopped by to ask for a little air in my tires, which Corey happily offered. He reviewed the bike and his keen attention to detail was impressive as he walked me through all the critical parts that desperately needed replaced for my own safety. I appreciated his honesty and concern that we moved forward with bike repair. Some parts were delayed and he communicated that the pick-up date would be delayed, which I appreciated as well! Super happy with the results and fast turn around!

Brittany-Lauren Todd: Great experience each time I've been to this place. Mr. Cory is super knowledgable about all things bike related. He is always willing to answer questions and I always leave his shop having learned a lot. 10/10 would recommend.

Sathish Jothikumar: Came here for a bike fitting, and the owner was very thorough in learning about my bike and my ride needs to recommend changes after looking at how it currently fitted. He also gave suggestions on future updates I should be doing. Can't recommend this place enough for all your bike repair needs. He also has a stock of refurbished bikes which were well maintained!

Ramy Shoker: School of bike is in session! This is the type of spot that just ups your biking knowledge. Got my bike tuned with some changes to stock parts. The owner is fast, hard working, honest and personable. Never going anywhere else to get my bike worked on.

Hugh J.: Corey is a great guy, super honest and obviously passionate about cycling. Hooked me up with great bike and made a customer for life in the process. Can't recommend enough.

Bob Jacobs: Cory fixed for free what I thought was a chain problem, but it turned out to be a ME problem which Cory gently corrected. Wouldn't take a dime for the quick fix, so I asked Cory if he would accept a $10 donation on behalf of his forthcoming first grandchild. Cool shop run by a knowledgeable and cool guy!

Erika Stowe-Madison: Hands down the BEST bike shop in Seattle, WA. Cory, the owner, is one of the coolest humans I have met, with a world of knowledge and a deep desire to share, you will leave this shop not only with a quality repair/product but also a better human! Until next time, Cory-Thank you for the great experience!

Roydyn C: Cory provides a great personal service for new bike and bike component purchases, plus bike maintenance/repair and high value training.

Wright Brothers Cycle Works: what do users think?

Lukas: Charles is a wonderful person to work with

Jake Cooper: Less like a bike shop and more like going into the garage of a bike nut. Charles has tools I've never seen, 50+ years experience, and is cash-only and affordable. The guy can fix anything.

Foodie Man: Came in with a flat tire on an old 60s era Schwinn. Charles has the tubes and was a pleasure to work with. Thanks again! - Brendan from Vermont

Howard Young: I took my 1975 Motobecane Grand Record to Charles to get the wheels trued, bearings serviced and new freewheel installed. Charles did what I asked and dealt with a lot of other issues at a reasonable price. I asked if my wheels were in good enough shape for a 1200K brevet I had planned and he suggested I have him build a new set of wheels that were more robust. He built up a beautiful set of wheels with Campy Nuovo Record hubs and Mavic MA40 rims for a very reasonable price. They perform better than the wheelset on my modern road bike. Charles had been very helpful and I feel like he is my team mechanic!

Bener Celenkoglu: Charles embodies more than just a skilled craftsman; he also excels as an exceptional tutor, generously imparting the profound insights he has garnered through mastering his craft.

Paul Wade: You need your wheels built . Charles is the godfather of Seattle s wheel builders . He's the one who taught all of them in the area. Had him biyld four of my back Wheels. And Im hard on them but I could not bend his wheels. So skip the students and just go to the master builder.

Amy Liu: Charles is great. He has masterfully fixed up 2 of my secondhand bikes that were in quite sorry shape. His expertise and attention to detail, and also enthusiasm for teaching are all much appreciated. He also was very responsive to service requests by phone and text. Highly recommended.

UT: I went there when I went whbpc in Seattle 2011 tourGood memory.

Kunal Narang: Good experience overall! Charles is knowledgeable and will try to diagnose the problem quickly. I will try to visit this place in the future for repairs.

Rachel Song: Positively the best local bike shop. I’m new to biking and have always been a bit intimidated by bringing in my bike to a shop but Charles is so kind and will fix up your bike at a fair price. Went in for a basic tune and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Brendan Thatcher: Fantastic shop- did a great tune up on my bike at a great price. Highly recommended!

Bryanne Manzitti: Charles is the best! My bike now rides and looks brand new after a tune up. Very fast, honest, and efficient. Excellent attention to detail. Won’t bring my bike anywhere else for as long as I live in Seattle!

Abby Weingarten: If you find developing a relationship with community businesses and investing in your local economy meaningful, this is the place to do it. I blew out my tire this morning on the way to work, and called Charles on my way home. He welcomed me over to the shop as soon as I could make it and had my tire patched up within 30 minutes. On top of being super accommodating, he was kind and informative about future care for my bike and transparent about pricing. He has been in business for decades and is without a doubt a trustworthy person to seek care for my bike in the future!

Rex McDowell: Wright Bros and Charles are a great Seattle biking resource! I used to do all my own work in their shop. Built my first set of wheels there after taking a wheel-building class from Charles in the late eighties. My maintenance skills have gotten a bit rusty in the ensuing years, so Charles has taken over and does great work. He's also built a wheelset for me. BTW, I bought this Colnago Sprint frame from his shop in 1987 and built it up there. Did a metric century on it yesterday.

andra luca: Charles is the encyclopedia of everything Velocipede. With a tool collection worthy of a museum. And an eye for detail and craftsmanship - unmatched. Thanks to his patience in explaining away some of my ignorance - I now actually understand how bikes work. Sure you just want to drop off and be on your merry way - but what's the hurry, spend a few minutes and learn about your favorite toy The Bicycle. I do hope he will be able to teach classes again soon. And if you have a chance - do get your wheels built in his shop. The craftsmanship of wheel-building cannot be churned out in factories, and having them built locally is extremely affordable.

Marisa Morgan: You would think that in Seattle, where bikes are everywhere, it would be easy to find a bike shop that knows what they're doing. Sadly, this is not the case. I recently painted my bike and took it somewhere to be reassembled. They did a garbage job of assembly and I've had problem after problem with it since...And then I brought my bike to Wright Brothers. This is not a store that panders to hipsters and their adorable cruiser bikes. This guy knows what he's doing. And it shows because he's booked up for the foreseeable future. It must've been my lucky day today because my shifter cable loose and I stopped by his store, and he was amazing. Had me riding in no time, and as it turns out there were a few more problems than just the shifter cable, which he fixed for an insanely reasonable price. So glad to have found this gem of a bike repair shop.

Jacky “Jack Keychain” Chen: . He would find the cheapest and most effective way for the customer to fix their bike prior to taking on the project. He did not allow me to step away while getting my deflated tire fix; now I know how to fix a flat. He allowed me to shadow him, the next client thought it was just a handle bar jam, but Charles thoroughly looked through the bike, fixed every possible issues and made it better. Glad, he'll be around for another 5 years. If you take your bike seriously, you better go to Charles! He owns his bike shop since the early 80's, and he's here to stay!Side note, if you want him to retire "early", buyout his building for $5mil in cash :

JRA Bike Shop: what do users think?

Dan Crakes: I’m new to the neighborhood and I’m so glad to have this shop in the area. They are nice and approachable and super knowledgeable. I’ve been a bike rider for many years. I came in needing some spokes for a wheel I had messed up in several ways. They gave me what I needed for a fair price and noticed a problem I had not figured out yet and told me how to fix it. Above and beyond! Thanks neighbor!

Anna Trakhman: good service at a reasonable price!

ACL: They said it shouldn't be a problem and they were right.I've had the bike for 10 years and it has never had a tune up. Prior to this I've always tried to tinker with it myself but it was time for a pro. I am so glad I took it in to JRA. They went all through it and adjusted the rear derailleur as well. They also put on a new chain and even adjusted my brakes; wow, it feels like a new bike, well done!

Sundar Sharma: Excellent selection of parts and helpful service. An amateur mechanic’s dream bike shop for finding components, even rare ones. A neighborhood gem.

Isaac Graham: Great place!

Andrew Hout: Great shop! Staff are very understanding and easy to communicate with. Would recommend.

Alex R: Excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere

Sourabh S Shenoy: Great quick service, low prices and they won’t fleece you like other shops by trying to upsell you. Highly recommend!

Arianna Yang: An ideal local bike shop experience. Bought my first bike here and have had wonderful experiences getting service on two other bikes I bought second-hand. Always helpful with questions that I walk in with. Decent selection of new bikes that is all listed on their website and a great selection of bike accessories and tools.Even when my bikes are in great shape after being serviced here and I have nothing I need I still want to come out since it's just such a nice shop.

Brett Markle: This is the best bike shop in Seattle. Their prices are fair and their service is simply the best. Very impressed with this shop. Thanks JRA!!

Rohan Sohani: I went in with some brake issues and needed to have my wheel reset after it got dislodged. They were able to do it on the spot and were so nice that they didn't even charge! Will definitely be back eventually for maintenance and any other repairs that are needed.

Derrick Sobrien: amazing service . squeezed me in at short notice . got me out of a pickle . highly recommended

Jack Yinger: The folks at JRA are kind, knowledgeable, communicative, and down to earth. The vibe is good, the service is good. These people really care.

Natafoo: so I was very ignorant in proper bike fit and everything related. Corbett walked me thru the process, answered all my questions and then some, and I walked away feeling pretty confident in my purchase. Since then, Corbett has responded to all my follow-up questions, as well as others in the shop helping me make small adjustment to fit my needs. I plan on using them for all my future bike related needs and would recommend them to anyone.

Richard S: Knowledgeable, but not pushy or snobby staff. Great selection of bikes and accessories. Very conscious of safety.

William Bedard: I came in with an estimate for a complete drive train replacement from another shop that gave me a bad vibe. The work was quoted by JRA for less even though JRA were supplying new brake pads and new cables, parts and labor, both brakes and all cables which was not included in other higher estimate from other shop. JRA called and told me i had some cracks near spokes on back wheel which was missed by other shop along with the cables and brakes needing replacement. I brought them a spare wheel they switched cassette no extra charge it was even less than the quote i was given. I picked up the bike and it looked amazing all work promised and completed earlier than promised. The bike has seen a ton of milage, a couple wrecks, and stored outside for 3 seasons. Today it rode like it did day one back in 2013. I am so happy i ended up at JRA. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable this is the best shop in town!

Velo Bike Shop: what do users think?

Cheerful Catunao: ! Really happy with their service. Awesome experience

Melissa Nguyen: awesome bike shop willing to help with any issues no matter how big or small! popped in mid-ride because i needed adjustments on my spd SL pedal tension and didnt have the tool on me. Brian and Paul were so kind to help not only that but check out my derailer and look over my bike to make sure everything was ok. Very nice staff, i felt welcome to ask questions and ask for help with my bike. Not to mention, prices super fair!

Kyle Roberts: Such a wonderful little bicycle shop in the heart of Seattle. I bought a Bianchi street bike here last year, and the reps were wonderful about talking through my preferred use of it, comfort level, price, and various aspects of more modern, high-quality bicycles. I'm no cyclist, and likely not their typical client, but it was a wonderful experience.Fast forward a bit over a year, and I was having a bit of trouble with the pump I bought, worried that I might have inadvertently punctured the tire. Prior to coming in, I thought I'd call and see what they thought. A very kind gentleman spent about 5 minutes troubleshooting with me before I realized that it was just my own idiocy on technique, and managed to immediately resolve the issue.High marks for quality, ease of interaction, and customer service.Side note: these bikes are rather expensive. If you're looking for a beater, you may want to call ahead and ask about inventory price points before visiting.

Drew Kossen: The team at Velo is dialed in! Velo really sets a high bar for their repair service and knowledge of bikes. Their communication is top notch throughout the repair process! What I appreciate most is their consultative approach, they work to solve your problem efficiently and cost effectively. They stand behind their work and will keep you riding smooth. Velo earned my lifetime business!

Elbert Mets: Brought my bike here for service and was impressed with the quality, speed, and professionalism of the service. Staff texted me with an itemized list of repairs along with the price, and answered the handful of questions I had along the way. Overall very impressed

Brian Deighton: we rented bikes for two days July7&8 The kids working in Velo were super patient, friendly, helpful, available. I think most bike shop people tend to be chill, but this crew was really were great. Bikes - were good enough!

Cassi Wika: Had a great experience- highly recommend!

Sima Moghaddam: I recently brought my bike to repair, they did a great job and took care of all components need to be fixed. The price also was reasonable. Their mechanic is also professional. The staff are knowledgeable and they did their best to fix the bike as soon as possible. Very satisfied with their work.

Anita Wu: Friendly service and really helpful! Thanks for fixing my bike!

Kyle Ricco: Had a great experience renting a bike for the day to explore the mountains to sound bike path! Definitely would recommend.

Kenneth Odem: Communication getting to the point of repair could be better, but the end result was great. The technician explained in detail what was going on, the fix, and suggestions to avoid the issue again - while demonstrating why it was an issue. Very helpful.Would have preferred they check before lubing the chain. I use a wax lube and they added a dry lube, resulting in having to degrease the chain. Takes a bit of effort and time.

Aspen: Really nice people and very reasonable prices. In stock with a lot of common bike gear and bicycles. Great customer service and respect. They even pump your tires for free! Overall 10/10 place to stop by. ☺️

The Bikery: what do users think?

Justin Kimball: Learned how to adjust my front derailer. Thanks!

David Walton: Service and product and knowledge are awesome

David Bahm: due to the all-volunteer staff of bicycle fans. It's worth working your schedule to arrive during their hours.Very convenient location to ride your bike to, along Hiawatha Street, connecting Dearborn to the I-90 bike route.

Harsha Konda: What a place !Fantastic place to learn to fix your bike. The volunteers do an amazing job with helping you learn to fix your bike

Edwin Forster: My wife and I flew in from out of town on a Sunday. We needed help getting a repair. Bikery was open, helpful, and we are so appreciative of the result!

Brian Macklin: Super nice people

Bryce Ulrich: Super helpful, relaxed, well equipped

Daniel Revier: This place is great. I don't know much about bikes and the folks here were super helpful and careful to explain what I should be looking for in a commuter bike. They also pointed me to Recycled Cycles, which is up by the University of Washington campus. 100% these people live and breathe bikes, so you can trust them.

William Terrance: Excellent little nonprofit bike shop, with friendly volunteer staff on site to assist while you complete repairs on your own ride. Tons of used parts, and a community vibe. Come here to get some knowledge, fix your bike and meet some cool folks in the biking community. Used bikes are available for sale.

Brandon Lu: Very bike kitchen. They have the patches that I love.

Chris Nad: Had a great experience. Having very little knowledge, Mike was a super good teacher and very patient with me. Would definitely recommend!

Nickolaus Fuerstenberg: I visited The Bikery to fix up my brakes and add a bike rack and basket to my bike, and I was warmly greeted by Aaron, one of the volunteers who works there. I shared with Aaron the things I intended to work on, and indicated that I was not quite sure what to do, and he said "no problem, I'm happy to help you out. Let's have a look." I learned several great tips for adjusting brakes, learned about how to lube my shifters, and with Aaron's help to find a spacer part to make the bike rack fit over my disk brakes, got the bike rake and basket on as well. The vibe felt very warm and folks felt like community -- everyone was working on their own thing, often using used parts and shared tools. I would go here again just to work on my bike in good company.

Recycled Cycles: what do users think?

Lauren Grabowski: The perfect bike shop! A great array of new and used quality bikes, and incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff.

Zane: Skip is the man! He offered great service and trust

Jennifer Evans: This is the best bike shop in town. Knowledgeable mechanics who don't try to get you to spend more than needed but who know how to keep an older bike functioning well. They also know about old and vintage bikes and work thoughtfully to maintain those as well. We have recently had all of our bikes repaired and/or tuned up there, riding one bike in and picking up the finished one. I love this shop.

Vivek Subramanian: Very knowledgeable and friendly folks. Also a budget friendly bike store.

Gaspar Rodriguez: Excellent bike shop!

Andrew Kullman: Great people in here listening to great music and fixing bikes. Enough said.

Brandon Lee: for same price as “re-cycled” one’s being sold. Specifically some Kona pedals, chainring bolts & a freewheel. Miss the pre corona shutdown prices & membership that made cash pricing easy. Still my #1 shop but now I check eBay/Amazon.

Good Weather Bicycle & Café: what do users think?

Jamison Leckenby: Came in for a flat and left with fix and more knowledge than I could retain. Very friendly shop and reasonable prices. Will be using them again in the future.

Jatin Chopra: Jason is an awesome person. He goes at lengths to address areas wrt bike assessment, damages estimates and charges reasonably. Never an instance of they trying to rip you off. My bike was recently damaged at a residential property and they offered to do a thorough evaluation while also making sure repair estimates are reasonable and in line with what insurance expects and the right format. Their sheet also listed a contact to an experienced lawyer in case I have follow up questions or legal requirements wrt bike law of Washington. No back and forth, just plain old professionalism. Super responsive via texts and emails tooNot to mention the awesome location of this store.Keep it up

Michael Stark: Nice small shop. Has everything I needed and friendly staff.

Kenneth Odem: Jason and his team are fantastic. Very swift, helpful and thorough.

Bry Osmonson: GoodWeather always comes through for me! This shop is my go-to when I need some work done on a bike. The mechanics are often able to get me rolling again in the time it takes me to sip a delicious latte from their other counter. They’ve got high quality parts, a wealth of knowledge and ideas, and treat me like a partner in the adventure. Thanks for everything y’all!

Hailey Colwell: Hands-down the best and friendliest bike shop in Seattle. The shop has a great vibe and the team are all knowledgeable and welcoming. Their repair service is fast and reasonable. My favorite thing about Good Weather is they care about community and never "bike-splain" - they're passionate about getting everyone out on bikes!

Abhinav Bhargava: Small and sophisticatedBeautifully crafted shop within the Chophouse RowGrab a coffee or a drink ! Must visit in Capitol HillLive music outside

Ethan Law: Awesome service model. They care about your overall cycling experience and are willing to teach you about their process. Combined with great coffee, what more could you want?

Michaela Meckes: Best bike shop in town! I’m not very mechanically inclined, but I trust that the team at Good Weather will take great care of my bike and give me a fair price. Highly recommend!!

Jay Ytell: thanks Jason!

Keli Hurst: Came in to get my bike tuned up, not knowing all of the things that were wrong but knowing it needed a ton of work. Now my bike rides better than ever! What a joy to experience riding the way it should be 😂 Everyone I interacted with at the shop was super friendly and I appreciate the thorough approach they took to examine my bike. The owner is pretty much the nicest person ever, which is appreciated by a cycling novice such as myself. He truly went the extra mile, even adding some extra Velcro to secure my bike bag. Now that I know how my bike should ride, I'll definitely be back next time I need a tune up. Thanks Jason and crew!

Z Mars: Best bike shop ever! The kindest staff who specialize in seemingly instant bike service needs and judgment free advice, in a beautifully designed space. Everything here punches well above the smaller space limitations: fair prices, knowledgeable and friendly and fast service, amazing coffee, drinks, and innovative food, cozy sitting areas, smartly selected goods and clothing, and most of all the vibe- it's clear that Good weather and Jason love the whole community and this reflects in everything from their social events, weekly rides and visiting experience. You can see all the hard work they do to foster creativity, friendship and fun. I can't think of a more inclusive and reliable shop that offers so much in a great location you'll be excited to take friends and family to.

Erin Bailie: Good Weather has been a bedrock for maintaining my bicycles for 4 years now. Even though I no longer live in Capitol Hill, I’ll gladly brave the parking on Pine to get my bike serviced here. I wouldn’t take it anywhere else. What I love about this shop is that the mechanics take the time to understand what I want. If they have a concern about what I’m asking for, they approach it with curiosity. I’ve never felt spoke down to or “mansplained” which I can’t say about many other bike shops.Jason is also a wealth of bike knowledge. Many times I’ve come to him with a project or idea, and he’s said “that’s cool, here’s an idea I have to make it better/cheaper/more sustainable, what do you think?”. I love that he’s down to collaborate.I can’t say it enough - these folks are kind, they keep my priorities close in mind as they work on my bike, and they stick to their word. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

Leah Rush: Jason and the whole Good Weather team are incredible. They got my commuter tuned up super fast, it’s shifting better than it ever has, and has made my rainy commutes much more enjoyable.

Harriet Morgan: Welcoming, highly-skilled staff, and a cozy ambience. Whether you need work on your bike, a question answered, or are looking for a delicous beverage - go to Good Weather! Can't recomend them enough - a gem for the cycling community!

Joey Chiang: Great service here, easy to book through their site. Jason is also great and super easy to talk to regarding bikes. The community and culture at the store is welcoming in all of my experiences there too! Great food at Tailwind in the same space as well.

Dylan Ahearn: Finally a bike shop that is looking to make you a lifetime customer instead of looking for a quick buck. Jason and team and ridiculously talented, kind, and easy to work with. Never going anywhere else again.

Mahsa Borhani: listened to me carefully, and then he explained to me what was probably the issue when he took off the tube I had tried to fit on myself with my new tire. My rim tape didn’t have proper coverage, so he put some nice cloth tape on there. I also bought a new tube and was glad he didn’t patch the old one, since patching is just a temporary fix. I really valued his easy-going nature, kindness, and informed approach. It’s always nice as a woman to go into a bike shop and feel like you are having a conversation without any condescension. I love talking about my frankenstein bike and how I’ve modified it over the years, and Jason seemed genuinely interested. I’ve always been more of a bike punk than anything else and I felt comfortable in this shop.

Back Alley Bike Repair: what do users think?

Alan Steele: oh no!!! these guys were the best 😭

Rowan Jordan: pedaling on. ✨🚲

Jordan White: They did a rebuild on my Surly Midnight Special! New drive train, light toss-able carbon fork, carbon wheel set with dynamo hubs!!! I’m fully ready to shred. Can’t recommend them enough!

Op Fusvxjx: I like it....wow

Sean Donavan: Great bike shop! Always friendly and make you feel at home. If your home was an awesome bike shop with all the good tools! Going out of their way to get me back on the road safely and quickly. 15/10 definitely going back. And thanks for the heads up on the post-crash helmet replacement idea! Emailed the company and I've got one coming! Saved me 150 bucks!

Bryce Johnson: I don't usually leave reviews, however my experience was so great I needed to share. The prices are clearly posted. The prices are less expensive than I've seen elsewhere. The staff are so helpful and they were ready to do the repair when I walked in at the end of the workweek and end of the day. It's hard to find so much good in one place in Seattle any more.

Aldo Jansel: Great service by Om4r

Alaina Boyle: So grateful to Back Alley Bike Repair! I had called several bike repair shops looking for somewhere to help with my electric scooter’s flat tire. Even though I had already purchased the inner tube needed, most bike shops turned me away until Back Alley! They provided friendly, efficient, and affordable service. Would highly recommend!

Anne Thomas:

Suzanne Kaltenbach: and a new tube a few hours later. Just swung by after work and was able to ride home! The people there were really friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the different tire options and gave their recommendations based off of what I said I was looking for.

Aileen Granstrom: This bike shop is my new favorite near where I live. Jessica was a wizard mechanic in solving my cabling problem, and a delight to chat with the whole time! She invited me over to the stand to help me understand the problem and took care in explaining to me in case I wanted to do the fix myself in the future. Omar was also very helpful and knowledgeable in answering questions about a new bike I test rode. We explored many options for how they could build the bike I wanted, how I could build it, the sizing and different component q's, etc. Overall great shop and people.

Meghann Van Pelt:

Julie Lucas:

Thaddeus Driscoll: I've been going to Back Alley for awhile now and you'd be pressed to find a better or more unique shop. These guys have great service and feedback, they value bikes that get ridden way more than bikes that cost a lot. Back Alley has a loyal community around it which says a lot about a business, especially in Seattle where everything else seems to close and restart every year. Spend some time asking questions and getting to know the staff and owner, you'll likely receive some great feedback and even better bike routes.

Aleksandra Zakrzewska: I stopped in on a Saturday with a broken pedal and they sent me on my way with a fresh pair within 10 minutes. They even took the opportunity to lube up my chain! Taylor Bell: Montlake Bicycle Shop is the best in Seattle! The staff is wonderful and ALWAYS does a great job with any problem you might have. They trained me on how to repair a flat on the road and set me up with all the right tools for it too! Gary, the owner is an awesome guy and truly does the most to make his customers happy! Very sad to be leaving Seattle but Montlake Bike Shop will be my go-to repair shop for whenever I get back!

s growdon: For months I have had an annoying rattle on my bike that a number of different bike mechanics could not identify or fix. I showed my bike to Gary and within 5 minutes he figured out that I was caused by my seat post and had it fixed. For free. Can't thank Gary enough - he's exceptional.

Laura Ionita: Gary and team are awesome! I was looking to buy a new wheelset and they helped me out so quickly. The Polka Dot Jersey: what do users think?

Anoop Jain: Great people working here -- helped us out in a pinch. They have a great selection of bikes and a full workshop!

Jed Smith: HumbleHonestKnowledgeableRomain and crew are 1st class mechanicsSet a rider up from Kauai on epic spring ride around Mercer Island.Don’t forget to trip.🍻

Holly Sayers: I am always happy with my bike service at PDJ. The staff is friendly and upbeat and I feel welcome every time I visit.

Susanna Cagle: Polka Dot is fantastic and has both built my bike and saved me mid ride with flats, new shifter issues, etc. Recommend!

Hayden Jackson: Overall my bike was serviced well, workmanship was solid, as well as communication. Guys in the shop were friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. Only thing keeping this shop from a 5 star for me was price. It was way more than I have ever paid at any other bike shop for a tune up and to me the service didn’t exceed others.

Aaron Wieczorek: . They were able to do all the hard work of making my Super Record 12 shift flawlessly on a 20 year old bike, which is no easy feat! After the cables stretched over a couple hundred miles, I stopped by and they quickly got it tightened and it’s shifted flawlessly ever since. They also are a dealer of some pretty uncommon bike brands!I’ve been using PDJ since I moved to the neighborhood and have only had good experiences.

Francis Brown: Great, very knowledgeable crew at the Polka Dot. They’ve fixed problems for my bike that befuddled other shops. Super nice people too.

Charlyn O: . I wish I could've tipped him more, but was riding with limited ca$h. Cannot thank yall enough. Thank you thank you thank you! 3

Arthur Carre: Super chill little shop. Mechanics over there really know their stuff. Plus, they are riders themselves and their passion for the sport shows in the quality of their services.

terry joy: I had Polka Dot Jersey pack and ship a bike to me that I had purchased through Craigslist Seattle. Freinds of mine dropped the bike off at the shop and Roman and his crew took it from there. They were always very responsive and professional through email and phone calls. The bike was packed perfectly and arrived through Bike Flights on time and in perfect shape. I could not be happier with their service and communication.

Jane Markman: I was amazed at how informative, respectful and diligent Roman was in working on my bike. That doesn’t always happen when I speak to repair shops or technicians about my gear. The repair was high quality, the team is kind and informative, and was incredibly respectful of getting my bike done in a timely manner. They provide all information, up front, needed to perform a complete repair - walking you though the impact of completing each repair item. From there it’s up to you. They give you their expertise and allow you the power to decide how you want to repair your bike.I love that they provide education on your gear, if you want it. This shop is awesome, Roman is awesome and I will continue to bring my road and mtn bike back here!!

John Michael Yasutake: Excellent customer service!! Friendly, Knowledgeable and helpful advice!!

Pete McBride: Highly recommend this shop for all levels of bikes. After months of inconsistent shifting on my commuter, I finally threw in the towel and took it to someone who actually knew what they were doing. The staff immediately diagnosed and remedied the problem. Then another. Then one more after that. Stuff I never would have found on my own. Will definitely be back!

Métier Seattle: what do users think?

A D: I’ll start by saying: If you haven’t had a bike fit, go get one at Metier! Todd worked some magic to make my ride super comfortable. I was also having saddle problems, and he was able to find me a saddle that was perfect! Aside from fitting, they have a great shop, amazing group rides, and bomb coffee.I highly recommend visiting Metier to see all they offer.

Fred Burnside: , found the place to fix it, called me on Saturday evening, let me drop the bike off when they were closed to get it shipped and fixed, and explained everything I needed to get back rolling. All at great price and asking questions I had not even thought of. I could not ask for better service. Customer for life.

Edison Lumbantoruan: Awesome atmosphere and top notch mechanics

Joan Nguyen: Iced matcha latte is really good but they somehow mess up my order every time I go

Jermaine Whitehead: , but not to too many to make it feel cluttered. It’s such a welcoming neighborhood spot perfect for anyone stopping by for a quick coffee on the go or for those looking to catch a replay of a race and a leisurely beer. I look forward to my next visit

Ben: coffee. Very cool store too, if talking isn’t your thing. Try the new cold brew!

Gabe Runner: needs!

Dan Barker: because it was worth it. I will continue to work with Todd as I continue to train for different events. His bike shop and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

George Herriott: A great experience at Metier. The coffee was so good and the service was fantastic. Great service in the cycling side too. The rep greeted as if I was a long lost friend. He answered every question anbout bikes and technology. A true expert. My next cup of coffee and my next bike will be purchased at Metier. In addition, what a unique and amazing facility. Nothing else like it in Seattle.

Szabolcs Petrus:

Rat City Bikes: what do users think?

rizzjohn: I really appreciate the service from Aaron and his crew. I was a drop-in last night with difficult to change tubeless MTB tires and they took care of it on the spot. Bonus: I got to browse the shop merchandise and the outstanding lending library. Check it out.

Glen Dale: Impressive selection of parts in stock. Needed a spacer for a threaded headset, and they had multiple to choose from. Knowledgeable pros about measurements. Little parts like that at their price simply can't be found online.

A M: Friendly and great service!

Jean Prominski: , said it didn’t need a full tune up, and charged me a small fee for the fix they did. I love honest bike shops and they certainly won my trust! I look forward to doing business with them again in the future. Thank you!Following up to this review… I just had another great experience at Rat City…. I have been trying to figure out how to convert my bike trailer into a ski chariot for my dog, so I could bring her cross country skiing. Burley sells a ski kit for this very purpose, but the trailer compatible with it is pretty pricey. I’ve been brainstorming creative solutions so I could use my trailer, but I’m not very mechanical. I took my trailer and the ski kit to Rat City, crossing my fingers that they’d be up for the project. Shannon was very kind, patient, and figured out a great solution for me! Although we didn’t end up using my trailer, she was able to modify the

Grant Shipley: Great service, extremely knowledgeable.

Dave Goldberg: Bike needed a complete overhaul. They came in about $100.00 UNDER estimate and were done early. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient!! My permanent bike shop for certain!!!

Deke Kotrla: I brought my old bike here after it started making weird noises and then the back wheel started not spinning freely. Another bike shop told me it was out of their expertise because I had a coaster brake. I brought my bike here and Aaron said "There's nothing wrong with it, I just greased it up." I guess I have to grease my brake. I didn't know that, and neither did the other shop. Riding my bike now, I noticed they even made adjustments to my front brake as well.I was charged a very fair price for a little bit of work and a lot of expertise.

Kyle Grotjohn: . Definitely going back 😁

emily p: Awesome bike shop! Awesome people. Shannon in particular was very knowledgeable and helpful discussing our bike issue and talking through the various possible solutions. I will definitely be returning to this shop in the future.

Johnathan Yelenick: Fantastic, funky shop that does good and honest work. Nice, efficient and to-the-point owner who you can tell cares about the apprentices that are working with him.

Sep: I am so glad I can go to my neighborhood bike shop for quick repairs and updates to my bike. I just walked in got a seat, went home and started to try to put the seat on... got seriously confused and came right back, lol. The shop owner was super helpful and kind and put the seat on for me. And he helped me pump my tires, adjusted my brakes and put on a cool little license plate for me. Thank you so much for your help!!!

John Paredes: Aaron provided great and clear communication when I needed a bike shipped to his shop from Brooklyn. Service on the bike was prompt and as described. Excellent customer service that you don’t find much anymore.

Gabriel Kettler: Stopped in with a bent bike axle. Owner/bike mechanic smacked the axle straight in about two seconds. Handed me a few really cool stickers and sent me on my way. I'll definitely be going to Rat City Bikes for any of my bike needs.

Eric Montanye: New to the immediate area and was directed that Rat City Bicycle was the place to go. I brought my first bike in expecting to drop off and gear back days later, however that was not the case. I rolled it in and was told “give me 10 minutes and I’ll help you out” - I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! Bike fixed, & for a fair price! Aaron knows what he is talking about and will get you set.6/5 stars - never going anywhere else

John: Aaron is the BEST BIKE SURGEON IN AMERICA. He really knows his trade. Honestly the most knowledgeable efficient and reliable and reasonable bike mechanic I could ever imagine. I EXTREMELY Recommend him!

Ryan Zenor: Neat shop with coolest bikes, and Aaron knows his stuff. Great prices and seems to have everything in stock. Used stuff too! My go-to bike shop from now on. Way better than waiting on mail order parts.
