Gary H Y Zhu: First of all the store is amazing, that’s been established already. Definitely worth a visit even as a tourist spot. But today I was touched by the amazing customer service I received. Honestly still kind of emotional.I was looking for a hiking boot for the weekend but came really late. Like 2 minutes before they close late. I was really just browsing and didn’t expect much but a sales rep approached us and took so much time and care measuring my feet, giving me hiking socks to try, and letting me try some shoes. In the end it took about 15 minutes, but I just felt so appreciative. Honestly this is what makes REI the best. If the rep ever sees this, it’s a dude, thank you again!!

I used to carry them on my lanyard and/or along with my badge, but it was all getting a lil too heavy.I had a couple employees try to help me although I’m sure my own ambivalence or lack of having any real idea of what kind I wanted discouraged them from going on a treasure hunt with me - not to knock them, they definitely tried to be helpful and were all very nice and professional, it’s me that is the problem, my friends.Well, the stars finally decided to align and I swear they could’ve been wearing a cape - Elijah comes out of the most electric blue and holy moly, the determination of this human. .. I told them I was being cheap and black was the ideal and of course, most coveted of the colors for such an accessory, but this did not hinder their endurance. After a couple of misses, Elijah finds me the most perfect multi-wear waist pack. It had one solid strap which is adjustable in any way imaginable and oh, so minimal and sleek. It was so perfect, I could cry. I didn’t, but I could have.So, to my super hero Elijah, thank you so much for dealing with my indecisive, ADHD brain and helping me walk a way with the Nike Sportswear Rebel Crosdbory in black, of course. I hope you win the lottery!Special shout out to Madelyn for not butchering my name and being a very solid coworker, they reminded me that reviews raving about superb customer service is still a thing! Daigoro Toyama (daihard): They're the best. I went in to have them adjust my handlebars and brakes. The mechanic, Justin, encouraged me to do it myself while he looked over my shoulder. I ended up being able to do the job myself! Not only that I learned a few great tips on working on my bike. On top of that, they charged much less than they'd initially quoted because " it turned out to be a lot simpler." THANK YOU Justin and Ride Bicycles!

Megan Toups: Someone at Super Jock and Jill in Redmond recommended this shop to me as they were out of my size in all the styles I was interested in trying. I went to their website and saw that they carried every style of every brand of shoe I was interested in. I was very excited to go in and actually get to try everything and compare shoes better. I've been searching for the right pair of shoes for hiking for several years, but I've found it hard to find what works best for my feet and the issues I have. I really loved the selection of shoes this shop has. I got plenty of help and the man helping me had answers for all my questions and was patient with me while I tried on probably 8-10 pairs of shoes. I won't be going to any other place for shoes after my experience with this place. Thank you guys so much for having an awesome selection and super knowledgeable staff.

Gerry MacCamy: I brought in my knee scooter. Really needed a quick repair what with broken foot. Peter was busy but made room to do a prompt, thorough fix, at a very reasonable price. Really bailed me out of a tough spot.

I had a puncture about a mile from here - I rolled in they immediately took my bike back, threw it on the stand, helped clean up the tubless gunk, cleaned and inflated the tire, gave some tips for future diy repair, all with a smile. It’s fun to find shops like this that just love being helpful.

I have purchased my last three bikes here and have been very happy with the purchases and purchasing experience. BUT, I am even more impressed with the Service Department. Chad has work on my bikes a few times and has done a stellar job. He is a great bike mechanic and is always very fair with pricing. I have also has Chris work on my bike before and he also did a fabulous job. If you need service, repairs or upgrades on your bike, this is a great place to go.

Michael Wehling: Jason helped me today with a complex problem finding the correct set of parts and solution for updating an older bike. I was amazed at the level of effort he put into multiple parts queries finding the one compatible rear hub that would work for the conversion.He also deliberated thoughtfully considering the complexity of the conversion and walked through all the components needed double checking several times that I was ordering the correct parts and not overlooking anything.In addition to that, he thought about the end result and took the time to explain the options and limitations of the direction I was going and suggested substituting a slightly higher count chainring for better results.Exceptional excellence and a gem of a resource to keep bikes rolling in West Seattle.

Michael Robinson: Saved the day! I was riding my fat bike on Alki Beach today and my crank arm fell off. I walked it several miles to the shop and got there about 30 minutes before closing. They hooked me up with a new crank arm at a reasonable price and put it on my bike and had me on the road again in less than 15 minutes. Quality service, highly recommended!

They completely re-furbed my 10 year old Trek, and didn't even laugh at me when I came back the day I picked it up because I'd forgotten how to shift properly. A great local shop.Absolutely wonderful place to buy and service your bike. s growdon: For months I have had an annoying rattle on my bike that a number of different bike mechanics could not identify or fix. I showed my bike to Gary and within 5 minutes he figured out that I was caused by my seat post and had it fixed. For free. Can't thank Gary enough - he's exceptional.
Laura Ionita: Gary and team are awesome! I was looking to buy a new wheelset and they helped me out so quickly. I went on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to swap out my old wheels with a new carbon set in half an hour. My bike feels like new and it's been an amazing experience all the way thanks to Montlake Bike shop!

A D: I’ll start by saying: If you haven’t had a bike fit, go get one at Metier! Todd worked some magic to make my ride super comfortable. I was also having saddle problems, and he was able to find me a saddle that was perfect! Aside from fitting, they have a great shop, amazing group rides, and bomb coffee.I highly recommend visiting Metier to see all they offer.
Fred Burnside: , found the place to fix it, called me on Saturday evening, let me drop the bike off when they were closed to get it shipped and fixed, and explained everything I needed to get back rolling. All at great price and asking questions I had not even thought of. I could not ask for better service. Customer for life.

Brian and Paul were so kind to help not only that but check out my derailer and look over my bike to make sure everything was ok. Very nice staff, i felt welcome to ask questions and ask for help with my bike. Not to mention, prices super fair!
Kyle Roberts: Such a wonderful little bicycle shop in the heart of Seattle. I bought a Bianchi street bike here last year, and the reps were wonderful about talking through my preferred use of it, comfort level, price, and various aspects of more modern, high-quality bicycles. I'm no cyclist, and likely not their typical client, but it was a wonderful experience.Fast forward a bit over a year, and I was having a bit of trouble with the pump I bought, worried that I might have inadvertently punctured the tire. Prior to coming in, I thought I'd call and see what they thought. A very kind gentleman spent about 5 minutes troubleshooting with me before I realized that it was just my own idiocy on technique, and managed to immediately resolve the issue.High marks for quality, ease of interaction, and customer service.Side note: these bikes are rather expensive. If you're looking for a beater, you may want to call ahead and ask about inventory price points before visiting.

Kenneth Odem: Communication getting to the point of repair could be better, but the end result was great. The technician explained in detail what was going on, the fix, and suggestions to avoid the issue again - while demonstrating why it was an issue. Very helpful.Would have preferred they check before lubing the chain. I use a wax lube and they added a dry lube, resulting in having to degrease the chain. Takes a bit of effort and time.
Aspen: Really nice people and very reasonable prices. In stock with a lot of common bike gear and bicycles. Great customer service and respect. They even pump your tires for free! Overall 10/10 place to stop by. ☺️
