I was able to view their inventory online ahead of time and make a list of furniture I wanted to look at. They had a diverse selection of furniture and worked with us on our budget. I have moved several companies over the years and this move by far was the smoothest EVER! They came out and walked through our location, took inventory, offered solutions for packing then went to the new location to see the spaces and where they were moving us to. They were very thorough and we were impressed with the questions they asked and how we got a well thought out estimate. The moving crew was friendly and efficient. They were very thoughtful on how they packed our stuff in the trucks for the move and made sure everything was properly stacked and covered.Our new location was much bigger than our previous one. I got to work with Schelly to pick out our cubicles and she was an absolute delight. Schelly listened to exactly what we were looking for and our budget. She never tried to sell us something we didn't want just because it would make a bigger sale. When it came time for delivery/installation their team was quick working, very nice and made our space look amazing. We could not be more pleased with our new furniture and we have had many compliments on it. The colors, fabric and desk top surfaces are amazing and definitely not like the cubicles you are used to. Right now 3 stars out of 5 which is neither negative nor positive as I noted good order experience but bad updates and estimates. Guess you can earn the other stars on delivery follow through.Last update: Couch delivered on April 1st. Great construction and easy delivery arrangements. I even arranged to have them take away the old couch. Excellent!

Friday Hunt: My review is from the other end. I love his mid- century modern style, when we downsized we consigned several large pieces of furniture and are very pleased at the professionalism there.He is clear, organized, and prices things to sell quickly but also making enough for both parties to be happy with a 59/50 split.He will also consign IKEA pieces if their style fits in, but at a lower price to make sure they will sell.The shower room is always clean, and there is enough space to display all the pieces attractively.All in all, I’m very happy, and if I needed any furniture that type, I would definitely shop there.

Eric Nelson: Madsen Modern is undoubtedly the best mid-century furniture expert in the state. We have been clients of Brandon and Brian for nearly six years. In that time our business with them has included purchase of six pieces of furniture, sale via consignment, furniture repair and restoration.We are lucky enough to be local in Seattle so have had the extraordinary pleasure of seeing their fantastic workshop. Their museum-like space has amazing furniture in all states of renewal. But even more special is working with them both in person. They are the nicest guys you’ll meet. Honest, kind, and helpful. I love hearing them geek out on mid-century furniture!We’ve seen them work magic on teak that looks ruined. They are great at predicting what they can do and to what degree they can fix a piece. Their prices are exceedingly fair. Prices of quality mid-century furniture on many online shops have become eye watering. We’ve been able to get both quality work and a fair price with them. Mid-century furniture holds its value and lasts if you take care of it. We find our purchases from Madsen Modern to be an investment.

SoiledDude: Madsen Modern was a hidden gem. Saw a couch for sale by them, and was smitten. Then we checked out other furniture stores and were floored by the prices. But we kept coming back to Madsen Modern settee. We called and they went out of their to show the piece. We picked it up the next week. Brian helped us package and load the piece. He showed such love for the piece by the way helped wrap it to protected it from the rain. The guys are the real deal. Definitely a shop to check out, you won't go wrong!

It's very stylish, very comfortable and you can feel how well made it is and how high quality the leather and other materials are. I would definitely buy from them again and feel very comfortable recommending them to friends and family.

Ayanda Masilela: I haven't purchased from these folks yet. Rather, I found a used Knoll LIfe Chair and the manufacturer directed me to DWR for local repair services. I've been working with DWR's customer service team for some time now trying to locate a replacement part for my generation of the chair. It's been quite the quest, indeed.Here to express my appreciation for a service team that is supporting the maintenance of a product that they didn't process themselves. It's left a very positive impression on me as a customer that they've been willing to help with this oddball case. It also reinforces that the manufacturer and its affiliates take lifelong product care seriously. Here's to hoping we can find the parts. Thank you regardless!
R Kaur: The store has a very personalised no nonsense customer service style which I appreciated, letting you walk through the store- the design associate would come over to help you out every few minutes, in case you have questions. After we shortlisted a few products Renee sat down with us and helped us with the shipping timelines before we ordered, along with recommendations for other pieces which we decided to think over before purchasing. Since these are high value purchases having someone work with us was wonderful. I highly recommend coming into the store rather than ordering online esp. to have a look at the visual merchandising to identify your particular style and inspiration for how you may want to set up your home.
David Frederick: and decided to stop by DWR. I ended up purchasing a dinning table and chairs. After some issues with the table, two replacements later, I now have a story to share of what excellent customer service is all about. There were a few things we saw, but quite a bit was proportioned for a house moreso than apartment living. Prices were in-line with what you'd expect given the quality and designs. Sara: We've purchased 3 items at Room & Board, one of which was for our daughter because we liked our Deco Sleep Sofa so much. Service was very good particularly for the Deco that required some set up. They do charge for delivery but really worth it because it's very personalized and the delivery personnel really know the products. Room & Board is one of the few retailers that when you complete a survey, you know they read it. For the most recent coffee table purchase I had a question and a comment. I received a response just a day later. While not expected they went above and beyond in response and action. I would whole heartedly and confidently purchase at Room & Board again.
