Pratt Fine Arts Center: what do users think?

s k: Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle offers a vibrant space for artistic exploration and community engagement. With its diverse range of classes and workshops in various disciplines, from glassblowing to metalworking, Pratt fosters creativity and skill development. The facility is well-equipped, and instructors are knowledgeable, providing a supportive environment for both beginners and experienced artists. Additionally, Pratt's commitment to accessibility and inclusivity enhances its appeal as a hub for artistic expression in the Seattle area.

Sruti Lankireddy: I really enjoyed my class at Pratt - I took the 1 day class in color theory. The teacher was knowledgeable and explained the concepts clearly with exercises that reinforced the concepts. I’d love to take another class here.

Jeff Jeff: Great equipment and excellent classes. Classes are also a remarkably good value when you consider the cost per hour of instruction.

June Park: They offer a variety of classes at different levels and the instructors are amazing. I’ve taken different classes so far and feel very grateful that Pratt exists in Seattle!

S Day: Learn something useful already.

Hailey: I have had a wonderful experience with Pratt so far. I just completed the introductory stone carving class with Leon White. It was an 8 week series from 6p-10p every Wednesday. Our group of 8 bonded and had a blast learning how to use the hand and power tools. I was an absolute beginner yet I learned a lot and had so much fun. Very nonjudgmental and supportive environment. Looking forward to taking the next class in the series.

MDH: Big studios, good equipment and facilities. Instructors are super knowledgeable and friendly. They were explaining the process in detail which made me a bit more confident when working with hot flames.I had a blast in the glass studios. There is plenty of free parking around the building.

AmberPhlame De B: They have everything, from glass to fabrication, woodworking, metalsmithing, printing. The instructors are absolutely fantastic, the buildings are a little "vétuste".

Dana Rolax: What Washington calls Pratt park, We call it Bryant Manor park, those are the connected apartments. Anyway its a wonderful park with roofed basketball court and ample parking.

Katria: I loved to print. Place is good and needs everything for some kind of printing techniques.

Mary G: Loved the glass blowing class. It was amazing. I can't recommend it enough.

Sarah Barak: really enjoyed the party. We have made many pieces at other pottery-painting studios, and were shocked by how much nicer the items we painted at Emerald City Fired Arts turned out; the quality difference was notable. Highly recommended!

Lizzie G: So fun! Went for a group activity and it was cool. Don’t do pottery too much but there’s a wide selection of options to paint! A little out of the way but the woman who runs the shop is very accommodating and kind! You might need a resi for big groups but would go again on another rainy day

Megan Fairweather: My mom, niece and I had a wonderful time this afternoon at Emerald City Fired Arts. The studio has lots of ceramics to paint plus the option to do a fused glass project or also a mosaic tile. If you’re looking for a fun, creative and memorable way to celebrate time with family and friends you’ll love Emerald City Fired Arts. Plus, The studio was nice and cool on a hot summer afternoon. I would definitely return to this well run studio.

I never leave reviews but took the time to write this one- 10/10 recommend, especially their paint and sip events.

Seattle Glassblowing Studio: what do users think?

Lily: Did the 3 hour private lesson for my husband’s birthday and it was a blast! We loved the Netflix show Blown Away and wanted to try it out for ourselves. Our instructor Darrien was super informative and patient, and helped us make 5 custom pieces. He even made us a beautiful wavy bowl at the end! The front staff were also very friendly and accommodating. We have a newfound appreciation for the art of glassblowing!

Tammy Blount-Canavan: This was such a fun and inspiring experience and Joe was so patient - thank you!!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Perks Don: We came here for a hands on lesson and loved it. Our glassblower was a perfect teacher, who knew when to let us do, or to guide, or take over. My daughters had a great time. This studio made us happy and seriously respect the art.Visited on Weekday Wait time 1 hr+ Reservation recommended Not sure …

Elisha French: Fantastic family outing and activityVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Briar Rose: The environment was very inviting upon entering the store/shop. Staff were kind and open to discussion while I was waiting for my time to start on a two hour private lesson. They explained everything in detail from safety and use of the different tools to how to handle each piece. They did step by step on how long to keep the piece in the furnace and when to bring it out. The shaping of the pieces was done by the instructor, but I was still able to help during some of those points. Such a great experience and I do plan to come back when I can to do another piece.

D.R.: Yoshie Sugo was our masterful instructor. Everyone enjoyed our experience with her. Great studio, awesome teacher. Do it!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Rebecca Rose: My husband and I are long time fans of glass blowing and we’re obsessed with Netflix’s Blown Away so we had to book a session at Seattle’s glass blowing studio! Edgar was the artist that assisted us and did a great job, he’s super chill. We made 2 pieces and can’t wait to go back now that we have the hang of it. Love that they let you watch the other artist create pieces as well!

Eric Hann: I am very happy that I get to experience how to make the glass bowl. I am thankful for my instructor , Malcolm, for his patience and knowledge. Great experience for me!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Julie Feikes: Had a great experience with the blow your own glass class!

Beadworld: what do users think?

Nell'z G: The best service ever, esp ß@my ol Ge... if not for BEAD WORLD I would never e able to show my talent of the variety of Native Jewelry that I created, shared, opened Indigenous Events, sell, my Earrings, necklaces,etc... which I still do @ my o age. Never a boring day when I shop @ THE BEAD WORLD... The only time I don't have a gd day is when my husband is at my side, watching me buy items , products, beads, tools, equipment, all I use that provides me to make money, hat gives me the opportunities to grow. I LOVE BEAD WORLD FROM DAY ONE...

C. Stein: Huge variety of materials for you to make your own jewelry. From gemstones to Swarovski and everything in between. Even if you want to replicate something you saw on Pinterest, bring the photo in and one of the incredibly friendly and helpful employees will guide you on what you need and how to do it. If you need help with a project, bring it into the store and you can craft it there with some assistance. Most of all, they are the most affordable bead store for the quality of the items you get.As a side note, get here early if you plan on making a trip because their parking lot is small and fills up quickly. And because they are nestled in a residential neighborhood, street parking can be limited.

Maddy: This place is so cool, every time I’ve gone in the staff working has gone out of their way to help me make what I wanted to. Affordable too!

Kelly D: The selection is amazing! Be warned though, the selection is so beautiful and unique, you will find more than you are looking for! The quality is superb and the only thing better than the beads and other items is the customer service. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, truly above and beyond. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for jewelry needs. You can find anything you need at Beadworld!

billie smith: What a fun experience! They have a very impressive selection of beads and tools. Definitely stop in and look around. You can't help but find something you'll love!

babydoll watson: Neat store. Great variety.

Shelby Ryan: huge selection and workers are great!

Vivian K: Large store with a huge supply of beads and jewelry crafting supplies. Prices can rack up fast, but a great resource! I'm so happy I learned about this place.

Jynn Schubert: I can't get over how cute of a store this is! Went there for the first time today and immediately knew I'd need to come back with more time on my hands. Highly recommend! Everyone was really nice, too. A really nice employee helped hand me a bead tray for the loose bead section when I clearly had no idea what I was doing

Shannon Andersen: and not feel pressured to "hurry up and buy". Yesterday, I found a pre wired pendant that I wanted to suprise my daughter with, and they assisted me with constructing it on the spot! They are all friendly and helpful!!

James Allen: Greatest by friendly staff. Big store with lots of beading and crafting material and tools. Very impressed with content.More than beads.

Cassie: Local bead store for glass beads, Toho, Miyuki, Delica, stringing materials, looms, bead matts. Highly recommend coming in for their beading needles, great price and fair to thread! Staff is amazing, great stories, excited to go back!

Nadine Lezard: I'm so glad I found this shop! I arrived late with merely 6 minutes to shop before they closed and staff was very helpful and the selection was amazing like they just about have everything for your little crafty needs and I can't wait to make another visit to this little slice of bread heaven!

Neo Art School Seattle Childrens Art School: what do users think?

kendra koeplin: My kids tried Neo for first time over school break and both loved the art and outdoor play! My younger child who’s more shy was very comfortable by end of first day and excited to go back. Art projects are in depth and a good variety throughout week. Environment felt safe and inspiring of creativity!

Terri Chudzik: We're big fans of Neo Art school! I have 3 daughters - each with very different strengths and challenges, and Neo Art was a wonderful fit for all of them. They had the opportunity to explore a variety of art forms, and the team there made it possible for all of my girls to feel successful and have fun. One of my girls has a developmental disability, and the instructors adapted the projects for her, repeating instructions as needed to ensure she could express her creativity. She loved it so much that she had her birthday party there later in the year. We ended up returning several summers and joining parents night out as well. We're so grateful to have such a high caliber program that was sensitive to the unique needs of each individual kiddo. Highly recommend Neo Art school as a wonderful fit for a variety of kids - and a fun, inspiring place to create!

justine allen: Cute, creative projects. Perfect for young learning minds.

Craig Scanlan: . She's a very independent person that often doesn't like to follow directions at home because she "knows best," but at Neo she's been able to explore her passions with a good balance between doing it "her way" while also learning to accept help and tips from the teacher, Sean. Sean is that great mix of being a friend and ally to kids in listening and responding to their conversations in a genuine way while also teaching them to be responsible for their workspace and tools and to explore their creative directions. It's a great mix that my daughter really, really loves. She's always is excited to drop by the studio and work on new projects and feels like a genuine part of the Neo community. We've done the regular art classes, the pottery/ceramics classes, and a lot of the summer/holiday camps and just love it! Jasmine has shown a more responsible adult side in creating her art while still just having a ton of fun as a kid in engaging art classes.I'm really happy she gets to have an experience a lot like the classes I had as a kid! Thanks Sean!

Natalie Findley-Wolf: We have been attending Sean’s Thursday pottery class for over a year now. We have also attended some of the summer and holiday break events. The projects and options are amazing. My daughter looks forward to her class every week and proudly displays her projects and art all over our home. Sean is very kind and great with kids. Our daughter is very shy and he has been able to get her out of her shell and to harness her creativity in a safe space.

Eric Wardisko: Pure magic. The guy who runs the place is brilliant at meeting kids at their skill level and really encouraging them to expand in how they express themselves creatively. My 7 year old is constantly asking when she gets to return and our house is covered in magic art projects that are inspired by what she learned at Neo. My only issue is that there’s no grownup classes!

Hermona Mehari: Sean was so enthusiastic as he explained and prepared the supplies for us! You can tell he has real passion for what he was doing. He brings such positive vibes. I would definitely recommend going here for some great arts and crafts!

mary haddish: Great place, love coming here during the farmers market. Sean is super helpful and fun to work with.

Niyat Mehari Efrem: amazing best place ever. had the best time and i cant wait to go again. sean is super cool!!

Laura Kirby: or shaded open air in summer. There are very cool young teachers helping out the main teacher, with whom my son has a great rapport. Everyone there clearly cares a lot and are very responsive to all the young artists in their care. We're in the process of signing him up for some weeks this summer-my son is already excited for it.

Dashtiel: I'm only loving it because y'all have my name Neo so everytime I see someone say neo I think of me and it's so funny

Katie Naeve: a enriching, in-person activity. I don’t know what we would do without this amazing program.

Anura Shah: What a fantastic, safe and well-organized camp where my 8 year old son really learned about technique and perspective using a variety of art modalities. Schedule was free play and structured time, which is the perfect combination. Thank you!

Jessica Leung: did two weeks of camp this past summer, and came back with loads of amazing creations. From 3D works using air dry clay, to kiln fired pottery, to drawings of hot air balloons and spacecrafts, every piece was so unique. They were so excited to show us their art and to show their grandparents their work over FaceTime. Such creativity on the parts of the teachers and kids! The setup was perfect, safety wise, with outdoor tables, individual tables and supplies, lots of hand sanitizer, temperature checks and masks. Will definitely be back next summer if not sooner!

Sean's Clay Corner: what do users think?

Louis DeTulleo (DoctorLou):

Jimmy Ferrari: Потрясающее место, замечательный персонал и инструкторы очень помогут, если вы новичок в занятиях.

Kris Panchyk: Great place to come and play with clay!

Nora Hager: Awesome time and hours if you love pottery go here

Elizabeth Jimmerson-Alaeddinoglu: Sean’s Clay Corner is a fantastic and versatile studio and class space. It is well managed and has a great cooperative, encouraging and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended for all levels of ceramics enthusiasts.

lee white: excellent creative space, easy to find, great instructors, low key no pressure opportunity to learn pottery basics and advanced pottery skills. Sean the owner is a master at bringing out the best in his students and their creative inner talent. In the heart of Fremont, close to SPU, very well located.

Drygoods Design: what do users think?

Emily Minnette: An amazing shop! The fabric, patterns, and art supplies are one of a kind. The staff is so helpful and warm. A perfect place to buy a present or find something you can’t find anywhere else.

Charlotte Alexander: Wow!!! It is mostly apparel fabrics and an amazing selection.

Rueben Otero: They've got a ton of great fabrics both for apparel and quilting. The apparel could use a bit more variety, but the staff is sweet and helpful and they enjoy my dog in the business. Not a must that i should be able to bring my dog, but it's nice to take a stroll down and pop in.

Brittany Kadansky: Always kind and helpful. I love the curation of goods and the ability to ask silly questions and get answers from a real person!

A F (Pochemu2): Drygoods also carries yarns, notions, indie company patterns and they have classes one can take. The prices are not cheap. And nothing is mediocre quality.Drygoods caters to a creater who is dedicated to a different kind of fashion lifestyle-- conscientious, creative and dedicated.

Catherine Billor (Priester): In store shopping by appointment only. Can also shop their online store.

Stephanie Seufert: I visited Drygoods during my travels before border closures and really enjoyed my time there! They had a lovely variety of contemporary fabrics and cloth perfect for clothing and quilting alike! I also picked up some fantastic sashiko thread for visible mending! Can’t wait to return when my travels resume!

Anna P: Amazing little shop with tons of trinkets and do-dads for crafters! I've taken a few of their classes now and I love it. They're a bit pricey at first glance, but you get a lot of individualized attention and you get to use some of the best sewing machines out there. I love their fabric selection and everyone who works there is so nice! I make the trek to Pioneer Square just for Drygoods Design.

Guy Spainhower: Cute place and I like that they have work shops

Dennis Li: Great place for beginners. Classes are great, instructors are super helpful, and the studio has all of tools for you to work on any project at a really reasonable hourly rate.

Shelly Mills: They were so kind and helpful and nice.

Atari Betamax: I'm not a big crafter so when I'm interested in something it's usually my first exposure. Having helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff goes a long way. I decided push needle might be a fun way to express myself and a friend recommended Drygoods Design. My friend was spot on. I left with the materials I needed and the info to get started. The store was clean and we'll laid out. It was my first time shopping for these supplies so I'm not sure how there prices are compared to other shops. I knew I could find everything online for less but I love to shop local when I can and I want to talk to a human about the craft. I totally recommend this place. They're downtown, for me that was a huge plus.

Kreator Kiki: Lots of good products here. Fabrics and trims high quality, but really pricey. Maybe everythings a bit overpriced, but clean atmosphere and kind people.

Vahishta Vafadari: Great place for sewing classes, as well as materials. The people who work there are very helpful when it comes to getting started or picking a project. The store itself is adorable, and even has cards and things that would make great gifts. Plan to go back there often. Wonderful store for anyone who loves hand crafts or just wants to learn more

Andrea: We took one of the intro sewing classes here and it was super fun and informative! Sewing is actually a lot more technical than I thought it'd be. This place had a fair bit of foot traffic on Saturday when we went. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Maya Jones: Amazing little shop with lots of unique items. They have a nice selection of lovely fabrics and notions. A huge studio on site for the many classes offered as well! Highly recommend!

Gage Academy of Art: what do users think?

miss april MacKay: Love this place

Jack Blaz: Awesome place to do, talk and learn art.

Layla mag: I attended two week long summer camps I just wonder why the portfolio class was cancelled I was look forward to it.

Bruce M: Great learning environment that reminds me of the college times. Teachers are friendly and pay attention to details. Would recommend to people who want to pick up painting in their adulthood.

Tom Johnson: . She also did some creative movement, which she found interesting. Overall, she enjoyed the camp. The location is easy to get to and there are places to park as you do dropoffs and pickups. I wish they did more writing with the book projects, though. It was heavy on the art and not much on the story or writing. I also thought more directed instruction with techniques could have made it better, but I think providing a space for the kids to create on their own, following their own inner artist, so to speak, was worthwhile. The room didn't have AC, but kids didn't seem to mind much. The room was oozing with a sense of art and project-making/building.

angeline Blattenbauer: I have been taking classes here since I was a teen and attended some of the free teen art classes. I continue to take the adult classes, every time I take a class I can feel my skills increase. The teachers are amazing!

Mara Modayur: My son enjoys the classes and we've both been impressed with the quality of instruction and live models. Fantastic school.

Mahalie Stackpole: Atelier style + level of classical art instruction - I love this place. It's old school, no more like olde school. I'm thankful we have access to high quality classical art instruction in Seattle. Most of the classes are instructed by phenomenal professional artists. Agree with other reviews, if you're serious about building fundamental skills in classic mediums this is an amazing place.
