deVuono Hats: what do users think?

Rebecca Borgh: DeVuono hats is fantastic! The owner did a phenomenal job on a 20 year old hat I thought was beyond repair. She got it looking sharp and finished it a week early. It was a pleasure to work with her too.

Anne-g Litwak: Annie is a gem, just like her creations. She breathed new life into an old dusty, damaged black felt cowboy hat that was a gift to me from someone important. I think she sees every hat which she touches as a piece of her. Don't hesitate to call on her ... you can't go wrong.

Kristin MacIntosh: I was about to send my beloved sun hat to Goodwill. It had cost a small fortune and had served faithfully through many beach vacations, but it was decidedly worse for wear. It sat in state on the kitchen counter for a few days and then I thought there must be someone in Seattle who would tell me if it could be reblocked. Google led me to Annie deVuono and what a stroke of luck! Annie said she would give it a shot, but no promises .... and within a few days, my hat was back and looking arguably better than it had when I first purchased it! So delighted to have met Annie and so grateful for her expertise! Before and after photos included here. Thank you, Annie!

A M: Annie is absolutely wonderful to work with. She is compassionate and very understanding. She repaired a hat that my late mother bought me and now my hat has a new lease with life. While in her shop, I saw numerous pieces of beautiful hat dresses and I can't wait to return to scoop some up for myself. Thank you Annie!

Marsh King: Simply fantastic! Annie puts love into her craft. She re-blocked and refurbished my 1940s hat exceeding my expectations. 100% recommend. WONDERFUL!!!

Sharon Hagerty: Annie is a master milliner and a fantastic hat renovator. Her hand sewn brim bindings are so tight and perfect. Annie hand blocks and hand finishes every head piece she creates. Her hat making is top notch. I refer hat work to her everyday. Annie can create any hat you desire. 5 stars!

AW Frey: Not only do I want to hang out with Annie just because she is one of the most interesting and wonderful humans I've met in a while, she also did an amazing job refurbishing my great-grandmother's hat, getting it to a place where I can wear it again. She did this quickly and with loads of love for her craft. I cannot recommend Annie enough - her artistry is amazing, and her own hats are divine and true works of art. I can't wait to go back!

Amanda McGowen: Annie did an incredible job cleaning and re-blocking my dads 50+ year old cowboy hat. It was unrecognizable when I got it back! So happy on how it turned out. Plus she’s such a joy.

Zander Kasador: Annie did a lovely job restoring an old neglected hat for me and helping my wife pick out the perfect fascinator for another milliner's wedding. She was kind, funny, and got the repair job done faster than I expected all for a fair price. She even crafted a hat box so it wouldn't get so shabby again. Thank you Annie!

Sandy Hirsch she her:

Farrah Paul: .

Shannon Kelleher:

Kerri Adams:

T.R. Sloan: .

Anne Hall: ,

Standard Goods: what do users think?

Yogi Donovan: Excellent place for the local minded shopper. A bit more off the beaten path than its Capitol Hill cousin, this particular spot has the goods on clever art work and unique gifts. Think of Spencer’s for when you lived in the suburbs but now you live in the city unironically. Finally, the staff here seems to be willing to share in on any jokes or humor you may have about your lifestyle in Seattle and there are a few hidden jokes amongst the stores inventory itself. Defnitely recommend a visit during a Sunday farmers market!

Derek Herman: Fun place to shop with good prices. Recommended for souvenirs or gift shopping.

Geoff Gaetz: This is the place I bring anyone from out of town to get fun souvenirs! Great clothes and a fantastic staff!! Make sure to vote on their weekly polls.

Jesse James (Jesse): Very cool place, came all the way from Canada to visit this place! I got a rainier beer shirt, some decals, and a sweet bag! There were so many awesome and funny things to spend money on, and the staff was great. Very close to the Starbucks reserve as well.

Lauren Vaterlaus: Fun and cool local gift/clothing store. The staff is nice, they have a cool atmosphere and a great assortment of items in the store. The store has a lot of unique buys you can't find anywhere else in the area.

Chris Kelner: Fun shop, lots of Ballard and PNW fun stuff

GREATDANE206: Cool place to go check out some amazing goods. Friendly environment and great energy

Anilyn America-Hollenbeck: Cute shop filled with hilarious decals, cards, and other giftables. Also has casual clothing with a focus on quality cuts and fabrics at an affordable price point. Every time someone has a birthday, I think of this place. It’s my absolute go-to for cards with some spice.

Joshua Arenson: Love this place. Well thought out, quality, clothing that you want to buy and each piece feels like a treasure. Friendly staff, love popping in here.

Jeff Y: Friendly staff, lots of fun and cool items, clothes, hats, stickers and etc. This is a great place for souvenir and gift items

Gold Dogs: what do users think?

Michael Jeffers: Best damn selections of bolo ties. Great service.

C McKenna: If you love country & western wear, or Nashville honky tonk style, then you’d love Gold Dogs in Ballard… They have a LOT of vintage cowboy boots for men and women, as well as clothes, cowboy hats, lariat ties, jewelry, western belt buckles, and flannel shirts for days.If you’re going to a country music concert or outdoor music festival, you can probably find a great outfit here!

B. E.C.: Such a mouthwatering selection of beautiful country and western gear. Only gripe might be that the used items are all a bit pricey, but I guess that’s the trade off for such a well curated selection. Staff was super friendly and helpful — nice to see a store like this not full of masculine male employees.Huge selection of bolos, belt buckles and boots. Spent a solid 30 minutes combing through all their shirts and still not sure I saw them all. Also a good selection of new gear, though I wish they had more country-related band tees. Will 100% return.

Nina West: What a wonderful store! everyone here was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this store to anyone looking for some sick cowboy hats.

Mary Brush: Yes yes yes yes yesYou need thisYour boot collection needs this

Gina Miller: What a treasure of a store! So thrilled I stumbled upon this gem full of high quality new and thrift western styles and authentic band t-shirts. So lovely chatting with the shop runner, what a great experience!

Kyle Roundtree: Cool broke-in boot collection

Kori Fournier: Super cute stuff, picked up a pair of pantilonies, and luv them ♡

Emily Bernardo: Love everything I’ve ordered so far! The fastest shipping and best quality. Can’t wait to visit the store soon!

Persephone Wakefield: A bit on the spendier side but worth every penny!

Amber Riecken: Super cool store, but prepare yourself for downtown Ballard prices.

Melinda Guertin: Real groovy shop. There's lotsa fun and trendy clothing, a good selection of used cowboy boots and so many of tee shirts! I love the eclectic vibe. AND the staff is awesome. Whatcha waitin for...check this gem out!

The Foundry Screen Print and Embroidery Shop: what do users think?

Roko Bedalov: The sweatshirt prints came out great! Process was easy and was done in a timely manner. Designs looked awesome and stayed on well after many washes. Highly recommend using The Foundry!

Mark Moxley: I am so happy with the service and quality of items received. We ordered some custom hockey jerseys for my daughter's hockey team for their outdoor winter tournament. I contacted them for a quote on their website and they responded quickly so I could provide all the information. The quote they provided had additional options regarding the customization and details to ensure I could make an informed decision and confirmed my due date. The jerseys were received right on time, and they look amazing. I also got a great zip up hoody that has an embroidered logo on the front and printed on the back of a zip hoodie, both are look so clean and detailed.

Sam Harwood: We LOVE working with the Foundry when it comes to merchandise and gifts for our sailing nonprofit. Their team has worked closely with us to make sure we get what we need within our budget, and we're really grateful to know that we can always depend on them for a super high quality product. The work speaks for itself--their embroidery is just beautiful!

Christian Connors: Very easy to work with. Great proofs more options then I asked for and a quick turn around! 10/10

Benny Foltz: solid craftspersonship and great customer service. we had rain jackets printed and they turned out amazing!

Mingjuan Li: Foundry Print Shop is awesome! I recently had a print job done. The shop was extremely helpful in helping me to pick up the right T shirts and get the logo done right in a speedy fashion!!! Definitely will use them in the future!

Lyndsey Thurston: The gang at foundry was such a pleasure to work with. They were so helpful every step of the way, Liz was great providing her input and was so patient with all my questions!

Sally Zapata: I worked with Liz and her team to plan and execute a hoodie project for a hot yoga studio. Liz happily fielded endless questions from me on everything from quantity, colors, logo arrangement and pricing to payment and scheduling. There are hundreds of blank hoodie options available on the wholesale market which can be overwhelming if you can't see and feel them in person. Through our conversations about what I was looking for, Liz was able to present me with the PERFECT option for a high-quality, luxuriously thick, soft, organic cotton hoodie. We could not be happier with the results! The embroidered hoodies are top quality. The Foundry is a first class, customer oriented operation. The embroidery machinery is impressive. We can't wait to work with Liz and the Foundry team on our next project!

burl darden: The Foundry is the way! Top notch customer service from start to finish coupled with perfect design execution on every detail and on time delivery made the entire transaction a cinch.

Christopher Prosser: Easy, consistent, fast with a smile, the Foundry is my go to print and embroidery shop, period.

Avenue East: The Foundry has printed shirts for our band and bands we have been a part of in the past. They've always done an exceptional job with high quality materials, printing, and a quick turnaround time. Everybody we've corresponded with has been wonderful and very helpful during the ordering process.

Gunnar Goodway: The Foundry is an exceptional screen printing shop. I worked with Liz and her team on multiple shirt designs that were to be worn by executive suite members from a massive, global corporation. Not a job to be taken lightly. Despite an expedited timeline, Liz and the team were flexible and responsive throughout the entire process, and I never once felt like they wouldn't be able to get everything done on time and to the quality expected. I couldn't recommend this company highly enough, and the reviews from others who have had a similar experience to mine prove it.

Matt Holloway: Having worked with The Foundry several times now, I couldn't be more pleased! Clint knows his materials, printing details, and was very kind and helpful. My nonprofits have printed hats and t-shirts, and both products were clean, clear, and exactly what we expected. We'll be back for more soon. Thanks, The Foundry!

Isabella Merritt: The BEST customer service! They were able to accommodate my client's tight turnaround for an important event. So incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the design process.

Nick Allen: The Foundry is the print shop I've been searching for!! They were super responsive though the entire quote and design process. Clint had great recommendations for top quality products, and the layouts let the artwork shine! The quality of the screen printing is top-notch. And when I needed to get our gear shipped to Alaska, Forrest and his team were extremely helpful and worked with us to find the most cost-effective solution. VERY IMPRESSED! From now on, I'll be getting our company swag from The Foundry, and I look forward to our next printing project. CHEERS!

Thomas Lusich: Liz, Clint, and Forrest made the process super easy to get shirts made for my business. They are quick, polite and very helpful. Highly recommend

tyton smallwood: Our shirts look great! Thank you Foundry team. 🙏🏾

Alair: what do users think?

Cari Murray: How have I never sang my praises for Alair through a review?! I love Alair so much. It has been my happy place, my candle mecca and my gift-giving savior since the day it opened. You can always find something unique and silly, and the staff is helpful, funny and kind.Highly recommend following them on Instagram if you're not already -- and if you live far away, peruse their online shop asap! They offer curated gift services, which means they'll get as detailed and specific as you ask. I had them create a "happy divorce" package for one friend and a "happy 40th, you're still a college BFF to me!" for another one.Locals, you can also rent the space for private shopping parties during Christmas time -- it's the best way to shop with friends during a busy season!

Julia: Fabulous and unique gift shop in West Seattle! I love the selection of hand made/small batch gift cards, candles, soaps, shower steamers, and more. Warm staff make it an inviting and fun space.

Heather Weizsäcker: VERY cute shop with easy street parking. The items in this shop are beautifully curated! The aesthetic in the shop is so satisfying. Things are grouped together so well. I absolutely loved looking at everything. The nice human working was super friendly and fun to chit chat with, too!

Ketti Johnson-Plant: Love this store!

Roz Mascio: I love this store and sad to see its closing. I'm wishing them the best of luck as they move on to better endeavors. They have a lot of great items and cards to choose from

Miranda Harris Hamlin: Alair is one of the best gifts shops in West Seattle! Every time I go it's like a treasure hunt because they have so many amazing gifts in there. Everyone who works there is so wonderful and happy to answer any questions or give gifting advice.

Allison Curd: Go here. All the time, for everything. This is your go to for birthdays, holidays, achievements, just-because. I also recommend their gift boxes. They have put some together that had the most wonderful surprises in them!

Elizabeth Cantero: Best West Seattle gift shop I have ever been to! Love every thing, wish I had $$$!! You will find most things all “West Seattle” which is nice. We have a sticker on our car from Altair that says, “West Seattle is for Lovers” 😍

Claire Sites: I LOVE ALAIR!!!!!!! Such a fun place to purchase everything you could ever possibly want or need!!!!!

Nicole Jackson: Alair has been my go to gift shop for years. I discovered them when I randomly won an Instagram contest of theirs and have been a loyal customer since. They have something for everyone — and I mean EVERYONE. their goods are high quality, their staff are fantastic, and I love their punch card system for greeting cards. I can’t recommend Alair enough!!!

jodi wenn: Best gift shop in West Seattle!

Peter Schulte: We needed gift wrapping. Shandon and friends made it happen even on the days they were closed. My wife dropped off the gift. She said it looks like a great little gift shop. The gift wrap was really special! They said that all donations for gift wrapping go to charity. We like that!

Mindy Jones: Just a gem of a local shop! Friendly and amazing staff, and equally amazing owner. Everyone remembers my son and what he likes and what he is into and they always have something in stock that he will love. They have great selection of stuff so you can pick up last minute gifts and a quirky card or you can just grab a treat for yourself. I have never made a purchase here that I didn't love. I'm a big fan of their cookbook selection in particular! It is my go-to source for pens too!

Emerald Water Anglers LLC: what do users think?

T S: I highly recommend Dave and Emerald Water Anglers.I did a private casting lesson with Dave because I have an upcoming Canada trip with an opportunity to target some big muskie. I needed to learn how to cast large, 5-9" flies. Despite a little scheduling hiccup, I had a great experience. The shop and Dave were great to work with, and quick to work with me on the scheduling error.I can't say enough about how great Dave's instruction was. He taught me what I need to know for a double haul and for casting these huge flies. He was clear, patient, encouraging, and quick to identify errors in my cast. At the end of the lesson, he gave me some advice for how to practice over the next 5-weeks.Next time I need a lesson or want to book a guided trip, I will definitely be reaching back out.

Stephen Fellin: Such an awesome store. Always incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledge. Well worth going out of your way to visit!

Branden Low: My dad and I went on a full day fishing trip with Matt two weeks ago. I can't thank Matt enough for making this trip such a success! My dad and I hadn't fly fished in over a decade so we needing to retraining. Matt provided excellent guidance to get us back into the swing of things. Throughout the day we changed locations three times to makes sure we were always where the fish were jumping. We flew in from Texas so the added benefit of having the waders and boots ready for us at the fishing hole took the stress of packing gear completely off the table. I highly recommend you book you next trip with Matt. 5 star 5 star 5 star!!

Allison Stoppelman: We enjoyed our half day guided fly fishing. It was the first time for our teenage boys and they loved it! Matt was our guide and he was excellent. He tailored our experience to just what we were looking for and worked hard to get us a good experience!

Tyler Mikell: Excellent service, everyone was super friendly and helpful and they set me up with everything I needed. Had never fly fished for trout but with their guidance I caught ~10 nice fish within an hour the first day. Thanks guys!

Ryan Wodarski: I was able to target a new species and improve my fly fishing knowledge and ability, 2.

Chelle Allen: Matt HOOKED ME UP! I bought a new 8wt rod that needed rigging for salmon and cutthroat. Got the flies I need and super friendly service. I’m a HUGE FAN! I’ll join the woman’s fly group when they meet.

Daren Molina: Cool little shop and friendly knowledgeable staff. Hooked me up with some flies on my way to camp in north cascade national park and they worked beautifully. Caught a bunch of trout off one of the lakes there.

Michael Wheeler: Amazing guide service, Matt is terrific guide and extremely knowledgeable. Could recommend them more!

William Scherder: I had a great time fishing with Emerald Water Anglers on Puget Sound for cut throat trout. My guide, Will Mahoney, was great at providing me opportunities for fish, was a real expert on local wild life, and also helped me work on my casting. I loved the rod we were using so much I stopped in the store the next day bought one.The beaches on Puget Sound are beautiful, often with the mountains in the back round. The water is crystal clear. You will see several types of ducks, eagles, and seals. I hope to return some day and fish it again.

Wayne Thiessen: Nice shop. Shop staff was friendly and helpful. Tight lines!

Hen Chung: Super helpful and very knowledgeable staff. Will go back for sure and their classes look great!

Allison Curd: My review is mostly for Kristen and is long overdue. Last June I did the one-day womens fly fishing school and it was awesome. What I thought was going to be complicated and intimidating was fun and confidence-building due to her awesome instruction and just personality overall. Besides Kristen being super knowledgeable, she is also hilarious. I went to Colorado 2 weeks later and was immediately able to put my new skills to use, resulting in me winning largest catch in the family competition. Thank you Kristen and thank you EWA for offering this!

Mark Watters: Great place.

David Karp: Really friendly staff helped me get set up with a lot of gear. I'm very much a novice, the advice was all judgment-free and focused on getting me to a place where I could have the best time possible on the water

Holden Mead: Absolutely fantastic I was new getting into fly fishing and they helped me out a lot and were fantastic

West Seattle Runner: what do users think?

Deva Cher: I had a great experience with a quick website order. Staff was friendly and helpful

Alex Langston: Staff were super helpful and friendly! I was getting ready for a trip where i knew i would be doing a our of walking, and they succeeded in helping me get the first pair of shoes that didn't give me blisters!!

Duncan McColl: Several people of all levels came in, and got advice about their running questions

Angel Reeder: Tim is quite knowledgeable! He did an analysis, gave a recommendation, and was an around expert that made us feel great about our purchase decision. We'll be going back to him every time we need anything running related!

Andrea Bünger: Best Running store ever. The employees are incredibly knowledgeable and the owners are the best. Always have the best interest of the community and customer in mind. Tim took extra time to get me a fitting shoe which wasn’t easy as I have extra wide feet and high arches but he found one! Lori organizes all these amazing group runs, training groups, info talks, PT night, fun events and so on. If you look for a running store, you found the best!

Glen Sears: . Ferguson, the Master, knew exactly how to achieve the goals I was after and, using the white magic sci-fi pad, mapped my feet in impressive detail then proceeded to guide me through the selection process with very obvious expertise in the matter. The shoes I walked away with are already changing the game for me, but the best part by far was the incredible service. I’ve found my new place.

Amanda Davenport: bought out some shoes for my son to try and checked the fit, his walk and run. No more foot pain. Friendly, helpful staff very competitive prices. A wonderful experience at a locally owned store.

Caitlin Carle: . Reaffirmed today when I replaced those Hokas. You're going to be fitted by what you're doing with those snazzy shoes and NOT the aesthetic. But, even if you're paying for cozy clouds to wear while you walk while others run and to stand eating tacos from a truck while others sprint, WSR will hook you up.

Juan Pichardo: The guy who helped me was very professional.

Joe Drake: Went to free PT night with Biojunction Therapy. Got good advice on foot pain. They come in the store the second Monday every month in the evening to support West Seattle Runner customers.

Tara R: Why would you ever buy shoes anywhere else?! Staff are all so kind and helpful at WSR. They really know the science behind shoes and ensuring you get the right fit. If you have any issues with aches, pains in your feet or legs, they know how to fix it. And they even told me how I can recycle old shoes, which was great to know. I do everything I can to support such a great small business.

Ron Mac: Well it only took 8 years in the Army to realize I needed to see a specialist in athletic footwear for running. Steve had me walk up and down, then run, took some foot measurements. Asked me goals, narrowed down to 2 pairs of shoes. Juanita McLaughlin: Fleet Feet on Capitol Hill is the best. I have shopped there for trail shoes, socks, inserts, general gear and road running shoes for years, and every time I’ve needed help, the experts there have known just the right questions to ask to help me find the right fit.

Juno Men: Went here to get some advice on new running shoes and get sized. The space was clean, easy to find, the shoe selection was great, but the staff was absolutely incredible!Bryan spent 30 minutes with me to size up my feet, recommend shoes, helped me navigate pricing and foot feel.I'd recommend this place both for their products and for the exceptional service.

Francis Smith: Great experience. I walked in, had my feet and gait analyzed, was able to try on multiple different pairs of shoes based on that info. Xavier was very friendly and offered a lot of expertise. No matter your experience, this place will take care of you and get you set up with what you need.

Sean Madden: The staff at Fleet Feet went above and beyond to assist me in finding the perfect running shoes. They patiently listened to my needs and preferences, offering expert advice and guidance every step of the way. Seven Hills Running Shop: what do users think?

Extremely good shop, advice is very good. I really could buy good shoes here.

Lyndon Shi: A good variety of shoes, including minimalist and zero-drop ones. The owner/manager is very nice and so helpful; he brought out 5-6 different models for us to try and explained the differences between them. Other customers received the same level of care and attention too!

Jon-Erik Jardine: Best running shoe selection in the PNW

Joey Groton: Super knowledgeable staff and crazy wide selection, only place I’ve seen to stock almost the full Topo lineup

Benjamin Fox-Shapiro: I love this store, they have an excellent selection and they have some of the best sale prices on high end running gear

Jiang Shayne: They know everything about trail running. Super pleasant shopping experience here.

Kent Hulet: and the shop website photos by Glenn are super cool.

Taylor Cotten: This is THE BEST running store in western WA. Super helpful and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a store that can speak to what you need as a runner whether ultras, technical trails, or fast flat pavement go here. I drive all the way from Olympia because they are so much better than south sound running

Ethan Fritzberg: Great selection, advice, and pricing - best shop in town.

Chris Elliott: Very knowledgeable staff and products they know from a personal level of experience. A must visit if you're serious about athletic footwear. A destination shop.

Shawn Lim: Very nice shop with an impressive range of shoe brands including the latest models.Friendly and knowledgeable staff who was able to advise me on correct sizing.Definitely will return again if given the opportunity!

Sonia Mo: This place has a great selection, excellent customer service and I felt very welcome there! Bought some nice wide shoes. I'll be back!

Megan Toups: Someone at Super Jock and Jill in Redmond recommended this shop to me as they were out of my size in all the styles I was interested in trying. I went to their website and saw that they carried every style of every brand of shoe I was interested in. I was very excited to go in and actually get to try everything and compare shoes better. I've been searching for the right pair of shoes for hiking for several years, but I've found it hard to find what works best for my feet and the issues I have. I really loved the selection of shoes this shop has. I got plenty of help and the man helping me had answers for all my questions and was patient with me while I tried on probably 8-10 pairs of shoes. I won't be going to any other place for shoes after my experience with this place. Thank you guys so much for having an awesome selection and super knowledgeable staff.

Andrea Scott: Love this shop! So much trail knowledge for the beginner all the way to the pro. They always have deals and also can talk you through exploring new products. Could not recommend more!

C.C. Filson Ballard: what do users think?

Brian Capell:

Chris Brown:

Charles F. Wilson:

Joel Parlour:

Megan Brady: Knowledgeable and helpful staff! Incredible quality product.

Patrick Brady: Nice vibe, great welcome. Enviable vinyl collection.

Kyle McMillan: Just a quick visit to grab some boot oil. Filson in Ballard has become my favorite “version” of the store…rugged, small, great selection, and the vintage tunes from the old school record player - all of it make the Ballard Filson a great place to shop.

Samuel Shragge: Wonderful store, amazing people that work there. Top quality. Buy once! Their stuff will last a lifetime!

Jenna Ekornas: This store has the best clothing! Nick and Jeremiah were amazing as well!

Leslie Collinson: Not only is Filson an awesome high-quality brand, but the manager at this location,Jeremiah, is absolutely solid gold. He held the store open 10 min late, and brought a purchase out to the curb in the rain with a smile on his face while I was scrambling in traffic with kids in the car. It was so far beyond excellent customer service - kindness you don’t often run into. I can’t recommend this location enough.
