Staff was very responsive and patient with my questions and schedule concerns. I sought many bids, some coming in cheaper than Artisans, but at the end of the day I chose Artisan because of their staff, customer service and responsiveness. Because they’re a local union shop I take comfort knowing should something go wrong, I have a safety net. I’ve heard too many horror stories about their online competitors not doing their front end due diligence, bidding low then hitting the homeowner up with change orders that drive the price up. Also, the online companies cannot provide a warranty safe house. Bottom line, if you don’t have the time to look me in the eye when bidding my job or responding within a decent amount of time when I’m dropping tens of thousands of dollars, you’re not worth my business. The team of installers worked quickly and it was much quieter than expected. The team was friendly and polite, and they cleaned up the site afterwards.Whenever we hit a payment milestone or external inspection point, someone at Artisan would be in communication and handle it quickly. We had no issues with the permit inspections. A week or so after installation, we were worried one panel wasn't performing normally, and they sent a team over to check it out quickly.We're now about five months past the installation, and everything is working perfectly. The software to monitor the energy generation and usage is interesting and easy to use. Artisan hands over digital copies of documentation for taxes, and photos of the installation from the roof.

Andrew Mast: Had a large electrical job for a remodel that included moving the meter and trenching and several panel upgrades, as well as adding solar.Their entire team is great. Sales guy Ryan was actually an electrician and knew what he was talking about. Amy was able to answer the phone/emails when I had questions and they handled everything with the city. The crew on the ground worked quickly and Jay walked me through the installation at the end.I would happily use them again. Good job folks you should be proud, not every contractor is this on top of things.

Connie DuBois: Highly recommend A & R Solar. They cost a tiny bit more than one other solar company and less than 2 others I received estimates from but there was a good reason I went with them. They have been doing this for a long time and know what they are doing.I wanted the best panels for my money and that is what they provided and knew how to install. During the research phase, I was assigned a team that showed me the sun cycle of my property, reviewed my PSE bills, and designed a system that would best supply my power usage. During the install phase, the team who installed it were very professional. They kept me informed several times each day and explained every step of the install process. They started and finished on time. Upon completion, I was given a very detailed explanation of how the system works, maintenance concerns, warranty, monitoring system, and safety concerns should a PSE power outage occur. Great customer service all around. Glad we did this installation.

Michael Diamond: We had a complicated situation where we were getting panels on a detached garage and our house and would therefore need 2 inverters, but they were able to work with us to figure out how to backfeed the power using our existing electrical line. When doing the installation, they presented a variety of options for how they could run the lines on our house and garage and they did a great job accommodating our requests. The final product looks great, produces power as advertised, and was installed in just a few days without too much disruption. It was a pleasure to work with A&R Solar and I'd recommend them to anyone in the area looking to go solar!
