Tim McCabe: These guys are awesome! I needed copies made of my motorcycle’s unique ignition and fork lock keys. Had two shops that claimed to do motorcycle keys turn me away without even looking at the keys. I finally reached out to Broadway based on a recommendation.Eric was super cool on the phone and asked me to email a picture of the keys and blanks. From a single photo he confirmed they could do it but was able to tell that I had the wrong ignition key blanks. The difference was super subtle to my untrained eye. Saved me a trip down to cut keys that wouldn’t work.Once I had the right blanks I went down in person and in less than 10 minutes I had two new sets that worked perfectly. I definitely recommend them and will use them in the future!

Kristina Mittelbach: I’ve been coming here for probably a decade. This is the best place to get your keys made in the Seattle area! It’s hassle free and always fast. The people there are always very nice and prices are fair. It’s always much better than going to Fred Meyer or a hardware store. I guess the only downside is their parking area only fits maybe two cars at the most. Usually I park on the street but I live in the city and am used to it so it’s no big deal.

Kevin M: A wonderful experience! My wife had mentioned that she was having trouble getting her house key in. I tried graphite, and it made it a little better, but then it got worse again. Then I started having the same issue with my key. I called Ballard Lock and Key to see if I could bring the troubling half of the deadbolt in. I talked to Bob and he started asking me questions. He said I could bring it in and they would work on it while I waited. He then asked me a few more questions while we were on the phone. He shared that he had found graphite in lock cylinders to create more problems than it solves. He suggested that I use WD40 to flush out the cylinder. I got off the phone and tried it and voila! It worked like a charm. I put the deadbolt back together and we now have happy keys and happy homeowners! Helping me with advice over the phone was not at all what I was expecting when I called and I was totally impressed. Next time when the WD40 does not do the trick, I will be heading down to Ballard Lock & Key! Thank you Bob!!!!!

Suman Grewal: My mailbox was broken into. Called Howard & he answered & said he could come out the next morning. There he was, right on time. Took one look at the mailbox & said he wasn't going to charge the service fee, that I should take that money & buy a new mailbox. This one was flimsy & not worth the money to fix.If you look at the previous reviews, you'll see time & time again how many people call him honest and thorough. Not many businesses operate with this kind of ethical standard and it is so so refreshing and incredibly rare. Even though I wasn't a paying customer this time around, I had been thinking about replacing another lock in my house and he's won me over as a customer. I'm calling him back to get that project and any future ones.
