Loxicha Authentic Oaxacan Food: what do users think?

Jane Mathias: , al pastor & chicken enchiladas rojas. The food itself is so tasty and flavorfully sauced up. I enjoyed the veggie torta more than the chicken torta which was still very good. The al pastor was mind blowingly amazing. I could keep on snacking on these. The enchiladas were delicious too. We asked for their spicy sauces and they were really spicy. Portions were good. This place is CASH only so please note that. We placed the order via phone prior to getting there and food was ready in 15 mins. The food itself is delicious and flavorful and I can see myself craving this authentic oaxacan food more often.

Sheryl Schwartz: Just ate there for the first time. I got a carnitas bowl, and it far exceeded my expectations. The meat is so tender and flavorful – moist but not greasy. It included some very tasty grilled onions, and I would’ve loved even more of those. Even the rice and slaw were delicious. The bowl wasn’t huge, but I think that’s a good thing. I look forward to going back and trying more of their menu items. I was glad that I was carrying some cash!

Stevie Wotton: and rice are so tasty.

Fogón Cocina Mexicana: what do users think?

Chris B: If you're in Seattle and looking for real, authentic Mexican food, this is the place to be!

ashish aleti: Fogon Cocina Mexicana is a must-visit restaurant in Seattle. We've been here five times over the last year and have never been disappointed. The dishes here are bursting with fresh, spicy flavors and are not drowned in rice and beans. The restaurant's freshly made tortillas are a standout feature. The portion sizes are just right, and there are plenty of vegetarian options available. Although the restaurant caters mainly to adults, our little ones enjoyed the food just as much. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. However, be sure to book ahead as the restaurant gets busy, and the wait times can be long. Parking can also be a challenge, as it's paid street parking. Overall, Fogon Cocina Mexicana is a fantastic addition to Seattle's dining scene and should be on your must-try list.Vegetarian options: There are clearly labeled vegetarian optionsParking: Parking is tough, you have to keep looking for one on a Friday or the weekend.Kid-friendliness: Although it's more adult oriented, kids can enjoy the dishes thoroughly

Mekia U: We ordered the fajitas which had such great flavor. I'm used to the sizzling fajitas that come to table and that is not the presentation for this dish. Nevertheless it was still piping hot. The street taco sizes shells are made in house and delish. I do hate we were only provided about 3 or 4 shells each for such a large dish and would have had to pay extra for more. Also ordered the agave margarita which was super strong. I barely made it through the beverage. Service left something to be desired but overall a nice place. We waited about 20 minutes on a Saturday night around 6.

David W: This place is one of my top 2 favorite Mexican restaurants in Seattle. Lots of items on the menu, I experienced exceptional service, full bar with specialty cocktails. I highly recommend happy hour foods and beverages. It has some outdoor seating for the lucky few on a warm day in Seattle. The place was packed, a hip, cool place to go on Capitol Hill that has I think excellent authentic Mexican food.Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegetarian options. There was no problem getting the chicken on the side for the nachos for my friend who eats meat.

Luke L: dinner, but I honestly almost wish we had just stayed put.The tacos were outstanding. Each one was packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. The tortillas were perfectly cooked - soft and warm, yet sturdy enough to hold all the delicious fillings. Although I only tried one option, I wish I was able to try them all!In the end, while our dinner at the other restaurant was enjoyable, Taco Chukis definitely stole the show

Richard Bagley: I’m from AZ. I’m no stranger to Mexican food. This is some of the best Mexican food I have had in WA. 🌮🌮🌮My wife and I ordered six things. Both our favorite was the chicken quesadilla.

Jean-Sébastien Goupil: Service is great and fast. The food is always delicious. I go there all the time. However, on a late non busy night, it feels the food was rushed for no reason, so our chicken quesadilla were very hard and dry, as if they use already cooked chicken.

Richie Gowin: Quick service on Cinco De Mayo weekend. Friendly staff and the atmosphere is well themed.Parking: There’s a small parking lot attached but it’s small and difficult to turn back around.

Louise Bendall: Love this place - Such a cool vibe, service is always friendly, and they have so many wonderful vegetarian options!Vegetarian options: Clearly marked vegetarian choices on menu, as well as the option to have kale and mushroom filling in taco or burrito. We tried the vegan calabacitas- Yum!

Joseph Cabiao: My girlfriend calls this place the “best Mexican food in Seattle”. Service was unmatched. Food was flavorful, generous portions, and the drinks were stiff. Worth every minute and cent.

Susanna Ruiz: Not sure it's my favorite....but service was good and food was good....super crowded but relaxed and fun vibeParking: Blocks away...walk Cap Hill always if possible or Uber

Gorditos: what do users think?

Ryan Parr: A solid Mexican restaurant at a frugal price point. Every item is a feast and I'm shocked at how much money I have left in my pocket. Everything on the menu has been great, but my favorite is the Tostada salad, it's truly an incredible experience that I look forward to every weekVegetarian options: Most Mexican dishes can be served without meat.

Mitola: The portions are gigantic and the flavour is definitely there! $20 usually gets you a very sizeable burrito or two enough to stuff you up! Fantastic Mexican food with good service! Do yourself a favor and also order an Elote with your dish. My goodness, they make em good here! 🌽Parking: There is an open gravel lot right next door where you can park, but it is very narrow and uphill. There's usually spots, but be careful coming into and out of this narrow parking lot!

Carlos Vargas: Good food and great service

Kellis Parker: One of the first vegan meals I ever had in seattle. Now I've been eating here for about 22 years, and I have never been disappointed. Great to see familiar faces, and amazing to have a solid vegan option close to home. I always go for the fajita style veggies with tofu, and it's always amazing!Vegetarian options: Be aware that, like many Mexican restaurants, the beans come with cheese on top. Please remember to ask for no cheese if you order beans and want them to be vegan.

Both were amazing. What I thought was a hard to find mezcal showed up and we sipped that.Hard to find authentic Mexican food in the Seattle where you can sit down on a cool afternoon. Alexander Mayton: We had the street tacos and vegetarian enchiladas. We were seated promptly and served quickly for lunch. The service is fast. Staff are professional. The food is great. This is our go-to Mexican restaurant in Seattle.Vegetarian options: Lots of meat-free dishesDietary restrictions: Gluten-free options available

A: Update this last visit we were super hungry and got our food in like 7 minutes.Love it! Food is super quick and delicious! Sometimes there's a very short wait at the front but it's worth it! Favorite dish is the enchiladas. Also prices are fair especially for Seattle! Also they have very quick take out, with great quantities.Parking: There's a small lot behind not sure who's allowed in it otherwise lots of paid street parking nearby, avoid zone 13 spots those people are crazy

Russell Strada: make this a simple solution when you’re looking for an excellent value in Mexican-American style eats. Standards such as enchiladas, rice & beans, tacos and tostadas all shine at this spot. Nothing fancy, just deeply satisfying tastes in a casual environment. Great spot for lunch or dinner if you’re visiting nearby venues like Seattle Center or SIFF Uptown Cinema.

Annie Lou: This place serves such delicious food! I take everyone here who comes to visit. Great for birthdays and special occasions, pre-gaming or just relaxing in a friendly environment. The drinks are very well prepared.Vegetarian options: Ask! They will sub mushrooms in tacos and enchiladas, but I always get tortilla soup with chicken on the side for my pupper!

Fiona Zeng: Seattleites escape Seattle for Vancouver all the time when it comes to getting good food. My Vancouverite friends are used to accessible quality grub, so whenever a new guest visits Seattle, I have to bring them to the best spot to make their roadtrip worthwhile. Villa Escondida, you are a lifesaver every time. The trusty spot where I can guarantee good eats every darn time, no matter the guest's dietary restriction-- carnivore, omnivore, or vegan.Vegetarian options: Can request to exclude dairy to make meal vegan, which is just as awesome of an experience.

Jo aisen: It’s a great place! The food is so yummy even though the flavor is still a little different from what I had in Oaxaca, Mexico.Recommend to try the pozole, it’s so good! And they are generous, they give a lot of pork and hominy in the soup. Their tacos are the best!! Definitely try the Taco Al Pastor! 🤤 Delicious!Their lunch menu and dinner menu are different. Oscar Madrigal: One of the best Mexican restaurants in Seattle, if not the best of them all. I was impressed with the quality of food, the service and the environment. They have a little cart running around with pastries and mimosas for brunch. Genius idea. The flavor is authentic Mexican, they really stick to the recipes and give you a real Mexican food experience. Highly recommended

Jeremy Anderson: Just an overall wonderful experience! Not your usual burritos and enchiladas. Lots of interesting traditional Mexican food elegantly prepared and presented. The staff was enthusiastic and felt happy to see us.We'll absolutely be back soon!

Louise Bendall: One of the best Mexican restaurants in Seattle is now open for brunch on the weekends and it’s fabulous! They have a mimosa cart with four juices and a party cart with hot chocolate! They have cafe de olla! They have two kinds of chilaquiles! As we have come to expect from D’ Ma Santa, the food is absolutely incredible and the service is wonderful. This restaurant is an absolute gem. We will be back soon to try more on the menu.

Holly Simmelink: We have thoroughly enjoyed two meals at D' La Santa. The corn tortillas are so fresh! I don't typically choose corn tortillas but am glad I did! The tacos are hearty and tasty. The guacamole is fresh and served with the fried version of the fresh corn tortillas. The margaritas and sangria are refreshing. Vegetarian options are good, the cactus in particular was enjoyed. The service is fast and Manuel in particular made us feel at home and welcomed. The space is absolutely beautiful.

Food is WONDERFUL-large portions. Fresh. Service was excellent! From greeting to check out. AMAZING! Micaela was so attentive and helped us with our dietary restrictions. Great place. Would definitely return.Dietary restrictions: We needed to make some gluten free adjustments and they were easily done!
