Tim Burton: Employees didn't jump on me trying to make a sale

Robert Schuppert-McDonald: I was able to sell two electric guitars I inherited. The staff was super helpful and nice even though I know nothing about guitars.

James Shelton: Great shop, expert staff. It's hard to leave empty-handed.

Kenneth Domino: Fast service good deals.

j. paul: This a a great music store with an old school feel. Best part of my experience is that the staff is super friendly and laid back and not pushy or hovering. ❤️

McKay Matheson: Super helpful staff!. They went the extra mile in providing options and answering questions, weren't pushy in selling me anything I didn't need.

Brendon Johnson: Helpful staff, totally fine with letting you demo gear, and pretty good selection overall!

Colby Goettel: Super friendly and helpful staff. Really really good prices on everything. Was able to play around on several pieces, take my time without pressure, and find what I was looking for. The staff was great when I needed help and absent when I needed space and time. Exactly the experience I was looking for.

Andrey Karayvansky: Great place! So sad they are closing out.

Eric Wardisko: ☠️ .R. I .P. ☠️👁️ It’s not gone yet but it will be by May 31.Get in there and put a few tears in the floor. This place shed the blood of my children with broken guitar strings and they shall never benefit from the sacrament of their suffering. A truly senseless and tragic closure. I will miss this place forever.

Ewan Hruska: Sorry that this store is closing for good very soon. They have been an amazing source for a lot of musical artists here in Seattle. Sad day when they close their doors for good. :(

Keala Milles: Nothing to say. This place is the best

Chey Costello: The best instrument shop in Seattle, and probably the country. Genuine expertise and kindness from the staff. We need more shops like this in the world.

David N Reno: Been going here since I was 13, and always dig the selection 🤘❤️

Poor Premenstrual Darling: Got a beautiful guitar and they even accessorised it! Shame they are closing 😓💔

Charlotte Alexander: I love this store so much! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices seem fair and reasonable. A true Seattle gem.

Steve The Mechanic: For you Drummers., need parts for your kit, here is your place

Kevin Cameron: A nice spread of use, esoteric instruments and electronics. Friendly, helpful staff. Parking on side streets off Roosevelt.

Dan Becker: One of my favorite used instrument stores of all time. Definitely the one I've spent the most time in and bought the most gear from. So long and thanks for all the fish, gang - you'll be sorely missed, and fondly remembered.

Sherry Fan: this store has consistently great prices and amazing, personable staff!! save trading musician please :’(

Sonia Mo: Thank you for all the fun visits, cool gear, funny spec descriptions and the Black Metal tapes!

Ted Brown Music: what do users think?

Aaron Kahn: Matt and his team run a great shop. He generously lent me a high-end Bach Strad trumpet at a very fair price and did so with consummate professionalism and support for my professional needs as I was waiting for my Shires horn to be repaired. I am truly indebted to Ted Brown and will trust them with musical needs I may have in the future!

winnie: Fantastic experience as someone who is disabled! I was unsure if I'd be able to play an instrument again but Nat was incredibly patient, helpful, and made sure I was comfortable. Really went above and beyond, thank you all!Parking lot was big and looked accessible as well- hard to find in Seattle.

Carter: , and having it moved from their Tacoma store to Seattle for me to try out. I was given a private room with the cello to try as long as I needed. All in all, a happy customer. Thanks TBM!

Delanie Montoya: Ted Brown is awesome. I had an old clarinet that needed everything replaced and it came back to me looking brand new! The turnaround time was also fantastic! The staff is super friendly and helpful!

Michael Zou: got my first guitar here and am very happy, staff are friendly and helpful and their products seem to be quality as well. i never review stuff but this place was a standout

Catherine: Got a great beginner’s guitar lesson!

chloe mai: ive had a great experience here. the three times I have ruined my trumpet this year ted brown's repair guy Tim was always reliable, fast, super kind, and very reasonable! the last time, I totaled my bell and one of the spit valves. I went to another repair place that I've heard great things about, and they didn't even take a single look at my trumpet. they just told me that they were lined up with appointments until a month later and that it would be $100. So ofc I went back to Tim and he fixed the whole thing for only $25! I was back playing again the next day. This guy really goes above and beyond. he doesn't try to fool or trick u into thinking that the fix would be hard and costly. hes super honest and straightforward. Ted Brown will always be our go to repair shop from now on.

Will Gross: Very friendly staff.

Lawrence Fosnick Davis: The service is excellent and if they don't have something they are happy to get it transferred from another store. We were there for a tux shirt for band and they were great.

Joshua Lang: Great customer service and support.

william Field: They have a lot of acoustic & electric instruments, sheet music , lessons & practice rooms.

Cary Emens: Great music shop with very informative and helpful staff. A great musical instrument destination especially in these times where a lot of music stores are closed.

Raul Robles: Very happy with my experience here! Found most everything I needed for band/wind ensemble-related activities. Also had to get my instrument serviced, and the technician and people working there went above and beyond my expectations. 10/10 would recommend

Georgetown Music: what do users think?

Jeff Albertson: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A great spot to buy, sell or consign new, used or vintage gear. Always something cool to check out here.

Khanthaly Nualsaeng: I was recommended here by a local friend, and I was not disappointed. Brent was friendly, if a bit quiet, and engaged with my questions well! The check-out process was quick and satisfying with no manufactured pressure to buy more. I loved that prices on used gear were low, even if they were like-new; really encourages to re-home these beautiful tools and waste none. I'll always remember where my first bass is from.

David Yama: PS: Traded a Epiphone Les Paul for an Epiphone SG here, and I'm over the moon. Great freaking setup guys, can't put this baby down. Good job good job, as one days.

Rafael m: Walked in with a question and walked out with gear.

Josh Wise: I always have and always will love an independent music store. This scratches that itch for me

quin: good amount of stuff

Kheda Medley: Bought my first guitar here. Bruce was INCREDIBLE, always support local business. Knowledgeable staff, genuinely seemed interested in getting me started and set up, met my needs perfectly. Thank you

J W: Great resource and friendly people!

Pete Blunk: So helpful! Great shop, got a great deal on a used Les Paul. First time I'm there and they were super friendly and it's a great small business. I'll definitely go there for anything else I need. ♥️♥️♥️

Katt Purington: Guys behind the counter are knowledgeable about all things in the shop and give good advice/recommendations on pedals and guitars. Appreciate the store's selection of picks!

Todd Todd: Rare and special.. a great guitar store with NONE of the creepiness of the corporate guitar chains

Ean Paget: These guys are great. Very knowledgeable staff who are patient and eager to assist. We need more mom and pop music stores!

Los Ramos: was a wonderful first-time musical instrument shopping experience. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable and respectful even with 1,000 basic questions fired their way. Not at any point did my wife and I feel like we had stepped onto a car-lot with salesman salivating at the mouth trying to get us to sign on the dotted line, like a few other stores did that day. They seemed just as concerned that we found what it's that we were looking for, as we were. Sale or no sale, we weren't treated any different and you can tell they both have passion for what they do. All that on top of a beautiful guitar in stock it wasn't hard to come back later that day and make a purchase. We will definitely continue to do business with them. Thanks guys!

Kennelly Keys Music: what do users think?

Eric Horner: They had what I needed and the staff was nice.

Danny Finan: I recently had a wonderful experience here. My son inherited a violin from a great grandfather and it needed to be completely restrung and tuned up. I’m clueless about instruments so walked in hoping for a good experience. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and they were able to string the violin on site in 20 minutes. In the meantime my son and I had a great time looking at the huge selection of instruments.

Ilya Veli: Great store, great quality selection of guitars. Super knowledgeable staff. I've bought 3 guitars , harmonicas, ukuleles and audio equipment. Great service.

Kevin Corbett: Super Knowledgeable & Amazing Service!Thank you Laura for on-the-spot education & guitar stringing!

Steven McAbee: Open on Sundays, decent selection of stringed new and used instruments, helpful staff.

Anne K: I take guitar lessons here and am always happy to go. The staff people are very nice and remember you after just a few visits. Even when they are busy, they have a smile and a cheery hello for everyone. The music teachers that I have met are all nice as well.

Yita Nicholas Rivera: I love this place. Staff is helpful when it comes to finding what you need or redirecting you to another store that has it. Fun things to make memories with the family.

Ben Lang: . The flute technician is very professional and nice. The price is reasonable. I paid 85 for my flute maintenance, which was very within my budget. The main store employee I usually see, Lara

Dusty Strings Music Store & School: what do users think?

Stephen Smith: I came down from Canada for a Mariners game and wanted to check this place out after the game, as I’ve heard good things. It’s amazing! I wasn’t in the market for any big instrument purchases, but got some picks and an instructional book. I had such a fun time checking out the mandolins, banjos, dulcimers, and ukuleles. I know nothing about harps but admired the ones they make in house. And I was so happy to finally go to a music store that stocks quality ukuleles and not just the cheapest entry level ones available! I had a great conversation with one of the employees about ukuleles and another one at the cash register who checked me out. They were both super friendly and helpful. This place is amazing and now I know I have to come by whenever I’m in Seattle!

Bruce Baker: Incredible selection of instruments, supplies, books. Active rooms for gathering to jam, sing, learn. A treasure.

Laura Alexandra: They have a wide variety of instruments and they are also a school. People are very nice here and if you have any doubts they are happy to help

Anna Hagen: From harps to stools to harp specific pickups, Dusty Strings products are some of the best investments I've made as a musician and performer. Great products and great people!I'm a fulltime professional harpist and my first Dusty Strings purchase was the padded harp stool-- I've carried it to every gig for 15 years and it is a back saver! Then I installed the Dusty Strings pickup in my pedal harp. Despite the nerves of applying glue to my instrument, the installation was easy and the pickup made gigging instantly better! I can plug in by myself or connect with a sound engineer in a minute. Because I could amplify and not strain myself trying to be heard, I recently performed 28 gigs in one month. I've used their pickup so much I've installed two more in my 36 string lever harp and 25 string lap harp! But the best thing is the Dusty Strings team. They are so gracious to work with. Whenever I had a question about their products and my harps, I would call and get wisdom and tips from people who are obviously passionate about their products. I love any chance to interact with them.

Ralph Palmer: Excellent store for new and used instruments as well as lessons. Mostly fretted instruments, I think.

Kaya Peterson: I went here to rent a banjo yesterday and the customer service exceeded all expectations. I'm a beginner and they gave me an extremely thorough overview of the instrument and just generally seemed to really care about music and the instruments and enjoy introducing people to those topics. In addition, the rental process was simple and a fair price, in my opinion. I'd highly recommend going to this store, we are lucky to have local businesses like these in Seattle!

David Pfister: John in the repair shop was very knowledgeable and able to lower my guitar action to a much nicer height. Very neat shop, check it out.

Susan Canfield: I recently went to Dusty Strings with a precious guitar made by my husband in the early 1970s. He passed and I wanted to get it repaired so it can be played at his memorial service. The two Jacobs I met with there were exceptional. Jacob P was sensitive and helpful with my request, and Jacob C did a beautiful job on repairing the guitar in time for the service. He did an assessment, explained each step of the repair process, and communicated along the way. Rarely does one see such thoroughness and pride in workmanship as demonstrated by Jacob C. I highly recommend him, if you ever need repair work on your musical instrument. Thank you Jacob C and Jacob P!

Na Hyung Choi: Quality instruments, wide selection, knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff, every time.

Dhairya Thakkar: Extremely warm and courteous staff. Really good customer service.

Marcus: Amazing music shop with friendly and helpful staff, loads of stringed instruments, lesson of all kinds. It was a lovely experience going there, and I'm gonna sign up for singing and song writing lessons... ❤️...parking is a little difficult as it's on a busy intersection, so you may need to park on some side streets.

Alexander: Great selection and probably some of the best customer service anywhere in the city. Got my first guitar here when I was 9 as well as my most recent one at 24, and the service/experience has remained consistent the entire time

Matthew Sarb (Matt S): Dusty Strings is a welcoming and wonderful store! Every time I come here, I am inspired to make music and play the harp. 5/5, without a doubt.

Patchwerks LLLP: what do users think?

Emily Hancock: Very nice store with helpful staff. The classes are great!

Ben: the employees are knowledgeable, honest, and extremely helpful. been going for years and don’t plan to stop any time soon. don’t think i’d be nearly as far musically without some of the kind people at this store. thank you!

Patrick Au-Yeung: What an amazing shop. So many synths you can try in person. Very knowledgeable staff, and the interior design is cozy yet spacious.

Elena Siegman: One of the coolest spots in Seattle. They are so helpful and community oriented. I'm always nervous to ask questions or for help for my burgeoning hobby making music electronically. Not here. They are happy to help and foster an incredibly supportive atmosphere. Also it is so fun to walk in and hear the beeps, boops and whirrs of people playing around with their synths and patches.

Emily Rose: Unlike any other synth shop. Hit up their go fund me so we can keep them in business. Specialty knowledge worth the prices, practically a library and the best synth shop in the PNW. Eurorack fans rejoice! they will help you troubleshoot damn near anything and they’re so friendly. Amazing gear refs that will save you thousands in stumbling through on your own, many hobbyists themselves working here!

Jason Blair: Amazing place with people steeped in synth lore and culture! Deep knowledge of all things EM with emphasis on Modular synthesis. Simply the best!

Colin Meyer: More bleeps and bloops than anywhere, super friendly staff, helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to help you figure out how to make weird noises

Joe Breda: The best store in seattle!

Eric Ringger: Old school Radio Shack vibes for this n00b.

Charles Coslor: Very cool store. This was my first visit and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The employees are inviting and not pushy about anything. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The fact that they have something like 18U by 208HP and it's available to fiddle with is really really awesome.

Michelle Wiles: Excellent place for all you electronic musical needs!

Luiz Alfredo Martins Junior: I bought 2 keyboards when I was in Seattle... Amazing service! You feel free, you can test as many times as you want on the keyboards, very different from here in Brazil. And great prices too.

Aria Blair: I could spend hours and hours here just exploring dozens of amazing instruments all out for you to touch and enjoy. They have a gigantic euro rack they just encourage and even teach you to mess with. I made some utterly awful patch and had a blast. If you're even a little interested in electronic music or just like... Music at all, this is heaven. The staff are wonderful, the prices are absolutely reasonable especially for their used gear. I literally take people here from out of town because it's so cool.

Emerald City Guitars: what do users think?

Kyle Caraway: Great customer service. This is what guitar shops are supposed to look like, and even smell like. Reminds me of music stores back when I was a kid. Was passing through town w less than an hour to kill. Stepped in to check out the shop. What a great vibe and the staff was super friendly. Would love to be able buy something more than a t shirt next time. Highly recommended.

Wasabi Samba: Jay and Liz have helped me several times with a supportive and kind attitude! Thank you! Love this place.

Hunter Preston: Guitar heaven, awesome folks

Lotte Off: This is a good all around guitar store and seems to be one of the last ones. It's behind the locked metal gate, just ring the bell. Have many good accessories as well.

Jordan Lamb: This is one of my favorite guitar stores in the country! These guys know their stuff and are so cool and accommodating. Much love 🙏

Ian F: Beautiful store with tons of vintage gear. Friendly employees. A pleasure to walk in and shop. Came all the way from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to see it and was not disappointed.

Guitar Center: what do users think?

Max Kim: Awesome employees! Very nice and knowledgeable.

Andrey Karayvansky: were super helpful!

Frank: Best

Bouala Keopraseurt: I went here during the day and towards closing. It's pretty busy during the day and staff are everywhere and helping customers. And then there's closing.... Not as many workers, but they didn't seem to care bout the customers, unless the customers was going to buy something. They only ask " how they can help you " once and that's it... I thought it was really rude and unprofessional. My advice is go during the day if you're needing/ wanting help with your music stuff.

JamesDAAH: Great staff. Very helpful.

George Alderette: Best Guitar Center in WA State. Knowledgeable, helpful and Outstanding Customer service and support. Inventory is well maintained and always organized ensuring a great shopping experience.

juan montealegre: Had the pleasure of being assisted by Lizzy, who was proficient and dedicated, had an intimate knowledge of the features and selling points that make a purchase relevant; and even pointed me to a guitar that I wasn’t planning on buying and through objective demonstration convinced me to get a guitar that I am now TEN times more excited to get.Super friendly and patient staff, clean and organized store and really fun to roam around and get lost in it.You guys rock!

Poor Premenstrual Darling: The beautiful man who works here gave me brilliant and thoughtful advice 🙏

Suraj - Progressive Comfort Solutions: These folks are so great. Ryan in the guitar department is the man. So so helpful. Also, the Store Manager Tyler was extremely helpful and gracious. They folks know their stuff and really care!

Delina Valadez: It was friendly service

Spencer: Employees were very welcoming and helpful. Definitely makes me want to come back, thanks!

Music & Arts: what do users think?

Michael Perkins: Local downtown Burien shop for musical instruments, supplies, sheet music and private lessons.

Felicia C: . There's ample parking at this location as it is shared with the other nearby/attached businesses. If you live in Burien or the nearby areas, it is extremely convenient. I HIGHLY recommend seeking this Music & Arts out for all their music needs. :

Cara Ivy: Great place for renting school and instruments!

Matteo Griffin: Every interaction I have had with this store has been good. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, MUSICAL! Pricing for rentals is affordable and the payments actually accrue equity towards an eventual purchase.

quin: i get lessons here, really nice

stephanie kuborssy: I am a band director in the area, music and art has been nothing but helpful in times of need not only for my program but for personal needs.I emailed them asking if they had any means to donate instrument name tags one year, and they brought me boxes full of them for free.I asked them if they could help me finance an instrument and they did everything to let me shop/play test before purchasing.Anthony is an incredible worker, he is always helping me out when I call. I recommend music and art over Ted Brown not only for basics but for repairs and purchasing.

Vance: Nice little store. Pretty decent selection.

Shedlie Louis: Great school

S Berg: Always friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff here.

stephany choi: I am learning piano from this location and I really enjoy coming here. My instructor is amazing and staffs are nice as well.

Jojo Hendrix: The employees here are super helpful, and even helped us string my daughter's violin, for free!

Jason Maroney: Been coming here for years. Lessons for my daughter, instruments, sheet music, and free guitar stringing with string purchase. And amazing customer service. Great with all ages. 😊thank you!

Jaime Muñana: I have been coming to this store for over a year now. Everytime that my daughter and I have been there, the people have been so kind and very helpful. I would like to point out that "Christian" has always been very instrumental in addressing our concerns! I highly recommend this store to any parent looking to either purchase or rent an instrument for their child!

Heather Shropshire: Great customer service.

Timothy Thedford: Evan, Anthony, and Amy. I love this shop, love them. Amazing customer service, just really kind, sweet people. They all deserve raises. Don't shop at stupid Guitar Center. Come to Music & Arts. It's my favorite music shop in Seattle.

Anita Fairbanks: full-size viola in Washington, and the quality is delicious. This month, I purchased two violas with Anthony using our credit, and he was amazing. He helped me find an upgrade, walked me through shipping, was quick to respond, and was very knowledgeable about my rental history and available discounts. Over the years, I figure I probably have saved two or three thousand dollars by using the Music & Arts program that grew with my three kids. I strongly recommend these stores for homeschooling and for personal music education. They really went above and beyond with me.

Rosewood Guitar: what do users think?

Scott Hoagland: During my brief visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service I received. Even though I don't play guitar, I needed my instrument restrung, and the staff at Rosewood Guitar were incredibly helpful. The gentleman who assisted me was kind and patient, and he gave me a set of strings and directed me to online resources to finish the job myself. He didn't pressure me into buying anything or try to push a profit, which was refreshing to see. It was evident that his priority was ensuring I had what I needed to complete the task at hand.Overall, my visit to Rosewood Guitar was a positive experience, and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of guitar services. The staff's knowledge and willingness to help, combined with their dedication to excellent customer service, made for a great experience.

Robert Lewis: I was looking for a new guitar, and had something very specific in mind. Rosewood had a guitar that matched what I was looking for at a very fair price. There was no effort to sell me something different. A perfect no-hassle transaction. I cannot imagine a better shopping / buying experience.

shayne mckean: I took in an Epi Flying V that needed some nut and fretwork. Absolutely happy with the work! It now plays as well as any Gibson I have. Kyle did a fantastic job! Thank you!

Meghan McCormick: . They donated a guitar case to store the instrument in.

Kevin Haylock: Very helpful and will take their time to assist and advise anything you may need

Aaron Kassover: Great shop with a beautiful selection of guitars across all prices. The guitar I bought cost 95% less than what the other customer in the store bought while I was there, but they were happy to give me just as much help and attention.

Stephen Oliver: to be told as the first response to me

Teri Smethurst Yeh: Great guitars. Recommend!

Rosalyn Grau: My son love this place. The owner was courteous and very helpful to us. I recommend this place a hundred percent.

Bischofberger Violins Ltd: what do users think?

kat: , as well as sheet music. I would highly recommend coming to this shop!

Hanah Choice: They were so kind and informative when I came in to upgrade my cello strings

Jay's Prius: Super cozy and sweet, love the vibe.

Troy Kaser: I needed to rent a viola for my 4th grader. The staff here were super helpful and took the time to set us up for success.

Ben M: A brilliant, magical little store. I came in to rent a violin as an adult beginner and i was treated to expert service and pleasantly persuaded to rent a viola instead. Well 6 months later and I'm really happy I chose the viola. Highly recommend this shop!

Anne Cisney: Wonderful staff! Very knowledgeable and great in talking with my kids.

Jurni Roco: As you walk up to the shop you're greeted by an old world sign perched high on a former clock post with the words "Violin Maker".The door is festooned with an old sign made of a top plate. As you carefully open the door you're immediately transported into an old world studio. Youll see a wide range of instruments awaiting new players, and students waiting for their turn at private lessons in one if the studios above. You might find an unfortunate soul explaining how they broke their instrument that they've brought in for repair. It feels like magic.

Stacy Yen: Great service and quality instruments

Ann Allen: . Friendly staff, great value/quality. Inspiring just to be in the store.

Lisa Leingang: Very helpful staff. Informative. Not pushy. Will definitely be using this shop for more musical needs in the future.

Phil Hirschi: Love going into their beautiful space.

Rachel F: Always really friendly here, I love having a string shop on Capitol Hill! In the past they have let me us industrial cleaner on my bass to get the incredibly sticky rosin off the varnish which was so sweet of them. Recently there has been a supply chain issue with bass rosin. I went there not expecting to find it and I did I was expecting it to be dry, but I was blow away to find that they had just gotten it in after not having it for a while and it was super fresh at that!

Stefan Tabit: Love the vibe of this place! The staff were quite friendly and let my friend take all the time they needed testing out several different cello bows.

Charity Sandstrom: Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly service

Molly Melbye: Bought a Klier Cello from Bischofberger late in 2020 and the face split open when the temperature changed a few months later. They first offered a repair without charge, and when that didn't work they issued a refund without hassle. I am deeply grateful for them taking very good care of my trust. I'll be back!

Granlund Woodwind Repair: what do users think?

Lyn Woods: Scott was a lifesaver today. My daughter is preparing for a clarinet audition and some of her keys started clicking when played. Scott was able to take a look at her clarinet on the spot. A little over an hour later, he had replaced 2 screws and some cork, fixed an air leak and an issue he discovered with a couple of keys. One of those problem keys were used frequently in the piece my daughter is playing for her audition. After getting home, she played her audition repertoire much better than before and the sound is noticeably richer and improved. She says it's much easier to play the pieces now. Thanks so much!!!

Denise OToole: Don't let the neighborhood scare you away from this gem. Super resonible and professional. Quick service, too.

Sharon Drasnin: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueOver the last decade, Scott Granlund has repaired clarinets for my husband. Top-notch work. My only feedback for anybody taking your woodwind to Scott to repair is to agree with Scott on a repair completion date so there is no confusion, especially with COVID making it so tough for Scott - he had to move his business.

Natalie C. Pawlikowski: Amazing work on my Selmer clarinet - I hadn't realized how bad it had gotten until he returned it to me tenfold times better!

Jake Summers: Scott was great! I was looking for a shakedown on a clarinet I bought online. He got me all fixed at a reasonable price and quick turn around time. I would highly recommend and use his service again.

mark sophia: Scott is does amazing work! I’m a touring musician and was in Seattle for a week. My English horn needed a fix in the mechanism and Scott gloriously fixed it 2 hours before my show. Thank you Scott!

Cody Thompson: Quick work, very friendly, fair pricing

Spencer Schwegler: Hole in the wall shop, but Scott has been fixing woodwinds for 26 years. H knows what he's doing.

Todd Guitars and Repair: what do users think?

Hannah Chapin: I brought Todd a guitar that had sentimental value but was by no means a high-end instrument and he still treated it with all the care and attention he's so well-known for. The work was very well done, the guitar is now in great shape, and I highly recommend Todd and his work!

Gabriel Villarreal: . We went through each one, and he told me his recommended repairs and adjustments. He was upfront about the amount of work each guitar would require, and he was supportive when I was a bit sheepish about putting money into an old acoustic, my very first guitar. For the amount of the repairs, I could probably have gotten a new, decent, entry-level guitar, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted to keep playing this guitar.Less than a week later, each guitar had a cleaned fret board, polished frets, new strings, a full setup, handcarved bone nuts, and other repairs and adjustments. The acoustic also had a brand new bone saddle and years worth of wear and tear repaired. Todd even repaired a crack in the headstock I had forgotten to mention, and he didn't even charge me for it. Todd also gave me a discount on each guitar because I brought in a decent amount of work. Each guitar plays like a dream. I've never heard my 17-year-old acoustic sound so articulate. Warm and clear at the same time. My Epi casino resonates so much better, and this 30 year old Vantage-brand jazzbox plays like I always wanted it to, and it now stays in tune.I'll be back for more work soon. Thanks, Todd!

Zachary Rogers: Getting on Todd’s waiting list and having a pro set up your guitars is well worth your time and money. There’s a reason he’s in demand. I dropped two guitars off with him for fret leveling and setup, and both came back a week later new instruments. I get to experience both of these guitars fresh a second time thanks to Todd’s work. I appreciated how he had me come in, sit down, and talk about the guitars. I was able to explain what I like and don’t like, what I thought might be wrong with the current setup, my style of playing, and what I’m hoping to achieve. He delivered. Period.

Leonardo Bugarin: Broke the headstock of a new guitar and after reading the reviews in here I got really interested to see what was the deal with this guy, as I wasn't keen to take it to any random place. I wanted someone to give it proper love and care.Well, I'm just gonna say that he is a proper artist and craftsman, the real deal. Honest, quality work.Although I'm a guitar noob, I can see and hear the work that was put into it. It feels and sounds really good, much better than when new, and I even like the barely noticeable scars. A reminder of having to be more careful, and of the surgical work. Thanks again dude.

Josh Whelan: Todd gave my Strat a perfect makeover. Re-fret, expert set up, plays like a dream, all for a super reasonable cost. Took extra time to talk me through the repairs. Expert craftsmanship and a real professional. Thank you, Todd!

Steve Browne: Fret work on my Collings C-10 was masterful !!! Wouldn’t trust anyone else w my guitars. Very reasonable work rates as well. Thanks Todd 😎.

Justin Gilsoul: . He definitely gets the most out of any instrument, regardless of whether you bring him the highest quality instrument or even a low quality sentimental or nostalgia piece. He's a cool dude and I think he might be part wizard.

Randy Peacock: Todd did some magic to my Taylor 814ce and made even more of a joy to play. He listened to what I was looking for and accomplished it to a "T"!! Highly recommend, and he will be getting a couple of more guitars from me!

AnthonyWW68: My Dean MLX needed a lot of work. Todd not only did a great job, but professionally installed the Fret Zealot too, which is a great tool for learning. Nice work, and he didn't give this beginner a bad time like... some other place did. I'll be going back.

Houston: Todd Baker is an anachronism, a throwback to when craftsmen took great pride in their work. He lives in a binary world: it is either done right or it is not done at all. In this day and age, a man of his personal integrity is rare. He brings a lifetime of knowledge and hands-on experience into each and every project. Todd has an eye for detail and an ear to match; he will fine tune your instrument and will not stop until it is truly dialed in -- to your satisfaction. As a player, you cannot ask for anything more.He has recently breathed new life into my Yamaha SG-1820, an Edwards Custom LP-90 and a chopper Squier Jazzmaster. The action on all three is just how I like it: not too high, not too low. There are no dead spots. Each one is quiet, yet alive and responsive to the touch. I feel fortunate to have such a high quality of work done on my beloved little beauties. What have I done to deserve all this? I have no idea. Todd is currently doing a refret on my mid-eighties black guard Fender Japan Tele. I can't wait...

Peter Schilling: Todd says on his website that he gives all he has to each instrument until he gets it right. After entrusting some of my most important possessions to him, I'll tell you that's the honest truth.I got on Todd's waiting list late last year and brought him six guitars and a bass all at once a couple weeks ago, a mix of acoustic and electric from several decades. One of them we agreed wasn't worth putting anything into, but the others had years of deferred maintenance. Most of them were borderline or outright unplayable. Bone nuts and fret levels for all, bone saddles for the acoustics, a refret on a strat, a structural repair for an acoustic, and some wiring repairs on another strat. Todd had them all turned around within 10 days, save a strat with a bad pickup that he was able to replace while I waited a couple days later once I got the new part.Phenomenal craftsmanship and customer experience. Todd matched the setups precisely to my specifications for action and string gauge, really taking the time to understand how I think about the sound I'm after. He even gave me something of a bulk rate, rounding down some of his listed prices due to how much work I brought him. But honestly he could have charged 50% more and it would have been fair for the quality of the results.I cannot overstate my delight at playing each guitar once Todd was done with them. Every one comes alive in my hands and in the room like they were probably meant to in some luthier's head but likely never have achieved in the real world until now. If your guitar doesn't play and sound like a dream, rest assured that it can. Just bring it to Todd!

Mary Cushman: My '73 Gibson looked cool, but needed precise, experienced TLC to get it to sing like it should. Todd is an expert artist and technician. He takes as much pride in my guitar as I do. I now play with an ease I didn't feel was possible. And such a beautiful sound.

Tom Humphreys: Great work. Easy to work with. Clear communication and great results. Refret, new bone nut and saddle and set up.

Brian Davis: fret level, crown, and setup. Guitars sound way better and play way easier with excellent intonation. No sign of damage from being worked on. Fair prices. He was booked out 5 weeks, a good sign, so book early! Thanks, Todd!!

James Beckman: , and it now plays better than any American-made Tele I've played! Thanks to Todd, this guitar experienced a huge improvement in playability even though it was previously professionally set up by a different luthier. How has the playability improved, you ask?-Consistent string spacing

Zane: Thank you, Todd. My Guild D-25 plays and sounds better than ever!

Aimee Dan: Todd did a phenomenal job setting up both my acoustic and electric guitar. I knew from all the reviews that he'd do a great job, but couldn't have imagined just HOW much better both guitars sound now. Super worth it and I will be bringing any future guitars I get to be set up by him as well!

Chris Berg: My Guitar is perfect. I liked it when I brought it to him. I love it now! The price was way less than I expected. If you have a guitar you are not happy with. Take it to Todd. Before, you get rid of it. I appreciate the no nonsense approach. Really, easy to do business with. Thanks again!

Mel Bravin: here for maintenance and repair. I've been very happy with their work for the last several years!

Levinwood: Great! I've had my flute tuned up there a couple times over the years. Great service. Reasonably priced. Nice people.

Kathy Meredith: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessI contacted Marie Rice from out of the US. I shipped my flute to her for a total overhaul. Marie was a consummate professional. She answers communications and respond quickly. Her work on my instrument was exceptional. She made a 40 year old flute look and sound brand new. I highly respect and recommend her service. In Harmony!

Jonas Rivera (Kirbycatcher): Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessGreat repair on a pretty out of shape alto saxophone. It was a little expensive but it was indeed a lot of work. Thank you for the repair Dustin.

Emily Cheever: Marie is absolutely the best. Great service, lovely humans, excellent work done. Highly recommend.

Scott B: Great shop loaded with caring professionals! Marie is awesome and her knowledge and passion for her craft was immediately evident! I brought her a near 100 yr old sliver plated brass clarinet that was my dad's as a child and after their care, it looks and plays absolutely beautiful. I retired the case it was stored in and it now sits in my music room on a proper stand and is the shining star of the room.
