Mo Nasr: I have started training with Wolfgang for 3 weeks now.Wolfgang has been a great coach. he is very attentive during workouts and have helped me with helpful feedback to slowly fix the muscle imbalance and to be able muscle isolation during workouts. He came up with a custom plan for my goals and has provided interesting and fun cardio plans than just using the treadmill.

Bo: I had Keanu as my personal trainer. He is very kind and patience. I would highly recommend this gym and have him as a personal trainer. I will tag my friends about this.

Carol Wiederrecht: I am a 66-year old client of the Belltown branch of Transform 180. It’s an outstanding place to get strong.The equipment is great, and a good variety so you’ll never get bored. But the best part of the gym is the trainers. My trainer Rachel challenges me, encourages me, and keeps me motivated to do more. The few times I had a substitute, the fill-ins were great too.I never thought I would find myself in a weight lifting gym. But the people at Transform 180 made me feel like one of the team.

The facilities are superb, a large variety of equipment for targeted exercises. However, in all the dozens of glowing reviews that Nev has accumulated here, I see only a few mentions of the nutrition aspect of her training, so I figure I'll provide some more details here.Nev's nutrition philosophy, as I understand it, has a few key points:1. Management of blood sugar. You don't want your blood sugar spiking and crashing throughout the day. High glycemic index foods are discouraged.2. Disciplined timing of meals. Meals are deliberately spaced apart; snacking is strictly limited; no eating after 6pm.3. Balanced macros. Every meal will have a protein, a carb, and a salad. Portion sizes are adjusted based on your goals and the results you're seeing.4. Clean foods. Nev is highly skeptical of processed foods, food additives, and so forth. She can also be picky about methods of preparation

Vinh Le: I've been working with Nev on and off for over a decade. I still do reach out to train with her whenever I need a bit of motivation. She taught me lot about how exercise and diet go together, and use that knowledge to reach my fitness goals.I've never been a a fan of exercise/fitness, but Nev's positive approach to training really makes it fun and motivating to where i actually look forward to my workouts. Alex Maloney: Great coaches and workouts! You never know what the workout is for the day so it kept me from backing out and skipping any days. Ro is only coach I worked with, but he’s fantastic at ensuring proper technique, keeping you motivated throughout the entire workout and making your legs jello. I had 2 shoulder surgeries so modifications and progression of my strength was my main concern when starting at this gym. It only took a MONTH for us working at it for me to get 25lbs over my head for the first time in 2 years. If you put in the work, you will see results!

Despite being in a group class the coaches monitor your form and correct you in case you go wrong. I've been making progress with my fitness goals feel more healthier after I've joined them.SSP is not just a gym, its a community. Edward: It would be remiss to not compliment this gym. I was able to experience this gym thru the day pass and it immediately got me sold to the gym’s amenities. As you can see from my photos, it is a jack of all trades kind of gym. It would try to satisfy all your curiosity depending on the type of workout you feel like doing.Not only that; my experience with staff was amazing. Liz gave me a tour of the place and even accommodated my needs in regard to making sure I was aware I can come in throughout the whole day even when I leave and decide come back.It has my needs in terms of strength training. They have 45s, 35s, 25s 15s, 10s, all the way to 1.25lbs.I was able to fine tune my workout for the day.I have high praises for this gym. If I lived in Seattle and work downtown, I would be a member in this gym in a heartbeat.Notice that it isn’t busy as well? This was on a Saturday.

Dana Cretu: UPDATE: I've seen the company take great strides in the light of recent events and commend their forward thinking to keep everyone safe and healthy. They were amongst the first of many companies to offer creative solutions to protecting the continued health and safety of their clients and staff, offering live remote classes at home, keeping us informed via email, and detailing what steps they were taking to deep clean and sterilize the facility. They've shown that they are proactive rather than reactive, and I wanted to give my thanks.Previous-For location and convenience, zum currently works for us. The people here are friendly, staff and gym goers alike, but there have been too many upkeep issues lately that have really gotten to my partner and I. Namely, the cleanliness of the facility in whole, the poor quality of the towels, the state of the products in the locker room, and other minor things. They have replaced a few machines and added a cold towel mini fridge, but these don't make up for what needs to be changed and upkept - especially the mats and towels. It's also uncommonly warm in this gym, winter and summer alike.

Dylan Rush: Great gym for the variety of equipment and free classes. They have monkey bars, rowing machines, climbing and warrior ropes in addition to all the equipment one would normally expect. Not too difficult to get a squat rack or bench press even at peak hours. My one complaint is that I never attended the classes, and the classes were right next to the cardio equipment and pretty loud and would always happen right around 5/6 pm. But sometimes trainers would play good music so whatever. Locker rooms were pretty clean. Decent sauna. Overall good value.

Markus Eng: A great gym for those who value the diversity of fitness and training methods. Yoga, martial arts, boxing and Pilates are some of the many practices here.

Julia Hlavacik: I hate the gym, but I love this gym. The owners care about their gym-goers and will learn your name before your free week is over. They learn what works for you and what doesn’t and help you modify. This isn’t a gym with a lot of frills, but they do have some frills that count like a clean locker room and free-to-use mats in the yoga studio. I didn’t like that I had to commit to a certain amount of time when I signed up because my job comes with some chance of relocation, but they have a reasonable cancellation policy if you move more than 50 miles away. It didn’t end up mattering because of my job and I have not wanted to cancel for any other reason either. I’ll be coming back as long as I live in Seattle. Special thanks to Joe and Derek for all of their work with me!

Ray McKean: In January I did a Wellness Challenge with Jef and Shogun Fitness, and in 8weeks I dropped quite a bit of weight! The staff is super friendly, engaging, and they push you to be your best. Jenn Mckean: My name is Jennifer, most people call me Jenn. I’ve known Jef at Shogun Fitness for a "PHAT" minute. I joined him for the wellness challenge they were starting in January. I am pretty conscientious of what I put in my body, however I am not so good at putting good effort into the planning. With Jef and Shogun fitness they helped guide me in the right direction! Jef added me to a Face Book page for his clients, geared towards the challenge. Everyone celebrated and embraced each other where they were at personally in their journey. We were able to share recipes, personal follies...and with those came such positive reinforcement and encouragement to keep me trucking along to a positive goal!

James Barger: Jef is an AMAZING fitness expert. I loved working with him on the online program. With his help I was able to cut my mile time down to the fastest time I've ever run, a 5:31 mile. I also lost about 10 pounds working with him.Most of all, he helped me get a window into my daily macronutrients and exercise. He helped me figure out more about my own health in 6 months than I did with all my coaches, teachers, and parents as a competitive high school athlete.

Ryan Short: I can not recommend Shogun Fitness enough. Head Coach Jef is a dream to work with. I had almost no fitness experience before starting my training at Shogun. Jef started me off with the basics, specifically with a couple sessions to introduce core concepts, but then he also made sure to flow those ideas through every class to ensure I built a solid foundation. The class settings are really positive, none of that awful hyper-aggro stuff you see where folks are yelling. Shogun is all about high fives and positivity and optimism. The gym itself is fantastic too. Very close and welcoming. The price for the in-person mini-class setting was worth every penny, including the super helpful diet, nutrition, and counseling support — in fact, that’s what made the experience so perfect to be honest. I strongly recommend making an invest in your own wellness through Shogun Fitness. You’ll certainly see results as well as have a very fun time.

Adam Droker: I started my journey with Jef in May of 2019 setting a 2 year goal to lose 48 pounds. I am 8 months in and am down 24 already. It all starts with accountability. He helps by setting up a plan for nutrition and exercise. He get's you to "Clip in" and get set for the ride with either in person or remote coaching. I did a hybrid doing an in person session to get launched and the rest remote. I am proud of my accomplishment losing 24 pounds already, but it would not have happened if I hadn't made the investment in hiring Jef Nelson!

Steph: . I was optimistically hoping to get on track and lose a few pounds. Lucky for me, it worked! Within the first week, I learned many of the fundamental movements we still use in our gym sessions months later. Within the first month, I found myself feeling stronger and healthier. Within the first 90 days, I had lost 20lbs, many inches from all over, and my blood pressure corrected by a LOT, doing little more than showing up to our group training sessions and following some easy nutrition guidelines.Jef has a really positive and motivating attitude, takes a scientific approach to fitness that resonates with me, keeps me accountable, helps me correct my wobbly lunges, makes great t-shirts, AND has an endless supply of puns! As a bonus, all the other folks I have met in the group training classes have been awesome and it’s always a good time in the gym. Kevin Hampton: and are tough. He is great with displaying great form, correcting form, and giving alternatives for injuries. I occasionally have issues with my shoulder and he explained to me how to alter the exercise and change my form to make the movement better and not hurt my shoulder. The ONLY reason I don’t do the group fitness plan is due to my work being far away; however, I make the time every few weeks because I love them.If you need ANY fitness help then Jef is your man. Being part of his online coaching and fitness classes has been amazing and I definitely recommend the online coaching or his in person group classes. He’s a great guy that’s friendly, excited, motivational, and will take what he knows and will help you get to your goals. I look forward to continue working with him. :

Erin McDonald: I got foot surgery in 2016 and 2017 and had a slow scary road to getting back in shape. Jef taught me real quick it isn't about the slow approach it's about doing things CORRECTLY and working the right muscles, right weights and the whole body. I felt super knowledgeable and strong while working out with Jef. I always had a great group to work out with and the gym itself has a great vibe. If you want someone spunky, knows nutrition, good training skills, in love with superheroes, and always shares great puns..pick Jef!

Ian Hong: .It is well-equipped, always clean, and the staff and regulars are friendly. This is not an expansive gym, but in addition to the cardio equipment, it has racks, a smith machine, leg press, cable and plate-loaded machines, barbells and dumbbells, and benches. Even for those who are quite serious about their workouts, the equipment should be more than enough to get a great session in. Signup and cancellation were both very painless. Overall, I'd highly recommend this gym.

Robert Hopt: I have been working out here since fall 2019. The staff is very friendly and they take care to demonstrate good form through the variety of motions and exercises. Every trainer is worthwhile. They will gladly customize their programming and planning to meet your level of experience, your comfort, and/or any aches and pains or other concerns you may have. The space is large, unlike some other nearby gyms that have group classes where the members are way too close to be safe. My experience is mostly the group classes, but based on classes I have taken where I happened to be the only one on the schedule, I presume that the one-on-one personal training is also high quality.

Ashwin Krishnamoorthy: Belltown strength and conditioning classes are a total game changer for me. Having done only cardio exercises all my life, I was eased into the world of strength and conditioning by focusing on fundamentals of barbell and kettlebell on recurring weekly schedules. The trainers- Tony, Adrienne, Melissa and Ollie have been very helpful in my strengthening journey. Their attention to movements and coaching during the sessions have enabled me to exercise correctly by watching over my form. I look forward to the unique monthly challenges they post at the start of the month!

David De Maria: I have been going to Pro Club for several months now. I typically go in the morning around 9am. The gym is quiet… Not a lot of people. But, enough to make you feel not alone. I definitely get my choice of what machines I want without having to wait. The gym is super clean. The staff is always friendly. The locker rooms are great too. Very clean and organized. There is a wet and dry sauna along with a jacuzzi. showers too. Parking is easy and they validate. So far so good…. I recommend!

Also wish the bench press setup would be more updated. Overall I had a great experience and really enjoyed lifting here!

Yi Chiang: Great location and amenities! I had a great time as a member of this gym; often taking advantage of the salt water pool and indoor basketball court.The equipment here has definitely seen better days and I eventually transitioned to another gym since that was more important in my book.The crowd here definitely caters more towards the older crowd, which was not ideal for me. However, If you’re looking for a place with many amenities and a great staff, look no further… I couldn’t recommend this place and its staff anymore if lifting isn’t your top priority.

Bradley Patton: For the past few months, I've been a member of this gym, and I can't rave about it enough! With its wide variety of amenities, this gym really distinguishes out from the competition, which is why I joined with no hesitation. There are a few interesting things about this place, including the fact that it's never crowded and the personnel, especially Lucky. My recommendation of this gym to friends has been aided by their encouragement.

Michael Schimke: My renewed enthusiasm in working out can be attributed to my new employment. A SAC membership is a health benefit provided by my employer. We visited while on vacation in Seattle and we will definitely come again on our next trip!Accessibility: Easily accessible, their scheduling app makes picking a workout, time, and payment very easy. It took me less than 5 minutes, very impressed for a non-corporate gym. They had so many class options and times available I had no excuse not to workout. The facility is located on a corner and you can’t miss it, well lit and with lots of lockers and storage areas plus showers if you need them.Workout: Our regular gym is a strength and CrossFit gym and we fit right in. The Strength and Muscle classes we attended met the same needs we work regularly. Kyle is an awesome coach and spent the whole hour moving between all the attendees and assisting with form and modifications to meet each persons needs. The scalability of each exercise meant my wife and I each got a strenuous and worth while workout. They used a huge variety of strength options including kettlebells, TRX, dumbbells, barbells, and calisthenics+plyometrics. Awesome workout.Staff: As stated above, expertly friendly and helpful. From our first time popping in to inquire about drop in availability, to our last class they were a real high light of the experience. Extraordinarily friendly and approachable. They helped us pick out the best options for our schedule and get set up quickly with no hassle.Facility: Modern equipment that is well maintained. Clean, and well laid out. They had equipment I hadn’t seen at larger gyms including weight scaling options that you really have to look for if you want them, such as clip on weights for intermediate settings.

Sarah Prentice: This is the best gym I’ve ever been a member of. There’s a variety of exercises built into each group training class, so you’ll never be bored or without a challenge. The trainers provide a perfect balance of encouraging you to do what feels right for your body, but also pushing yourself to discover what you’re capable of. greg bear: , kinetic exercise / body-weight exercise, banded stuff like you'd do in PT, etc. There's new movements added all the time, keeping it very fresh. It's light on traditional cardio - which is great - strength training is much harder to do on your own I think w/o a good coach watching.There are personal trainers available also, but I've really enjoyed the small group training. Classes are kept small, never more than 10 people, so are getting technique adjustments and personal attention, help with weight selections, mods if needed. I'm always sore, but recoveries are quick - they don't let me overdo it - and also don't let me underdo it

Kacie Stovall: I have been attending the 8x/month small group training classes since 2021. The work outs are so thoughtfully curated and the small class sizes ensure the trainer is able to assist each individual, no matter their skill level. I usually attend Kyle's classes and the high level of expertise is obvious. He knows exactly why one exercise is paired with another and the benefit of each small variation in movement. Even the warm ups and cool downs change daily to match the movements performed. More than that, they care about your safety and your progress. Both Matt and Kyle, regardless of who is leading the class, will often assist me with correcting my form or choosing an appropriate weight that challenges me. I would recommend this gym for absolutely anyone!

His constant attention to proper form is very refreshing! After I tore my ACL last year, he helped me rehabilitate my knee to 100% functionality without the need for any surgery!!Paul also continues to stay up to date on all the current information by attending continuing education courses and seminars regularly.Paul has carefully selected a exceptional team to work with him at Eastlake Performance! It's a wonderful gym, and I highly recommend them!

Brooke Brandeberry: Eastlake Performance is a great new personal training gym in Seattle! They have medballs, jam balls, rogue barbells/racks/plates, and the list goes on. When I started training with them I quickly learned their focus is biomechanics and making sure I wasn't out of alignment during basic exercises.It was tough at first because it didn't feel like I was actually working out, but they kept assuring me that building a foundation was more important and would pay off. After a few weeks they started putting me through specified workouts and things started to ramp up much quicker.Overall, I really enjoy working out at EP. The facility is clean, the trainers are not meat heads, and my cardio and strength has been getting so much better!

Haily Holt: , classes 2x per week, and occasionally going in on active rest days for light cardio. As long as you're using all of the benefits, the cost is *well* worth it.Nothing but great things to say about Rival. The gym has a great vibe, the staff is great, and I feel like I'm actually making strides on my fitness goals now.

The staff is wonderful, trainers are knowledgeable and authentic, the facility is always clean, and it’s rarely “too” busy like most gyms can be.Overall, this is the most welcoming gym I have ever been to. The energy in this place is always great. I tried all the other gyms in the area before coming to Rival and they really do not compare. It was a a no brainer the moment I walked in.

Kareem Ali: I started at Rival fitness with the strength squad which helped me learn lifting with good technique, introduced me to friendly people, and helped me go through some rough times since that was right after I moved to Seattle when things were under COVID restrictions, so the place means a lot to me personally. That was over 3 years ago, since then I have been a regular, 4-7 times a week, mostly very early mornings, the owner, the staff, trainers and trainees are very friendly, there is a lot of free weights as well as machines and I have done some powerlifting training, bodybuilding training, cardio, fitness classes, cycling classes, rowing class and a few other things so I think it’s a VERY well-rounded gym where you can find equipment and classes for most training modalities. The one thing I do not like would be when they do group classes on the gym main floor that takes roughly half the space, making it hard for anybody to train during those times.It’s definitely my favorite boutique gym in Seattle, 100% would recommend.
