Olga Plushko: The employees at this store literally trained my dogs to drag me here anytime we are in the vicinity bc they delight them so much with the treats and love they get from the employees every time we set foot in the store. The staff are such kind, welcoming people and always ready to help. Also big shoutout to Ardent and Kelsey - I walked in there one night, completely unaware of the time, and decided that was the night time to make dog tags for the kids. Unbeknownst to my oblivious self, it was mere minutes before closing time, but both Kelsey and Ardent were completely kind and patient to me and the dogs and the only reason I realized it was closing time is bc someone else walked in and asked if they were still open - they said “technically no” and they generously let them shop anyway. What kind, patient, supportive folks.I am so grateful to be walking distance from this location.

I never encountered more knowledgeable staff! Cass was a huge help in choosing the right food, dishes, toys, and beds for our kittens and we’ve chosen the Ballard location as “our store”!

The whole premises is pet friendly, though you may have to hold Rover back from eating all the tasty treats they have out in baskets. Nearly every time I check out, they offer a free sample for my kitty at home. And they continue to be the best place to pick up fresh peacock feathers for my cat to destroy.

One associate in particular was amazing my entire time in the store. A walked up to my grumpy dog with a snack and was helpful in all my needs. They did recommend shrimp for my fat dog, but I went with sweet potato and peas which he hated of course. A made sure I was always assisted and extremely kind and I had a great experience. They are a great employee.

The staff are super friendly and they have a great selection of treats and toys.

The unnamed hero let me know me the registers and store was closed. I informed them my dog didn't have food for the day. Without hesitation, she asked what kind of food my dog could eat, and proceeded to grab a bunch of samples.I bartend and deal with the public everyday. She could have just shrugged her shoulders and said good luck bud. Instead my dog got a meal tonight. Life happens and I didn't prepare myself or my dog accordingly. It was a small gesture that made a huge impact for my night. My dog would have been fine, but instead he got his meal tonight.Only The Best at All The Best. I hope this review reaches her, hence why I gave the date. Once again 10/25 702pm.

Jessie: I *just* left this store after visiting for the first time and I’m so pleased I can’t help but write a review as soon as I came home. I was greeted by such sweet staff, who actively listened as I blabbed about my cat situation. I signed up for the rewards program since I had moved to the area recently and even though my cats birthday just passed recently, the sweet person up front still gave me a goodie bag for my cat which I really appreciated because she’s 16 and may not have another birthday. My old lady was immediately so intrigued with the toys and she hasn’t been interested in her toys in awhile, she has already favorited the furry ball from her goody bag. Such a treat to see my senior citizen playing like a kitten again. The lovely staff at this location have easily made me want to be a regular customer and they all deserve a raise

And I can walk in there and they remember my last visit and ask how my dog Tazzie is doing and was bummed she wasn't brought in. And even asked how she was doing with my choices I made with their help, how she was liking my selection. And another thing if she doesn't like something I always have hassel free returns or exchanges. Chelsea Solomita: Very kind and helpful! I came in today feeling very stressed after accidentally quicking my cat’s nail. They had exactly what I needed and told me what to do to help my kitty. They also sent me home with little treats and a toy. Above and beyond sweet!I’m happy to report my cat George is doing great. I think the whole thing hurt me more than it hurt him. I ended up paying less than I did at other stores! The person I talked to on the phone, I think her name was Rebecca, was so helpful. She ordered exactly what I wanted.

I wouldn't have sent you home with an animal either.You didn't get a kitten? You're unfit to have an animal? You want a companion for your over-bred designer breed dog and didn't get one? Gasp, they didn't let you adopt a dog even though you think your sole qualification for pet ownership is the fact that you have a large yard? You found the questions made you feel like a criminal? Cry me a river and grow up. This is an animal rescue not a Best Buy: the only allegiance these people should have is to the animals. Customer service is not required nor would I expect it.I visited Emerald City a while back and the facility is spotless. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, kind and really care about the animals that are in their charge. They feed them top-of-the-line food. Their veterinary care is impressive. You can literally FEEL the love radiating out of this place.I met the most amazing little love sponge of a dog and I am taking time to consider whether I could give her the best forever home. I had a great experience there and was genuinely happy to meet everyone. But even if it hadn't been a good experience, it wouldn't have mattered: adoption is about THE ANIMAL and not me.When you're adopting an animal, please remember that this is a living, breathing creature. He or she has a heartbeat. They feel pain. They have feelings. They've been through hell and are probably confused and scared about why they're there. They need love. They need the best care you can give. They need to be your priority. Anything less than that and you don't deserve them.
Funkelberry McJiggletits (Jackson): I think it's important to rescue dogs, and I am really glad that my girlfriend and I were chosen by ECPR to be able to rescue one of their dogs. They have worked with us in so many ways to help us make sure we can keep Max. I can't speak highly enough of how we were treated. 10/10

Additionally, the staff at Emerald city pet rescue made it really easy and they were very supportive when it came to adopting my new family member family member. I've been struggling to find a solution to my dogs food issues and when I explained that I needed help Cliff took the time to talk me through all the different options with explanations about how the different types of dog food are digested and the many offerings they carry. Perhaps the most valuable to me though was the plan/experiment he suggested I begin to get to the root issue. Tackling the what next factor felt huge and gave me the encouragement I needed to get to the bottom of the problem and onto a new track. Daniel: Fantastic store, absolute 5 STAR staff. Went in for birthday cookies and a new harness for our Boston terrier, purposely went in about 1hr 30 mins from closing time to avoid other dogs as our guy doesn’t like being around other dogs. Mark and Atticus went out of their way to fit our dog with the right harness. Mark made all adjustments, and verified if the harness was a good fit or not. Atticus let other client’s know that we had a dog that wasn’t friendly with other dogs and that we were in a fitting for a harness in the corner. The amount of care they showed was outstanding. Our dog Guinness remained very calm with both team members, and even relaxed as another dog entered the store. He gave kisses to the staff and enjoyed his birthday cookie and new harness! Thank you for the amazing experience.

Gina Miller: Sage was the knowledgeable pet angel I needed today. She is an encyclopedia of quality pet food options and her kindness was unbelievable. I’ll be back again and again because of Sage.
Raleigh: I love this store. The employees are incredibly helpful and nice. I was looking for CBD treats and a special cleaner and they helped me find both and hooked up the doggo with some treats to try! My dog is quite anxious and they were gentle with him and made him feel comfortable.

And rice because of their knowledge experience and educating me on the difference between store-bought dog food that is literally roadkill and their food that is processed more humanely and not heavily processed with preservatives and awful ingredients. My dogs are now able to eat any protein they like because of their education. I send people here all the time for the no pull collars and anytime I hear someone say they’re dogs or cats are picky or sensitive or have behavior issues I tell them just to stop in to all the best pets these employees are so compassionate and knowledgeable and the products here are life changing for both me and our fur family!

elizabeth martin: Sage was so incredibly helpful. I called to ask if someone could come out to the car with a dog cone so our dog wouldn't lick at injured area. Even though I gave just a few minutes notice, she came right out with the soft cone I requested and offered tips on fitting it on our dog. She then came out with a goodie bag of treats for our dog and zipped in and out of the store to process payment. I appreciated this so much as it helped our dog in her healing process. Sage was highly professional, thoughtful and went above and beyond to problem solve and help. Thank you!

Pamela Eisen: From the moment my husband and I walked into the store, I felt at ease. I had talked on the phone with Kaiden at the Bellevue store prior to coming in and appreciated the time spent with me discussing the needs of Oreo, our sweet rescue dog. Oreo needed a safe spray to help with his hot spots, a winter jacket, and a couple of new toys. Not only did Kaiden help us find a spray that looks promising, but found the perfect jacket for Oreo after having taken the time to measure him and put it on him. As for the toys, Oreo was allowed to pick for himself a cute green Christmas dinosaur and a darling white lambie. He even got a couple of free treats that took into account his possible allergies. Last but not least, Kaiden asked if we had any further questions and encouraged us to call any time if we needed more assistance. I can't thank Kaiden and All the Best enough for their excellent service!
