The front desk staff were really sweet too, I was offered water and glucose tablets afterwards. I definitely recommend this place if you are nervous about piercings because the whole experience was great and I love my new piercing so much!

They were very patient and respectful throughout the entire process, answering all my questions and helping me with advice and anything I needed. Robert especially was really great, I barely felt a prick and he pierced both ears really evenly. Great display of jewelry too. Expensive but definitely worth the price especially if this is your first time.

Ended up coming in same day and was able to wait for about ~30 minutes for a walk in appointment for nose ring jewelry purchase and swap. Place was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this place!

Remi Rose: Got both nostrils pierced by Franceska on Thursday and she was very honest about not being comfortable with piercing my septum due to the fact I’ve had a rhinoplasty within the last 8 months so I was very grateful she didn’t just wing it / put me at risk. I came back next day to consult with Robert who has more experience with piercings and he was able to pierce me with no issues at all. I’m very satisfied with the employees, the professionalism, and the jewelry. I love this place.
Gypsy Sol: The best fine jewelry in the U-District, Seattle! The girls up front and so helpful and the place is very clean and beautiful. I’ve been there twice and both times, the artist are helpful and honest regarding the best thing for my piercing and healing. I have called too, just for info and the staff was informative and showed so much patience with me when I was struggling with a labret piercing. All is good and I’m healing beautifully! Josh also kept totally cool when I got super nervous right before the pierce LOL but it was fast and easy, and the piercing looks literally perfect. I highly recommend this shop for piercings!
Scott Sworden: Slave to the Needle is a clean and professional establishment. Daniel #bloodminer is my tattoo artist. I highly recommend Daniel and this shop. His honest and clear approach to his art refreshing. He has taken my ideas and guided me through the entire sleeve process. He is a master of his craft and myself and my family couldn't imagine being tattooed by anyone else.

Cam Mundy: I got snake bites and resized them a month later. Colin O was amazing and had great energy when I was anxious about the piercing. All the staff was really lovely and even recognized me when I came back which was a pleasant surprise.

Bastian Cohen: Very sterile environment! Be warned, unless you visit their website you wouldn’t know, they are all appointment only. You can’t even get in the door without an appointment. Do not try to walk right in. You won’t get far.Their jewelry is really pretty and reasonably priced. Their piercers and staff are all super friendly. Lynn was fantastic and so nice. 10/10 recommend

I’ve been pierced at places that didn’t have ANY steel/titanium jewelry without gemstones or decorations.I generally don’t like traveling into the city; however, I will never have a single problem making the drive to Seattle to get to visit this shop again. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience, including how staff interacted with each other and other clients. All in all 10/10. I’ll be telling everyone I know. Jenne Pierce: Had my daughter's ears pierced by Chuck two months ago. Chuck and her team are as wonderful as everyone here says, and I'm very glad I made the choice to have the piercing done here vs. the gun at a mall. They were every bit ready to work with a kid as an adult, were patient, kind and professional. The piercings have been perfect - zero inflammation or infection. Highly recommend.

I found this place on the way to where we were going and ran in. I wanted a hoop, so I figured this was the time. Garret was very accommodating, friendly, and nice. The vibe was great. Like this amazing man who has 35 years experience. He's friendly too, imagine that.

Christina Hirschman: I was referred to Dzul Ink by a friend from work. After looking at the artwork on their website I knew that I wanted Alex to do my dark romance book tattoo. I didn’t have a picture of what I wanted I only new what elements I wanted in the tattoo and the placement. When I had my first art workup sit down, I was blown away by what they came up with. They were great at offering changes to the design so it would accentuate the part of my body it was going on. They were never pushy or uncooperative when I suggested changes or tweaks to the design. During the tattoo process the staff went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at ease the entire time. Alex was great he would always ask how I was doing and if I needed a break. When the final session was done, I was speechless with the result. I love every bit of it!! Alex truly captured the dark theme that I wanted and really made the elements come alive. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star is that I ended up having to wait nearly an hour past my appointment time as the artist was running very late, and wish I could have gotten that time back, but otherwise, this is a phenomenal studio and a talented team.When the tattoo gods tell me what my next tattoo should be, I'll head on back to Dzul!

I got my navel pierced and it’s one of my favorite piercings by far. They even threw in a free complementary can of cleaning solution afterwords which was also a plus. Highly recommend!

amber skye: stay calm. I’ve been here to be pierced, for retainers, troubleshooting a piercing, and help putting jewelry back in after having to take it out for surgery. Abra is wonderful and has helped me the last couple of times I’ve been in. So thankful this studio is so close to my house. The only downside is parking isn’t ideal. There is parking nearby, but sometimes I have to circle the block to find a spot. I usually just leave a few minutes early to find a spot, definitely not worth knocking a star off for!They also have quite the assortment of jewelry to chose from! Beautiful and great quality.

Runaway Cosmo: The first time I saw Itzel aka Peachy was for an adorable flash piece she was offering, she is very friendly and sweet and the tattoo turned out so cute! Later I went back with my husband to get wedding ring tattoos which turned out so wonderful, she is very good at giving you options and really customizing it to its ultimate form. Morgan Whitten: I came here about a year ago and got my ears pierced and was nervous as hell. I had done my research and found a sterilized needle done by a pro is the best way to do it. The person here explained it step by step, showed me everything, it was super clean and was almost completely painless. I couldn't have had a better experience. I would highly recommend to others!!!!The other thing I will mention, is I wasn't sure if I had a metal allergy, so I paid for slightly better studs and really liked the opal ones I got. Great selections too! They also told me how to care for my ears if I had any problems. Overall was really easy and they took the worry right out of it!

Very thorough and makes sure the piercing is just how the customer wants it. They also used numbing spray to help with discomfort during piercing. It was a good experience for this anxious mama. When I went to hang up, she asked if there were any other questions she could answer for me. When I went in, Grace was the one who was there to do my piercing. She was so very sweet and kind. Grace provided absolutely wonderful service! The owner of this shop is very fortunate to have such a warm, friendly person working for them. The shop was very clean, comfortable, and pleasant. My daughter is a young adult now but if I had known of a shop like this when she was young and was having her ears pierced, I would have looked no further than going here. Anupama Garimella: We had a very good experience getting our 4-year old's ears pierced. She has some sensory difficulties, and initially it looked like we would not be able to proceed as our daughter was very squirmy, anxious, and unable to stay still. Grace calmly explained that there is a good chance we may not be able to move forward on that day, and that to perform the service we would need her to be perfectly still. We asked that we keep trying for the rest of the duration of our appointment to which she kindly agreed. We worked together to find a posture that worked best and Grace was very very fast and efficient. She found her window and went right in with full confidence. Our daughter was ok almost immediately after. Sierra was also very kind and we appreciated her warmth and compassion.

I was really nervous about piercing my 9 month old ears and they were able to answer all the questions I had before the appointment, I was given pre-appointment directions which helped make things go smooth. The staff was really nice and had patience with my baby. The piercing was quick, yes my baby cried but it lasted a minute and she was all smiles afterwards. We were given instructions on how to care for the piercings, which was handed to us, verbally explained and also emailed to us. For someone like me, that is very forgetful, it was useful to have all these forms of communication. I definitely recommend them!

Staff and especially the piercers are so helpful, welcoming and really put you at ease. The cleanliness standards and practices make me know it’s safe. We have tried every type of metal that has been found on our earth. All with pain, swelling and tears. I was going to give up. My neighbor recommended Deep Roots for permanent earnings. They had a similar experience.I called and asked for the best person to pierce a kid. They recommended Sarah.When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and the two people at the front were stoked that my daughter was getting her ears pierced the right way. They helped us pick out the earrings and were lovely with her. Then - Sarah came in. Her energy entered the room first. She is just bright and sweet and kind. My daughter was quickly at ease and comfortable with her. We were all laughing.Sarah took a look at the existing piercings and decided she needed to fix one and repierce the other. She made sure my daughter was happy, relaxed and knew what to expect.They have been the answer to all of my daughter’s ear issues. We are finally going back to get the smaller earrings installed. The delay is my fault. Scheduling online is super easy if you know what you are going for. If you don’t, call them and they will help you out. Big props. Big thanks. You made dad look like a hero. 😊🙌

Chelsea: were so helpful. The jewelry that I had my heart set on was sold out at their location. Kyle coordinated with the University location, which had it in stock, so that I could get my piercing there. I still ended up getting a second lobe piercing from John here at the Bellevue location. John was super informative, sanitary, gentle, and kind. He also took the time to map out other possible ear piercings and helped me figure out what would look good and work with my anatomy. I really appreciated the extra time he spent doing that. All of the staff were so helpful answering questions, even regarding piercings that I didn't have planned for that day. I'll definitely be back for future piercings because the staff are awesome and parking is really convenient. 😊

Ann Lorraine Stephenson: My 9 year old daughter got her ears pierced by John and the experience was perfect from start to finish. She’d been mentally preparing for this for a while and the staff made her comfortable enough to ask questions and advocate for what she wanted. John talked through what he was doing and made sure to state many times that it was important that she give her approval for where the earring would go because it is her body and that we could stop at any time. This was one of the best early lessons in body autonomy and respect that my young girl could have gotten. I’m a pediatric nurse and felt like he did better than most staff that I work with. My daughter is so happy with her decision. Thank you, John, for an experience she will never forget.
