PAWS Cat City (Progressive Animal Welfare Society): what do users think?

3:00 AM: I love it! The process of adopting and finding the right cat was perfect. It's a late post, but we got our kitty Ella from here in July 2022. It was the best decision I made.

Marcus Monaghan: Really nice people at Cat City. I adopted a kitten from them 4 months ago, and their adoption fee is honestly like getting the kitten for free once you factor in the included spay/neuter. I got the pick of the litter who is smart and affectionate, and I couldn’t be happier with him.

lexi rutledge: . A staff member interviewed me to get an idea of what type of cat I was looking

John R. Hall: was head and shoulders above: and I left with a great, well-adjusted, happy seven-month-old kitten.

Lori Predmore: Adopted a kitten and he is wonderful

Saowalak C.: The experience at the PAWS Cat City was wonderful. I'm looking for a place to adopt a cat in Seattle. So we came here. And we were right to come here because the staff gave us very good information so we can prepare before we adopt one. Thank you and we’ll look out to adopt a cat here when the new cats come in.

Mike Kanouff: The best place to adopt a cat! If you see a cat you like, don't wait they do not last long. The staff is very kind and helpful too.

Philip DeFigh: Really helpful and friendly volunteers here.

Brooke Hawkins: We had a really positive adoption experience here! The night before, we saw there were kittens available for adoption. We called in the morning, and they let us know we could check in before opening to get a spot in line to meet and adopt. We checked in around 10:30am, returned for a visit at 11:45am, and then had time to go in and visit the cats. We had adopted our new kitten by 1pm. The volunteers were helpful and informative, and never rushed us. They took time to answer all our questions, and gave us time to interact with the cats. It was busy, so I'd recommend going early, and bringing a book or something to do while you wait.

Flower Hegave: they suggest that the best day to visit them is Wednesday since they have lots of cats available

Hunter Weede: Our experience with PAWS has been great! While we did not end up adopting from PAWS, we visited twice to look at available cats. Unfortunately at both of our visits, all cats had been adopted for the day. However, we appreciated the conversation and the information received by the workers at our visits. You are also able to visit with the cats in rooms and pet them, which was not offered to us at another shelter where we had a negative experience. On our second visit, PAWS recommended us to visit other shelters nearby, where we ended up adopting our second cat from after falling in love with her.I highly recommend PAWS, especially after visiting another shelter in the area where I had a negative experience. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with them, and would recommend them to others.

Manike de Wet: Wonderful adopting experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially Terri! We are so happy with our new family member Kona who is settling in so well.

Bobbi Eagle: Bought a cat Skittles she is a love bug I love her

Jasmine Zhu: when they were 2 and 3 month old kittens from PAWS Cat City, now two years ago. As others mentioned, I had an amazing experience facilitated by kind and thoughtful employees and volunteers who truly cared about each cat's wellbeing. Their website with all the available cats is extremely helpful because you can have certain cats in mind before you go in person and they update it very fast in real time when cats are adopted out.In person, I filled out a form of cat preferences and got the chance to go into each room to play and learn about each available cat. I was also able to reserve my cats for a 24 hour hold period while I thought about adoption, which was very helpful for me as a first time pet owner. When I chose to adopt my two kitties, the staff provided a folder with everything I needed to get started and a discount to a vet to help me. I would highly recommend PAWS for anyone thinking about adopting!!

A M: We found new family here after lost our beautiful kitten. Staff members are very friendly and professional. The facility is clean and safety.

Seattle Animal Shelter: what do users think?

Jayme Lynn: I found a stray cat and went to SAS to find its owner. Microchip found! Every employee was so kind and patient. It was a great experience. Thank you!

Kim Mulligan: As a Seattle Realtor I work with many people who are new to our area and ask me where they can get a new family member. There is another animal shelter with "Seattle" in the name but the SAS in the one in the City of Seattle. Located between Magnolia and Queen Anne, it's located in the Interbay neighborhood. I have fostered a litter of feral kittens through this shelter and recently adopted a dog that was brought from Taiwan through a rescue group that was relinquished to SAS.The Seattle Animal Shelter consists of lots of good people and volunteers who really care about animals. Of course as a city department, they are underfunded and overworked and perform an often thankless job. There have lots of quality animals that need new homes. If you think you want a certain type of behavior or breed, please check here first. Most of these animals have just had bad luck and will make a wonderful home pet. Remember adopt don't shop. Afterall, most of us are mutts, what is your pedigree?

Shawn Dannar: Staff very helpful

larisa krutik: Thank you so much for neutering my dog Zeus. He is still recovering but doing way better!

miles gf: I got my cat from here and I love my cat so much! The animals behave very well the employees are the nicest people . 5 stars would recommend

Seattle Area Feline Rescue: what do users think?

Theodore “Hazel” Lamb: . They have all the information you'll need on the site. I went in and did the adoption interview, then they asked which cat I'd like to visit with first, and I already had a 6 year old boy in mind. We met and immediately fell in love. He has some dental issues so they gave me a voucher to take a significant amount of money out of the cost, and they give everyone an exam voucher that vet clinics will take, you just have to call around. The facility was very clean and well laid out and calm. It seems like a pleasant place for a cat to stay if they have to. My kitty relaxed pretty fast upon getting home, he didn't seem too traumatized by his stay at the shelter. :

Megan Anderson Saunders: Staff were friendly and knowledgeable adoption process was easy, we walked in to look and walked out with two kittens! It was so helpful that they sent us home with food and since it is a rescue, it is great that we are able to get the one month of health insurance and the free vet visit with the adoption

Catherine DeBlasio: I went to Seattle Area Feline Rescue just to see what cats they had available for adoption. I thought wanted a bonded pair of kittens but the only pair of cats that they had were a pair of 3 year old brothers. I wasn’t sure about them at first, but after talking with the adoption counselor the next thing I knew I found myself taking the brothers home with me. I thought “hmmm, I’m not too sure about this, but ok I’ll see what happens.” It has been a year since I adopted the brothers Mack and Frankie and I have absolutely no regrets. They are perfect gentlemen with excellent litter box habits. Even though they were scared at first they never bit or scratched. They bring me tremendous joy and I am so glad that I took a chance on them!

Jeff Perkins: We got this wonderful cat here. The thing that startled me was that they were so happy we took a BLACK cat. No one else wanted this cuty!

The Festival Experience: This is such an amazing organization!! Dylan is the guy who runs everything and he is a blessing. The old shoreline location had a donation area outside with food, treats, toys, litter boxes and even cat trees. All in great shape! I haven't been to the new location , so not sure if they are still doing that. But recently I had to call Dylan because I have five kittens that I am fostering and need assistance. He gave me information on their monthly discounted appointments, and took over 20 minutes on the phone with me to give me about a dozen other resources nearby. It was so nice to have somebody so helpful doing it for the love of helping animals. Can't say enough good things about him and what he has created!

Nicole Gray: My experience is always amazing the volunteers are amazing and nice and always willing to help get stuff down for me or to see if there's a different kind there just accompanying to helping animals and owners care for there fur companion, I'm always sharing the info of where there located and wonderful business.

Seattle Humane: what do users think?

Sapphire Le Rougetel: The adoption process was nice and easy. Everyone was super friendly, and were very excited for us to adopt our new kittens. They provided us with great resources - vets, discounts at pet stores etc. - I would highly recommend adopting from the Seattle Humane!!

John Renforth: When we adopted our new kitten, we were impressed by the entire Seattle Humane organization, the care of the animals, courtesy of the staff, and the overall approach to helping every little one prepare for a new life in a new home. We were so impressed that we adopted a second, a bit older, cat so we now have two brothers who are doing very well and getting along famously. If you are considering adopting a cat or dog, please checkout the Seattle Humane organization. You can have the confidence that every cat and dog is well prepared with all the medical care they may have required, as well as the personal attention to help assist in their transition to a new home.

Jimmy Wong: I brought my 9 month old puppy to get spayed they were very helpful and the cost was very affordable compared to if I was going to the veterinarian

Lily Doan: Great services

Stephanie Kirby: We got Bear from Seattle Humane 3 weeks ago. He is the 2 Ds, delightful and destructive as most puppy’s are. Bear is our second adoption from Seattle Humane, our first was Jack who we got 17 years ago and passed away 2 years ago. Jack was the best companion in all our adventures as I’m sure Bear will be. Pick 1 is Old Jack and pick 2 is Bear. Seattle Humane has the some of the best humans working with the animals and helping out with adoptions, don’t buy from a breeder when you can adopt a loving mutt!

Emily: I have always had great experiences at the Seattle humane society. I've adopted two adult cats here. The volunteers have always been very helpful. Parking is available. Bathrooms were nice. Facilities are clean.

Isabelle Chen: I'm super happy that I found this vet, the people there are super nice and treated my overly sensitive Shiba nicely.

Emerald City Kitty Harbor: what do users think?

fe fish: It was the cat's meow

Ricki Brown: That this is completely.

Guy Simpson, III: Far and beyond what I expected.I cannot say enough good things about this establishment or their staff. Kitty Harbor may seem tucked away by the West Seattle Bridge, but their work transcends the greater Seattle area. If you need assistance with finding your next family member, give their website a look over. Their process of finding the right parent for the pet is longer and more labored than others because they care about the animal and their happiness first over "getting them out."I'm sad their coffee shop closed as it was a nice location by the bike shop. And walk-ins are no longer welcome, but COVID made that the norm so no complaints here. This is a small team with a big heart. Again, I could not recommend another animal rescue/shelter/ally more than these folks. They are a cat only division of the Emerald City Pet Rescue team as a whole. So if you have questions about cats - this is the right place to be.

David Schanen (musicscene): Great place to find a cat. We found one here many years ago, and we just picked up a new kitten. The folks are friendly, the kitties are cute, better watch the website and get there early when they are available!

Andreas Gregory: Great place!

Maria Gregory: Cats seem very happy here. The place is clean and customer service is excellent.

Jordan Nelson: Me and my spouse adopted a beautiful Rat terrier by the name of June last November, the 6 month's were very rocky we found out she was dog aggressive very quickly after not showing any signs in the shelter, had bad stomach problems, and did not open up up easy wouldn't eat any food we gave her or drink water it was terrifying watch. Their staff was there every step of the way. the last 7 month's have been much better she is still dog aggressive which a shame multiple trainers have tried to help us. anyway thank you to the staff here we definingly got a little more than what we bargained for but we've all settled in no and she's doing much better in all other areas. We still wish find Junes brother but all replies for that request were ignored not a fault of theirs.

Joey Nichols: I adopted my Cat, Aries from Kitty Harbor back in 2009 ..At the time he was known as "Cheetoh".This picture was taken the day we adopted him.

Ray Baron: After the passing of my 18 year old Siamese Athena Tina they found a perfect Siamese for me to fill the hole in my home!! They are incredibly thorough and care for their animals!

Aliye Menzies: I am doing the animal foster care program and they have went above and beyond to help me in this process and the facilities are immaculate! These animals and customers are in great hands.

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue: what do users think?

Kerma Jacobus: my baby and was in awe of the kennel set up. There was a huge, fenced area for the large dogs they were fostering in site. There's also a boarding facility on location. The location and staff are so impressive that I wish I could adopt another. I will always refer anyone asking about adopting to Motley Zoo. I can't say enough good things!

Nateli S: Motley Zoo goes above and beyond in animal rescue. The passionate founder and countless volunteers are dedicated to their mission every day, often even when on vacation. Efforts are made to help save as many animals as possible and find the just right forever homes, which benefits both pets and people. We adopted our sweet pup Miley Anna from Motley Zoo over 10 years ago and she has been the perfect fit for our family.

Debby Bever: Incredible foster based rescue. They gave us our soul dog and we couldn’t be more thankful. they are amazing!

Dylan Jones: With transparency of operation and 'Come as You Are' welcome to involvement beyond just sending them money, Motley Zoo Animal Rescue has cultivated a collaborative community of concern and care in action. All our efforts to support have been honored here and the therapeutic effect our involvement has had on my partner cannot be overstated. Rock On and Rescue On!

Grace Mahan: I have been fostering with Motley Zoo for about a year now and cannot say enough amazing things! MZ is a foster based rescue run by volunteers who strive to make the best matches with animals and potential adopters. The application process is the way it is so that they are able to match you with your forever animal that will work best for your family. Every person who is involved with Motley Zoo is passionate about the work that they do and you will feel that when you are around them. Rock on, rescue on!

Emily Emilyh: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is truly one of a kind because of their innovative model, ride-or-die staff and volunteers, and especially because of the commitment they make to putting the animals first! Their careful process of matching people with the right animal companion ensures the best outcomes for the pets in their forever homes!

Theodora Letz: We adopted both our dogs from Motley Zoo. The care that their foster families gave them prior to adoption and a thorough selection process made the experience a success for dogs and owners.

John Whitley: Motley Zoo is a truly fantastic organization committed to helping animals by connecting them to the right homes. MZAR operates entirely through a network of animal foster families, not a shelter, which produces great outcomes for the animals. Armed with great feedback from their fosters, their foster coordinators are A+ matchmakers – helping to fit each animal's needs and personality with the right adopters. We've both adopted through MZAR and participated in the foster network, and have had outstanding experiences all around.

Kate S.: and us wanting to help -- we started fostering for Motley Zoo. We've since successfully cared for 6 foster dogs before tearfully saying goodbye as they all went off to their wonderfully placed forever families. We've helped with local area events -- including the wildly sucessful "Cat Circus" at last years Bumbershoot Festival. We love being involved with this rescure -- for the joy our adopted animals have brought us personally and for the all the small furry lives MZar saves along the way.

Terri Peltz: I also adopted from them. We knew she needed another dog in the home and people that were around a lot to be successful. I was so excited when we were deemed a good fit for her! She is now a well loved part of our family.

Cat Mask Girl: Ya know they really should put a warning label on the euphoria felt once past a deep intense concentrated grieving and hand off to people that you meet in a moment, look each other in the eye, exchange stories of experience and letting those you'll forever love from a far go on to a lifetime of assured loving care.^.^It was such an honor to host Robert Fripp and Brian Eno in feline form if only for two months. Our first fosters with Motley Zoo Animal Rescue, they were absolute gentleman and brilliant collaborative partners in many a short experimental film and photo with us.^.^When it comes to deciding if to try fostering, "Buy the ticket, Take the ride." That said, we'll never doubt taking the time to kick the tires before hopping on a band wagon. Finding the right organization to work with that we were well in alignment in purpose and path was key.^.^Looking forward to a future of many more such brief love affairs of helping many find each other to share their best lives together.Long may we live to Rock On and Rescue On together Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are mighty grateful we found our forever home in joining you!^.^

Katie: also known as Dottie now. We had such a great experience. The people who work here care deeply for the dogs and are in it to make the dogs happy and feel safe. We were first interested in a dog named Matthew who we found out didn’t get along well with others

Stephanie Cerezo: Motley Zoo is amazing! My partner and I adopted a kitty from them back in March. After many months it was obvious our home wasn’t the right fit for her. It was a very tough choice to make. Eva understood and supported us in our decision and made the surrendering process much more brighter for us. We thank you so much! We miss Bean but know she will be much happier now.

Jerad Shealey: My wife and I were given the opportunity to foster a little special needs pup from Motley Zoo. She was an amazing little creature but ultimately succumbed to her birth defects. Throughout the whole process Motley Zoo was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and communicative. The vets they’ve chosen to work with are also pretty great to deal with too. The facility where the animals are kept is spacious and clean plus they have multiple big dog run areas for exercise. So even though our first foster situation ended earlier than we anticipated, overall it was a very positive experience and it made me want to help out even more. Without question I would go through Motley Zoo again.I’ve seen some of the other reviews here and a few are pretty spicy. I don’t quite get that. Fostering and adopting takes time and at times running a rescue can be overwhelming with vet visits, coordinating, etc. Be patient and the right pet will come to you. ♥️

Robert Lee: Motley Zoo is the best.
