Katherine: Denise’s Parrot Place really cares about their birds a lot. They might be stricter than other places about their policies; but it’s all because they want to make sure the owner is well prepared, mentally and supply-wise, to take on the responsibility of owning a parrot. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Their baby birds are hand-fed and very tame. This is the place to go if you are serious about owning a quality parrot.
Jason Watson: diet, mentally exercised regularly by supplying ample toys, wooden chews, perching trees, etc and a very strong steel cage for times when you aren’t there and preferably a whole room just for the bird where they can romp around and be…birds. If you can’t do that or at least properly socialize and feed one for decades then it’s a good idea to find another companion. You can get most of the same enjoyment and personality with a conure, or a Quaker parakeet. They are great first time bird parent birds and can help prepare you for a macaw, or help you realize maybe a macaw is a bit too much bird. There are sadly thousands of macaws

L F: A month ago, we took home our cockatiel, whom we had visited for a month and a half once a week. The bird was kept with love and he immediately became super sociable. Our parrot's name is Master Chirikawa and yesterday he started speaking in human language.
char.: Ok, we all have to admit there were many birds there, it was pretty clean inside and also, they let us hold the birds. But one of the staff were kind of impatient, so I give it 4 stars. I recommend you to go there if you want a bigger parrot, not budgies. It's personally overpriced. I've seen lower prices. So yeah.

He went the extra mile to tell me what products to avoid which would be harmful to shrimp and even suggested the nearest store that would have the product since it was an emergency. Overall pleasant experience. I plan on making this my go to shop in the area despite it being 20-30 mins from my home.

I called Wally Pets and they were willing to set up a recurring meeting order for me, and at a lower price! I'm saving about $30 per month and am able to pick it up whenever it's convenient for me. The staff are super friendly and they have a great selection of treats and toys.

And I can walk in there and they remember my last visit and ask how my dog Tazzie is doing and was bummed she wasn't brought in. And even asked how she was doing with my choices I made with their help, how she was liking my selection. And another thing if she doesn't like something I always have hassel free returns or exchanges. It's great because I hate throwing away money.I suggest you try them, they have the feel of a small town ,but in the big city!! You'll love their personable being. Great job guys

Cas (Cheph): Suzanne has put in my hands probably the best toolbox to work with of resources, vets, stores, and other experts to try to handle one of the most unmanageable birds. I've got tons of notes, and she's truly committed to making sure every bird owner who comes her way is equipped to give that bird the best care possible, with knowledge on how avian mental and physical health intertwine and how cycles can be unknowingly developed and how to break them. I'm so glad that I found her; I'm now way more understanding of the issues my bird faces and how to work with them.
Ram Ness: with her. The space is specifically setup for parrot boarding, as well as clean and inviting. Suzzane has a wealth of knowledge and actively works to give your bird its best vacation. Not only did I get updates, I got to see Poco engaged and happy with someone who truly cares for birds.I have now boarded with Suzanne multiple times and recommend her over anyone else in the Seattle area.
chii: Unfortunately I wasn’t able to board my bird with her, but she gave me lots of resources and knowledge which proves she definitely knows what she is talking about. She takes every individual situation seriously and even wanted updates on my bird although I wasn’t boarding with her. In the future, she would 100% be someone that I would want my birds to board with.
Cathy Pfarr: I called Suzanne for a veterinarian recommendation and information about boarding requirements. Suzanne was very generous with her time and shared a lot of helpful resources. How refreshing to have someone so willing to share their knowledge and expertise! If you ever have the pleasure of chatting with Suzanne, you'll get a sense of her passion for our feathered friends and her commitment to their care and wellbeing.
Tyler Williams: I called Suzanne to ask about boarding for our two green cheek conures. Half an hour later we had discussed resources for avian mental health, vets in the area, and I had five sticky-notes worth of leads to follow up on for places to contact and things to look out for with other bird professionals. She has a wealth of knowledge about our feathered friends and honestly wants the best for them. I have not used any of her services, so I can't directly comment on that, but I have no doubt that parrots in her care will be pampered!
Kate Zoryna: We boarded Cookie, our green check conure, with Suzanne for 10 days during holiday break. This was the first time in 2 years we were leaving her for a longer period of time. We had to do it on the short notice, and we were so lucky to find Suzanne. She is an expert in bird care and has so much knowledge and passion. She gave us vet recommendation, took time to explain a few details about Cookie’s behavior and gave a ton of useful advice. The boarding conditions were top notch. The cages are large and clean. Suzanne setup the cage and took a lot of time to explain us the proper way of doing it. The food was perfect and, honestly, better than we were serving Cookie at home - we definitely took notes on it and improved. Suzanne offers out-of-cage play time when she interacts with the bird. This was very important for us, since Cookie spends a lot of time out of cage at home.I cannot imagine a better boarding facility for parrots, and we will be coming back in future for sure.
Adrienne Jourgensen: Suzanne is an absolutely wonderful soul and I've not met anyone more passionate about caring for her own parrots and outside birds she tends to, as well as the ones she's boarding. Her space to board these birds is full of love and warmth and she absolutely goes the extra mile make sure any feathered friend in her care is loved and, as the name suggests, PAMPERED beyond belief. She also hosts and sells an expansive variety of toys, food, and general products to keep your feathery child happy, entertained, and healthy at an extremely reasonable cost. And as if it couldn't get any better: if you have questions about parrot care, tips, techniques, vet reccomendations, you name it, she has the answers or the resources to point you in the right direction. Please ignore the couple of unfounded and riduculous reviews/claims below, they are simply untrue and inaccurate, I am VERY happy with my experience, 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RMK: Pampered Parrot has done an excellent job boarding my parrots for nearly five years. Suzanne always makes sure they have access to a healthy diet and plenty of attention. She is also my go-to for parrot related health and behavior questions. She has been a wealth of information for me. Her excellent level of care gives me peace of mind, which means a lot since I consider my birds as family.
Johanna Johanna: This was the first time we felt comfortable enough to leave our cockatiel at a boarding place. Our bird is our baby -- so it was truly important to us that this be the right fit. Suzanne took the time to really get all the information from us about his habits, likes, dislikes, etc as well as to answer all of our questions. Very knowledgeable about birds, she ensured that his environment was a safe one, and he apparently felt safe enough to do some exploring as well!For the 10 days while we were away, she regularly sent emails including photo updates and tidbits about his day, which truly put our minds and hearts at ease and allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worry. I always looked forward to reading and seeing the latest updates!We were also in the process of switching to a new avian vet, and she took the time to make a couple calls on our behalf while we out of the country.Our cockatiel definitely received 5 star treatment and looked happy and healthy when we arrived home. I wouldn't hesitate to put him in her care again in the future.***Update: I have since called Suzanne to pick her expert brain, related to our bird's care. She went above and beyond, sending me resources and readily sharing her wealth of knowledge about diet and local veterinary care. So very grateful for her willingness to generously share her avian wisdom! If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!
Robin Sevakis: We've been bringing our lineolated parakeet to Pampered Parrot boarding for many years now, and would feel uncomfortable bringing him anywhere else! Suzanne's care has really been above and beyond- not only is she great to communicate with and flexible when travel plans unexpectedly go awry, she is incredibly knowledgable about avian behavior, and has taken the time to give us phone calls to offer advice and vet recommendations. It is also clear that she has a great passion and love of birds, and we love that she sends us photos and updates on our bird during our longer trips. I would recommend Pampered Parrot to any bird owner looking for the best quality care.

Laurel Rogers: It was not stinky, but was a small store. The pawn shop that shares the place is 1/4 of the shop, but then again it's a small shop.I would recommend for wanting to be around birds if getting one for the first time, but not recommending for food. Those prices were a bit insane.Sweet birds, and I will be coming back soon!
Hannah Hibberd: To all the bad reviews, animal sanctuaries take a lot of work and cant be done by one person. Hes clearly giving that store everything he has if you truly want to see the animals be in better conditions, then you volunteer and help, not write bad reviews and waste his time and energy that he can be using to help the birds by making him read and reply to it. I really hope that someone who reads this volunteers cuz I would if I could but I live too far away.
Nicholas Lewis: Absolutely wonderful business. Tom is so helpful and kind and the birds are well loved. I take my cockatiel here any time we're out of town, and it's great knowing that he'll be watched over by someone who knows how to care for birds. The rescue birds are friendly and love visitors, and it's good knowing that they're well taken care of by the staff and volunteers.

Yes, the store needs some TLC but, I have been in several times. .my . each time the owner answered my many questions. The.parrots all looked .healthy and very alert. Quite a few were cruising outside their cages. I know now I want a bird and will be able to care for it. My thought appreciate the effort. The owner is making to provide a safe loving atmosphere and help him build his volunteer crew. I will continue to support this small local business.

Jen Coombs: Wings of the World is the best place to purchase your feathered baby and all the supplies they could need! We bought sibling cockatiels from them and were able to go visit and hold our babies until they were ready to come home. Everyone was so incredibly helpful, gave us tips and information and never once hesitated to answers questions in person or on the phone. They made the transition into being a feathered baby parent so much easier and less stressful for us! Chelsea Solomita: Very kind and helpful! I came in today feeling very stressed after accidentally quicking my cat’s nail. They had exactly what I needed and told me what to do to help my kitty. They also sent me home with little treats and a toy. Above and beyond sweet!I’m happy to report my cat George is doing great. I think the whole thing hurt me more than it hurt him. He’s now happily playing with the little yellow mouse from his goody bag. I’ll definitely be back soon! 💛

Sajni: Edit to previous review: Great selection but take it with a grain of salt. A friend's plants he bought had snails on them, and I saw lots of sad Bettas. They also sell very small tanks that make me worry. Higher prices on everything, but you can put up with it to support your LFS. VERY knowledgeable employees!

Lisa Leon-Guerrero: I had never been to a vet for exotic animals before I brought our leopard gecko to Bird & Exotic Clinic. I was cheerfully greeted at the door and barely had to wait to be seen. The exam room was comfortable and set up well so that I could sit or be a part of the action. Dr. Lewis and her assistant were very knowledgeable and instantly spotted the infection. They handled our pet with care and empathy and they helped me to understand how to feed and care for our little one much better. I picked up the correct UVB lamp and better food right away. Our gecko is doing much better and healing fast with their meds and advice. I highly recommend this vet.
Summer Hall: Everyone here was so friendly and helpful! I recently got a bearded dragon and had a lot of questions, they answered them all and provided me with an informative print out that I could reference. I am so happy that I now know what to do to make sure my pet has a happy and healthy life. I highly recommend this place!
Alex: I am a first time rabbit owner of two holland lops who are my pride and joy, Nina and Benny. I did a lot of research and decided on Bird and Exotic of Seattle and I am SO happy I did! The whole team is awesome and does a great job at explaining everything, and they are very transparent about pricing which I appreciate.Nina had her spay here and I was VERY nervous. Dr Dan and the team were all amazing. He kept her overnight to monitor her which is included with the spay which helped immensely with my peace of mind. She recovered super quick and I am planning to take Benny in for neutering soon. They also get their checkups, vaccines, and nails trimmed here and its always a great experience. Its very clear that everyone at this clinic is super knowledgeable and genuinely care about what they do!

Dylan LeBlanc: Absolutely exceptional experience. My guinea pig Coco started bleeding heavily and needed to get checked out immediately. Upon realizing the Severity of the situation, the doctor agreed to come in on his day to ensure she got the care she needed. He also took her home for 24hrs after the operation, she had several masses that needed to be removed causing this to turn into a very large and potentially risky surgery. From start to finish they answered all my questions and always picked up the phone quickly. They broke down the price range of the operation depending upon complications, I was extraordinarily relieved when I saw I would indeed be paying twords the lower end of the spectrum considering all of the additional work that had to be done. These people have called every day for 3 days to check in on her, overall this experience has far exceeded every expectation and they truly treat you and your furry friend like family. I highly recommend this place, and will be taking Coco there for as long as I can.
Jeff Miller: I took my Veiled chameleon to Bird & Exotic Clinic of Seattle and was seen by Dr. Lewis. She answered all the questions I had regarding my chameleon's sick state and prescribed medication in attempts to bring him back to health. Unfortunately my chameleon ended up passing 2 months later with a necropsy revealing a heart tumor to be the cause of death. I greatly appreciated the care and expertise offered by the clinic. Having the necropsy done allowed me to find solace in knowing the cause of death and the option to have my pet cremated helped me with final closure.
