Laura Molesworth: Sierra, Harley, Anne, and the whole crew at Elliott are THE BEST people to groom and care for my dog, Butter, EVER! They are so caring, sweet, gentle, and fun. Butter always tugs me all the way inside when she sees we are near the Elliott DDL building, and I always have to drag Butter out of daycare, even after grooming, because she loves being there so much and doesn’t want to go back to our boring home😂. Butter can be a handful and gets overwhelmed in large groups of dogs, but she never has any issues at DDL Elliott. It wouldn’t be possible without the amazing workers! Cannot recommend enough!
Erin Smith: My little guy loves this daycare location! They do a good job of easing the dogs into the place and keeping an eye on them. The camera feature is the absolute best cause I can check in on my pup throughout the day and feel like he's in good hands. This location unfortunately doesn't board at this time, but it's a super convenient location for daycare needs!
Nicole Jaramillo: If you are considering training at downtown dog lounge, think no more,all the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Everyone from the front desk staff, to grooming, knew Grogu and when we walked in they would all greet him. I had the pleasure of training with Tyler. He is very knowledgeable, loving and Grogu responded well to him. I originally went in with the intention of doing less sessions but after our first interaction I signed up for 8. I am extremely satisfied with all the progress Grogu has made in such a short time. He just turned 4 months and thanks to Tyler he knows more than I could have ever imagined. Tyler not only trained Grogu but he gave me all the skills and reassurance to continue working with him at home. Sadly we are leaving Washington if not I would of continued my services with Tyler and everyone else at DDL.

Livwithbiv: I highly, highly recommend the Downtown Dog Lounge - SLU. From the evaluation, to daycare, to boarding they have shown excellent care to my dog. We are currently having an issue with flight delays while out of state, and they are very easy to communicate with and have helped me to not worry about Lola while we are going through an already frustrating situation. The staff is absolutely amazing!!

Gigi Carter: If I could give 10 stars, I would. The staff at Downtown Dog Lounge Ballard saved my dog's life. Max is an older dog and rescue with several underlying health conditions, but has been stable for several months. Earlier this year, the vet told us Max's heart condition would worsen, but he couldn't pinpoint when. My husband and I planned a much-needed long holiday weekend in Dallas with close friends. We dropped Max and our other pup off at DDL on Thursday. Saturday night I received a text message and video of Max. His tongue was blue and he was having a very hard time breathing. With my approval, they immediately took Max to the emergency vet where they intubated and gave him oxygen and sedation. After speaking with the emergency vet, it was clear that the attention paid to Max, and quick action of the Downtown Dog Lounge staff saved my dog's life. I cut my trip short and flew back first thing Sunday morning to rush to the hospital. After talking through everything with the vet, Max was discharged from the hospital with new medications that he is tolerating very well. I know we don't have much time left with Max, but as someone who loves her dogs dearly I don't want to not be there when something happens. However, the care, love, attention and excellent communication of the staff at DDL made all the difference. Thank you! I'm deeply grateful.

They let them stay together since they're bonded.The only hiccup was that I have hearing loss and the intercom on the door after hours didn't work. It was difficult to have a conversation through the glass with the after hours attendant. Once we got it figured out, it was fine, so it doesn't warrant losing any stars.We will return.

Gasp, they didn't let you adopt a dog even though you think your sole qualification for pet ownership is the fact that you have a large yard? You found the questions made you feel like a criminal? Cry me a river and grow up. This is an animal rescue not a Best Buy: the only allegiance these people should have is to the animals. Customer service is not required nor would I expect it.I visited Emerald City a while back and the facility is spotless. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, kind and really care about the animals that are in their charge. They feed them top-of-the-line food. Their veterinary care is impressive. You can literally FEEL the love radiating out of this place.I met the most amazing little love sponge of a dog and I am taking time to consider whether I could give her the best forever home. I had a great experience there and was genuinely happy to meet everyone. But even if it hadn't been a good experience, it wouldn't have mattered: adoption is about THE ANIMAL and not me.When you're adopting an animal, please remember that this is a living, breathing creature. He or she has a heartbeat. They feel pain. They have feelings. They've been through hell and are probably confused and scared about why they're there. They need love. They need the best care you can give. They need to be your priority. Anything less than that and you don't deserve them.

They have worked with us in so many ways to help us make sure we can keep Max. I can't speak highly enough of how we were treated. 10/10

Additionally, the staff at Emerald city pet rescue made it really easy and they were very supportive when it came to adopting my new family member family member. Daily play time is an additional option. The staff have modernized tracking of your dog’s immunizations and vet care. You do bring your own dog food, which your dog is accustomed to.

Jessica Clements: We love this kennel! We've used it since we moved back to Western Washington in 2015. We relocated to Kent for a brief time which was when we found them! We've even used them since we moved up to Everett and then down to Kirkland. I can't find another boarder out there that lives up to this kennel. You have indoor/outdoor runs that are cooled/heated according to the weather. They're always super happy to see our lab, Skye. Once Skye gets in the door she can't control her excitement to be there and leaves us in the dust. They even know our second dog and remember them when we haven't been in a while. Even though this kennel is well out of our way to use, I feel the quality of care and passion of the staff makes it well worth the extra time/planning it takes to get her down to Kent for when we go out of town.

I called Wally Pets and they were willing to set up a recurring meeting order for me, and at a lower price! I'm saving about $30 per month and am able to pick it up whenever it's convenient for me. The staff are super friendly and they have a great selection of treats and toys.

Cas (Cheph): Suzanne has put in my hands probably the best toolbox to work with of resources, vets, stores, and other experts to try to handle one of the most unmanageable birds. I've got tons of notes, and she's truly committed to making sure every bird owner who comes her way is equipped to give that bird the best care possible, with knowledge on how avian mental and physical health intertwine and how cycles can be unknowingly developed and how to break them. I'm so glad that I found her; I'm now way more understanding of the issues my bird faces and how to work with them.

chii: Unfortunately I wasn’t able to board my bird with her, but she gave me lots of resources and knowledge which proves she definitely knows what she is talking about. She takes every individual situation seriously and even wanted updates on my bird although I wasn’t boarding with her. In the future, she would 100% be someone that I would want my birds to board with.

How refreshing to have someone so willing to share their knowledge and expertise! If you ever have the pleasure of chatting with Suzanne, you'll get a sense of her passion for our feathered friends and her commitment to their care and wellbeing.
Tyler Williams: I called Suzanne to ask about boarding for our two green cheek conures. Half an hour later we had discussed resources for avian mental health, vets in the area, and I had five sticky-notes worth of leads to follow up on for places to contact and things to look out for with other bird professionals. She has a wealth of knowledge about our feathered friends and honestly wants the best for them. I have not used any of her services, so I can't directly comment on that, but I have no doubt that parrots in her care will be pampered!
Kate Zoryna: We boarded Cookie, our green check conure, with Suzanne for 10 days during holiday break. This was the first time in 2 years we were leaving her for a longer period of time. We had to do it on the short notice, and we were so lucky to find Suzanne. She is an expert in bird care and has so much knowledge and passion. She gave us vet recommendation, took time to explain a few details about Cookie’s behavior and gave a ton of useful advice. The boarding conditions were top notch. The cages are large and clean. Suzanne setup the cage and took a lot of time to explain us the proper way of doing it. The food was perfect and, honestly, better than we were serving Cookie at home - we definitely took notes on it and improved. Suzanne offers out-of-cage play time when she interacts with the bird. This was very important for us, since Cookie spends a lot of time out of cage at home.I cannot imagine a better boarding facility for parrots, and we will be coming back in future for sure.
Adrienne Jourgensen: Suzanne is an absolutely wonderful soul and I've not met anyone more passionate about caring for her own parrots and outside birds she tends to, as well as the ones she's boarding. Her space to board these birds is full of love and warmth and she absolutely goes the extra mile make sure any feathered friend in her care is loved and, as the name suggests, PAMPERED beyond belief. She also hosts and sells an expansive variety of toys, food, and general products to keep your feathery child happy, entertained, and healthy at an extremely reasonable cost. And as if it couldn't get any better: if you have questions about parrot care, tips, techniques, vet reccomendations, you name it, she has the answers or the resources to point you in the right direction. Please ignore the couple of unfounded and riduculous reviews/claims below, they are simply untrue and inaccurate, I am VERY happy with my experience, 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RMK: Pampered Parrot has done an excellent job boarding my parrots for nearly five years. Suzanne always makes sure they have access to a healthy diet and plenty of attention. She is also my go-to for parrot related health and behavior questions. She has been a wealth of information for me. Her excellent level of care gives me peace of mind, which means a lot since I consider my birds as family.
Johanna Johanna: This was the first time we felt comfortable enough to leave our cockatiel at a boarding place. Our bird is our baby -- so it was truly important to us that this be the right fit. Suzanne took the time to really get all the information from us about his habits, likes, dislikes, etc as well as to answer all of our questions. Very knowledgeable about birds, she ensured that his environment was a safe one, and he apparently felt safe enough to do some exploring as well!For the 10 days while we were away, she regularly sent emails including photo updates and tidbits about his day, which truly put our minds and hearts at ease and allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worry. I always looked forward to reading and seeing the latest updates!We were also in the process of switching to a new avian vet, and she took the time to make a couple calls on our behalf while we out of the country.Our cockatiel definitely received 5 star treatment and looked happy and healthy when we arrived home. I wouldn't hesitate to put him in her care again in the future.***Update: I have since called Suzanne to pick her expert brain, related to our bird's care. She went above and beyond, sending me resources and readily sharing her wealth of knowledge about diet and local veterinary care. So very grateful for her willingness to generously share her avian wisdom! If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!
Robin Sevakis: We've been bringing our lineolated parakeet to Pampered Parrot boarding for many years now, and would feel uncomfortable bringing him anywhere else! Suzanne's care has really been above and beyond- not only is she great to communicate with and flexible when travel plans unexpectedly go awry, she is incredibly knowledgable about avian behavior, and has taken the time to give us phone calls to offer advice and vet recommendations. It is also clear that she has a great passion and love of birds, and we love that she sends us photos and updates on our bird during our longer trips. I would recommend Pampered Parrot to any bird owner looking for the best quality care.

When we picked him up he hopped from my shoulder back to Suzanne where he nuzzled her neck.You will not find a more loving or better person to care for your bird. She really makes them feel at home.
