They steered me towards velvet to handle cats as well, which I hadn't thought of before. I've had it for 6-7 years now and it still looks about as new as when I got it delivered, despite being routinely puked on by my cats.

I'll wite about that too as it comes in.Update: I see the response below and agree that the store should have a chance to fulfill the contract. Quoted end of April would be outside that promise and verbal estimate was before the promise date. Still an honest account of what we experienced to date. Glad you are paying attention to our reviews as I see other experiences like ours. More as our order progresses to see if the estimates hold true to form. Right now 3 stars out of 5 which is neither negative nor positive as I noted good order experience but bad updates and estimates. Guess you can earn the other stars on delivery follow through.Last update: Couch delivered on April 1st. Great construction and easy delivery arrangements. I even arranged to have them take away the old couch. Excellent!

One of the chairs we bought there a number of years ago broke, and they sent someone out to fix it free of charge. More recently, we had a great experience buying a special order sectional from Patrik. He was knowledgeable and extremely accommodating as he helped us get the perfect piece at the best price.

Service was very good particularly for the Deco that required some set up. They do charge for delivery but really worth it because it's very personalized and the delivery personnel really know the products. Room & Board is one of the few retailers that when you complete a survey, you know they read it. For the most recent coffee table purchase I had a question and a comment. I received a response just a day later. While not expected they went above and beyond in response and action. I would whole heartedly and confidently purchase at Room & Board again.

Robin Harrison: We had originally ordered a similar sofa from Apt2B, which is a national major chain, and with a promise of 4-8 weeks delivery time, and no couch after 5 months with no real delivery date in site, we got our money back from Apt2B and headed to Modern Design Sofas here locally in the Central District.BOY, are we happy we did! Service was absolutely fantastic, it was so nice to get to feel them out in person, and the delivery time was VERY reasonable and our sofa is LUXURIOUS. It's my dream couch and all our friends are obsessed.10/10 would recommend them for your sofa-purchasing needs.

Josh was great to work with and was patient with me as I took about 3 weeks to mull over some decisions about the size of the sectional and the fabric choice. There was never any pressure whatsoever. He was very helpful in letting me know things to consider when I was deciding on a fabric and gave me several samples to take home to consider. He was also key to me picking out the correct color for the legs that would go best. In addition to the great service, MDS has a very smart and sharp array of designs and styles. I shopped around at several other stores I would always typically go to in years past but I kept coming back to MDS.

Bruce Meyers: Very unassuming store that is jammed full with sofa's & chairs. At first, I thought that most of the designs and colors were not right for my son & his wife. However, two sectionals caught our attention. One had a desireable contemporary design with nice fabric. The second one had a better design and the sofa was about 10 inches wider than the other one. However, the fabric was all wrong. Josh was so helpful when we told him what we were looking for in terms of design, colors, and durability. He showed us several other fabrics that ticked all the boxes for both color, texture, and durability. To our surprise, Josh showed us how we could customize the sofa with a better fabric for no increase in price. We could select the color of the wood legs and for a modest fee we could add 6 button tufting to each of the three sofa back cushions. Both the back and seat cushions were fully reversable and could be serviced at the store if anything went wrong in the future. All of this could be made for us in Los Angeles and delivered in 4 to six weeks. We looked at several chain furniture stores and another local store. Modern Design sofas had the best quality and prices compared to the other stores. We bought a high quality customized sofa with the lowest delivery cost for about what we would have paid at a higher end chain store. Their sofa didn't compare in terms of design or base price fabrics.

The price was great and I got exactly what I wanted in a high quality well-designed item, in what looks and feels like a custom fabric, for easily half the price of anywhere in Seattle or generally online. They have a brick and mortar location downtown with design assistance, but you can also order everything online and the owner will contact you about delivery and choices. My custom sofa bed was here in just three weeks.. This store is a well kept secret.

Well worth the $6k+ including ottoman. It's really a sweet feat of fluid architecture, creating motion within the wood and outward. Or as I call it, a leather chair with a PORPOISE!

Claude Constant: Purchased the most perfect Luonto Sleeper sofa for my space. The staff was truly patient with me as I requested a high number of swatches to make sure that the color would go with my color scheme. The White Glove Delivery Service was also well worth the price as these sofas tend to be heavy because of their sturdy mechanisms.I use it mainly as a sofa in my office/guest room and find it to be more comfortable than the one in my living room. I also napped on it once and was delighted with the firmness of the mattress. My visitors will be very happy.I was a bit worried about purchasing out of state. The next time I will not hesitate to purchase from Sleepers in Seattle. The service and the product are excellent.
John Kvasnosky: We called the store looking for help in getting a frame repair for our 12-year-old American Leather sleeper sofa. Despite its age, it was in very good condition and we wanted help getting it fixed. The shop helped us get in touch with the manufacturer but, unfortunately, its age made getting parts difficult. We went back to the shop, and Beatrice there put us in touch with a local repair person they use who was able to help us get the sleeper quickly back in service. It saved us from having to replace the otherwise good-condition item during what would have been a long, post-Covid delivery delay. They did a great job of customer service!

Arlene schmidt: I love my new sleeper sofa. The only reason I gave this a four-star is because after delivery, I had trouble finding the straps on the side of the sleeper. With much difficulty, I was only able to cut the straps with a knife. In my opinion, the straps that held the sleeper mattress in place for shipping should have been removed by the delivery people prior to placing the cushions.
Joe: They are very well mannered salespeople on the phone. I was very happy with their customer service. Anytime I emailed for an update it was answered in minutes. I will very likely be back.
Betty Snowie: I had the option to purchase locally or online from Savvy Home. The exact same loveseat recliner in the exact color. The salesperson locally said she would match the price, but all in all, she couldn't. Customer service at Savvy Home happened to have great discounts right when I was looking and the final price, including white-glove delivery was less than what I could get locally.Now, as for the loveseat itself, we love it! It looks amazing in our room and is extremely comfortable. The electric reclining mechanism works perfectly and we are very happy with our purchase and with the service at Savvy Home. I would not hesitate to purchase from Savvy Home as future needs arise.

The furniture was very easy to assemble and there were many different permutation combinations that we could implement in our living room.

Jingkang: UPDATEI returned the product and received full refund. The process was very smooth.The store is inviting and staffs are quite helpful. My only complaint is about the product quality. The branch table looks really nice in the store, but the one I got is with lots of black spot both on the top and on the side of the table, which makes it look very dirty. It also has a much stronger chemical smell than the other furnitures I bought.

The store is relatively large for being located in the city and felt spacious inside with room to walk around. It's mainly furniture with some accessories like mirrors or lamps. I saw a few things I liked and the price points were similar to West Elm. The staff weren't very attentive while we visited. Also, I would have liked to see more accessories. Nice furniture store though - I recommend checking it out!

Carol Brown: Micah went above and beyond for a special made nightstand we had ordered. It took longer than expected with delays. We were unable to fit the nightstand in our vehicle when it was ready for pickup. With no hesitation Micah offered to deliver it…Wow that is a rare gesture nowadays it seems. Nick Totin: Oh. My. Gosh. You must go in this store. Have a look 'round. Buy the cutest thing you see. I saw a water pitcher with a snake wrapped around it and I thought about it for two days. I walked an hour back just to buy it. Everything is beautiful here and the staff is perfect. You can buy so many cute things and put them all in your home. Which is what you deserve.

Holly: Retrofit Home, a unique store located in Capitol Hill, Seattle. Retrofit Home is more than just a furniture store; it’s a mini-department store with a sophisticated, fun, and edgy aesthetic. If you’re in the Capitol Hill area, be sure to check it out! In addition to furniture, you’ll find home goods, kitchen essentials, and unique gift items. The every day books were my favorite collection to browse through. Quirky and funky, Retrofit Home sells lots of items you won’t find anywhere else. While their products aren’t cheap, the quality and uniqueness make up for it. Even their sale items can be fairly expensive, but they’re worth it if you want something special. I told the employee I loved their store and the vibe was so inviting and if I had more time I’d probably buy a lot more! So, if you’re on the hunt for distinctive furniture, home decor, or delightful gifts, consider paying Retrofit Home a visit. It’s a gem in Capitol Hill!

Ricky Romano: I am so happy with my new couch from DWR. Sahar, the furniture professional that helped me was wonderful. She made the process easy and enjoyable, and the couch is perfect. It's very stylish, very comfortable and you can feel how well made it is and how high quality the leather and other materials are. I would definitely buy from them again and feel very comfortable recommending them to friends and family.
AV Goodsell: Beautiful showroom as always. Also I appreciate that the staff here don't mind when I have brought my children in. We do appreciate design in our home so it's important they learn how to behave respectfully in these types of beautiful places

Millie Kwan: is fairly large and has a good amount of their furniture. Nice to be able to try furniture out in person since buying blind is difficult. The sales person did ask if we needed help but did back of when we said that we were just looking. Can't wait to get pieces into our home since it's a great fit for the intended space.
Ayanda Masilela: I haven't purchased from these folks yet. Rather, I found a used Knoll LIfe Chair and the manufacturer directed me to DWR for local repair services. I've been working with DWR's customer service team for some time now trying to locate a replacement part for my generation of the chair. It's been quite the quest, indeed.Here to express my appreciation for a service team that is supporting the maintenance of a product that they didn't process themselves. It's left a very positive impression on me as a customer that they've been willing to help with this oddball case. It also reinforces that the manufacturer and its affiliates take lifelong product care seriously. Here's to hoping we can find the parts. Thank you regardless!
R Kaur: The store has a very personalised no nonsense customer service style which I appreciated, letting you walk through the store- the design associate would come over to help you out every few minutes, in case you have questions. After we shortlisted a few products Renee sat down with us and helped us with the shipping timelines before we ordered, along with recommendations for other pieces which we decided to think over before purchasing. Since these are high value purchases having someone work with us was wonderful. I highly recommend coming into the store rather than ordering online esp. to have a look at the visual merchandising to identify your particular style and inspiration for how you may want to set up your home.
David Frederick: and decided to stop by DWR. I ended up purchasing a dinning table and chairs. After some issues with the table, two replacements later, I now have a story to share of what excellent customer service is all about. Stephanie Blom at the Seattle location was wonderful through out the process

I don't think they usually deliver, but they were happy to help me out since I live only a few blocks away. Top service and excellent people. Very competitive prices for the level of finishing and craftsmanship. I stop by occasionally just to see what new and beautiful piece they have in. A neighborhood gem!

Meredith Hansen Favero: Chris is amazing! He helped us through purchase and finishing a dining table from his lovely shop. Unfortunately, we noticed a few flaws in the wood. He quickly sent out a specialist to do repairs, but we decided that it needed replaced. He was so cooperative with us through this process and even offered to have it picked up since we don't have transport for the table. We look forward to having Tirto as a resource for quality service and furniture in the future!

Couldn't give a stronger recommendation for this store.
Michelly Calzadilla: Cool furniture store that's a lot larger than expected, but pretty far out of the way. Almost everything is wood with neat designs and decent quality. There were a few things we saw, but quite a bit was proportioned for a house moreso than apartment living. Prices were in-line with what you'd expect given the quality and designs. I would have appreciated more variety in colors and materials. I recommend checking it out.

Levi West (W&BM): Feels comfortable. Not sure yet if it's the direction of what I am looking for yet but staff is nice and helpful and is comfortable to just shop around.
Andrea Stowell: . We were notified that it would be delayed one month in December, but we still got it on time. I was super pleased to be able to schedule a delivery date the same week we got the email that it arrived in Kent. Their third-party delivery service through Ryder was a bit disappointing compared to other white-glove deliveries we've had, but not a huge deal.So far, we love this couch and would highly recommend it!
Christopher Pxttx: I just moved from Manhattan and this location blows the DOORS OFF of what we had in Columbus Circle. Great team, friendly, helpful, and I just felt appreciated. The atmosphere helps you feel 'creative'.
