Teresa Still: Go here!!! Don’t waste your time running around anywhere else. I went to six different places to find awful customer service and nothing even close to what I needed. Matt at Limback was so nice on the phone, took the time to look and see that he had everything I needed which was Red Oak for trim around my front doors. When I arrived he had it setting aside for me, it looked wonderful and worked exactly like I needed it too. The other gentleman loaded it up for me and I was in and out in 10 minutes.They were awesome, I highly recommend!!
Shannon Newman: Limback Lumber has been nothing but spectacular. Lots of options for wood and trim, and they will do some cuts to size at no charge. We needed to order a very thick/large piece of wood for our mantel and they arranged it with their supplier and cut it to size for us. Responsive and nice to work with, and prices are reasonable. Will be going there for all of our wood needs in the future!
Lisa Fitch: These guys are great! This long time lumber company is located in the heart of Ballard. I don't know lumber and construction products at all and was determined to build a catio myself. It was more than I anticipated, but these guys were SO helpful! Not only did they recommend certain products, but one of the recommendations was out of stock. They told me two other places nearby that could possibly stock the part.... then, they took it one step further and two of them got on the phone and called around to find it for me! When I went to the new place to pick it up, they had it waiting on the counter for me. Such service! Definitely 5 stars

They sell Douglas fir lumber and have an amazing selection of fir and cedar trim stock. They have a trim area with many trim profiles common to older homes in the area. They can also match your trim. I highly recommend.

Parking was not an issue and going through the self checkout was quick and easy.

Come to Stewart if you want quality merchandise competitively priced, with exceptional customer service from knowledgeable staff who quietly, consistently get the repeat business from the pros that know. There are only a few legacy lumber yards in Seattle, Stewart has been around for as long as they have because they do it all correctly. Christian Gonzalez: Best wood selection and prices around. You can find the sizes you need of most lumber. I really wish they had some hours on weekends, I would buy much more often if that was possible.
Brian Connolly: A wide variety of wood, and better prices than the big box stores. They sell most hardwoods by the board foot and label each board. Many species you likely haven't heard of before. You can browse to find the piece that works for your project. I haven't used them, but there are a couple bins of cutoff pieces sold by the pound.

Justin Lemma: I LOVE this place but really wish they were open on weekends. Even 9-12 on Saturday. I would go so much more often if I didn't need to miss work in order to shop here - I can't help but think I'm not the only woodworking hobbyist that works a weekday 9-5 schedule in Seattle....

Lots of really nice material. Competitive prices, from what I’ve seen. It’s like a smaller Edensaw, but they’re way more helpful. And they’re in Seattle. We’re lucky to have them.

Jennifer Washington: . It was the most awkward thing, because they were all standing behind the counter, staring at me until I walked out. I thought maybe as a paying customer who is spending $1000 would be OK making them stay up in five minutes late. But they are so adamant about getting out of there at 4 that it is stressful and awkward and makes me not want to go in the store, but their wood it’s so damn good and one of the only places to get it. I’m sure if you can get in there earlier the guys are very helpful and it is a much more pleasurable experience.

Bill Enger: There was a good sale on lumber, and I needed some maple boards. This timing was fortunate, and they had some boards I liked.
Sheryl Kirby: My husband had called and put something on hold. I drove down after work from Everett. The traffic wasn't bad, got there about 9am, they weren't busy, picked up the item and went home. They were friendly and nice guys.
