Stanley Barnwell: We had bought one of the larger, semi hard shell suitcases, and during a trip airport baggage resulted in cracks in the top part of the frame by the zipper , and anotherone at one of the wheel area. The bag is several years old, at least. We contacted the company they sent a perfect replacement and instructions to use the same box to return the old one. It worked very well, and we are very happy with the service provided by AWAY. Clearly a good company to work for and we were very happy with the service. I see no problem with the suitcase itself but think heavy handling at baggage area was the cause. The suitcase has the expected scrapes on the sides, but I fully feel this is expected if we’re going to do check your luggage. These semi hard plastic shells are always going to get some scratches on them. Signs you do a lot of excellent traveling! Unless it penetrates into the carrier, we just ignore them. We will continue to shop with them.

The Monos luggage is lighter then Away, however scuffs easily.I honestly still prefer Away. Feels much more durable to me.The sand and maroon are mine. The coast is my daughter, Kaylah’s.I plan on purchasing one more large Away luggage.I’m definitely and truly happy with my purchases. 😍

I had mentioned I wanted a green tech bag but they only had the coast or blue in stock. I went ahead and bought the blue to see how I liked it. Away has a great return policy so I was going to return it if I didn’t like the color. A couple hours later Jaime called to let me know that the bigger tech bag did not come in green and she wanted to make sure that I wasn’t disappointed if I wanted that color. Someone going out of the way to call us with that was so awesome and made me feel so much better spending the money for Away. It’s a small detail but it’s those details that mean so much more in customer care. Away has customers for life!

I contacted them via email and received a quick and warm reply to let me just bring my luggage whenever I can.Their generosity and expertise were evident as they swiftly and effectively repaired my luggage. This will ensure a smooth experience.
N: and it's much cheaper than buying a whole new suitcase! The wheels matched my other two wheels perfectly as well.The staff were friendly and professional. They have a dog, which is well behaved, but just be mindful of that if you have any allergies.

Not even the zippers have given me a problem.I’d left my bag on a stove which melted the base, and the factory was able to replace the burnt parts within a day like it never happened.Absolutely legendary.

Daniel: is a bit off the beaten track in Seattle. But it’s worth it to get it a visit if you’re in Seattle as sometimes the sizes can be a bit confusing. Before you visit, it’s better if you have the shopping list with you as the display isn’t very well organized and sometimes you end up distracted and forgetting the items you intended to buy.

Went with a Synapse 25 and it's by far the best bag I've ever owned, I expect it to last for decades. Absolutely worth the price when you factor in longevity. They're very helpful online but if you're in Seattle, this shop is more than worth a drop-in so you can try out the bags yourself!Edit: Thought I'd update this review ~5 years later. This backpack is still my primary backpack. There is no fraying and it still looks brand new. At one point, the plastic T-bar used for the internal frame broke. I sent an email to customer support and they mailed me a new one free of charge the same day. I've taken this backpack around the world, in pouring rain, on day hikes up mountains, you name it. It's still going strong and at this rate, I'm not sure if I will outlive it! 10/10 recommend.

Daniel Quasar: I came in not knowing that it's not totally an open shop type store but they were extremely kind. I was in desperate need of a bag because I was catching a bus in a short time. They were gracious and kind and helped me find the right bag, and I made my bus with no issues.I got the Sugarloaf Bag in Teal and it's really nice and fit my needs perfectly. Not to mention their business is built on using recycled materials, so a big bonus for that!I will definitely return to buy more bags next time I'm in town. Steve Slack: This is an awesome store. All the retro airline items are great.I wanted to buy a ton, but I was only passing through the airport. I'll probably get a few things from their website. It would be great to see the store expand to more airports.

Paul Barina: Absolutely unique store located at the airport. Although I did not buy some thing you can’t help but smile walking through the store. If you’re an aviation enthusiast you will absolutely love this place! It is absolutely one of a kind. Tons of really neat items and clothes! Looking forward to stopping back in and maybe purchasing something this time. The staff was nice and answer any questions I had.
Taylor Wisler: One of the best stores ever for those who like aviation. They have everything from kid's toy planes to "executive" models and decor. Lots of shirts, hats and accessories for legacy carriers. If you want a cool bag, shirt or sticker with a logo like Pan Am or TWA, this is your place!
Anthony Sandrin: Cool store for airline enthusiasts. From Pan Am shirts and bags to TWA coffee mugs and model planes and books, this store has a lot. I was even able to find a pretty rare Pan Am book by former pilot Gene Banning that I hadn't been able to find anywhere else. 5/5 store.
Dr. Lisa: Great new gift store in SeaTac for pilots or airline enthusiasts. Found some cool keychains for my husband who is a pilot. Just check the price first as they are a bit pricy although really cool!!
