Seattle Antiques Market: what do users think?

Robert Green: Lots of unique furniture and old oddball items for reasonable prices.

Cassandra: loved it!!! the prices were a wee bit high but they had so many good clothes to choose from, and i adored the burn book lol

Jenn Francis: Fun to walk around!

Jason Myers: Thoughtfully curated and well organized shop full of unique items. A new must visit place for me whenever I’m in Seattle.

Erik: The Seattle Antique Market is, without a doubt, a five-star destination for antique enthusiasts. As the top spot for antiques in the area, it lives up to its reputation with the largest and most diverse selection, all curated by a single passionate individual. The array of items available is truly impressive, offering something for every kind of collector. My own visit resulted in a substantially heavier bag, filled with unique finds including a charming statue, an assortment of books, stylish bookends, and several other intriguing items. The prices here are fixed, which adds a straightforward, no-haggle dimension to the shopping experience – quite unusual, but it works. A delightful bonus was the opportunity to play an old-school game, complete with the chance to win candy – a nostalgic touch that added to the fun. The market is not only about the items it sells; it's also about how beautifully everything is displayed, making it a visually pleasing experience. The Seattle Antique Market is a must-visit location for anyone looking for unique and high-quality antiques in a well-organized, inviting environment.

Madsen Modern Vintage Furniture: what do users think?

Eric Nelson: Madsen Modern is undoubtedly the best mid-century furniture expert in the state. We have been clients of Brandon and Brian for nearly six years. In that time our business with them has included purchase of six pieces of furniture, sale via consignment, furniture repair and restoration. We are lucky enough to be local in Seattle so have had the extraordinary pleasure of seeing their fantastic workshop. Their museum-like space has amazing furniture in all states of renewal. But even more special is working with them both in person. They are the nicest guys you’ll meet. Honest, kind, and helpful. I love hearing them geek out on mid-century furniture! We’ve seen them work magic on teak that looks ruined. They are great at predicting what they can do and to what degree they can fix a piece. Their prices are exceedingly fair. Prices of quality mid-century furniture on many online shops have become eye watering. We’ve been able to get both quality work and a fair price with them. Mid-century furniture holds its value and lasts if you take care of it. We find our purchases from Madsen Modern to be an investment.

Lynette Lewis: I've gotten some beautiful things here and the owners are wonderful to work with.

JM Malinchak: These guys are legit. I want to buy everything they sell.

Wes Luckey: Bryan has been a pleasure to work with

Virginia Chiu: Very kind and responsive staff who have an eye for great pieces. They accommodate your schedule and do not pressure you into buying. I'm super happy with the pieces I purchased and will definitely be following Madsen Modern for future vintage pieces.

Ellen Strenski: Thank you very much. We are very pleased with our purchase and the shipping arrangements. The loveseat arrived in pristine condition and, if anything, looks even better than the original photo.

Jonathan H.: I just worked with Madsen Modern to have two Dux lounge chairs restored. I am overwhelmed at the beautiful job they did. They both had seen significant wear and tear but on getting them back they look as I assume they did 60+ years ago. Brian was easy to communicate with, flexible with my timing and they were done more than a week earlier than I was quoted. I can't recommend them enough.

Michelle Asire: I have been extremely pleased with the experience of working with Brandon and Brian Madsen of Madsen Modern. So positive has been our experience that my husband and I have gone to Madsen for three separate purchases within the past six months. Communications have been prompt, courteous, and thorough. The repair and restoration work is outstanding, resulting in absolutely lovely furniture, without exception. Brandon and Brian were beyond generous with their time and expertise, providing us extensive information regarding upholstery and refinishing options, tools, and techniques. I highly recommend purchasing from Madsen Modern. You won't be disappointed.

Emma Marquez: went completely smoothly. They have a wonderful eye for beautiful items, and take great care in restoration. I especially appreciate Brandon's prompt and detailed responses to all of our queries.

Keith B: We also feel like Madsen repairs and refinishes their furniture in a historically appropriate way. Beautiful! Oh, and the owners are extremely nice and accommodating. We are local, so are able to pick up the furniture vs. shipping it, and have enjoyed our interactions with Brian and Brandon. Their shop is extremely clean and their employees are always busily hand-sanding something while we are there. We look forward to a long buying relationship with this shop.

W Freeman: Had a wonderful experience at Madsen Modern in Seattle, WA while furniture shopping last week. We were met at the door by owner Brandon Madsen then were treated to a tour of this warehouse/workshop full of gorgeous mid century modern furniture. Brandon and his brother Brian were very knowledgeable about their furniture and the refinishing process. We found several pieces for our new town home in Seattle. Wonderful experience!

Aimee O'Carroll: Couldn't have wished for a better experience at Madsen Modern! The owner found me the perfect rocking chair for my apartment and lifestyle - the NY Chair by Takeshi Nii.I will definitely be going back!

SoiledDude: Madsen Modern was a hidden gem. Saw a couch for sale by them, and was smitten. Then we checked out other furniture stores and were floored by the prices. But we kept coming back to Madsen Modern settee. We called and they went out of their to show the piece. We picked it up the next week. Brian helped us package and load the piece. He showed such love for the piece by the way helped wrap it to protected it from the rain. The guys are the real deal. Definitely a shop to check out, you won't go wrong!

Susan Wheeler Home: what do users think?

RV E: Lovely place and owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome!

Hannah Spring: I hesitate to call this an antique store because the selection is curated and cohesive in a way they most antique stores aren’t. Walking in the door, you will suddenly be at the antique market in Paris. Everything, and I mean everything, in this store is Perfection. From the pillow cases in the most sublime linens to the large hutches that just ache to complete someone’s kitchen/dining room. This place is perfect. Talking with Susan — beaming with warmth, knowledge, and elegance — is the icing on the cake.

Anthony Elarth: The jewelry at Susan Wheeler - not to be overlooked! So much variety and all so unique. Was just browsing really - then noticed and fell in love with a sterling silver ring with an oversized bird as the...what’s the word, ornament? Knew immediately that I’d sooner or later buy it. Then days later, met the perfect recipient - she loves it! Will try to get a pic and add here. Susan and Susan’s daughter - thx for the advice on sizing and the stellar packaging, was so easy to wrap up as a gift. ❤️

Michelle Crumpler: Unique finds and lovely conversation. I always leave the store feeling inspired.

D Jensen: Susan has quality antiques and an eye for design. I love the pair of chairs I bought! I highly recommend!

Karyn Porter: Love, love, love this place! The owner Susan Wheeler is just a delight! You'll find antique furniture, mirrors, tables, dishes and silverware and antique jewelry as well as some local artists handmade jewelry. I especially love the Andrea Savar pieces. You'll also find some antique linens. This is pretty much an antique store, but oh so lovely!

Paula McKinnon: The most interesting and amazing store I've been in!

Arash Taheri Lotfi: Great selection of antiques @ great prices. Fell in love with a gorgeous mirror but sadly the measurements did not fit my entrance.

Michelle Dirkse: Wow. Susan Wheeler Home has such a diverse collection of vintage and antique pieces. It's a favorite when I'm in need of something special for a client's home, a cute card or a great piece of jewelry.

Lynn: Susan has the most sophisticated taste in town. This is where I go to find unique french inspired furniture and mirrors. Her shop is worth a visit. You will be inspired!

Antiques 4U: what do users think?

avory bell: owner is really kind, clean, tidy shop, cute selection, higher pricing ^^

Melisa Wood: The owner was very nice

Avery Reiter: Great customer service. Stopped by looking for a quilt and I ended up finding a wonderful one to add to my collection.

Tiffany Bischof: This is a lovely little antique shop. Definitely stop by and look around, it will be worth it. My guy Claude bought me a lovely little gift here, an inlay ceramic bell that rings like a crystal wine glass.

Brian H: Quaint little store with a nice selectionThe owner was very nice and helpful.

Carissa Wikstrom: Beautiful antiques and charming owners! Stop for the old treasure and stay for the cider. 💕

Audi Sides: Nice. Love these kind of stores. I can spend an hour in this one easy

William Sturtevant: While visiting Antiques 4U, I Saw this really cool 1 cent vending machine in July of 2020 and thought it would be stunning in my new shop. Compliments the art deco industrial theme. Just couldn't justify the purchase at the time. Fast forward to December and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Reached out to Holly and she said it was available still, she held it for a few days till I got down there to purchase it. Very glad I did. In the process we both forgot the carry case that came with it. Since I am closed on Monday and Tuesday, she went out of the way to ensure someone would meet me, which they are also closed, so I could retrieve the case.Great job and customer service. I would recommend stopping in and hope you find your hidden treasure.WilliamBy Design gentlemen’s salon

Stephen Selke: Great antique store! Very nice store, good condition furniture and collectible pieces, friendly staff, and good cider that they recently started selling. It’s a great find for a metro area that doesn’t have too many antique stores.

Carol Weidemann: What a wonderful shop. So much to see.

Flag Bearer: Worth Trip if You Love Quality Antiques n Uniques 🌶🇺🇸

Kay Larsson: Antiques 4U is a wonderful antique shop filled with unique, high quality items -- especially the gorgeous furniture! Nick and Holly are always very welcoming and eager to share information about their merchandise. When you walk into the store, you are free to browse through the shop and experience no pressure. I can't recommend them highly enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Abby Alexander: Walked in, and was invited to do a cider tasting. And I'm so glad I walked in. Got a history of traditional cider making, the varieties of apples, a discussion on prohibition and its impact on cider making. 10/10, I would love to come back again! Hope I can buy this out of state soon!

mike newman: You can sure tell the owners have a great eye for picking high quality items!

Billy Mooseknuck: They have a really dope Rainier sign in there. I wish to haggle for it but didn't happen. That's the only reason for my 4 star review. They are cool peeps tho! #LOVE

Kale Fousha: Suprising large place. Didn't have time to look at everything but what I saw was really cool.

Aditi Shankar: Супер классное место, разумные цены за тщательно подобранный выбор. Там было намного больше, чем я ожидал, можно потратить много времени на осмотр.

Mr Johnson's Antiques: what do users think?

Namrata Gadkari: Amazing collection!! My sister and I visited the store and left with frames, cameo jewelry and wall decor. Great prices and very warm and friendly staff. 100% revisiting on my next trip to Seattle

Sally Hutton: Went in here on a rainy Saturday and the staff member was very attentive and helpful. Great shop for a look around

Cameron Murray: for having such a cool store and chatting with me!

Kevin Ng: An excellent treasure trove of valuables and stories, nested in the Montlake neighborhood! It is distinctly a classic, small business antique store -- not an antique mall, not a thrift store, but a purveyor of one proprietor's collection of vintage and antique crafts and curios. I haven't made use of the appraisal or estate services, but my friend and I used to visit in person several times to examine the purchasable inventory. We always had lots of fun commenting on the merchandise and narrating potential stories that these items may have found themselves in at one time! The store representative, Coleman, has also been wondrous: always amiable and happy to stay around even after hours talking about the merchandise, regaling us with his stories and knowledge; hopefully, he gets a promotion!

Zach van Schouwen: Nice store with interesting items. Prices were reasonable.

Eric Chiu: Very nice owner, definitely going back soon!

Simone Hatfield: I came in just to browse but left with some tiny beaded baskets and a sterling silver spoon. The owner was so incredibly sweet and was more than happy to open cabinets and answer any questions about the items on display. Everything was priced fair for an antique shop. I highly recommend popping into this place if you have the chance!

Ken Sutherland: This is to Marie Schmidt. Is there any place that makes you happy that you don't leave a foul comment? I have never understood people like you !

Craig Liebendorfer: We love the selection and have even found a few things in the annex, including a cobbler's bench. The people who work here are super cool. Thanks, Matt!

Joshua Welcher: Наткнулся, блуждая по Монтлейку, и я рад, что зашел. Милый маленький магазин, добрый сотрудник и классные маленькие безделушки.

Maayan Haim: Нашли винтажные уникальные рамы по очень хорошим ценам, приятные люди и интересные находки. Настоятельно рекомендуется

Ana Delia Sias: Обязательно вернусь, купила красивые четки и серебряное ожерелье.

Emily Moore: Коулман был так полезен! Цены очень разумные, фантастическое место!

Alyssa Hubbert: , и вы можете сразу оценить его любовь и уважение к тому, что он коллекционирует. Мы постараемся вернуться, когда сможем.

Fairlook Antiques: what do users think?

Joe Perruccio: , maps, posters, tickets, postcards, etc., all with a story or a handwritten note somehow attached to them. Also a handful or other vintage items like bottles, pins, stuff like that.Mike, the owner, knows where everything is, and loves to talk it up. You could easily spend an entire weekend in there just poking around. My pics don’t do it justice… it’s 2-3 big rooms of stuff.Make sure you call for his hours before you go! Sometimes they’re closed for shows and whatnot, as some other salty reviewers have pointed out.

Joseph Wagner: Great place and a huge variety and Mike is really nice and helpful.

Christian Gustafson: I found two old Metsker maps and a 1934 map of the Chicago transit system. My daughter found postcards and other ephemera. Call before you go, I’m going back alone so I can concentrate.

Brian Wiese: Stopped in out of curiosity pre-COVID and was fascinated with the collections of historic photos and prints of Seattle and the region. So much to discover if you have time to browse. Would have to check out the antique paper fairs for more.

Rogue Bombshell: If you're looking for old photos, this place is 99% boxes and boxes of old photos

Jerry Goddard: Not to bsd

K Stubbs: Not a typical antique store. If you are looking for vintage furniture, sports memorabilia, or glassware, you are better off sticking closer to Pike Place Market, or going to Snohomish. However, if historic images, postcards, advertisements, or brochures are of interest to you, you would be hard pressed to find a better store in the region. The selection covers just about any topic imaginable, and the owner is incredibly knowledgeable of that field of interest.

Randy Emory: Great people

John Napier: Great breakfast, great atmosphere!

The Furniture Guy Consignment: what do users think?

Friday Hunt: My review is from the other end. I love his mid- century modern style, when we downsized we consigned several large pieces of furniture and are very pleased at the professionalism there. He is clear, organized, and prices things to sell quickly but also making enough for both parties to be happy with a 59/50 split. He will also consign IKEA pieces if their style fits in, but at a lower price to make sure they will sell. The shower room is always clean, and there is enough space to display all the pieces attractively. All in all, I’m very happy, and if I needed any furniture that type, I would definitely shop there.

Janelle Kidd: They were nice and had cool stuff

Herakles Li: As the name suggests, a fairly big store of furniture and other household decorations. Prices, and most helpfully dimensions are marked on each item. Most things we checked out seemed to be in good condition.

roxane jude: Great for retro furniture and consignment

Oscar Manjarrez: The place has an amazing selection of furniture, some more on the costlier side byt still wonderful. Unfortunately nothing caught my eye to purchase. If I had a bigger place I'd check them out again for some of their bigger pieces.

Jeann'e Pertile: Nice.

Diego Perez: Great prices for high-quality furniture. I have come in to buy most of mine since my move from Texas. You'll find the eclectic pieces you never knew you wanted.David has helped me immensely throughout my time here, making the furniture buying process quick and easy. I couldn't recommend him and this store enough!

Bryan Schoener-Scott: Limited selection but good prices and customer service.

Bhagya Perera: Good furniture for reasonable price

Rob Reid: This is always my first stop when I need something. There are so many great things. They don't always have what I need. But if I can wait, I'll revisit for a few weeks because I always love when I find something here.

Adam Saunders: Man I’m so sad to see this place go. You could wander around here for hours and still not see everything there is to see. There is so much unique furniture and trinkets all over the place. There’s also a ton of vintage clothing to sift through. I’ll miss this place!

Vi Liu: Loved it! Full of fun trinkets and vintage items. Sad they are moving to a new location bit glad they aren't going out of business.Fyi- they are merging with Lander Street Vintage.241 south lander street Seattle Wa

Nayyef Hrebid: Best antique mall you could find a lot of treasure

Craig Liebendorfer: Possibly our favorite antiques store in Seattle. Lots of quality items. Only downside is prices tend to be higher than we'd expect and the shoplifting police can be overbearing.

Denise OToole: Didn't find what I was looking for but enjoyed rummaging around. This was the second time I had been here. One HUGE suggestion: CUSTOMER SERVICE! In other words, if you were a doctor, you would not get good ratings for bedside service. Stop talking to each other when a customer is ready to make a transaction. Put the customer first. You know who you are and if this review surprises you, please know I will return because you have cool stuff, UT I will call you out on poor customer service.

Kyoto Art & Antiques: what do users think?

Catherine Lenox: Twice a year Kyoto Art and Antiques comes to Seattle, stocking a warehouse full with beautiful, affordable Japanese antiques. This is one of my very favorite well-loved traditions, a highly special experience. The people associated with this event are also gracious and lovely. I fully recommend it.

luke adamek: A huge selection of primarily Japanese antiques ranging from wood stools to samurai armor. Lots of potential magical finds in the antique clutter that gives off the vibe of faraway lands. I’d like to say get there on the first day of opening to compete with the people that make it their business to purchase a large portion of the floor within minutes of entering. The ambiance of entering the old brick buildings looking up to see that the buildings have been hallowed is pretty cool. $15 for a sake bottle, $5 for a fan, $2500 for a stone pagoda, and $110 for a timber saw. Prices are reasonable if not the best you can get outside of Japan. Things will sellout or be picked over fast and the hype for Kyoto Antiques only grows each time they open. Out of all the wonderful things to do in the Seattle area, browsing Kyoto Antiques twice a year would have to be put in my number 1 spot.

Randy G: I got many great things. Arigato gozaimasu!@randygtattoo

Peter Liu: This is my first time here. The food is very good. I will come again.

Lyz Kurnitz-Thurlow: If you know it, you love it.

Masako S: Annual event, imported directly from Kyoto. Great treasure hunting twice a year, April and September. Love it.

Morgan Hicks: Great variety of Japanese pieces and artwork.

Keith Cochran: Cool antiques focusing on a variety of Japanese art and furniture. Available only for about 10 days during Spring and Fall. Fair prices. Helpful staff!
