Seattle Athletic Club Northgate: what do users think?

Heather Davis: , lift weights, and run on the treadmill. I also wanted the equipment to be highly available so I didn’t need to wait around, and the whole place to be clean and well maintained. There’s a lot of care and attention Seattle Athletic Club puts into having a clean, comfortable location. It’s always well staffed, there’s always parking, and they communicate with members about upcoming changes. They take care of the big things and the small things like hairdryers, cotton swabs, machines to wring out your swimsuit and bags, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the showers, plenty of lockers with locks, large and small towels, and special social events. It’s a great place to work out - maybe even on those days you don’t quite feel like it.

Robert Hobbs: I had a less than favorable first impression of the club and was prepared to give up and join the nearby gym. Lena, however, had other ideas! My interest in this facility was piqued by her friendly greeting; the abundance of lessons offered and the cutting-edge equipment sealed my choice to join. I definitely recommend  Seattle Athletic Club to everyone!

Cecelia Woodham: I'm an avid supporter of the Seattle Athletic Club! My schedule is filled with a variety of activities, from competitive squash games to lounging by the pool, thanks to five different workouts each week. However, it's what happens after that keeps me coming back time and time again; their nutrition cafe is constantly filled with delectable beverages ideal for refueling after workout. This club has undoubtedly earned ten fingers up for everything from superb facilities to delicious snacks!

Cara Harkey: Discover the secret to pushing yourself through those sluggish days and getting the workout you need - the gym! With its user-friendly equipment and vibrant energy, it's the ultimate motivation booster. And if you're eco-conscious like us, you'll love the idea of an EV charging station available in the parking lot. We can't recommend the Seattle Athletic Club enough for your fitness journey.

Charles Duncan: As a former member who recently rejoined, I can attest that their quality has remained outstanding. In particular, the pool is a major draw for me – and while the new reservation system may have been frustrating at first, I've found it to be a game-changer overall. , I sincerely hope this one is here to stay. Don't miss out on SACNG – it's a highly recommended destination for your fitness needs.

Giovani Wolfe: This top-notch gym has kept members safe and satisfied throughout the pandemic, and now that things are improving, you can once again enjoy their awesome classes and amazing staff. Don't miss out on the ultimate gym experience- join Seattle Athletic Club today!

Chirambo George: Seattle Athletic Club is an exceptional example of Covid protocol implementation, providing an atmosphere that feels completely safe. The staff are consistently friendly and professional. I highly recommend this establishment to all.

Riley Dawson: Despite concerns about gym safety during the pandemic, I have felt nothing but reassured by the club's high standards of cleanliness and the kindness and professionalism of its staff. The locker rooms, showers, and pool area are always spotless and kept in impeccable condition. I cannot recommend this gym community enough. Thanks to the amazing staff at Seattle Athletic Club for making this place feel like home.

Lawrence Fosnick Davis: Lots to do here. Classes of all sorts, 2 swimming pools, sauna, steam rooms, personal training, circuit training, weight room and lots more! They have child care tooThe new addition opened up and is a nice space to do a variety of exercises.New classroom for exercise added bringing the total to three and a ton of new classes! Also, 2 pools, hot tub, sauna and steam room.

Robin Bajra: Local establishment that been around for a long time, keep keeping on. Least amount of the riff raff in any other gym in the Seattle area that I notice, raise the rates please to keep that going, lol.

Matt Coleman: It's a treat to go the gym here. It's nicely appointed and generally not crowded.

Shelley Arreola: atmosphere was too good!

Aaron Collins: Best gym ever. I miss it here so much. The staff was chill and the gym was kept clean. I wish the sauna didn’t close due to covid. Please bring it back.

Rob Lee: A welcoming atmosphere and staff feel good place of gathering and good coffee 😋

Mjs: Kind staff, good facility, coffee on site

Ashley Allan: The building is small and old, but the group exercise classes and staff are the best! Since moving to south King County, I really miss instructors Teresa and Patti. Their classes actually challenge you! I've been to several other group fitness classes at locations in south King County and it's just not the same. Cardio kickboxing with Teresa was the best.

Jessie Smucker: Great gym!

Luca: I work here. There's a pool and a gym, both for weight lifting and for running/ellipticals/etc. There's also a kid's center. The staff is friendly and we'll help answer any questions you have. There are a number of stairs to access each floor, however. There is an elevator that probably fits 1 person or 1 chair if you need wheelchair access

Bree'ana Austin: Been going here my whole life! Very kind staff and all the equipment I need!!

Kim Chi Ngo: . Every month you sign up. There's no guarantee you'll get a spot as it's first come first serve, but current kids get priority registration earlier than non students. So then sometimes you end up picking a bad slot just to try to a good slot next time. Because of that, you may end up with different teachers every time which is not ideal imo for learning to swim. Most of the teachers follow a very set routine plan for the lessons, and don't stray from it even if your kid can do 3/4 things really well and needs to focus on just 1 thing. The price isb$9/lesson and you pay for all the lessons for the month regardless of whether or not you attended. You get what you pay for i guess. That said, there are some staff that are more permanent than others and I've had great experiences with a number of the staff here. My only other gripe is that students in lessons can swim for free and practice during public swim. HOWEVER little kids need adults obviously and the adult is not free when accompanying a student. So I basically can't help my kid practice the skills he's learning without also paying 7 dollars each time.

Jim Lasersohn: Rare find: a 9 lane 25 yard pool in town. Not too hot or cold pool temp. Spacious change and shower room.

John Michael Yasutake: Hidden gem!

Hy Phú: Good

Ania M: Place needs to be updated but my daughter loved her instructors. Fun people working there!

Christopher Guizlo: Fantastic facility for swim lessons for kids.

Georgia Edward: It’s your average community pool- open swim, lap swim, etc.

Queen Anne Pool: what do users think?

Harry: I have seen huge growth in myself since entering the water at Queen Anne Pool One year ago. The pool has transformed me from an awkward swimmer with very little skill to a 50 mile a month aquatic athlete. I greatly appreciate the amazing resource for fitness and health, including their wonderful sauna and the amazing staff all kind, helpful and willing people who really care and work hard to accommodate each and everyone’sNeeds, goals and safety

David Powell: Nice pool for lane swim

Rayna D: Good place

Paul Grandgeorge: Friendly staff and great pool to go do some laps!

Stephanie LaCasse: Get to take the kids swimming. They could use a swimming suit spinner, for drying out the suits when your done.

Chundong Wang: If they provided the hot shower, this would be 5 star! Great location, full size pool!

Geoff Nelson: A bit dated, but works fine for your lap swim. 25-yard pool, 6 lanes, 2 diving boards. Be sure to check the frequently-changing pool schedule before you go.Lessons are quite crowded and can be hit or miss depending on which instructor you child ends up with.

Jorge Vilches: Great staff, and a clean pool!

J.T. Altschull: Love this place. Been swimming here since it opened in 1977.

L L: Nice pool

Kayleah Wheless: Staff is great

Jacob Miner: Great place to bring your kids for swim lessons. They have classes for most age groups, and we started our girl at 10 months.

Helene Madison Pool: what do users think?

Kirk Mason: This is one of my happy places. The water is perfect and the people working there are awesome.

Peter Makosi: My kids enrolled for swimming classes we are excited great pool nice people

Debi Grace: I attend water aerobics and love the instructors.

Shrikant Prabhu: Love this pool for my kids . No need to book in advance but timings can vary all of sudden so call before you go every time

Lucy Pearce: I’m taking adult swim classes here to improve my technique and learn front crawl. Our teacher Oliver is the best! I had to call out sick tonight and they give you a pass to practice at an open swim session. Wish there were more private changing stalls but that’s a small inconvenience. The water is warm too. The front desk person is lovely. And if you are into the nostalgia of going to a pool as a kid in the 80s, this fulfills that.

Robert Finley: Water aerobics class is nice..Good instructor and great location.

Robin B: Great pool

Roberta Gigi Carr: Did my survival class here. Nice and clean.

Chris Turner: Love the people and the pool. The only problem I have is that when the water exercise instructor is called to fulfill lifeguard duties or is out sick we get to the pool only to find that we need to turn around and go home. It's very frustrating. I don't live near the pool so it's an odyssey to get there. They used to let us stay and do our own water exercise at no charge when there was a problem with the class but the last month if you want to do that they still charge which seems unreasonable to me.

Richie Magpayo: Kiddo taking swim lessons here. He loves it. Old facility but still great with an awesome staff of lifeguards, swim instructors, and helpful reception people.Plenty of parking, clean restrooms.

Raymar Maranon: Nice and clean pool! Staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Seattle Athletic Club: what do users think?

Yi Chiang: Great location and amenities! I had a great time as a member of this gym; often taking advantage of the salt water pool and indoor basketball court. The equipment here has definitely seen better days and I eventually transitioned to another gym since that was more important in my book. The crowd here definitely caters more towards the older crowd, which was not ideal for me. However, If you’re looking for a place with many amenities and a great staff, look no further… I couldn’t recommend this place and its staff anymore if lifting isn’t your top priority.

Bradley Patton: For the past few months, I've been a member of this gym, and I can't rave about it enough! With its wide variety of amenities, this gym really distinguishes out from the competition, which is why I joined with no hesitation. There are a few interesting things about this place, including the fact that it's never crowded and the personnel, especially Lucky. My recommendation of this gym to friends has been aided by their encouragement.

Michael Schimke: My renewed enthusiasm in working out can be attributed to my new employment. A SAC membership is a health benefit provided by my employer. I just finished my first week of exercise, and while I'm a little sore, it's in a nice manner. I adore everything I'm learning from the incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming personnel here.

Terry Jung: it's been 1 week, so far it's ok. Ofc it could always be better with better furniture, better lockers, better atmosphere, better whatever but it does the job, it has a ton of various cardio equipment, lots of weights, various classes and can't beat the location. I do think the enrollment fee is a scam especially given how outdated this place is but i didn't have a choice. The pool is outdated and short in length [20 yards] but it is the only one available in this area so i appreciate it. Staff so far has been nice.

Linwood Zimmer: My unforgettable encounter with delectable muffins enhanced the sweetness of my journey to Dallas! I kept going back for more because of their alluring flavors and melt-in-your-mouth textures, which were a pleasant surprise. I gladly brought 12 irreplaceable treasures home because it appeared like everyone in this wonderful city couldn't get enough, making my time in Texas very memorable.

Almeda Carter: . The gym offers almost any type of training you can imagine, such as swimming, martial arts, weightlifting, squash, basketball, and the list goes on. Parking can be free, depending on the time. a first-rate spa and a friendly staff. No issues. This place is fantastic. I wholeheartedly urge everyone to join Seattle Athletic Club!

Archie Davies: We have more than just a gym as SAC downtown members; it has genuinely become our home away from home. This local gym is perfect for any fitness fanatic because it has pleasant staff and no loud music to keep us from exercising. Additionally, they truly make sure you get your money's worth with a ton of free seminars and private sessions accessible at an additional cost. There are undoubtedly many reasons why joining the SAC is so highly recommended, and we consider it an honor to be a member of such an exceptional group.   I highly  recommend  Seattle Athletic Club to everyone!

Freddie Fox: Through the Seattle Athletic Club's cutting-edge online lessons, I was able to continue my training regimen during lockdown and preserve both my physical and mental well-being. Their capacity for quick adaptability and commitment to provide a wide range of options amply demonstrated their value. To anyone trying to stay active and healthy, I highly recommend this group.

Kiara Saunders: I've gone when graduation day comes around once more without fail.  I definitely recommend  Seattle Athletic Club to everyone!

Jamie Whitaker: Explore your family's full potential by taking advantage of the limitless options at SAC! Everyone in your family will be inspired and motivated along the way with a wide range of classes, programs, and events catered to your special objectives and aspirations. Downtown Seattle Athletic Club is where  highly recommended - don't miss out on this game-changing experience!

West Seattle Health Club: what do users think?

Ulyana Tverskoy: This place has a big pool. Nice locker room. Only thing is that my son could not go to the jacuzzi because it was 12 plus! Ridiculous. Everything else is good, though.

Pamela Adams: I was scared of weight lifting as a 60 year old swimmer but took the challenge to work on changing that to have healthy bones. If you want to learn the best form and, lift heavy weights without straining, I highly recommend working with trainer Miriam Taqieddin. She’s young but has hefty experience while being super fun!

TJ Grist: Reasonable prices. They have discounts for local company employees. Only 3-4 squat racks but they recently emailed about adding more. There’s always equipment that needs repair but they communicate pretty well. Huge space, friendly staff.

Alex Carter: Gym is big, lots of everything. The kids club is amazing. All the staff there are super friendly and it’s a great environment for kids. Such a great benefit to members.

Joellie Skiver: I love this gym. It's always clean and I feel comfortable being a woman and going there. That's not always the case at a gym.

PRO Club - Seattle: what do users think?

David De Maria: I have been going to Pro Club for several months now. I typically go in the morning around 9am. The gym is quiet… Not a lot of people. But, enough to make you feel not alone. I definitely get my choice of what machines I want without having to wait. The gym is super clean. The staff is always friendly. The locker rooms are great too. Very clean and organized. There is a wet and dry sauna along with a jacuzzi. showers too. Parking is easy and they validate. So far so good…. I recommend!

Lindsey Warner: Very clean, never crowded, great sauna

Steven Christensen: Great gym, clean facility friendly staff, lots of room and open machines.

Monique Spivey: The staff was very helpful and friendly they help you get your life and body right

Monique Seifert: Awesome community, the coaches are knowledgeable and most importantly the workouts are killer!

Yun Ling: Front desk staff were friendly and helpful! My favorite part was that there are so many cable machines that I almost never had to wait for a cable machine even during the busiest hours. Dumbbells in increment of 2.5 lbs are nice too. There are multiple power racks and 8 squat racks. Wish they would put in a few platforms for squatting and deadlifting as the floor has some give. Also wish the bench press setup would be more updated. Overall I had a great experience and really enjoyed lifting here!

West Seattle Family YMCA: what do users think?

Ka'ohinani Pauahi Warford: Just canceled my membership today.I'm genuinely a little sad about it because if I was choosing a gym simply for the staff, I'd stay with this gym. A huge thank you to those working the front desk, who are some of the kindest and most welcoming people I've had the pleasure to meet. Especially to the three that I'd consider "my" front desk crew, Kamara, Magnus, and Melanie. If I come back to the Y, it will be because of you three. I've definitely spoken to other workers, and they were all super nice. But I didn't interact with them as much as these three, so I didn't get their names.I'd also like to thank the lifeguards working there, since my workout of choice is lap swimming. I wish I learned your names, but it's a bit harder when I'm underwater. One specifically is a taller guy who wears glasses. I'm trans and had several worries about using a gym because of this. But, he was kind to me on the first day I used the pool. And thanks for keeping watch on Black Friday when I was the only person in the whole pool.... And also to the three lifeguards who were working sometime last month when I was the only one in the pool. A little test of will to see if I could get past my own anxieties was fun. So, thanks for being a part of it.My review is 5 stars because of everyone I mentioned above.So. Why I leftI turn 30 in two months. I don't really get why the price for membership would increase for that. There isn't a rationale that makes sense to me, and any explanation that I can come up with is rather closed off to an alternative lifestyle. Plus, people don't automatically make more money with age.Additionally, the hours for lap swim blocks are a little.... wild. Random chunks of time that originally worked out PERFECTLY for me. Only to have them change once the new year started to provide more opportunity to those going to the gym for their resolutions. Once that happened, there wasn't a block that worked for me unless I wanted to cut into my sleep. If your lap swim hours are so restrictive because you don't have the staff to extend it, then hire more lifeguards. Or you could pay them more if you're having trouble finding new hires.Anyway, I switched to the West Seattle Health Club. Their lap swim hours are 5AM-10:30PM and the membership is the same price as I pay now, before the increase kicks in when I turn 30.I liked your pool. It'd be cool to go back. For now, this is what works for me.

Colton Todd: Ballin

Logan Aikas: Staff always friendly, great facility that is clean with lots of equipment for everyone.

Randall Winn: This all-ages, family friendly institution has been my fitness center for more than a decade and will be so for many more.

Sammie Argana: I’ve been going to this Y since I was 18. And the instructors and staff are so friendly and great to the members. Great group workouts and the equipment too we use. And the swimming pool is so great too.

Julie Peckham: Staff was friendly. Pool area was clean and I had a great lap swim workout. It was nice they have a swimsuit spinner.

The Seattle Gym: what do users think?

Stephanie Kardos: Awesome gym!

Joanna Beecher: This gym is chill and everyone is super nice!Love Anthony’s cycle class on Saturday AM and Kari’s REACH class on Sunday.

Tatiana Reyes: Never too crowded and a lot of different machines available

Grace Stephens: The Seattle Gym is an absolute gem. The impeccably clean & maintained space, attentive staff, and abundance of high quality equipment create a welcoming and elevated gym experience for everyone. Not to mention the wide selection of fitness classes led by wonderful instructors every single day. I’ve worked out at an assortment of gyms over the years and TSG stands out beyond comparison. Great community and great location, too. I absolutely recommend TSG to anyone looking for a great gym experience!

Tristan Ingold: This is an amazing gym for a seasoned lifter or someone that is making a workout their news resolution. For Seattle the membership fee is affordable and you get so many perks. Also it’s a month to month membership so they do not lock you into a long term contract. On the perks, they have a sauna, locker rooms, a weight room, cardio room, and they offer tons of classes that come free with the membership!

RobNeir: HIGHLY recommend. Best gym in Seattle. Nice community. Not overly modern like LA fitness which is lame. Much more down to earth family run, clean, good people. Everything you could need including some boxing bags, open space for activities upstairs, plenty of weighs and machines.

Maya L: Very clean inside and super friendly staff! Tons of equipment to choose from, my new go-to

Steve Johnson: Friendly and unpretentious

Prem Kumar Reddy Muvva: Clean and Not that crowded.

Nina V: I love this place. The classes are amazing because the instructors are amazing. They work hard on their routines, they introduce new and interesting elements all the time, and they genuinely care about people in the class. Strongly recommend this place.

Washington Athletic Club: what do users think?

Cheyenne Gillooly: We love the WAC. The community of people that makes up our membership really feels like family. We enjoy the club year round. From the gym to the spa.. to the family activities.. and events that are like field trips for adults.. we love it here.

Valery Oconnell: Best quality!!

Aaron Collins: Hands down the nicest gym I’ve ever been to. Can’t wait to get a membership here when I move back to town. The staff is so friendly and the gym is kept neat I totally love coming here when I visit.

Anna Labadie: . We had a room block at the Inn at the WAC where the majority of our family and friends stayed during the wedding weekend. We loved the amenities and the proximity to downtown attractions and the airport. We can't recommend them enough for your wedding or special event.

Beverly Glassey: I’m not a WAC member because I don’t live close by but I had to write this review. My colleague walked into the WAC this afternoon and was greeted by Ryan. He’s the reason I’m writing this review. Ryan was SO nice, professional, helpful, polite, and happy! He didn’t have to help us but he did. He’s so easy to chat with too!! He is in the perfect position and I can see him moving up with the company with his drive and positive attitude! I hope all of upper management sees this review and acknowledges him for his stellar customer service!!!! Please take extra great care of Ryan because he deserves it!

S.A. J.: The young man at the entry desk wasn't very friendly & didn't really seem to want to be there unfortunately but our service during our private event was amazing. Jesse was very attentive.

Rival Fitness: what do users think?

Haily Holt: , classes 2x per week, and occasionally going in on active rest days for light cardio. As long as you're using all of the benefits, the cost is *well* worth it.Nothing but great things to say about Rival. The gym has a great vibe, the staff is great, and I feel like I'm actually making strides on my fitness goals now.

Christopher Kaczmarek: Fancy but pricey but clean

Braden Nix: Nothing but good things to say about Rival. The staff is wonderful, trainers are knowledgeable and authentic, the facility is always clean, and it’s rarely “too” busy like most gyms can be.Overall, this is the most welcoming gym I have ever been to. The energy in this place is always great. I tried all the other gyms in the area before coming to Rival and they really do not compare. It was a a no brainer the moment I walked in.

Kareem Ali: I started at Rival fitness with the strength squad which helped me learn lifting with good technique, introduced me to friendly people, and helped me go through some rough times since that was right after I moved to Seattle when things were under COVID restrictions, so the place means a lot to me personally. That was over 3 years ago, since then I have been a regular, 4-7 times a week, mostly very early mornings, the owner, the staff, trainers and trainees are very friendly, there is a lot of free weights as well as machines and I have done some powerlifting training, bodybuilding training, cardio, fitness classes, cycling classes, rowing class and a few other things so I think it’s a VERY well-rounded gym where you can find equipment and classes for most training modalities. The one thing I do not like would be when they do group classes on the gym main floor that takes roughly half the space, making it hard for anybody to train during those times. It’s definitely my favorite boutique gym in Seattle, 100% would recommend.

Kyle Good: Sweet a gym that's like not even 5 blocks from my house.

Pure Barre: what do users think?

Helen Yamamoto: I was new to barre when I tried the studio and found the instructors and environment to be super welcoming. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and know their anatomy well, which is great for getting fine-tuned adjustments during class. I'd still be taking classes if I hadn't been forced to move back to CA!

Marketa Novakova: Love Pure Barre! I do the online/virtual classes, and I love the flexibility. You don't really need any equipment, but weights and some bands help get a better workout. I have been to in person classes before, but online classes allow for a busy schedule and can be easily tailored to home. I like that teachers are very positive, encouraging and also share modifications. I think they have figured out a great way to do virtual classes!

Susannah Major: I love this studio! Each instructor I’ve had is patient, encouraging, and very skilled in providing hands on adjustments to target the intended muscle group. This full body work out is the perfect option for my cross training to keep me injury free as a runner. Keep up the great work, Pure Barre Queen Anne!!

Chelsea Palmer: I was super, super on the fence about barre, but then I took a class at Pure Barre and now I'm hooked. I had an amazing instructor who was super helpful during the whole thing and the workout itself is challenging, fun, and worthwhile.

Jeremy Park: Great place to get your ass handed to you. They also do workouts!

Stephanie Grimm: They do a wonderful job with first-timers. A seriously tough workout, even for people who consider themselves very fit. Pure Barre focuses on tiny movements in notoriously weak muscle groups.

bindu gopinath: Oh boy! Real workout for some real people . High energy trainers and super workout .

Ballard Pool: what do users think?

Pepper Harris: When you walk in the chlorine smell is very strong, locker rooms were a little musty not not too bad. Pool itself was fabulous, there was a diving board, a slide and a rope swing. There was a swimming test required to use these water features but it was a simple backstroke across the with of the pool. They also had a very decently sized hot tub.

Lala: Great building and amenities, friendly staff, central location

Carlie Phillips: Basic neighborhood indoor pool. Offers a good range of times for classes, lap swims, and open swim. The hottub/spa is only 2 feet deep. Lockers in bathrooms.

SwimGuru: what do users think?

Nicholas Postiglione: I decided to bite the bullet and go all in on Swim Guru. I wish we did this sooner - it is absolutely worth the cost and effort. My kid was terrified of the pool but in 4 weeks of intense 15 minute lessons he is diving under water and doesn't want to get out of the water. Molly and team have a phenomenal program. This isn't high schoolers leading a swim class in their free time. These are professionals who truly know what they are doing and teach kids to respect the water and the danger it presents. To sum it up - you can spend a year at the YMCA floating your kid around the pool and pretending they are learning something or you can do Swim Guru and actually teach your kids how to survive in the water within a few weeks.

Lindsay S: Our 3-year-old daughter went from being terrified of the water to safely swimming. We've worked with both Molly and Hilary as coaches. They are excellent at what they do and artfully balance building confidence and helping kids work through new/uncomfortable experiences in the water.

Vishal Sethia: , and I can confidently say that she's absolutely exceptional. Stef embodies patience and encouragement like no other. She possesses the remarkable ability to understand precisely where you are in your swimming journey and meets you there, making every lesson feel tailor-made.Stef's motivation is truly infectious, driving you to give your best. What sets her apart is the homework she assigns, which proved instrumental in helping me improve significantly. Her teaching style is remarkable, as she breaks down techniques into easily digestible morsels, ensuring you not only understand but can execute them in the water. One thing you can always count on with Stef is her warm smile, which welcomes you every session and immediately puts you at ease. Thanks to her unwavering support and guidance, I went from having a fear of the water on day one to confidently swimming on my own in just eight classes. At 35 years old, it's an accomplishment I never thought possible, and I owe it all to Stef's expertise and encouragement. She's an absolute gem of a swim coach, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to embark on their own aquatic journey.I would also like to thank SwimGuru that made it possible for me to connect with an excellent swim coach and schedule my sessions based on my availability and comfort.

Christopher Sanford: Brenda was an excellent teacher of me as an adult learner. She was patient, positive, pragmatic.August 2023. Just had four lessons--with Hillary, Brenday, Nick. All were helpful, supportive, constructive.

Hana Cho: Just had our first lesson with Hillary. It was wonderful. Little is afraid of her head going into the water but Hillary was so calm and soothing and the first 15 minute lesson was hard but daughter came out being proud she dunked her head in 5 times. Every kid is different but we feel we needed this method for our pandemic kid as we weren't equipped to teach her ourselves and we are so happy with Hillary. Yes, 15 minute lessons are annoying to drive to and from, but I do see how that delivers the max amount of exertion and mental capacity for my kid. Looking forward to the other lessons. Money very well spent!

Eric Stobin: Helen and Emma are excellent swim instructors! It has been so exciting to see my 4 and 6 year old learn how to swim in just a few classes. The instructors, Helen and Emma, are absolutely wonderful. they both are excellent with their communication skills and are able to keep both boys calm when they are scared or are about to cry. both Coach Helen and Coach Emma have a gift for teaching swimming. It feels like a great investment since we feel it is important to teach water safety at a very young age. both boys can float and swim and attend classes at LA Fitness or Underwater Sports, both places very close to each other on Hwy 99. again, I am extremely impressed with their ability, skills and professionalism to provide quality instruction to our kids. Our kids now love both coaches and look forward to swim class twice a week. we are extremely happy with Swim Guru and feel very lucky to have found such excellent instructors who are great at teaching kids the basics of swimming and floating. It's money well spent and we are extremely happy at Swim Guru.

Candice Boley: take 1:1 lessons at Swim Guru since spring 2021, mostly at Underwater Sports, and also the N Seattle LA Fitness

Rory McAuley: Swim Guru has been a great experience for us and our kids! They are 6 and 9 years old and have made so much progress with their coaches Tiegan and Emma at the Mukilteo location. They have developed positive attitudes toward swimming, improved their skills, and are now able to be safe and confident in the water.

Sandy Tseng: Swim Guru is one of those places that one feels happy to discover and lucky that a place like this exists in the area. Living in a city like Seattle, surrounded by water, my husband and I wanted our kids to learn to swim at a young age. Our son's preschool frequents Green Lake, and it gives us peace of mind to know that he has survival swimming skills. He started taking classes in October 2017, and before the holidays, he had already passed a clothing test. Previously, he was terrified of putting his head underwater, and now he is almost ready to snorkel with us in a few weeks! Earlier this month, he went through a brief period of regression when he was suddenly fearful of swimming one day out of the blue. Coach Carol and Coach Brenda did everything in their knowledge and power to address his fear immediately before it became the new normal. Efforts were made to make swimming fun again by bringing toys back into the picture. They stopped working on new skills and went back to basics. They had me get into the pool with him. Since he connected most with Coach Brenda, arrangements were made for him to have Coach Brenda each time he was scheduled for a lesson. I never even requested the switch, and I don't know if anyone was inconvenienced as a result, but it really helped to have consistency during his struggles. Swim Guru went out of their way for my son to have a positive experience again. It was just over and beyond my expectations, and their dedication to their cause makes their swim program exceptional. Moreover, in my observation, what is just as impressive as their ability to teach swimming skills is the coaches' understanding of a child and his emotional needs. None of my son's cries or fears were dismissed. Brenda kept talking him through it and somehow won him back to enjoy swimming again in less than two weeks. Who can understand the mind of a three-year-old who swims like a fish for months and then cries and declares he doesn't want to swim the next day? Not me, the parent, but apparently the coaches at Swim Guru can. They were so understanding and patient with him in building his confidence back. They even had suggestions about what we could do outside of lessons. These coaches are highly trained and experienced professionals who have gone through rigorous and extensive training. They are not college students working part-time. I'm grateful to the whole amazing team of coaches for their dedication, patience and gentle firmness in their teaching. As a mom who swam competitively in a past life and holds a deep love and regard for the ocean, I've always wanted to share my love of swimming with my son. Now thanks to Swim Guru, I can see that dream becoming a possibility! I would give Swim Guru my highest recommendation without reservation for anyone who is considering swim lessons.

McKenzie Brickl: Amazing - teaches kids safety first, then technique. We are so impressed by everything our girls have learned in a short period of time.

Yuzo Watanabe: Both of our kids learned how to swim quickly with Coach Carol and Kat. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

Seattle University Redhawk Center: what do users think?

MX T.: Yesterday evening 4/9/24 while I was swimming on lane #4 and one side earplug fell inside the pool. I didn't ask for help but a girl who was safeguard came to me and pointed where my earplug dropped. I finally found it. I deeply appreciate that girl, small gesture but bring huge meaningful to me....The pool is very clean and staffs are super helpful and friendly. I can not go anywhere else.

Christian Skoorsmith: Clean, comfortable, and great volleyball. Parking was a little scarce, and concessions were limited and pricey. But for a small sports venue, it is nice.

Cisco Malpartida Smith: Great gym, but keep in mind closed to the public. Must be student, faculty, staff or alumni of Seattle University or approved guest to be able to use facility.

JM Franklin: Had a great time at a Seattle Unv Basketball game. Very helpful staff, also.

BroadwayJoe99: Nice little place. Proper old-school college hoops gym.

Dave Olson: Was just there making a delivery for a show place seemed incredible very nice friendly knowledgeable staff

Lowery C. "Pop" Mounger Pool: what do users think?

J G: One of the best outdoor pools in Seattle. Lots of fun, and always clean.

Yaneth Lovo: Love the pools for the kids

L L: Great place to swim

P DH2: Great pool to come hangout at and swim with my family.

Johnny Ray: Great community pools that is a hit with the kids. The older kids swim in the larger pool while the younger kids tend to stick with the smaller, warmer pool. They have classes for all ages and the staff is friendly.

Laural Miller-Klein: Lovely outdoor swim lessons.

Johana Warrick: This was the very first place I swam when I was a few months old 22 years ago. I haven't been able to leave the water ever since. There is nothing better than the water. I remember taking my very first swim lessons with my 1x1 instructor... Later went to Queen Anne Pool since he had moved there, but still plenty of good memories at this pool

24 Hour Fitness: what do users think?

Angela Y.: is incredible, and if you're going purely for using the facilities equipment, amenities, and trainers it's definitely worth it.They don't offer a lot of classes, but I'd recommend class pass or something of that sort vs being dependent on a gym that is more built for independent workouts and training.

misgna aregay: Great gym to workout

Rev Justin Almeida MDiv: I've been going to this club for around 10+ years. Decent equipment; responsive staff; friendly members. It's still figuring out how to ramp back up post shut down. But I'm still able to get the workout I want and need. Would love to see 24 Hour Fitness put some money in for better cleaning and servicing of equipment.

lowkey.sailor: Nice location. It’s really nice that staff are familiar with my face. Always greet me when I come in. Showers are nice. Go before rush hour because it’s packed. It won’t always be clean and that’s something that will never be achieved and it’s no one’s fault.

Brian Vander Vlies: The manager is the best.

Ava Melnyk: I realized that it was in Seattle.Overall the customer service of the gym is phenomenal. If I lived in the area I would 100% go to this gym.Thank you Clyde the best worker at this rookety old gym.
