My only request would be for a second 24kg bell in the class space, and/or a pair of them in the gym turf area.

Ian Hong: .It is well-equipped, always clean, and the staff and regulars are friendly. This is not an expansive gym, but in addition to the cardio equipment, it has racks, a smith machine, leg press, cable and plate-loaded machines, barbells and dumbbells, and benches. Even for those who are quite serious about their workouts, the equipment should be more than enough to get a great session in. Signup and cancellation were both very painless. Overall, I'd highly recommend this gym.

Alex Maloney: Great coaches and workouts! You never know what the workout is for the day so it kept me from backing out and skipping any days. Ro is only coach I worked with, but he’s fantastic at ensuring proper technique, keeping you motivated throughout the entire workout and making your legs jello. I had 2 shoulder surgeries so modifications and progression of my strength was my main concern when starting at this gym. It only took a MONTH for us working at it for me to get 25lbs over my head for the first time in 2 years. If you put in the work, you will see results!

As long as you're using all of the benefits, the cost is *well* worth it.Nothing but great things to say about Rival. The energy in this place is always great. I tried all the other gyms in the area before coming to Rival and they really do not compare. It was a a no brainer the moment I walked in.

Kareem Ali: I started at Rival fitness with the strength squad which helped me learn lifting with good technique, introduced me to friendly people, and helped me go through some rough times since that was right after I moved to Seattle when things were under COVID restrictions, so the place means a lot to me personally. That was over 3 years ago, since then I have been a regular, 4-7 times a week, mostly very early mornings, the owner, the staff, trainers and trainees are very friendly, there is a lot of free weights as well as machines and I have done some powerlifting training, bodybuilding training, cardio, fitness classes, cycling classes, rowing class and a few other things so I think it’s a VERY well-rounded gym where you can find equipment and classes for most training modalities. The one thing I do not like would be when they do group classes on the gym main floor that takes roughly half the space, making it hard for anybody to train during those times.It’s definitely my favorite boutique gym in Seattle, 100% would recommend.

I was extremely nervous due an ACL surgery about a year prior and being focused on strength over cardio. I have been training with Nate for just over a year now and he has drastically increased my physical and mental strength beyond what I could have ever imagined. He knows your limits better than you do, and takes the time to know where you're at each session, without judgement, so he can tailor the session to you.Besides just Nate, every single person is incredibly welcoming. David De Maria: I have been going to Pro Club for several months now. I typically go in the morning around 9am. The gym is quiet… Not a lot of people. But, enough to make you feel not alone. I definitely get my choice of what machines I want without having to wait. The gym is super clean. The staff is always friendly. The locker rooms are great too. Very clean and organized. There is a wet and dry sauna along with a jacuzzi. showers too. Parking is easy and they validate. So far so good…. I recommend!

Also wish the bench press setup would be more updated. Overall I had a great experience and really enjoyed lifting here!

Edward: It would be remiss to not compliment this gym. I was able to experience this gym thru the day pass and it immediately got me sold to the gym’s amenities. As you can see from my photos, it is a jack of all trades kind of gym. It would try to satisfy all your curiosity depending on the type of workout you feel like doing.Not only that; my experience with staff was amazing. Liz gave me a tour of the place and even accommodated my needs in regard to making sure I was aware I can come in throughout the whole day even when I leave and decide come back.It has my needs in terms of strength training. They have 45s, 35s, 25s 15s, 10s, all the way to 1.25lbs.I was able to fine tune my workout for the day.I have high praises for this gym. If I lived in Seattle and work downtown, I would be a member in this gym in a heartbeat.Notice that it isn’t busy as well? This was on a Saturday.

Dana Cretu: UPDATE: I've seen the company take great strides in the light of recent events and commend their forward thinking to keep everyone safe and healthy. They were amongst the first of many companies to offer creative solutions to protecting the continued health and safety of their clients and staff, offering live remote classes at home, keeping us informed via email, and detailing what steps they were taking to deep clean and sterilize the facility. They've shown that they are proactive rather than reactive, and I wanted to give my thanks.Previous-For location and convenience, zum currently works for us. The people here are friendly, staff and gym goers alike, but there have been too many upkeep issues lately that have really gotten to my partner and I. Namely, the cleanliness of the facility in whole, the poor quality of the towels, the state of the products in the locker room, and other minor things. They have replaced a few machines and added a cold towel mini fridge, but these don't make up for what needs to be changed and upkept - especially the mats and towels. It's also uncommonly warm in this gym, winter and summer alike.

Dylan Rush: Great gym for the variety of equipment and free classes. They have monkey bars, rowing machines, climbing and warrior ropes in addition to all the equipment one would normally expect. Not too difficult to get a squat rack or bench press even at peak hours. My one complaint is that I never attended the classes, and the classes were right next to the cardio equipment and pretty loud and would always happen right around 5/6 pm. But sometimes trainers would play good music so whatever. Locker rooms were pretty clean. Decent sauna. Overall good value.

Julia Hlavacik: I hate the gym, but I love this gym. The owners care about their gym-goers and will learn your name before your free week is over. They learn what works for you and what doesn’t and help you modify. This isn’t a gym with a lot of frills, but they do have some frills that count like a clean locker room and free-to-use mats in the yoga studio. I didn’t like that I had to commit to a certain amount of time when I signed up because my job comes with some chance of relocation, but they have a reasonable cancellation policy if you move more than 50 miles away. It didn’t end up mattering because of my job and I have not wanted to cancel for any other reason either. I’ll be coming back as long as I live in Seattle. We visited while on vacation in Seattle and we will definitely come again on our next trip!Accessibility: Easily accessible, their scheduling app makes picking a workout, time, and payment very easy. It took me less than 5 minutes, very impressed for a non-corporate gym. They had so many class options and times available I had no excuse not to workout. The facility is located on a corner and you can’t miss it, well lit and with lots of lockers and storage areas plus showers if you need them.Workout: Our regular gym is a strength and CrossFit gym and we fit right in. The Strength and Muscle classes we attended met the same needs we work regularly. Kyle is an awesome coach and spent the whole hour moving between all the attendees and assisting with form and modifications to meet each persons needs. The scalability of each exercise meant my wife and I each got a strenuous and worth while workout. They used a huge variety of strength options including kettlebells, TRX, dumbbells, barbells, and calisthenics+plyometrics. Awesome workout.Staff: As stated above, expertly friendly and helpful. From our first time popping in to inquire about drop in availability, to our last class they were a real high light of the experience. Extraordinarily friendly and approachable. They helped us pick out the best options for our schedule and get set up quickly with no hassle.Facility: Modern equipment that is well maintained. Clean, and well laid out. They had equipment I hadn’t seen at larger gyms including weight scaling options that you really have to look for if you want them, such as clip on weights for intermediate settings.

The trainers provide a perfect balance of encouraging you to do what feels right for your body, but also pushing yourself to discover what you’re capable of. greg bear: , kinetic exercise / body-weight exercise, banded stuff like you'd do in PT, etc. There's new movements added all the time, keeping it very fresh. It's light on traditional cardio - which is great - strength training is much harder to do on your own I think w/o a good coach watching.There are personal trainers available also, but I've really enjoyed the small group training. Classes are kept small, never more than 10 people, so are getting technique adjustments and personal attention, help with weight selections, mods if needed. I'm always sore, but recoveries are quick - they don't let me overdo it - and also don't let me underdo it

Kacie Stovall: I have been attending the 8x/month small group training classes since 2021. The work outs are so thoughtfully curated and the small class sizes ensure the trainer is able to assist each individual, no matter their skill level. I usually attend Kyle's classes and the high level of expertise is obvious. He knows exactly why one exercise is paired with another and the benefit of each small variation in movement. Even the warm ups and cool downs change daily to match the movements performed. More than that, they care about your safety and your progress. Both Matt and Kyle, regardless of who is leading the class, will often assist me with correcting my form or choosing an appropriate weight that challenges me. I would recommend this gym for absolutely anyone!

Demco Fitness: what do users think?

Tamie Callahan: I started working with Sonja about two years ago. I'm 70 years old. My goal was to build upper arm strength and make sure I was steady on my feet. I did Sonja's intensive introduction course and then continued on for about a year and a half. Sonja is awesome. Her instincts are excellent with regard to the type of exercise I needed and how to make adjustments. Today I've got my own routine and go to my gym three times a week for a shorter workout. And I feel great. You can even feel the muscles in my arms, which I never had before. I highly recommend Sonja's program. For someone like me who was never interested in weight training before, Sonja was the perfect solution. I looked forward to going to the gym with her and still do. I will be forever grateful for her guidance. Is it intimidating for a 70 year old woman to join a gym with a bunch of young people? A little. But in the end, I was hoping that I could inspire them. You're never to old to learn how to take care of your body. Thank you, Sonja.

Eric Schuman: Demco fitness is the BOMB. The trainers will work with you to accomplish your goals no matter what they are. Maybe more importantly, Demco is a family. The trainers make a point to introduce everyone to each other and there is tremendous support. Best gym in Seattle.

Gina Day: I have been training with Roland for two years, and at Demco fitness the last one. Prior to working with Sonja and Roland, I had never touched a kettlebell or barbell. Getting started on a fitness journey can seem daunting, but with their technical expertise and encouragement I’ve overcome a lot of those fears and picked up a bit of muscle along the way.The group fitness classes have become my daily escape where I can separate from the stress of work and focus on self improvement. Sonja and Roland have cultivated a group of like minded individuals who like to lift heavy things together, but also laugh and celebrate each others accomplishments.I’ve made the most progress in personal training sessions. Roland has done a great job at tailoring my programs to what ever goal I have for that season of life. There’s always an emphasis on safety and education, which I really appreciate. Neba Zaidi: I've been training with Coach Ro for over a year. This gym is phenomenal. Coach Ro takes his time to support each individual during group fitness- he breaks down the movement pattern, makes individual adjustments, and is a great motivator. As a beginner, I felt very welcome to the gym community who are regulars and consistent with Ro. They also help with identifying areas of growth and are fun to be around. Everyone has a growth mindset that is motivating to be around.

Transform 180 Training - Belltown: what do users think?

Mo Nasr: I have started training with Wolfgang for 3 weeks now.Wolfgang has been a great coach. he is very attentive during workouts and have helped me with helpful feedback to slowly fix the muscle imbalance and to be able muscle isolation during workouts. He came up with a custom plan for my goals and has provided interesting and fun cardio plans than just using the treadmill.

Bo: I had Keanu as my personal trainer. He is very kind and patience. I would highly recommend this gym and have him as a personal trainer. I will tag my friends about this.

James is an excellent personal trainer: he is extremely attentive during workouts, provides helpful feedback and suggestions to improve form, comes up with new and well thought out routines to keep things interesting, and pushes me to work hard without compromising safety.I have never enjoyed exercising and historically quit after two or three months, but working with James has motivated me for the first time, as his energy and cheerfulness make it much easier to show up and get through the sessions and I can feel I’ve become noticeably stronger. James is also very knowledgeable about muscle anatomy: thanks to the exercise plan he tailored for me I was able to significantly reduce longstanding upper back and shoulder pain. Carol Wiederrecht: I am a 66-year old client of the Belltown branch of Transform 180. It’s an outstanding place to get strong.The equipment is great, and a good variety so you’ll never get bored. But the best part of the gym is the trainers. My trainer Rachel challenges me, encourages me, and keeps me motivated to do more. The few times I had a substitute, the fill-ins were great too.I never thought I would find myself in a weight lifting gym. But the people at Transform 180 made me feel like one of the team.

P G: Started training a few weeks ago with Keng at the Belltown location. Very good experience of training and learning new techniques to get stronger. Every training session leaves me feeling more energetic and motivated. Friendly staff and great ambience.

Andrei Anashkin: Where to begin? I’ve been training at Transform 180 for a year and half, and I couldn’t have asked for a better personal training experience. The facilities are superb, a large variety of equipment for targeted exercises. My trainer Rachel has been fantastic, challenging me, shaping my goals and working to help me achieve them, and with a friendly personal touch that has me looking forward to my sessions each week. 6/5 highly recommend.

Grace Stephens: The Seattle Gym is an absolute gem. The impeccably clean & maintained space, attentive staff, and abundance of high quality equipment create a welcoming and elevated gym experience for everyone. Not to mention the wide selection of fitness classes led by wonderful instructors every single day. I’ve worked out at an assortment of gyms over the years and TSG stands out beyond comparison. Great community and great location, too. I absolutely recommend TSG to anyone looking for a great gym experience!

Tristan Ingold: This is an amazing gym for a seasoned lifter or someone that is making a workout their news resolution. For Seattle the membership fee is affordable and you get so many perks. Also it’s a month to month membership so they do not lock you into a long term contract. On the perks, they have a sauna, locker rooms, a weight room, cardio room, and they offer tons of classes that come free with the membership!

RobNeir: HIGHLY recommend. Best gym in Seattle. Nice community. Not overly modern like LA fitness which is lame. Much more down to earth family run, clean, good people. Everything you could need including some boxing bags, open space for activities upstairs, plenty of weighs and machines.

Corinne Voorhees: Since starting at Local Fit my experience has been nothing but positive. Working out with a trainer in a larger gym always caused some discomfort, not to mention all the machines or free weights felt overwhelming. Eventually I would fizzle out in the spaces because I never felt comfortable or I would see others and compare my progress to theirs and feel overwhelmed and lose motivation.
When I initially visited Local Fit, I was happy to see it was a smaller, more intimate space. It felt approachable and peaceful, like a really nice at home gym, with all the essentials. During the initial consultation, we spoke through my goals, my preferred availability, and available trainers. Immediately the prospect of working with Yevhenii seemed like a great fit and our availability aligned perfectly.
Over the last few months I was able to get started and within a short period of time could feel the genuine results. Yevhenii explains the motions, what they are targeting, and gives alternatives or variations based on my needs/ability. I feel comfortable in the gym and also really motivated because I can make progress in my own time.
I absolutely recommend this space to anyone who has felt that same intimidation at other gyms and wants to start of progress their fitness journey. I also highly recommend Yevhenii, as his approach is fantastic and whether you’re starting back at day 1, like me, or a more advanced athlete, his knowledge of various workouts and motions can meet you where you are.

Edoukou Assouan: I had a great experience training with Lo at Local Fit! I felt heard and encouraged throughout my time training with her. I gained a lot of knowledge about body mechanics and workouts that would work best for me and my goals!I definitely recommend Local Fit, it was really helpful for me as a beginner to strength training! Z Zhao: Love the experience here! With my previous experience with a few other trainers back in NYC, instructors here are the best! Shout out to Chassi, Chelsea and Trent! They pays attention to details, from warm-up, engage certain part of muscles, safety. Professional, highly efficient, and offers the most constructive guidance. Chassi has given tremendous help to achieve my personal training goal.

Nick Watkins: Doing something like CrossFit can be very intimidating, especially when you are a big person, but the team at Riot are super encouraging and adapt work outs to where you are at.

The coaches and members were welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I now drop in a couple times a month. The workouts are always challenging, but the skilled coaches can modify the workout to fit your needs. The atmosphere is supportive and the space is well laid out. If I lived in Seattle I would certainly be a full time member. Working out at Riot is always a highlight of my trips.

Transform 180 Training - SLU: what do users think?

Cam Bell: Transform 180 SLU…Great 2-level, all-hours gym with all the right equipment. Gets busy but never over crowded. Excellent atmosphere. Parking is nice. Trainers are knowledgeable and fun. Consistently upgraded and maintained.

Marilyn Weissman: Just some feedback for Trainer Kari..she is superb. The routine she gives me is one I can do although it is really, really hard for me. She has a planned format and time is valuable for both of us. Cannot recommend her enough.

Tony Sohal: Great facility with friendly trainers. They just expanded and added a lot of equipment. You have plenty of space for hiit/crossfit type workouts as well as strength workout with 150 Ibs DBs. Great gym to go to

Stephanie Xie: Love the Pilates classes here! The instructors are great about correcting your form, giving different options, and explaining the moves so you don’t injure yourself. Out of all the studios I’ve tried I like the Pilates here the best!

Swechha Ghimire: This studio and the instructors are awesome! Sometimes the Pilates classes at studios can be super chaotic and demanding but I feel like the classes at Tribe are challenging but manageable!! The instructors are also really nice and explain how to do positions well! Sometimes the music isnt my fave but thats really my only complaint!

Jessica: has been super great at what they do and they always jump in to help correct my form when needed in a friendly and nonjudgemental way. I can already feel myself building strength and actually look forward to working out rather than dread it. The strong and lean class in the back room is also a great circuit based class using traditional weights, and I switch it up between that and the reformer light class throughout the week!

A community of awesome people who work hard? You bet. The workouts at Accelerate are challenging and the atmosphere is awesome. Can’t recommend it enough!

Elizabeth Kakos: Accelerate is the best! The different class formats give you a great balance of strength and cardio training throughout the week. The coaches are knowledgeable and program well thought out workouts. They will definitely push you and challenge you, but will never push you beyond what you are comfortable with. They give great feedback to ensure that you are preventing injury and getting the most out of the work you are putting in, and they are happy to modify if needed. Last but certainly not least, is the amazing community. Accelerate members are the most fun, competitive, and hardworking group around. I wouldn’t want to train anywhere else!

Susan Burwick: is my favorite And is a team based work out that generally incorporates a lot of cardio with other exercises in between. Regardless of the class, you will not be disappointed.

Lindsay McFarland: Accelerate is truly one of a kind! I was immediately drawn to the community and the challenge of their classes. I love having the mixture of conditioning and strength. I used to only do cardio but have noticed a huge difference in adding in regular strength classes. I also feel much more confident lifting thanks to all the coaching on form-the coaches take the time to meet you where you are at and are so encouraging. Can’t recommend this gym enough!

Ashley Edwards: While it may feel intimidating at first, please don't let that deter you. Accelerate is the absolute best workout I've ever experienced. I constantly find that I'm challenged in new ways, never hitting a plateau, always working towards something new. And while many class-style workouts can sometimes feel isolating, this is by far the best community out there. Cheering one another on through strength, classic, and especially maximum output days -- these are my people and I'm so so SO happy to have found this place.

Rosalie Corrigan: I have been to quite a few gyms in the area and accelerate goes above and beyond any others I have tried out. Brandon and the team have the best programming with the perfect mix of conditioning and strength. I never lifted before joining accelerate and can feel the difference adding in heavy weights has done for my overall power and endurance. The coaches give such great cues and tips on form so even if you are new to certain exercises they make sure you are doing it safely. The community at accelerate is also incredible. I always leave the gym feeling stronger from the workout and happier because of the encouraging and hard working people around me. It’s an amazing workout that leaves you exhausted yet always wanting to come back for more. Definitely check it out!

Jeff Edwards: The programming is top notch. The challenging workouts are balanced with encouraging coaches who help each member train at the right level for each individual. Three different class formats all help develop fitness, boost endurance, and build strength. Classes often feature a team element, encouraging interacting with the fun community of members. I've gotten stronger, fitter, and made some cool friends along the way. Definitely recommend checking out this gym!

Daren Bell: program that is the perfect mix of strength training, HIIT and cardio training. Not to mention the awesome Accelerate community they have built. This place has been an absolute game changer for me. After suffering through a severe back injury December 2018, I needed something to kick start my fitness regiment again. I started Accelerate in April of this year and I can honestly say that I am now in the best shape of my life. 15lbs lighter, more endurance than I have ever had, and my back issues and other problem areas are essentially a thing of the past. The Accelerate family has welcomed me with open arms, and there is no other gym I will work out in. I'm all in.P.S. MOT

Lindsay Griffin: I’ve been going to Academy Athletics for over 3 years now and absolutely love it! Highly recommend if you are looking for a group fitness class. The classes themselves have a great mix of cardio and strength training. There is a nice variety of equipment in the gym and no two days are identical so you’ll never get bored of the workout.The trainers and Lionel are all super supportive, kind and helpful. They’ll help correct your form, create modifications if you need it and push you to do your best. It’s a fun and friendly environment with a mix of people at different fitness levels. If you are looking to get in shape or stay physically active you should definitely check out Academy Athletics!

Madhukar Murali: I completed the 6-week challenge and won! Lionel's meal plan along with the quick 45 minute workout's are a beautiful combination to start your fitness journey. The first 6 weeks are an amazing journey that will make you realize how simple it is to achieve your fitness goals! A meal plan is devised for your individual needs with a recipe list. And of course, Lionel is available to answer any questions you might have with regards to it. I can personally vouch for the 6 weeks challenge - I went from 14% body fat to close to 12% and developed strength along the way.I can go on and on why Academy is one of the best places for you to join - not just for the workout aspect, but for feeling positive too! Do it! Just do it!

Lohit: A fantastic neighborhood gym! Friendly staff, knowledgeable personal trainers, a wide range of classes, and well maintained equipment. Noah is a great personal trainer to work with and achieve your fitness goals.

Trey Harnden: Recently joined. Fair price for the gym. Lots of free weights and machines.

Frank Lim: . Wish the treadmills went faster than 12mph and 15% incline though. Equipment they do have is usually in working order and not out of service for long. We don't do group-ex so can't speak to quality of those classes, though they are there, for both spin and yoga/HIIT/Zumba/etc.

Norwick Lee: Cloth and liquid available for wiping equipment down, liked the classes, never too crowded to do workout I wanted to do and had all the equipment I needed for PT and strength training, WASN'T DIFFICULT TO CANCEL when I stopped being near Ballard, borrow a lock system gave me peace of mind, convenient to shower. Just all around a decent gym.

Jade Levinson: My partner and I go 3-4 times a week. Amazing value for the pricey neighborhood it’s in. Basic membership allows for visits 7 days a week during front desk hours, equipment is always in good condition, and other members are always very respectful about wiping down equipment. I worked with personal trainer Lillian Glover who helped me learn proper form for squats and deadlifts which really enhanced my lower body workouts.

GINNY GAGNON: I appreciate it's a family-owned and run business -- the owner is always cheerfully there among the happy members. The employees are friendly and helpful, and the equipment is kept in excellent condition. The ladies’ dressing room is always neat and clean with complimentary toiletries. There is a comfortable and relaxing reception area where you can chat on your cell phone or check your emails. Reasonably priced parking permits seal the deal in this one-of-a-kind health club!!
