They make up some TOUGH workouts but also connect with the members to ensure there is good form and community during the time there.As we start back with COVID they are being very careful, safe, and smart about how workouts continue with all health standards being considered and enforced.Highly recommend checking this place out, once I tried it I never wanted to leave.

A community of awesome people who work hard? You bet. The workouts at Accelerate are challenging and the atmosphere is awesome. Can’t recommend it enough!

The coaches are knowledgeable and program well thought out workouts. They will definitely push you and challenge you, but will never push you beyond what you are comfortable with. They give great feedback to ensure that you are preventing injury and getting the most out of the work you are putting in, and they are happy to modify if needed. Last but certainly not least, is the amazing community. Accelerate members are the most fun, competitive, and hardworking group around. I wouldn’t want to train anywhere else!

Lindsay McFarland: Accelerate is truly one of a kind! I was immediately drawn to the community and the challenge of their classes. I love having the mixture of conditioning and strength. I used to only do cardio but have noticed a huge difference in adding in regular strength classes. I also feel much more confident lifting thanks to all the coaching on form-the coaches take the time to meet you where you are at and are so encouraging. Can’t recommend this gym enough!

Ashley Edwards: While it may feel intimidating at first, please don't let that deter you. Accelerate is the absolute best workout I've ever experienced. I constantly find that I'm challenged in new ways, never hitting a plateau, always working towards something new. And while many class-style workouts can sometimes feel isolating, this is by far the best community out there. Cheering one another on through strength, classic, and especially maximum output days -- these are my people and I'm so so SO happy to have found this place.

Rosalie Corrigan: I have been to quite a few gyms in the area and accelerate goes above and beyond any others I have tried out. Brandon and the team have the best programming with the perfect mix of conditioning and strength. I never lifted before joining accelerate and can feel the difference adding in heavy weights has done for my overall power and endurance. The coaches give such great cues and tips on form so even if you are new to certain exercises they make sure you are doing it safely. The community at accelerate is also incredible. I always leave the gym feeling stronger from the workout and happier because of the encouraging and hard working people around me. It’s an amazing workout that leaves you exhausted yet always wanting to come back for more. Definitely check it out!

Jeff Edwards: The programming is top notch. The challenging workouts are balanced with encouraging coaches who help each member train at the right level for each individual. Three different class formats all help develop fitness, boost endurance, and build strength. Classes often feature a team element, encouraging interacting with the fun community of members. I've gotten stronger, fitter, and made some cool friends along the way. Definitely recommend checking out this gym!

Daren Bell: program that is the perfect mix of strength training, HIIT and cardio training. Not to mention the awesome Accelerate community they have built. This place has been an absolute game changer for me. After suffering through a severe back injury December 2018, I needed something to kick start my fitness regiment again. I started Accelerate in April of this year and I can honestly say that I am now in the best shape of my life. 15lbs lighter, more endurance than I have ever had, and my back issues and other problem areas are essentially a thing of the past. The Accelerate family has welcomed me with open arms, and there is no other gym I will work out in. I'm all in.P.S. MOT

The instructors are fantastic -- focused on positivity, quality instruction, and modifying to meet individual goals and abilities. I had never even put on boxing gloves before, but found the vibe from staff and other participants to be super welcoming and supportive -- zero intimidation factor here!! The workout is well-rounded between strength and cardio, and it flies by with the floor/bag segments. I use these classes as cross training for long running races and mountaineering expeditions, and I have been extremely happy with what Rowdy has brought to my overall fitness. Can't say enough good things about my experience here. Strongly recommend to anyone who wants to try something new and add a bit of fun to their workout routine!

Jennifer Wesson: SSP is the first gym I've been to where I have felt truly safe and welcome. I come as I am and I don't feel like I'm wearing the wrong thing or I'm too old or too big to be here. I have made faster and more impressive gains in strength and confidence here than anywhere else. The coaches really know, I mean KNOW, their stuff and are always able to provide accommodations and are quick with encouragement. I am so thrilled to have found this small but mighty gym.

Amy Muth: I LOVE this gym!!! I joined a few months ago, and I have been so impressed with the knowledge and care of all of the staff members. There are trainers with advanced degrees and advanced certificates, a physical therapist, and a dietician on staff, all of whom meet people where they are. It was important to me to go to a gym that did not push fad or extremely restrictive diets, and they don’t. It is entirely up to you as to whether you work with their nutritionist or not, and the advice they do provide via their newsletter or opt-in meetings is nutritionally and scientifically sound. They are body-positive, their workouts are well-designed to avoid injury, and are very effective. I’m really impressed with the time that goes into designing individual personal training plans and how they scale up over time. And, as someone who has had a sprained ankle and two knee surgeries, they truly incorporate exercises that build muscle strength designed to help keep my knee and ankle healthy, much like my former physical therapist did. And a small thing, but—I really appreciate how they don’t blast loud music during the workouts! I look forward to my workouts because the trainers always have such positive attitudes, they go by quickly, and I always feel great afterwards. Thanks, SSP!

Megan Christenson: I can't speak highly enough about SSP. I joined their trial 4 months ago after a decade of going to big box gyms and using at-home workout apps and ultimately giving up or not seeing results I wanted. I finally took a chance on SSP and it's the best decision I've ever made for my body and mental health. Each Personal Training or Strength/Endurance class focuses on full body mobility, strength, form, and balance. Every single workout is a 10/10 and I look forward to coming in every day - something I never thought I'd say. It's also such a convenient small gym to join if you have a busy schedule. I own a business and work from home so my schedule is random and SSP's time slots are so vast that I can always find a convenient time to come in.Another wonderful part about SSP is the people. The trainers are so kind, helpful, and personal with you so you don't feel like just a customer. They're also extremely smart and keen to watching and adjusting your form. All of the members are friendly and supportive as well, they even do monthly happy hours! It's clear that community is in SSP's core values.The last thing to add is that people usually start going to a new gym to see results in their body, which admittedly was mine as well, but the biggest, most pleasant surprise I've had is how in love with the process I've fallen. It's fun to see results but feeling good and being excited to move my body everyday has surpassed my initial expectations.

The coaches are by far the best when it comes to professionalism, caring about and educating members , and investing in the health of our community. While traveling, I recently experienced a more classic gym setup. 90% of the exercise machines were set up for men by men. I know my way around workouts, but I felt overwhelmed and wanted to get out as soon as I could. It gave me so much gratitude for my gym. SSP is the polar opposite. I would classify SSP as a ‘mindful, inclusive gym’. Majority of the classes include people in their 20s to 60s+ with a healthy mix of women and men. Awkward and frustrating at first when I was starting to change what I ate, Britt was always available to answer questions and listen to my feelings and feedback.

It's a really positive environment, and I'm really happy with the results.I started going to SSP for general health improvements, but also hoping that it could help with hockey. I recently got back into hockey at 40+ after 20 years off, and I found that my quads, especially, didn't have the strength to finish out the games in good form, and I was also getting muscle-strain injuries fairly often.Since joining SSP, my strength is better, so I'm finishing games with the same form that I start with, my flexibility is worlds better, and I haven't had an injury since. I set a goal for myself of competing in a higher division of hockey, which means keeping up with even faster, younger players, and I've been able to make that happen this year. Highly recommend SSP!

Becca Kretschman: I’ve come to this gym for over five years. As a former regular gym rat and cycle class person, this is a far superior experience, product, and community. I was super intimidated by CrossFit but Rohan and all of the coaches are so welcoming and knowledgeable. Any workout is adaptable for all body types, ability, and injury. I’ve even moved across the country and maintained my membership so I can attend classes virtually. The workouts are great, but the people are what really make this place special.

Soo Yi: I’ve been a member of this gym for about a year and absolutely love it! The coaches are great. I’ve always been active but was intimidated to focusing on lifting weights. Everyone is so friendly and there is a huge community here at this gym.

While we're all looking forward to being back in the gym in person, I have been able to stay more active than anyone I know because of the hard work of Rohan and the coaches at EBCF. I think anyone in Seattle interested in a solid fitness community should check them out.

Andria Hansen: I love the Elliott Bay Community Fitness at home workouts. They are relatively short but are high intensity which is perfect when trying to squeeze it in while the kiddos are napping. I like how every day is different and how the workouts are thoughtfully designed to work every part of your body throughout the week. I have been doing them for about a month and have already noticed changes in my body. My legs have never been stronger!

Tom Peled: HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dropped in from Spain for a week of meetings. Came for one WOD and enjoyed it so much that I automatically made a week pass! Very well equipped! Professional Staff! One of the best programming I've seen! Still go to their website to get inspired for WODs in Madrid.

Then I would rest for 3 min and go back on the bike for 60 and rest for 2 min etc. During the time that I would rest Jeremy worked with me to visualize the birth center just like an athlete would visualize making that kick or throw.Until Bumpfit class, I had no idea this type of training existed for soon to be mothers. He's a fitness geek, so he is always trying to learn more about fitness; he listens to you, and tailors your workouts to help you reach your goals; he's a great teacher, and is able to clearly explain exercise movements and how they will help you. Even if you know a lot, you can benefit from his guidance.I really enjoy the small group fitness classes he teaches. I've attended sessions with clients of varying fitness and ability, and Jeremy always creates a safe, friendly, and fun environment to exercise in.The gym itself is stocked with a variety of new exercise equipment: tons of free weights, kettlebells, VIPR, an agility/turf section, TRX, heavy ropes, sleds, etc., etc. You won't get bored!

Hunter Hughes: that are great for a mid-day full body workout that I can take at lunch time. They have more classes, at the beginning and end of the day, that will be good once I build up my fitness level a bit more. I completely recommend trying it out!

And the best part is you can get them wrong as many times as you want.Finally, strongly recommend the F45 challenge! There are three weekly challenge super fun to compete on, a bingo that runs through the last week, and in body scans tell you exactly how much muscle mass you gained, and fat percents you dissolved.

The amazing owners and staff are wholly dedicated to providing the best possible experience for members, even during quarantine.During COVID, they've been innovating hard. They offer equipment rentals, coach-led Zoom calls, socially distanced outdoors workouts, group-led online classes, daily workout videos to complete on your own time, and a library of recordings to help you perfect your form at home. Plus they still offer one-person classes according to state guidelines. The whole gym is as squeaky clean as a gym in the SoDo District can possibly be. It's a COVID-safe, challenging, supportive, encouraging environment that makes me want to go back several times a week just to feel happy. I've gained a lot of muscle and lost a lot of inches! In short, I recommend this gym unreservedly.

This past week, I was able to train with him again, and remembered why I keep coming back. Coach Sokol and the FuelHouse team have rigorous classes, but the way they train and coach is detailed and helpful for those that have minor or major experience with kettlebells. The coaches kept me motivated, and encouraged me even when I thought I couldn't do it. I love that you can show up to any and all classes , and do your best, for that day, and it can be different day to day. In the same class one person might only be doing body weight and another massive weight, and there is no judgement or comparison. Show up as you are and do your best! UPdate 12/30/2021I have been a member since day 1 and feel so supported. No matter how my body feels and what injuries I may be nursing, the coaches offer great modifications and advice.I can't imagine that there is another gym in the world that could have stepped up like FH and its coaches have during this "Stay at Home" period. I have had 0 excuse for not continuing my workouts. The coaches have really shown up with learning new technologies and offering so many modifications for all abilities and access to equipment. I sometimes even talk back to the recorded video when I am working out, that is how real they are! AND in the midst of all of this, the physical gym had to be moved and the new one built out! Anissa Sangster: I first tried F45 back in early 2020 when studios were just starting to open up again. I moved away from the studio I used to go to, and hadn't been in a few years. I recently started going again and have been loving it. My favorite days are the strength and the hybrid strength and cardio days. I can tell I'm getting so much stronger even after just a few weeks of consistency, and the coaches are great at pushing you the extra bit. I can't wait to continue on my F45 journey and see how much stronger I can get!

I do not want to create my own workouts, and need a class schedule to get me to show up. This gym's bit is the emphasis on community building - extroverts will tend to make friends in any class, while introverts benefit from choosing the same class time with regularity. They do a heartrate monitor with membership for an element of gameification that I really liked before I accidentally sent my monitor through the wash. Highly recommend

After having a wakeup call from my doctor, I decided that I had to act immediately. Working out with a trainer in a larger gym always caused some discomfort, not to mention all the machines or free weights felt overwhelming. Eventually I would fizzle out in the spaces because I never felt comfortable or I would see others and compare my progress to theirs and feel overwhelmed and lose motivation.
When I initially visited Local Fit, I was happy to see it was a smaller, more intimate space. It felt approachable and peaceful, like a really nice at home gym, with all the essentials. During the initial consultation, we spoke through my goals, my preferred availability, and available trainers. Immediately the prospect of working with Yevhenii seemed like a great fit and our availability aligned perfectly.
Over the last few months I was able to get started and within a short period of time could feel the genuine results. Yevhenii explains the motions, what they are targeting, and gives alternatives or variations based on my needs/ability. I feel comfortable in the gym and also really motivated because I can make progress in my own time.
I absolutely recommend this space to anyone who has felt that same intimidation at other gyms and wants to start of progress their fitness journey. I also highly recommend Yevhenii, as his approach is fantastic and whether you’re starting back at day 1, like me, or a more advanced athlete, his knowledge of various workouts and motions can meet you where you are.

However, in all the dozens of glowing reviews that Nev has accumulated here, I see only a few mentions of the nutrition aspect of her training, so I figure I'll provide some more details here.Nev's nutrition philosophy, as I understand it, has a few key points:1. Management of blood sugar. You don't want your blood sugar spiking and crashing throughout the day. High glycemic index foods are discouraged.2. Disciplined timing of meals. Meals are deliberately spaced apart; snacking is strictly limited; no eating after 6pm.3. Balanced macros. Every meal will have a protein, a carb, and a salad. Portion sizes are adjusted based on your goals and the results you're seeing.4. Clean foods. Nev is highly skeptical of processed foods, food additives, and so forth. She can also be picky about methods of preparation

Vinh Le: I've been working with Nev on and off for over a decade. I still do reach out to train with her whenever I need a bit of motivation. She taught me lot about how exercise and diet go together, and use that knowledge to reach my fitness goals.I've never been a a fan of exercise/fitness, but Nev's positive approach to training really makes it fun and motivating to where i actually look forward to my workouts. Lindsay Sale: Aspire has been such a wonderful place to get back on my fitness journey, training with Julia is amazing but the atmosphere over all is great! For someone not used to heavy lifting and strength training it’s a judgment free zone, where everyone’s just there to be their best. Thanks Aspire community!

jason yen: Nice gym. Clean, lots of weight lifting equipment. There’s some cardio stuff like a couple treadmills and stationary bikes, but this is a lifting gym. I’m a cardio guy, but my wife started going here and convinced me to try it out with a trainer. Owner and trainer Julia developed a work out specifically focusing on my goals and it’s pretty good. Your mileage may vary, but I personally like it.

Grayson Chao (he / him): IMO, this is the best gym for strength & conditioning work in Seattle. They get all the details right: everything is always clean, equipment is well-positioned to maximize use of space without anything getting in the way, and the 24-hour access code is a godsend for people like me with weird schedules and helps to spread out attendance such that there's rarely a wait for any equipment. Although some very advanced athletes do train here, I didn't find the atmosphere intimidating or judgmental. Actually, as a novice lifter, I was welcomed and encouraged by both staff and the other members from day one. The location right off Aurora is pretty convenient too, with both a dedicated parking lot and plenty of overflow parking in the nearby residential streets.

I'm not the most social gym goer but everyone has been kind, and the trainers have helped me find and work with all the equipment. It has a great variety of cardio equipment, plyometrics space, stretching area, and the olympic lifting equipment. Enough space that I never have to wait for anything, but its not so big as to feel like a commercial mega gym. I highly recommend this gym if youre looking for one - hours are great also so you can fit working out into your schedule. Thanks Deedee!

Chris Pittack: "This Must Be the Place" - from the day I walked thru the door I have been super impressed by this home away from home. The folks who workout at 777 are passionate about fitness, the community is incredibly inclusive and the instructors are second to none. As an aging athlete the coaches watch me closely while providing the guidance and insight I need to not only get stronger but prevent injury. My skiing and sailing have seen marked improved thanks to Taylor and her team.

Zoe Delain: AND tiered pricing?! I'm not sure it gets better than that. This place is great for all levels - I never worry about not lifting heavy enough or not being able to do certain movements. Crossfit can have the rep for being cut-throat and exclusive but the vibe of this place is the opposite. Everyone is wildly encouraging and the feeling of "belonging" is palpable. My workouts here are often the best part of my day - I can't rave about this place enough.

Pete Schwab: Great gym. Hidden gem in Georgetown. The vibe here could not be more welcoming. It’s like a really cool family. Coaches are top notch. I’ve been weight training at 777 for over a year with Taylor, the owner. Her programming really works for me and I’ve had great results. I get super personal coaching that has pushed me as an athlete, but in a safe, methodical approach. I’d recommend this gym to anyone.

The gym culture overall is really accepting.We started training 1:2 with the owner as our personal trainer training up my partner and I after we really fell off the workout wagon during COVID. It brought us out of our slump and prepped us for joining the group classes which looked SO intimidating at first but wasn't the case once we joined in! You can adjust the workout to your skill level and no one cares if you can't do a handstand pushups

Bryce Pielage: It's a really awesome gym that I've been going to since 2020, I've met a lot of really wonderful people there, and It's easy to become friends with people at this gym. The owner Taylor is a lovely individual who I've known for quite some time, and she makes a great coach and person overall.

Asia Beale: This is my favorite gym! As a more quiet person, and not extremely athletic, I am so nervous stepping into new gym spaces and communities. I had no reason to worry here! The coaches and staff are there to help you reach any goal, no matter how big or small. And the other athletes are the most encouraging group of people. You can tell that everyone at this gym loves the community they’ve created, and I’m so happy to be a part of it!

Stephanie Xie: Love the Pilates classes here! The instructors are great about correcting your form, giving different options, and explaining the moves so you don’t injure yourself. Out of all the studios I’ve tried I like the Pilates here the best!

Swechha Ghimire: This studio and the instructors are awesome! Sometimes the Pilates classes at studios can be super chaotic and demanding but I feel like the classes at Tribe are challenging but manageable!! The instructors are also really nice and explain how to do positions well! Sometimes the music isnt my fave but thats really my only complaint!

Jessica: has been super great at what they do and they always jump in to help correct my form when needed in a friendly and nonjudgemental way. I can already feel myself building strength and actually look forward to working out rather than dread it. The strong and lean class in the back room is also a great circuit based class using traditional weights, and I switch it up between that and the reformer light class throughout the week!

Monse Valdez: 10/10, absolutely recommend. Tribe is amazing. Wonderful instructors who will help you with your form, clean studio, great music and great class variety. I really like that Tribe feels like a community.Any questions you could possibly have are answered in their studio policies but the staff is incredibly friendly and wont hesitste to answer your questions

Mister Hyde: The gym and staff are excellent and the work outs are fun. They've also been very good with accommodating a pre-existing injury.

Amrit Singh: CrossFit can be very technical and intimidating. VALKYRIE does a great job of educating newbies, creating a culture of inclusivity and encouragement, and offering modifications for all exercises to fit varying experience and ability.

Neil Byers: I joined Valkyrie a little over a month ago and really appreciate the structure of the workouts, being able to track my performance and the welcoming community. Class sizes are usually no more than 10 people so you really have an opportunity to get to know others and have personalized coaching. It’s a great place to be, whether you’ve done CrossFit before or if you’re trying it for the first time.

I love that our community is comprised of a wide range of ages and skill levels and that there are so many different ways we measure and celebrate success.
